I broke the top of my iphones screen when i droped it about a foot down on concrete. I aslo saw that people said that you could go to a apple store and get it fixed for free? Is this true or what are some places where u can fix it cheap?

No. User abuse is not covered by warranty. If a Genius decides to break their policy and give you a free replacement, that's up to them, but very rare. I would walk in there with $149 in hand to be prepared.
