Why must i reset 3G network onoff everytime i turn on phone iPhone

Is this happening to anyone else??? I hit the sleep button to take it out of sleep, slide across like usual and then go to mail or safari and just connecting............................................................................................connecting.......800 a day message -(safari cannot open page because server stopped responding)................................................connecting.....................................&*%#@!!!!
Turn off 3G, then turn it back on and then it works. What has happened to this phone. Im on #3 and its the same crappy 3G. My phone worked 100% great the fisrt three weeks and then out of nowhere it turns into a brick. Why cant apple, or att or whoever is responsible for this mess just own up to it and fix it.
But besides my tireless venting is anyone else having these problems, even when they have 3G signal? Is this part of the 2.0.3 fix that everyone is complaining about with the dropped calls?
