Why doesn t apple provide Model info designated for specific country or carrier iPhone
Reply TopicWhy doesn't Apple just reveal the model numbers so the consumers know which carrier the iPhone was originally locked to? Instead of having consumers running around to ask multiple carriers in different countries to find out which country or carrier it was locked to begin with.

#4If you're buying an iPhone new its easy to know which carrier it is locked to.
If you're buying second-hand it would be a question for the person you're buying from before you part with your money.

#6The model number is also on the back of the phone and in the 'About' section of Settings>General.
