Why are my photos in my camera roll missing after updating to iOS5.1.1 iPhone 4S
Reply TopicI just updated my iPhone 4s to the newest iOS5.1.1 to my horror, my photos in my camera roll are all missing.
I backed up and everything before updating but my photos are gone.
I've rebooted it, restored it several times but it won't work.
My lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers are saved in my camera roll previously and they're still present.
Why?
HELP ME PLEASE, SOMEONE?

#2You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
Have you failed to do this?

#3I don't think I did. I only backed it up on iTunes like I usually do when I updated my iOS previously.

#4Your pics are very likely gone.
You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. especially before any update/restore/etc.
Camera Roll is temporary storage.

#5Oh my god. Okay, thanks anyway. Strange though. I never imported my photos previously, but they were there when I updated the iOS and restored from backup.
