Is there a voice/audio recorder app that will allow me to record for however long and will allow me to email no matter how big the file size? I need to record and email long lectures for the organization that I'm in.

Have you tried the built in voice recorder? You can record and email from it.

I've read that people have a hard time saving or emailing long recorded files (>45 mins) using the built-in app app. I've not tried a long one myself.

The best audio recording app I have used would be iTalk Recorder Premium.

It's only two clams from the App Store, the sound is excellent and there is no limit on how long the recording can be.
