Does any one know what is the NORMAL time an Iphone 4S takes to search and find its Carrier from...

 

Power Up - my Iphone 4S takes 45 seconds to 1 min after power up ( unacceptably slow for a phone )

 

From

 

Settings/Carrier turning Auto to OFF and locating the list of carriers in your area.  my Iphone 4S again takes 45 seconds to 1 min to list the carriers ( unacceptably slow for a phone )

 

What this means is if you lose your carrier connection due to weak signal you sit and wait for up to 1 min for it to reconect beofre you can call the cleint back.

 

What is everyone's Search to loacate carrier times ???

 

Or have I got a DUD that has a hardware problem.

 

Ran a complete Restore and its still Slow to locate carriers....

Possibly 1-2 seconds.

 

At my house ATT just now with 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S it took each the same time (1-2 seconds) to go from Airplane Mode ON to OFF, to Searching to ATT reception bars.

Possibly 1-2 seconds.

Hi Brad805,

 

Airplane mode is not quite the same tesd as this suspends the connection then it resumes to do a complete carrier search you need to power of the phone and power on again, or go to settings/carrier and turn AUTO off and wait to see how long it takes to find the list of available carriers.
