I can place a call and it connects, as I can also recieve calls, the problem is there is no sound. Im not sure thats the right way to describe it but i can't hear anything nor can the other person hear me. I can still text and do everything else I just can't use the call option. I'm not sure how or what I can do to fix it.

have you switch the mute switch on muting all sounds by any chance?

I am having somewhat of the same issue...People can hear me talk but I can't hear the dialtone and/or the person taling to me on the iPhone. Hopefully someone can answer this here because the Apple Store tried for about 2 hours and couldn't figure it out until I had to leave and take phone with me. Then support on the phone said I need to pay $29 just to have them "try". Apple support is a JOKE. No wonder there are 700 people at the Apple Store everytime I walk in, they are all getting the runaround!!!
