Please help me figure out what'sgoing on with my phone...

What is the point of having a "one touch" system if it doesn't work, and i have to go back to the baics of dialing my own number.

Contact AT*T for voicemail issues.  I use AT&T and have no problem with voicemail issues that you have describe.
