Usage Times Reset iPhone

Not sure if this problem has been posted recently, but my phone (1st generation) will not retain any of the usage stats concerning usage or standby time under the heading time since last full charge. Underneath reads a comment Usage times will be shown after iPhone is fully charged. I have read numerous posts online, none of which I have found to be successful. After contacting the Apple support team, I decided that restoring the device as a new phone would have to be my next step (I have the most recent version of I-tunes - just a side comment)
Ater about an two hours of doing a clean install of 2.0.2 and then configuring the phone as it was, I see that my problem is still here.
I should probably uninstall any/all of the 3rd party applications I have on the phone (I restored those as well) to see if that helps, but I was wondering if there were any users out there who have experienced this same frustration, but found a solution.
Another side note - it does appear that my battery life has dimished with this issue as well - used to recharge after about 3 1/2 days - now I am recharging after 1.5.
Any commesnts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Yes, I am getting the - signIt is just affecting the uasge & standby times, but the call times appears to be reflected accurately.
I guess I will have to unsync the application files and see what impact that has on this feature overall.
I agree - I do think it is somehow related to some of the apps I have installed.
I did call Apple last night and this was their recommendation (to do a restore as a new phone). Not sure if its better to deal with their phone support or to go into one of the Apple stores to speak to tone of their techs.
