I got a second hand iphone 4 (which was almost brand new) locked to Three Netowrk. I've been using it normally in the UK with Three for over 12 months and I guess I can unlock it now.

 

My girlfriend unlocked her Three Iphone 4 by calling 333 and simply providing them the IMEI and a three sim number, which will be used to unlock the handset. While when it comes to me, the three staff on 333 told me I must have a receipt to unlock it. But it is impossible for me to find the receipt or go to the store where the iphoine was bought  and ask another receipt.

 

So, does it mean I  cannnot unlock my iphone?

 

I am in China now and I really wanna unlock the phone. It is really annoying since I cannot go back to the UK until Octorber, while by then iphone 5 will be released  and I will no longer need unlock it.

 

Anyone got an idea what I can do?

Sorry, it's between you and Three. There is nothing us users can do. Only the company the phone is locked to can unlock it.
