Unable To Change From Vibration Mode to Ring Mode iPhone 3G

I downloaded some new programs and seems like something went wrong
and now when someone calls me, the phone vibrates only. I checked
all my settings under sounds and enabled everything, but nothing
seems to make it ring:

Any clue what else to check for?

1. Check that the silent switch on the side of the phone isnt set to silent mode (red dot). Flip it on and off to be sure.
2. Reset the phone by pressing the home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple icon appears.
3. Restore the phone using a backup.
4. Restore the phone to New iPhone
5. Make an an appointment at the local Apple Genius Bar.

You nailed it with the first one:
1. Check that the silent switch on the side of the phone isnt set to silent mode (red dot). Flip it on and off to be sure.
I have a rubber cover and as such, Im not able to see it unless I remove it.
Anyhow after the switch, it is working again. Thanks for your help!
