I have recently bought an iphone 4which i have found out through some website is locked on at&t. I have tried contacting at&t through their website which is the biggest maze i have ever seen. I think you need an account to use their online support. Is their anything i can do?

Iphone is ios5.1.1 baseband 4.12.01 if this helps.

If you are not a current or former AT&T customer in good standing and/or cannot provide proof of purchase for a no commitment phone from either Apple or AT&T, then you're wasting your time. They will not unlock it.  If it's possible to return it and get your money back, do so. Otherwise, sell it to someone in the US and buy one you can use.
