I set my phone to vibrate for all notifications.
However, when I am talking on the phone, and get an email; calendar request; text; etc .... the phone jarringly buzzes in my ear. It's extremely disruptive because it's completely unexpected. In my line of work, losing focus on a business call because the phone vibrates deep into your ear can be disatrous.
Is there a simple setting that allows notifications to be turned OFF while you're talking on the phone?
Not to be a sore sport - but this was an easy setting on my stone-age BlackBerry.
Thanks
No current way to do so, tell Apple you want it: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
i dont think you can do what your asking.
I just simply turn off all notifications except voicemail. Which is the same a the call waiting indicator when a 2nd call comes in.
I simply look at the new email badge when i feel the need to check my email. I dont like any non urgent notifications that disrupte any part of the day unless its voicemail. Otherwise I just look at the phone for anything new.
Thanks for the link. Wrote them a request and will keep my fingers crossed. Seems to be an oft-asked update, from what I see via Google
I agree Apple needs to fix this issue.
imo it defeats the whole purpose.
even just one vibrate would work
