Is it true that the iPhone is not mms compatible? And if so I assume thats for both send and receive? I find this a big fault if its true...... I am a Sony Ericsson P series user, currently have a P1i these phones do everything but I really want an iPhone, even more so for the compatibility with my MacBook. However the iPhone texting issues (eg mms, forwarding, slow and inaccurate texting) have me worried Ill be downgrading on the technical abilities of my current phone??

Its true, no MMS. You can receive MMS but you are really directed to the viewmymessage website to actually view the photo sent.
There is also no forwarding.

The faulty thing about the viewmymessage website, is that you cant view it from the iphone, so its almost pointless they send you a hyperlink to the website.
If you want more information on the phone send me an email.

Yeah thats true. That is the biggest joke of them all. You are directed to go to the viewmymessages site and you cant even get to it on the phone itself. You have to go to it on your computer and the site is flash based so the photo sent to you cant even be saved to your computer.

The iphone does not support MMS. In some countries, including the U.S., you can e-mail pics to other mobile phones - they will receive as an MMS. You can also receive pics from other cell phones -they can MMS to your e-mail account.
The iphone does not support forwarding SMS.
I have never had a problem with slow and inaccurate texting.

Email is used to send and receive pictures in place of MMS. If one of my friends wants to send me a pic, they put my email address in the TO field of their MMS client. If I want to send them a pic, I send email to their MMS client. For example, if it is an ATT subscriber, I send it to their phone number@mms.att.net.
SMS works fine but you cannot forward a text. Im not sure what you mean by slow and inaccurate texting.
If MMS and forwarding texts are priorities for you then the iPhone isnt the best fit.
