Think headphone broke iPhone 4

My iPhone says the headphones are in and I can't hear nothing through the earpiece even though there isn't anything plugged in it. I've read about blowing the socket, window cleaner on a cotton bud etc which I'll try when I get home but I think the sockets broke as the headphones go in and out with no resistance?

Before the headphones clicked to lock in but now nothing, just goes in and out
