texting issue iPhone

occasionally when I want to send a sms, the keyboard does not come up on the screen which means I cant select a contact or indeed type the message,
Any ideas? has anyone else experienced this?

never heard of this. Did you try a reboot, then try to send an sms to see if keyboard comes up?

This has also happened to me a few times. To solve this problem, I exit the sms app, open up the iPod app, mess around for a few seconds with my music, then go back to the sms app and everything works fine again. Its weird but doesnt happen that often.

I agree with Anthony. Once in a rare time since 2.1, Ill be frozen in a conversation screen, cant return to the list of on-going conversations. Ill hit the home button, go back to SMS and everything is fine. Mind you Im saying 2 or 3 times since early Summer when 2.1 came out. Out of 3,000 TMs a month, I dont consider it a problem. Enjoy your iPhone, I do!
