Ive found several devices or apps that actually block Texting emailing even calls for phones in motion. But they all seem to work with Droid or every other phone besides Apple!? Does anyone know of a device or app that actually BLOCKs a driver from texting while driving.
If not why doesnt apple support this? This is a safety issue!
Ratyrob,
There is an app for that on the iPhone just go to the app store and do a search. I just did a search and found one but I have already forgoten the name... senior moment.![]()
CAVEAT - But they all use GPS running in the background and that will drain the battery very quickly.
Update: I re-searched for the app and it is called "MobiLocPlus".

Rat, I hope the app the Holman suggested works for you, but having said that, your obvious "attitude" is annoying. This is a user forum and none of us are associated with Apple. If you would like to suggest a product enhancement you can do so here

If texting is a huge issue and you can't trust the kids not to do it while driving, call your cell provider and have them disable texting. Though they may think otherwise, teenagers can live without being able to send or receive text messages. I live in a location where a number of fatal accidents have been caused by texting, distracted, drivers. It simply isn't worth the risk. You can also log on to the cell provider site and see what time texts are sent at. If the times correspond to the times they were driving, take their phones away....and please, when you come to this forum, leave your attitude at the door.

Holman, Thank you. I did not see that app or I skipped right over it due to its low ratings. Ill start researching them when Im finished here.
Bonesaw, thank you too, especially for the link to feedback. As far as my attitude, guilty as charged however I stand by my response to KiltTim. He did NOT help me. In my opinion his response was unnecessary and condescending. I asked a simple question, about an apple product not for parenting or legal advice. Perhaps if this is a sore subject someone who cares enough could create an easily found topic to answer repetitive questions. (I get the feeling thats what this is) I did do a search of the boards before I asked my question. Maybe I didn't use the right queries but the attempt was made.
Thank you all for your time.
