Facebook Push Notifications not working on iPhone 4S 6.1.3 and macbook Pro OS X 10.8.3

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? I realy need notifications about messages on iOS and OS X.

My iPhone 4S charges fine when plugged into my macbook, but if I leave it plugged in overnight, it will lose 20 to 30% of it's charge? Any reason for this?

So a nasty smash destroyed both Front & Back of my iPhone 4, and since having them replaced the Wifi signal has been really weak. I have seen other posts about screen replacement having to be done by going through the antenna, so something could be missing, or done incorrectly during the screen repair. Will definately be taking it back to the shop and finding out if It was put back together properly.  In the meantime I was wondering if it is possible to share my macbook Pro's Wifi (always full signal in my house) directly to my iPhone either using USB cable or through bluetooth. It's not been too much of a problem but it would be nice to use my iPhone in bedroom using the Macbooks good signal.  Note: The replacement front screen on iPhone has a small gap >1mm between the screen and centre metal casing on the left side just above the Silent/Loud Switch, which can be noticed by light leaking through the gap. The metal casing also still has a small dent between the volume down buttons and silent/loud switch, again nothing drastic 1mm maximum

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart.  I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode.  However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore".  On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9.  I have tried 3 different cords, on both my macbook Air and my iMac.  Same results on both computers.  She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children.  This phone has not been jailbroken.  Any help would be sooooo appreciated!  Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

universal equalizer I listen to music outside of itunes and want it equalized on my iphone .

I know of an app called boom on macbook pro, but is there something, whether it be hardware or software, that will allow me to adjust the levels on my iphone for everything that produces sound? so if I watch a youtube video and want it equalized, it will be adjusted to my preset levels, or if I want to listen to pandora, it will automatically be adjusted to my preset levels? iPhone won't sync with iTunes iPhone 5

Hi my iPhone won't sync with iTunes over wifi. When I plug if in with the USB cable it shows up then disappears in iTunes. It also sometimes won't charge. I have to keep plugging it and unplugging it until it charges. I thought it was the cable but that doesn't explain not syncing over wifi. I had never faced any need for warranty repairs or any such thing previously.  My luck with the Iphone 5 was not the same. Just 5 Months and my Sleep/Wake button just refuses to work. But the Horror was when i reached the zain Telecom store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I was told by them that Apple has refused to take Any Iphone exibiting Scuffing or Scratches as this renders the iphone out of warranty. It just Dosnt make any Sense when Senior Apple SVP for Marketting Phill Schiller Him self on 25 Septeber 2012 in an email to an apple user have acknowledged that this kind of scuffing is natural to any aluminium product. I would like some one from Apple to Respond to this issue of mine and give me a solution. The worst part is there no authorised service in the country. It won't, not sure it even sees in on my phone. How do I get this copied over to my iTunes on my laptop. I'd like to sync it to my iPad now too.

Dying iPhone 5

I have been having multiple problems with my iphone 5 and ive only had it for 6 months. I have been restoring it to factory settings on a regular basis however it still has been having problems (more and more frequent.      #1 Teathering. I have been having trouble teathering off of my phone. (i tried several devices to rule my macbook out of the troubleshooting, nothing works) No device picks up my wifi or bluetooth personal hotspot. My macbook does not even recognize my USB connection in network settings.      #2 My wifi on the phone is also a hassle. It has been becoming more and more intermittant, but rarely works. I have tried multiple networks with the same result.      #3 My phone has become generally slow especially for safari and mail. On wifi, they dont work at all. on 3G, and LTE, the phone has also become very slow and often won't load at all. As stated above, restoring used do fix everything but that fix has become very short term, and often hasn't been working at all. Can someone help me?

Major iPhone 5 issues Help

I've had my iPhone since release date. Everything has been working great up until about a week ago. The phone has an amazing battery life, I guess an update fixed that for me. But now my iPhone will reset itself out of no where 3-4 times a day at random times. The keyboard will get stuck on the screen after entering something and clicking done. Also the iPhone will freeze (I've tried leaving it for as long as a half an hour) and be totally unresponsive. I usually have to use the sleep/wake button in combination with the home button just to reset the phone so it works. It also randomly drops and won't connect to my home wifi at all, I also have a iMac, macbook Pro, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S and all of these work flawless with zero problems on my wifi network. My warranty is out in September, but I'm worried about going to an apple genius and having them ask me to re create the problem. What if it doesn't happen at that time? What can I do?

iPhone 4 has very short WiFi range

I have an 8Gb iPhone 4 that I bought new in December.  Two days ago, it stopped connecting to my home WiFi network unless it is really close to my router, and it won't connect to my university's WiFi network either.  When I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows that no networks are in range.  It connects to my home router when I take it within four feet of the router, but when I walk to a different room it disconnects and goes back to 3G; I haven't found a router at school to try this with yet.  My phone has auto-connected to both my home and school networks for months now.  I know the problem is with the phone, because my macbook Pro connects to both networks without any trouble. I've tried turning my phone's WiFi off and on, turning my phone off and on, and turning the WiFi off, then turning the phone off, then turning both back on to no avail.  Any help is appreciated.

imessage works for macbook but not iphone iPhone 5

Hi,I have an iPhone 5 and macbook Pro 13" Retina. I "imessage" from both, and it worked smoothly before but now I am starting to have some problems.. First of all, on my macbook, I can imessage people easily, but whenever I send it from my laptop, it does not sync to my phone.  When i try to send a imessage from my phone, it says delivered, but the person on the other line sends back their answer in regular "text" form for EVERY one of their replies . It has been happening for a couple of days now and it is getting really annoying... Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey guys,Does anyone know how i can get a print out of my entire text message history for one conversation on my iphone 4.  I know it is in the phone because i can view it bit by bit if i continue to scroll and hit "view previous messages" but i am in the middle of a legal thing and i desperately need a print out of the history of this one conversation.  There has to be a computer genius out there than can help me.  There must be a way to export it to my macbook or my email or something.  Please if you know anything i would be so grateful.  Thank you!

iOS 6.1.3 update deleted my macbook Pro calendars iPhone 4S

While syncing my iPhone 4S to iTunes yesterday, I received and downloaded the iOS 6.1.3 update for iPhone (connecting to my macbook Pro).  After the sync, I pulled up my calendars on macbook and discovered they had suddenly been completely wiped out.  My iPhone and iPad still have the current calendars, as does iCloud, but the macbook information has been completely deleted.  Now I will not sync my devices to the Mac for fear their calendars will also be deleted.  I've searched both iCloud and my Mac, but I can't figure out how to sync or export the calendars from iCloud back to my laptop. My macbook Pro runs on OS X 10.8.3.  For the many years I have used iCal, this has never happened before.  Any suggestions?  Thanks so much!

Large file transfer from iPhone 4S to macbook Pro

Hello,  I have a video that's nearly 10 gigs on my iPhone 4S that I can't get on to my macbook Pro.  I've taken a few videos that are around three to six minutes and haven't had any issues.  I get a message telling me, "Error Downloading Image, iPhoto can not import your photos because there was a problem downloading one of your images." I'm stumped.  I really don't want to delete and lose this video, but I can't be having a 10 gig video on my iPhone forever.  Can anyone help? Thanks!

iTunes library to iPhone

Is there anyway you can 'transfer' the songs in your iTunes library to your iPhone without having to connect the iPhone to your macbook? I don't see how I can use iCloud to do so, and I believe iTunes Match(?) is the only option, yet it must be paid for.   Reason I ask: I think my Port is defected and I already have problems charging my iPhone 4S. 1.) To charge in the Car: I first must turn off my iPhone, then connect it to the car charger. the iPhone will turn on as usual, and will charge while On.  2.) To charge in the House: I must connect the iPhone to the cord/charger that's already plugged in the wall outlet, then turn the iPhone off; it will ONLY charge while off.3.) iPhone will not connect, nor be recognized when plugged into macbook.  I'm unsure what the issue is with that.. some say it's the battery, I haven't came across any discussions mentioning a defected port. unfortunately, there is not an Apple Care location in my area!  however in the meantime, is there ANYWAY I could get my iTunes Library music from my macbook to my iPhone without having to connect them both?

I recently purchased an iphone 5 and snow leopard OS 10.8.6 so that I could sync my phone and my computer (macbook Pro). I have also updated itunes. With my old phone, syncing used to be automatic. Now, when I use the USB to plug in the phone, nothing happens. Clearly I need to do something elseto get all this to work together, but what?

What happening to my iPhone 5

Hello everyone. I live in Colombia and my phone service is Claro. On November, I got the iPhone 5 and I had 1 year of warranty for it. Last week, I dropped my iphone into this bowl of water by accident but I took it instantly and when I looked at it, the phone was still on so I used a towel and dried it. I didn't know if I could press any buttons because maybe it'd make it worse so I didn't press any buttons. However, few minutes after that, the whole screened turned negative so my sister suggested to put it on dry rice. I left it there for several hours. When I took it back, I connected it to the charger and it turned on and everything was working perfectly except the signal, it kept saying "Searching.." so I tried turning it off and reseting the iPhone but it didn't work. After a few hours, it died. I connected it again to the charger and the Apple sign appreared but it was gone after a little while and it didn't turn on.  I took it to my phone service support and they checked it and since there was water involved, they told me they couldn't fix it because it was out of the warranty. Then I went to an Apple Store but they told me they didn't fix iPhones so I came home and I connected it to my macbook Pro and it turned on with the sign of connecting to iTunes so I did and a pop up came up saying it was in Recovery Mode and that I had to restore it so I did even if everything will get deleted and right now it's currently "iPhone is currently downloading software for iPhone" so what exactly is happening to my iPhone 5? Is it dead forever? Can it still live? What should I do so it lives? I'm so sad and worried, haha. Help me out, please and thank you!

Wifi Grayed Out iPhone 4S

I have an iPhone 4s 16gb.The setting to turn on wifi is grayed out.It had this problem and I re-started the phone a few times.Wifi would work temporarily and then not show up. I upgraded the phone to 6.1.2.Before upgrading, I backed the phone up on my macbook Pro. I am still unable to turn on wifi. Any suggestions?

Okay so I got my macbook Air today and am trying to update my iPhone 4 to the newest software 4.3.5 as I have had some signal issues with it and they have advised me to do so.It gets to halfway through the dowbload and then sayd "network timed out please check your network settings." My internet is completely fine and my firewall on this mac was turned off and I obviously have no other anti virus on here.Please help because I was reluctant to spend so much money on a Mac anyway - everyone advised me how much better they are and now this has happened!! Cheers, Tarah

4s baseband chip wont work after ios 6 update

hi, i got this itunes error (-1) when trying to update my iphone 4s from ios 5.1.1 to ios 6. i have tryed many internet solutions but none of them worked. i got to the conclusion that the baseband chip is not working. it's there some way to restore to any of the ios versions without the baseband chip, like just for running apps. any solution will help thanks mac os x 10.8macbook 2009iphone 4s (restore mode)

Mail only working over Cellular no WiFi Networks. iPhone 3G

A couple of days ago my Mail service at home stopped working. I only can receive Emails when I switch off WiFi and use my AT&T 4G. At home I am using a whole Apple enviorment and all my devices (iPad mini (6.1.1), iPhone 4S (6.1.2), iPad (5.1.1), macbook Pro (10.8.2)) can not receive Emails. When I am going to iCloud.com I can send and receive mails on my Mac, but over the OS X Mail.app and iOS Mail.app nor receiving nor sending works. I am using several Accounts on all deveices (iCloud, Yahoo!, Google and AOL) most of them are not working, only AOL received one mail yesterday. My first thought was of course the WiFi network which might have problems with the Apple Mail program, but I already tried another network with my iPhone. In this other network I am getting an error on my iPhone which tells me "Cannot get Mail. Connection to server failed." On my Mac at home mail.app tells me that my account are offline and that there might be a problem with iCloud, for more information visit iCloud support etc. Yes I did restart my deveices, yes I tried deleting and adding the mail account, yes I tried restarting the WiFi and yes I did that with iOS and OS X.

Audible Audiobook Won t Sync to IPhone From iTunes

I got my first audiobook with the free Audible trial yesterday and after I downloaded it from the Audible website, I was able to open it and listen to it in iTunes on my macbook. However, when I synced my IPhone to my macbook, everything but the audiobook got transfered over. The audiobook was categorized under "audiobooks" in iTunes, so I know that the audiobook did not get thrown into a playlist under music in iTunes. I confirmed this after searching through my iTunes library. in itunes, I even made sure to check the box saying "Sync Books", however, I noticed that iTunes did not give me the option of changing the drop down menu specifying what kinds of book would be synced to the iPhone. I attached a print screen of this menu. As you can see, this drop down menu is frozen (light grey) and is restricted to only books and PDFs, which I assume does not include audiobooks. In the end, my Audible mobile app shows that my audiobook has not been put on the iPhone because whenever I press the "Refresh" button, it shows that the iPhone had not yet been downloaded (I couldn't downloaded it through 3G because the audiobook exceeded 50MB). I can't connect my iPhone 5 to my WIFI.

I bought my iPhone 5 32Gb from the Apple Store in Hong Kong and had it shipped to the Philippines where I currently reside. I've read some issues regarding the iPhone 5 not being able to connect to the internet and having a very weak wifi range. I've dealt with the weak wifi range already but my problem now is:  I accidentally pressed "Forget Network" (home wifi) at home and now I can't seem to connect again. My macbook Pro, iPad and Samsung S3 have absolutely no problem with connecting to the internet and it's just my iPhone 5 with the issues.  I've tried Resetting everything but still cannot connect to my Wifi. It just keeps on saying "Incorrect Password" though I'm 100% sure that it is since all my other devices are working perfectly.  Please help me.  Thank you in advance guys!

I believe (99%) it is in my house, but I'm not sure. My 'Find My iPhone' app says its "offline" because it is dead. It is scyned with my macbook Air. IOS 6.1 Battery Severely Affected After Upgrade WiFi unquiescing requested by locationd iPhone 5

Since the IOS 6.1 update on my iPhone 5 I've noticed my battery has been severely degraded. I never make it through the day now without it dying - used to be at 35-45% every night when I went to bed. Just now it was at 40% (12pm), unplugged it from the charger at 6:30am and it has been locked and asleep since. How does it drain 60% doing nothing! And it's Sunday, on a regualr workday it would be dead by now. Unacceptable. I've read other posts and have tried several fixes: -Deleted all email accounts including Exchange account and iCloud-Turned off all location services-Updated all APPS and deleted ones I was not using-Deleted Find Friends APP as another post suggested this would help-Re-booted phone after turning it off for over 1 minute-Added back Exchange, Gmail and iCloud email accounts Then I downloaded the Xcode app onto my macbook Pro and discovered the following error is happening as a loop when my phone is locked and should be sleeping: WiFi unquiescing requested by "locationd" Any ideas what this is? This is COMPLETELY ridiculous. I have been a LONG time Apple supporter and it's hard when things like this happen to defend the greatness of Apple products to non-users-seriously....I shouldn't have to spend hours researching a fix for a problem that has clearly affected sever thousand if not hundreds of thousands of people since the upgrade, ALL complaining about the same thing. I'm stuck on which iPhone to buy. iPhone 5

Hi. Right now I have an iPhone 3GS, and since I have some spare money I'm considering buying a new phone. I think since I already have an iPhone, I might aswell get a new one. But I don't know which to buy. I don't want to buy a phone which has tonnes of stuff I don't need or has nothing at all on it I need. My options are iPhone 4S or 5. I'm not sure about 4 because the network issues and it's overall just an old phone. The 4S is a good phone, as most of the people I know have it, and it's got most of the things I need, but I'm not sure if the iPhone 5 is worth it because most of the new features are included in iOS 6, other than 4G LTE. Please help, because if I buy the wrong phone I will have a problem on my hands.  PS. Incase this helps, right now I have the iPad mini, iPhone 3GS, macbook Pro 13inch 2.6Ghz mid-2010, iPod shuffle 4th generation and iPod touch 2nd generation.

How can i connect two iphone s using bluetooth

I am trying to connect a iPhone 3 with an iPhone 4 using bluetooth so I can use the IP3 as a personal hotspot using a New Zealand prepaid Skinny sim (the IP4 has an Australian sim). I have paired the IP3 with my macbook Pro and a Samsung Galaxy using bluetooth and it works well as a hotspot. However the two iPhones can't discover each other ... is there a workaraound, eg an app that can enhance the very basic functionality provided by Apple? The phones are running iOS 6.0  and iOS6.1 respectively.

Yesterday, I realized that my iPhone 4s was running slow on our home Wi-Fi (AT&T U-Verse with a Motorola Gateway NVG510). I have the 12 Mbps plan and typically get around 11.0-11.5 Mbps on my macbook, macbook Air, iPad, iPad 2, etc. But, I used Speedtest yesterday after my phone felt slow and it is getting 1.5-3.0 Mbps at the most. The weird thing is that, up until now, my iPhone has tested at the same 11.0-11.5 that all my other devices get. I also checked my girlfriend's 4s and hers is going slow as well (1.5-3.0 Mbps).  Why are the two iPhones the only things that are going slow on Wi-Fi? I haven't changed any settings on the phone or to our home network (nor do I even know how to!). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have restarted the wireless gateway and restarted both phones with no change to Wi-Fi speed.

iPhone 4S bricked after 6.1 update-iTunes errors 211611

Yesterday my iPhone 4S asked me to install the iOS 6.1 update (via the Settings.app) "over the air". After downloading and preparing the update, the iPhone rebooted itself to start the update process.Unfortunately, this is where it all went wrong. It seems like the iPhone update failed somewhere along this process. It is now stuck in "Recovery Mode", with the picture showing me to connect the phone to iTunes. I have tried countless times restoring the phone via iTunes, on 4 different computers, and on Windows 7 and OS X.Nothing works. The restore process fails during the "Preparing iPhone" phase. Here's what happens every time:I can see the phone being restarted.The Apple logo shows up, and a little wheel in the bottom of the screen starts spinningAs soon as (usually even before) the progress bar shows up on the phone, the device suddenly shuts downThe iPhone reboots right back into recovery mode, asking me to connect to iTunes I'm quite desperate at this point. I have followed all steps imaginable (including turning off Windows firewall and antivirus software), but even then the restore still won't complete. iTunes always gives me the same error: 1611.When putting the phone into DFU manually, it gives me another error: 21.Both seem to point to third-party security software interfering with the restore process.However, having tried this on 4 different computers, I am 99% sure that this is not the issue. So far I've tried:HP Laptop - Windows 7Asus Desktop - Windows 72010 macbook Pro 15" - OS X Mountain Lion + Windows 8 (Bootcamp)2010 macbook Pro 13" - OS X Mountain Lion Also, I should mention that in Belgium there aren't any official Apple Stores where I can book an appointment at a Genius Bar. Is this 4S doomed?

iPhone 4 stuck in recovery mode while upgrading to iOS 6

I was trying to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 when it gave me this error message:  "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes" I can restore its original settings by clicking on the "Restore" button.  Once I've done that, will I still be able to Restore from Backup?  Or will the initial Restore to Factory settings wipe out my existing Backups that I made through iTunes on my macbook?   Luckily I Backed up the iPhone (to my computer through iTunes) before I tried to upgrade, so hopefully I can restore it to that backup?   Help!!!!!

iPhone 4 stuck on apple logo screen

Hello,I have an 8GB iPhone 4 that I got about a year ago (some point in January 2012). It has always worked well however I did drop it last June but it only cracked the backing and I went to Apple and got the back replaced. Nothing was wrong with the software! Then today my twitter wasn't working so I deleted the app and downloaded it again, it froze halfway through the installation so I decided to turn my phone off and on again. I turned it off and then on but it got stuck on the apple logo restart screen for about half an hour. So I decided to reboot it (sleep button + home button) and it got stuck on the same logo screen for 20 minutes. Since then I've done countless reboots and plugged it in to my macbook air; my phone didn't even connect. It just didn't do anything at all! Any ideas?
