HELP Problem with iPhone 4 screen color Discoloration and Image Persistence

Hi guys! I had this problem about 3 months ago. I started having this when I took a screen shot of a game then suddenly after the flash, the colors changed.Yesterday it came back to normal for the first time but after several minutes, it went back to the distorted colos mode.  Here are some pictures of the actual screen condition. You can see the problem here. The icons have a bit of a dark shade in their middle parts, but when I touch and select an icon, it shows their normal colors.*Look at the VIDEO ICON, PHOTO ICON and PHONE ICON.As you can see in this image, it's like on a thermal camera mode. LOL! it also has a large amount of image persistence in it.  In this image, you can see that the lower part of the screen is missing (blackened) and has some image persistence too. You can also see the difference in color of the messages tab.Image color is different and has image persistence too. The colors are different and the screens bottom part is darkened.  One thing I noticed here is that when the accesive touch button menu is active, the icons behind it get their normal colors back.*take a look a the APP STORE ICON, MAIL ICON, SAFARI ICON, CONTACTS ICON and PASSBOOK ICON    Any help guys? Is there any software that can fix this or any method you know? If there's anyone who have the same problem and has encountered the same problem, kindly reply and post some solutions.Thanks in advanced for those who will read this post and give me some answers!

But i like the thickness of the newer iphones. i didnt put iphone 5 cause its too big. (i dont have ocd) I'm just wondering because my sister has a 3g and not yet a crack (she has a temper) but i like the white iphones (wouldn't mine getting a black) i really dont know which iphone and which color to pick. Hello,  Apple user's, I am a 15yr old with a passion for computers & design. Anyways I am interested in developing for the iPhone, as I'll be getting one in a few months. I've never really developed any type of games before, but am in a game design school magnet, and want to begin to learn how to program as I've been meaning to for a while now. I'm interested in developing for the iPhone, and know I need a Mac, Objective-c knowledge as well as xcode knowledge, and a $99 Subscription to be able to sell and test my apps. So here's some questions I've been wanting to ask for awhile...1. Would you recommend a Mac-Mini ? I see i5 Mac mini's on craigslist going for around $400-$450, and know I could afford that. I switch between my mom/dad's house weekly, and have a Windows based desktop that I built w/ monitor at each house, So I'm thinking i could just bring a small Mac-Mini back and forth with me, as they're pretty small.2. Could you guy's point me towards some nice Objective-C or xcode tutorials or books? I've just started spring break and want to take advantage of the time off.3. I'm only 15, so how would I go about selling apps, Ill probably have mostly free apps but would like to incorporate paid versions too, and I know i need to be 18 to sign a contract, would i just get my mom to sign the contract, and if she gets taxed extra I would just pay her the amount she was taxed ? (BTW, I'm in FL)4. How would I sell apps under a company name, I've heard of people trying to list apps and it saying they're real name instead of a company / made up name. There are obvious reasons I'd like to sell an app under a company name, no one wants to buy an app from a company named, for example "Steve". It pretty much set's your app up for failure. Would I have to register all kinds of legal crap just to make it say a developer name like, for example " FunTide Apps".5. IOS 6.1 Battery Severely Affected After Upgrade WiFi unquiescing requested by locationd iPhone 5

Since the IOS 6.1 update on my iPhone 5 I've noticed my battery has been severely degraded. I never make it through the day now without it dying - used to be at 35-45% every night when I went to bed. Just now it was at 40% (12pm), unplugged it from the charger at 6:30am and it has been locked and asleep since. How does it drain 60% doing nothing! And it's Sunday, on a regualr workday it would be dead by now. Unacceptable. I've read other posts and have tried several fixes: -Deleted all email accounts including Exchange account and iCloud-Turned off all location services-Updated all APPS and deleted ones I was not using-Deleted Find Friends APP as another post suggested this would help-Re-booted phone after turning it off for over 1 minute-Added back Exchange, Gmail and iCloud email accounts Then I downloaded the xcode app onto my MacBook Pro and discovered the following error is happening as a loop when my phone is locked and should be sleeping: WiFi unquiescing requested by "locationd" Any ideas what this is? This is COMPLETELY ridiculous. I have been a LONG time Apple supporter and it's hard when things like this happen to defend the greatness of Apple products to non-users-seriously....I shouldn't have to spend hours researching a fix for a problem that has clearly affected sever thousand if not hundreds of thousands of people since the upgrade, ALL complaining about the same thing. This took me a month or two to spot and track down, so I am posting here for the benefit of others.There was nothing about this on Google. I am an iPhone developer, and I eventually diagnosed this by setting "Find My Friends" to geofence my real location and send a message when it spotted me leave. The second I started running an app on xcode (the Apple software used for developing iPhone and iPad apps) it pinged instantly. There is a setting in xcode that sets the GPS to a chosen dummy location whenever you run an app. It can be found by selecting Product>Scheme>Edit Scheme from the top menu, then select "Run appname" on the left and "Options" at the top. The one you want is "Core Location: Allow Location Simulation."  Just uncheck that box. Problem solved.

Where Can I Exchange My Iphone iPhone 5

This is a walmart purchase. I called to see if I could exchange it at walmart. I was told yes but they have limited quantity and I have to return this phone by monday. So my question is, if my local walmart/s don't have any iphones in stock, can I return my iphone to an apple store, or directly to apple via shipping for a straight exchange? (same color and amt. of memory).  I can't take care of the exchange until sunday, so the walmarts locally may not have stock.  I have had cosmetic issues with the phone very early on with a black iphone, and am going to ask if I can exchange it for a white iphone 5.  If anyone has been able to exchange at an apple store or directly through apple's HQ, let me know. This is my first iphone purchase and it seems like store policies on returns and exchanges vary from vendor to vendor.

Apple Rep won't replace iPhone iPhone 5

Hey all, I purchased an iPhone 5 ten days ago from a Verizon retail store. The phone completely shut down and wouldn't turn back on after a few days of use, I took it back to Verizon and they returned it with no problem, But when I got home and used the phone, I noticed a terrible yellow tinge to the phone, The next day I took it to my local Apple retail location, and compared it to the other iPhones, it was evident that there was some kind of issue. I made an appointment with the Genius Bar and he told me that it was something to do with the type of glue used to attach the LCD screen to the device, he said that it was not an actual issue, but he would replace it if it made me feel better. I agreed, after obtaining the new phone, I noticed that this new phone had an even worse yellow haze over the screen. I brought it up, but he said that it was not a defect and they wouldn't keep replacing phones over this non-issue. I have never had a problem with any apple product, and have not lost faith in the company, I love the phone, which is why I'm so ****-bent on getting one that doesn't take away from the magic of the device. I don't know whether this representative was right or not in preventing me from getting another phone, I'm still covered under the 14 exchange policy, applecare warranty, and a verizon warranty I purchased, I just want a device I can use without having that sickly yellow color jumping at me. I realize this may sound ridiculous and nit-picky, but it really does bother me, and everyone I've asked notices the problem also. Does anyone know if there is any way for me to exchange this phone? I'd even do it at a cost.

I have just bought an iPhone 5 black. So now I have white and black one(both 5).I was looking at the black one, when I noticed something differant from the white 'other than the color'. First, there are three "wholes" on the white iPhone -as in the picture- where A is the Camera, B is the Receiver+front mic, and C is to the left of B.All of these "wholes" are the same as my white iPhone, but on the black iPhone whole C is on the bottom slightly to the left of the Home Button. So is that normal? shouldn't C be to the left of B as in the white iPhone?

WiFi greyed out and we received a replacement iPhone. It says that if water indicators are tripped you pay full retail price. The phone still works completely fine except for the fact that the 6.0.0 update caused the wifi to quit working and the next one to cause it to grey out, but my question is what if only one of the two external indicators are tripped; is the warranty still void? The indicator that is tripped also is not completely red it is more of a pink color is that counted as water damage?Your help and experience are appreciated.

Hello!May I ask a favor from people who have: - New iPhone 4S (bought after iPhone 5 launch day)- Old iPhone 4S (bought prior to iPhone 5 announcement)- iPhone 5 Please take pictures of direct sunlight/focused to the sun AND indoor lighting/focused to the lights in the ceiling, BECAUSE, here's my problem.  I've heard about the iPhone 5 purple flare issue. There were multiple guesses on why, it was either a camera software flaw, (as Apple said) the thin and sleek design of iPhones nowadays and, the sapphire lens cover.At first, I was like, it was both a camera software flaw and because of the sapphire crystal lens cover. Then, I didn't mind it at all until when I went outing with my family: I randomly took pictures with my iPad 2 (WiFi+3G, November of 2011, yes, last year) focused on the sun and found a purple color present and recently used the iPad as my camera for my school field trip, and it still had the purple on it. I started thinking the purple thing is from the software the camera is offering and using, but I also was considering that the purple color wasn't as wide, thick and large like the one in iPhone 5 compared to my iPad. When the iPad mini was released, there were vloggers in YouTube posting videos about the 5MP 1080p iSight camera tests of the iPad mini. There were still purple colors of the sun's corona in them. I went iPod touch 5MP iSight camera tests and still saw the same thing, the purple lining. In fact, there were pictures of the iPhone 4S suffering from the purple color, which I assume that the iPhone 4S is running iOS 6 that time, I'm not sure though, it may be iOS 5.  So after seeing all these, I've thought, there was one commonality, they were all iOS 6 devices (as I said, not sure with the case of the 4S) But I then considered the larger purple ones in iPhone 5. So I was analyzing, and I came up with this: — The purple color is produced by the camera software provided by iOS 6, a flaw or something.— A larger purple color is much more prominent in iPhone 5 because of it's sapphire lens cover.— The sapphire lens cover in iPhone 5 captures thicker flare than ones in iPhone 4S and iPads, iPod touches.— Meaning, the purple color is present in the thick and extra area of flare, whatever the iOS device is. Tell me what you think. My 2 days new iPhone 5 camera having very serious problem. Try to snap photo, but unfortunately that the screen went purple color, black out and camera not function. Having error mesagge of " Error Launching the camera. Please try again. ". Try to open Instagram and camera roll also fail to open. Try to reset and restore the phone, it back to normal for awhile. iPhone 4S doesnt show charge symbol and charges very slowly on brand new MacBook Pro. Not recognised by iTunes. Charges fine on Asus laptop. iPod charges fine on Macbook Pro

Hi! I'm trying to fix a problem I'm having with my iPhone 4S and MacBook Pro. I did manage to connect it initially and set it up with xcode as well as iTunes. Today I have spent two hours trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro and I have so far found the following... iPod 2G - charges from MacBook Pro, Wall Charger, Asus Laptop (works with both my Apple USB cables)iPhone 4S - doesnt charge from MacBook Pro, but does from Wall Charger and Asus Laptop                  - Asus Laptop running Linux Mint recognises the iPhone as a device with 'lsusb' and you can browse photos etc                  - MacBook Pro doesn't recognise the iPhone as a device with the 'systemprofiler' equivalent of lsusb                  - Interestingly, despite the charging icon not showing, the iPhone either maintains charge or very, very slowly charges                     when connected to the MacBook Pro. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I've tried both the USB ports on the MacBook Pro and no difference. I've tried the 6 portson my old Asus laptop and they all work fine! Thanks for your help!

RE Issues with iPhone 4 syncchargerestore ERRORS after iOS6 upgrade iPhone 4S

I saw a lot of people through the forum that experienced the exact issue I have and I spent 4 hours trying to resolve it myself with frantic research. What helped me get my iPhone back: This morning I received the message to upgrade my iphone 4 to the ios6 upgrade through my home internet. I accepted. After the download went through my phone directed me to connect to itunes. I complied.After connecting to itunes it informed me that my phone was in recovery mode and that I must restore my iphone. Yet again, I complied. After hitting restore and it going through the restore process, it instructed me of an error and could not complete restore. My computer refused to recognise my phone at all and said that I needed to enter my passcode. My phone then continued to tell me to connect to itunes before it then went a step further and began restarting and just had the apple logo and/or loading circle for about 4 hours. No matter how long I held the home and power button on it just kept doing the same thing and to be honest, I was about to throw my phone out the window.  I researched different tips on here and other forums for hours and pressing all the reset buttons. I then set up my phone and connected it to my laptop and backed it up from there.  It was A LOT of fiddling around and just luck of repeating the same process over and over but this is what solved the issue that seems to be very common at the moment.  Any questions you're welcome to ask. I reassure you, I tried EVERY hold down button reset procedure and every time it failed and my computer absolutely was not registering my phone.  Hope this helps anyone.

Birthday calendar bizarre repetitions and other issues iPhone 3G

I have the STRANGEST things happening with birthdays on both my iPhone (5, 32GB, white, iOS 6) and iPad (32GB, iOS 6, white). I'm posting it here in the iPhone forum, assuming more people may be able to help.  First of all, I sync a Google Apps calendar with my iPhone and iPad via CalDAV. I also sync my Google Contacts with my address book (including birthdays), which syncs via my MacBook on OS 10.6.8 using the sync icon in the system tray. (I hesitate to call it MobileMe, even though that's what the System Preferences calls it, because it really has nothing to do with MobileMe -- it does not sync via MobileMe [I do not have an account], it just syncs my Address Book with Google with my phone or iPad when hooked up. It is through a WIRED connection that it does the final sync to the device.) So, my birthdays from my address/contact books and my Google contacts DO sync and they DO show up on both my iOS devices in the fancy Birthday calendar with the cute cake symbol, as well as in my Google calendar.  NOW HERE'S THE CRAZY PARTS. Sometime recently, my birthdays were getting repeated. But oddly, enough they are a different amount on the two iOS devices. I have 18 copies of all birthdays (on the same day) in my iPhone calendar and 68 (YES, SIXTY-EIGHT COPIES) in my iPad of every birthday.My Google calendar shows NO SUCH ERRONEOUS copies.The crazier thing is that the copies of the birthdays are NOT on the birthday calendar. In fact, IT'S AS IF THEY JUMP AROUND ON DIFFERENT CALENDARS. They show up all one color, but some random color. They will appear or disappear only SOMETIMES if I turn "off" some calendars or others (for example, once they would go away if I hid a "Personal" calendar, another if I hid a calendar I subscribe to via Google but sync via CalDAV from Weather Underground, and another calendar that is a Google calendar but also my "default calendar" in the iOS settings). And this is all within minutes.When I go into an instance of the repeated calendar event, it will actually say it belongs to my default calendar, regardless of what was hiding or showing it before.When I try to "edit" the birthday just to see what happens, it crashes the app.   WHAT. THE. ______???    Here's what already I've tried: Searching the internet for someone with a similar problem. NADA.Turning off the option to sync my Google birthday calendar via the Google sync page (I think it's actually unnecessary anyway, since iOS pulls from the contact book, anyway). That did nothing.Hiding all calendars and then selecting them to show one at a time to figure out which calendar was causing the problem, but as I mentioned above, it is not consistent.Re-syncing my devices with iTunes.Searching for and merging duplicate contacts in Google contacts.Turning off the iOS birthday calendar.Killing and re-starting the calendar app.Re-starting my iOS devices.Re-syncing my contact book with my devices.   Someone. Please. Tell me you're having this problem and that you have the solution? I'm going crazy over here! I can't remember anything that may have triggered this to happen.

Changing color of iPhone Numeric Keypad in IOS6

Good Day, A friend of mine is visually impaired and as a result some color schemes are better than others. She has an iPhone 4. Under IOS 5 her phone keypad was white numbers on black keys which she was able to see perfectly. Now since she updated to IOS 6 it is black numbers on white keys. This is very hard for her to see. Is there a way to change the colors on just the phone keypad? The rest of the phones colors are fine. I am quite technical so I am willing to make any necessary changes to the phone.
