volume control on iphone not working need helpJust yesterday it was fine but now its not there  I have a iphone 4s with iOS 5.1.1The volume button on the side no longer works when you press up or down it just pops up the screen that says ringer and the volume image but wont change the volume. Also where the volume is on apps like youtube is a black box and you cant change the volume or anything. Any help is appreciated.

universal equalizer I listen to music outside of itunes and want it equalized on my iphone .

I know of an app called boom on macbook pro, but is there something, whether it be hardware or software, that will allow me to adjust the levels on my iphone for everything that produces sound? so if I watch a youtube video and want it equalized, it will be adjusted to my preset levels, or if I want to listen to pandora, it will automatically be adjusted to my preset levels? Airplay Mirroring and HBO Go Audio Problems iPhone 3G

Hi folks,  Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of Airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting Airplay (Youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!

Right side of power button unresponsive at times registering two clicks. iPhone 5

So I've had the black iPhone 5 since October and only recently has the power button been a little off. I tried finding solutions for this online and the problem can be displayed in this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4uSROJwU_w Sometimes it works, but more than half the time clicking the power button on the right side will cause it to either not respond or cause it to blink (if locked) or lock then turn back on instantly (if trying to lock and screen is on). Left side seems to work fine but I'd just like to know what the cause is and if it's due to hardware issues covered by the one year warranty.

Hi, Yesterday I lost my iphone 5 which I bought 3 months back... I filled a police complaint, but i am not very hopeful with them. As Indian police will never make a move to find a cell phone. Anyways, Fortunately the "find my iphone" app was there in the phone and the location services were enabled with data. I tried to find it out from icloud.com portal but cell seems to be offline. And on calling the cell it is switched off. The only thing which I did not do in my iphone was to set a passcode. I am not sure how does the app behaves if some one restarts the phone. Is it possible for the thief to erase all data despite the app being active on the phone? Is it possible for the thief to use the phone by reseting it to factory setting without me getting location of the phone? I saw in one of the youtube tutorials that the phone will switch on and it ill try to find the data network, and if it finds data then it will send me intimation and blocks the cell. however, what is the scenario if the thief dont use the data and put on the phone? Or if he uses a SIM that does not have data connection? Can they reuse my phone. Can I do anything to prevent them using my iphone. I am trying to get my phone's IMEI number on tracking but dont know if it works before they reprogram my cell.( if at all they have so much brain). Please share your comments, views and suggestions and let me know the answers to the questions which I have asked. Thanks Abhishek Sinha

I am running out of usage space. How do I increase the total amount of space I have on my iPhone4S: for things like programs & apps such as, iTunes & more music & like MusicTube & YouTube. The only reason I have any space now is because the music that I had downloaded and synced onto my phone from iTunes I had to take it all off. I would really really love to be able to put my music back onto my iPhone. Currently I'm using apps like Spotify, AOLradio, and MusicTube to listen to music. This is exteremly unbelieveable. My YouTube app on my iPhone says the videos were uploaded 43 years ago! I was not even born by that time. Any idea what's going on? I reset the settings and erased content 3 times via the "Erase all content and settings" but this keeps happening.

I clicked on settings wifi, and saw that it would'nt connect to my wifi. So i left it, thinking it was my wi-fi. I woke up, and saw it still was the same, couldn't connect. So i turned it off, and then back on, and the greyed out wifi button came. I tried restarting, holding the home and power button. Nothing happened. I am really worried as i got it as a replacement for my old one, And had 3 months warranty on it. Its been like 5 months since i first bought it now. I cared for it so much, and it still broke.  I really cant have 3g , its too expensive. My dad says he will give me his htc wildfire s (ew) and have my iphone as he has 3g enabled.  I really dont want to try the hairdryer and freezer method as im not sure if its safe. Please help!!

Battery problems iPhone 4S

iPhone doesn't show charge more than 1%, however working longer then expecting at this amount of battery charge. I was playing several games for about 30 min., captured 5 min. video, watched few youtube videos, everything with turned on wi-fi, bluetooth, location services, etc. What logically means nothing wrong with the actual battery capacity, something wrong with the software. Due to this problem iPhone doesn't turn on, as it probably believe it have low charge, only after several hour plugged to charger (about 4-5) it goes on working again.  Things done: Hard reset (many, maybe too many times)Sofware restore P.S. Hi experts, need some help. I've had my iP4 for 2 years now, mostly trouble free.  Recently my sounds have "mostly" stopped working and I just can't figure out why.  I've done a lot of troubleshooting so here is what the symptoms are: - Volume up/down buttons do not work, nothing happens when pressed- Silent switch does not work, nothing happens when switched- Lock sound does not happen- Phone does not ring (only vibrates)- Phone does not alert or chime - Some apps audio does not work, but most apps play audio fine (youtube, music, videos, most games, etc)- When selecting ring-tone or alert sounds I can hear the sound, so the speaker is working fine Here is what I've tried- check all settings and switches, certainly not a setting issue- cleaned the dock connector with a brush, it is very clean- cleaned headphone jack, and insert/remove headphones multiple times- wiped all settings and restored to factory settings- updated to latest ios6 firmware- deleted "com.apple.iapd.plist" file using iexplorer, did nothing Seems like I'm just about out of options now!  Thanks for any help.

After fell in water of a pool (chlorine water) my Iphone 4S remained working for 4 hours aprox.,even tried to dry it with a hair dryer.Today its working but some loudspeaker functions are not working,i.e. cannot get sound from Youtube videos,only earphones working,cannot get sound from some messages.Sound from incoming calls is working good.Aditionally ,because the earphone plug could not be inserted well after a while(some obstruction inside de jack) ,I ve tried to spray with a contact cleaner solution and this solution damaged a part of the display.:-(What do you reccomend to do first?Thanks

First my laptop and itunes recognized my iphone and usb. Now it won't recognize it at all. When I plug my Iphone 5 into wall to charge it charges normally for about 2 minutes before it starts vibrating and charging off and on all crazy like.

I've had this phone for about 3 days, its brand new so why is it having charging problems already? I've read online and watched youtube videos about people experiencing the same problem but have found no solution. If I can't get help here should I go to Apple or Sprint to get this problem solved?

iPhone 5 camera not working

My iPhone 5 seems to have an issue with its camera, whereby upon starting the camera app, the camera goes as far as showing the shutter screen and sometimes a blank screen instead. None of the buttons on the screen are functional at that point except the gallery of course. Even the front facing camera isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to mend this problem. Yes, I know that it is best for me to go to the Apple service centre and sort it out but I'd prefer if there is any close-to-home quick-fix method anyone know of I can employ? Besides, I've been told that it takes about 14 working days for my phone to get checked and fixed. It's a bit too long for me with university around the corner. So any ideas? Recovery Mode stuck iPhone 4

So here my iPhone froze or something happened so I procede to turn off and then turn on the device. It loads the Apple showing that it is going to boot back up but then it sits there or freezes there. So I go on YouTube and look for a tut and all I found was just to put in DFU mode. I do that and my computer says that it can't load because there's a password and it follows saying that I need to go and disable the passcode. And I can't do that because it freezes at the Apple loading screen. So is the last thing I have to resort to is that I have to get new iPhone?

iPhone 4 Restore Problem

Hi, I've got a White iPhone 4 16GB Model and recently I've had trouble with it. First it started to drain the battery really fast so i decided to replace the battery but that didn't do the trick it still drained the battery. 15 days after replacing the battery i noticed the phone dumped its own operating system and reverted back to factory settings (iOS 5+ First time setup screen) i set the phone back up again and just left it.   after a few months of not touching it, because i got 2 other iPhone's (4s & 5) that i can use i thought i would restore the whole OS using iTunes and hoping that would solve the problem but i cant get far as to loading iOS onto the phone. after extracting the software the phone restarts and displays the 2001 error. Slow wifi streaming iphone 5

Help please. I have an iPhone 5 that experiences slow streaming over Wi-Fi. I would say it’s started from day one and never got better. I currently own an iPhone 3GS, 4S and iPad2 that don’t experience this problem. When I connect to any Wi-Fi network including Apple’s store network, after 5 mins videos played in YouTube no longer buffer or buffer very slow with jerky playback. When I switch to 3G it loads with no problems and I am not with the fastest telco. My current download speed at home is 20Mbs and I am not loading HD content. I have don’t heaps of research and tried the following:Re-set my router 2.4g and 5gTired a new router 2.4g and 5gVarious security settings on the routerRe-set my phone and restored (took 4 days)Re-set my phone and tested while in out of box stateRe-set network settings on my phoneTest it at the apple store Finally Apple replaced my phone and that too is doing the same thing, plus I think the battery has capacity issues now. Just taken another step back. As anybody got any ideas as to why I am having this issue with streaming? Why my iPhone 5 asking my ID when I turn it on and enter Apps

How come I get fast wifi speeds but videos can never load iPhone 5

Is there something wrong with my phone? I get fast wifi speeds like 50Mbps down and 7Mbps up. But whenever I try to load a video off youtube every second it downloads two seconds of video. On LTE it's insanely quick. I'm about to take this this phone back.

iPhone 4 skips new songs after new iOS 6 update

I have no idea if the new update (I updated my iPhone 4 today) has anything to do with my problem, but I downloaded Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles on iTunes and when I try to play it, my iPhone skips the song completely and goes to the next. And the other day, I was watching a YouTube video on my iPhone, and the video would randomly stop throughout. I don't know what I should do about this and I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject. Thanks!

iphone 4S audio issues

Hi i have an iPhone 4S with an itermittant ongoing audio issue. The output sound from anything, ringtones, text tones, games/apps, and youtube etc (you get the gist) goes on and off on a daily basis, making the phone useless. The weird thing is, it does the same with the headphones plugged in, if i have them plugged and listen to youtube, the song/video will play for a few seconds and then audio will cut out. Once its done this, sometimes the video keeps playing in silent or will stop, the volume buttons on the side of the phone just make the speaker appear on the screen but theres no volume bar underneath, the weirdest thing of all is if i unpleg the headphones slightly then plug them back in the sound comes back on for a few seconds (or possibly a minute) before it does it again. What can this be? is it software, hardware or is there some crud touching something, ive cleaned out/blew into the holes etc to try and clear any dust. thanks ive also rebooted the phone several times.

iPhone battery drain iPhone 4S

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s when it was running iOS 5.1.1. I eagerly updated to iOS 6 as soon as it was available. I had been seeing slightly less-than-optimal battery life of 5.1.1, but iOS 6 delivered simply terrible battery life. I have scoured through many forums and found nothing that worked. I have even tried restoring as a new phone, but with no results. Before I go ahead and make a Genius Bar appointment, is there anything I can do to fix this? I have reset all settings, turned off bluetooth, turned off push mail and notifications and location for unnecessary things, including system services, disabled Siri, turned down brighness, gone through charge cycles, done hard reboots, and removed unnecessary syncing services. Yet my battery still fails to deliver. Can anyone recommend anything else to try?  As a reference, I get about 5-6 hours of light usage (checking email, checking news briefly, maybe watching a few YouTube videos) with 10-12 hours of standby on a good day. There have been days where I got up to 8 hours on very restricted usage. On bad days, when I throw in 15-20 minutes of games and more heavy video, I get 4 hours of usage maximum. I got far more than this on my iPod Touch 4G running iOS 5.1.1, so I was rather startled by this performance. If this is normal, and the iPhone battery in general isn't too good, please let me know. However, I have a strong feeling that this is unusual. If no solution presents itself, I will be going to see the Genius Bar.

Had my Iphone 5 for 3 months and it's already malfunctioning

Okay so I'm having problems with my Iphone 5 (suprise, suprise). It does things on its own without me doing anything. e.g if I start playing a song of my music or watch a video on youtube, it will suddenly pause on its own then start playing again then pause again or it will rewind or fast forward what ever i'm watching/listening to on its own. it will randomly activate siri on its own without my even touching it. And this doesnt happen every now and then, it happens consistantly while it is on! in fact just now, I set my iphone down on my desk and it just started playing a song on my playlist! this is really frustatrating!!! whatt can I do to solve this? has anyone had any similar problems??

I have a problem with my iPhone. The problem only happens at my house, the iPhone says it is connected ton my wifi, with the small wifi symbol on top left of the screen, but if I go on Safari, Facebook or Youtube, or on anything requiring internet, it doesn't load and it acts likes there is no internet connection.

Greetings, Cyber friends! (lol K. That intro did not work >.< )Anywhoo, I'll be getting a new iPhone 5 this week or next week, and I'm torn between the 32 GB and the 64 GB. I signed up a 3 years contract with my local phone carrier, so I need a GB that will sustain my needs for three long years.... -.-I owned a 16GB iPhone 4s for about a month, and quickly filled that up, but I CAN make more space by deleting apps/photos, if I wanted to. But this time is different since I'll be using this phone for a while, and I really don't want to regret the decision of choosing the wrong size.I'll probably have all my favorite songs stored in there because I don't own an iPod and my iPhone will practically serve as one. My iPhone will also serve as my camera since I do not currently own one, and I like to take pictures and videos & just keep them there on my phone. I won't be downloading any movies or music videos (that's for sure) coz I would rather watch videos on my Macbook. Plus, there is also YouTube. ^^ As for games I will probably download a bunch, just the games that I really enjoy and play most of the time, but there are new games every year, and some with bigger sizes than others. Most of my apps will probably just be photo editing apps/video editing apps since I am really into that.Well, that's pretty much it. Money is kinda tight. I can afford a 32 GB, but another extra 100 for the 64 GB, i'll have to work extra hard for that, and I really wouldn't want to waste money if I pick the wrong size. If I end up taking the 32 GB, what happens if I fill that space up quickly and will start hating my phone (lol)?If I end up taking the 64 GB, what happens if I don't fill the space up, and end up regretting paying an extra hundred bucks for spaces I won't even use?Thanks in advance!!

Why does youtube block me from videos for mature audiences? It says not available to underage users when i try to click on it, and its just a music video but its done it to me on orher videos too. Im over 18 and it shows in my info.

iPhone 5 Poor Headphone Audio Quality

I got my iPhone 5 a few days ago and I must say the sound I'm getting from my iPhone 5 to my headphones is pure garbage.I use Beats By Dre heaphones and when I listen to music on my Mac and other devices the audio quality is great, but when I listen to music from my iPhone 5 to my headphones, I hear excessive rattling over the vocals of the music I listen to. I'm assuming it might be the Music app's fault, since I listen to songs from the YouTube App as crystal clear as I do from my Mac from iTunes. I have the same problem with my EarPods: They sound great on anything but my iPhone 5 Music app. Is there any fix possible? Is there any Music app alternative I can try? I'm tired of searching for the songs I want to hear on YouTube everytime to get good sound quality...In short:Sound quality from the Music app: Really poor quality, I can't stand it.Sound quality from anywhere else on my iPhone: Crystal ClearDoes anyone get the same problem/complaint from their iPhone 5's? Side Note: I do purchase my music from iTunes, so I should get good sound quality.

Apple have plans to restore Maps andor YouTube apps from iOS 5.x iPhone 3G

Sorry if this has been answered before, etc.  But I haven't upgraded from iOS 5.x to 6 because it takes away Maps and YouTube.  I can live with Google's YT replacement but like the integration the orig. native app has.  But the deal-breaker for me is Maps.  The new Google Maps is good, but the native Maps in 5.x is IMO better in several ways.  I don't need the GPS of the Google Maps so that's not really a selling point. Any ideas or any news/updates?  Thanks in advance!

iPhone 5 acting weird

i just got my new iPhone 5 16gb last week. updated to new 6.0.2 updates   i do not have installl any heavy application, only Facebook, yahoo and flickrs  i notice my phone is always lag, not responding to touch, and the most annoying part is it always ****** me up when i use the OSK (on screen keyboard). when i try to use the OSK, for example when i want to click BACKSPACE, it will randomly push  A, Q, T for many times. i cannot get my msg done.   i try to do the soft reboot, restart but it only good for half day before it start doing the problem again.   the most annoying part is when it did not respond to my touch.   what is the problem with this?  this explain my problem    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgnkWjGvkYo
