my iphone not recognised in itunes and recognised as camera in pc

hi all, I have some truble with my itunes not recognising my iphone as a mobile device. In the pc the iphone is recognised as a camera and when pluged in it still charges etc... can anyone please help. I tried updating the software but to no avail. Because when I choose the driver the below error appears and cannot update the driver either...the specified location does not contain any information about your hardware Thanks
