Mainly my problem is that most of the time now i have to switch toEDGE and then back to 4G to get faster internet. I have an iphone 4S Unlocked, I am using t-mobile and i have made sure that it is not the service nor the SIM.Ive reset the setting, ive had a restore again to a new iphone, and ive tried to downgrade my carrier version back to carrier 14.0 from t-mobile 14.1.It worked before i restored to IOS 6.1.3 because of memory issuess. I have made my way arround how IOS works and most of the technical stuff to do with it. Overall, How can i fix this or what can i do essentaily to bring back my faster and more reliable internet? p.s DIdnt know where this would go so i posted it here. p.s+ Yes i was jailbroken before i restored. The subject is that I want to change my broken iphone 5 with a new one paying $220 and giving back to you mine. And my question is what am I required to do that in any apple store in US. Could you give me the details about like do I need to give back my iphone as the way I bought it I mean with all iphone stuff like charger and headphone.. etc. And the additional and important question is here, I need an official paper written by Apple, which says that the old iphone is changed with the new one (indicating the IMEI numbers of both) to use it in my country legally, because I have already payed tax amount for the old one and I registered with the old one so to make the new one active.In my country,then legislations say that each person has a right to register only one mobile phone in 2 years; so I need to prove that the old one is given to back to your side. Having Paid about £20 for an official unlocking, I am being told to insert a Non-Orange 3G Sim card into the phone that is to be unlocked (Orange is the network the iPhone iscurrently locked to). I found an app that provides a call confirmation without jailbreaking the phone called "Group Contact." in settings, if you turn 'return to the app after phone call" on, you get the message "you will be alerted before making the call, and the app will be re-opened after the call." Before every call, a call confirmation is delivered, which solves my problem perfectly!
Iphone 4 on t-mobile full signal but wont makereceive calls
Please help - My iphone 4 intermittently stops making and receiving calls/texts without warning, the phone will have a full signal and could be anywhere in the country but when you try to make a call it won't do it. If you then ring the phone it is as if it is turned off, if you then turn the phone off then on again it works perfectly well until the next time which might be in days or hours. T -mobile talked me through a reset but this has not worked and Apple want a fee to help further as the phone is 22 months old, it is however little used and still looks new. Any help appreciated

Iphone 5 / factory unlocked / USA purchase.. Whenever i compose a new message (SMS), i already have a text (one of the previous sms that i hv sent.to someone) there in the message box. I have tried resending the same to myself and other numbers and it gets delivered aswell. But what is annoying is everytime i have to compose a new message and click on icon on top right corner in message app to create a new sms// i have the text alrdy in my typing box and have to select all and delete it. And when i click on any previous conversations with my contacts and reply them this problem does not exist. This is only when i click new message compose icon or have to start a new conversation with someone. To me it seems as if some kinda signature is added in SMS but i couldnt find any option for the same. Please advice !!
My built in apps have disappeared how can person reinstall Safari Siri or App Store on an iphone 4S
I have lost my built in apps and do not know how to reinstall them on my phone. The Safari and App Store icons are gone. I can no longer surf the net on my phone and the little "microphone" key has also disappeared when I send text messages etc. I now have to actually type the message instead of speaking into my phone. Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? My phone won't send picture messages to any phone other than an iPhone and when I googled it, the solution was to restore it.So I did. Downloading the software itself took nearly 3 hours, but whatever. My phone restarted, but now the bar is stuck at ~3/4 done and it's on "restoring firmware". It's been this way for over 20min. I use iTunes 11.0 and windows 7.Can anyone help me out? Would it be bad to reboot my computer at this stage?

Has anyone noticed that since the last couple of updates (6.1.3 and 6.1.4) the search feature on the iPhone doesn't work. You can search ok but when you press what you're looking for is puts you at the end of the message without going to the area you need. Apple please fix it. Sooo annoying.

I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run windows 7. Thanks so much!

Why it it that when I query a word or two in spotlight, I can see the text message that I am looking for but when I tap it, I am not taken to that message. This renders the search useless.

This is my issue. I have been using the messages app and spotlight to search keywords and/or phrases in old text messages. Scenario: Using the search bar in the messages app, I lookup Mac. It returns 2 results. I click the message I want to view and it opens the most recent message in thread. So I tried using Spotlight. Granted, it returns more results (about 6,7), but when I click the message to finish reading it, again, it opens the most recent message in the thread. Is there an app that actually searches messages and lets you view the message?

I bought the iPhone 5 from Star One mobile in Sim Lim Square Singpore recently. After reaching my place , just found that the serial number and IMEI number in my iPhone 5 product and the packaging box are different. When I check on the website the packaging number shows the product is replaced but the number in product shows valid. Can some one explain the difference?I did not anticipate an Apple product having a difference in serial and IMEI number from the packaging --- probable that the Star one mobile could have changed the package?

hey! i upgraded to an iphone 5 in october 2012. ive always had the iphones and never had a problem with them before. however, this phone has decided it no longer wants to charge, at first i thought it was the usb so i brought a new one for it. but it didnt charge it either. i have tried using different sockets ive even used my dockinstation but nothing works. the phone is all up to date and shows a message stating 'this accessory is not meant for charging' , anyone else having the same problem?

i have just had my iphone 4s lcd repaired and black spots are on screeen
i recently dropped my iphone4s,screen didnt smash or marked but wouldn't light up,made all the right sounds.took it to be repaired at local mobile shop and they sent.it away to have new lcd and digitizer replaced. I got it marked and noticed home button had dropped then 5/6 days later 3 black marks/spots appeared on the bottom right hand side of screen??? returned to shop and engineer is refusing to repair as saying i damaged phone......I havent done anything apart from use it as it should be.can anyone shed some light as to why this is happening? many thanks
My IPhone wont turn on after updating
My Iphone 4G was updating to the latest i.OS software on itunes (on my windows computer). As usual, my phone had to restart. It turned off, but as it was turning on (when the screen just shows that silver apple logo) an error message came up on itunes saying that it couldnt update the software (I forgot to get the error number). But my phone is stuck with that silver apple logo on it. My computer tells me to restore my phone, which I tried, but everytime I do that, itunes says "extracting software" and then it says "preparing to restore" then it comes up with an error message (number 2009). I have tried restarting my computer. My phone is stuck like this. What should I do? Please help!
iPhone 5 audio fail
Does anyone have audio fail problem on their iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4)? This happeded twice on my iPhone. First time was when I was using my phone as usual and it just suddently truned into mute by itself. The other one was when the alarm was ringing but no sound just vibration. I'm sure that I did not turn into silent mode. Except the sound, it still functions well. System just poped up a message asking me to reboot my device. It recovered after restart, but I still want to know how to deal with this problem.

Fixed my phone but display still doesn't work iPhone 4S
4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay). Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again. What could be broken?

Lost Mode Alarm continues-I found my iPhone 5
Hi. Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into Lost Mode, sent.the message and Played Sound. Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking. Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!! What a relief!! Cancelled Lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc. HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!! I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting Lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off. All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem. It should be cancelled! Why does the alarm still go off? Two reasons why I would not by an iPhone again
Hi all, yesterday I had two requirements from my iPhone 4 and none of them was fulfilled, so I decided that this is my last Apple device. If any of you can change my mind, go ahead a try. 1st, I wanted to copy a file (pdf) from my local drive at home and then open it in ezPDF Reader. So I used NetPortalLite to access my drive and downloaded the file inside the NetPortalLite. But when I wanted to move the file to ezPDF app it didn't let. Why it is so complicated to move files between apps? I have tried to copy in NetPortalLite, then paste in ezPDF Reader... it didn't work! 2nd, I wanted to access my local drive at home to run a video file. This function is available only in paid apps, although other mobile OS have this ability. Why it is not possible to browse local drives directly from the iOS or Safari? Is it so hard to implement this function to the iOS and make it available by SMB://IP_ADDRESS or \IP_ADDRESS? Thanks

I have been trying to update my iPhone's software for the past few weeks due to my current provider not being found. (A bar that says "Searching" is always at the top where my 3G should be.) Yet whenever I try directly from my iPhone, it always end with an error message. So, yesterday I tried updating directly from itunes and I let it download the new update and all that. However, after it finished trying to update my iPhone, it put my iPhone in a recovery mode and I've been trying to fix it eversince. I can not access my iPhone, all it has is an icon saying to connect to itunes. I've tried troubleshooting, checking my software, updating my computer etc. yet it still leaves me with this message: "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)." I've looked on the apple site and I've made sure my security is up to date, my computer is up to date, my itunes is up to date and that I have restarted my computer. I am very irritated and I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do because my warranty is over with apple and I still have a few years on my contract. I have tried resetting and erased all data but still no luck detecting network. 3G is found briefly when powering back up. I have tried two different sims from two different providers 3 an Vodafone but whilst carrier is found neither connect. Wifi if working fine as are all other phone functions. Any ideas?

my iphone 3gs had lower version of iOS and i wasnt able to download watsapp. during downloading its says update iOS 4.3 and i did connect my phone with iTunes. and i did fully update with 6.1.3 version.now I not able to activate my iPhone3GS after updated to ios6.1.3. The message said the activation server is unavailable but it has been unavailable for more than 24hours. It's abnormal, please help. Thank you!i need the permanent solution because i saw a lot of cideos to jailbreak but i really wont do that.

There was a wrong buy , an app called mobile selling platform. For travel agents to do their flight booking thro ipad . . This happened by mistake , as normally when u download any app it would ask for the password , but some how this time it did not and the down loaded happened . I tried stopping the down load by putting off the power button , but still did not work . Hence this situation. I tried reporting a problem thro the link in the invoice , but to no success .error is reported . I need a refund and reversal . As I have of no use of the apps . I am no travel agent and tried calling the India office but was told that they had closed for the day . So then I posted this query on the communities to seek help in sorting this issue .....need help .
