HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iphone 5 and it says 'iphone disabled please connect to iTunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have iTunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded iTunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.Is there any way I can get my photos back?Can Apple get them back for me?Please help

Makingreceiving call mic problems iphone

Hi, I understand there are two mics on the iphone 4, which would explain my problem. I need a DIY fix if possible please. When I'm making a call, the person im speaking to can only hear a extremely faint voice from me, so faint they would need to be in a sound proof room to hear me. If I switch to speaker phone they can hear me fine, as im guessing this uses the other mic located on the top of the iphone. I've seen a youtube fix for a mic which isn't working. Would this be the fix involving opening iphone and inserting a piece of card or plastic to create pressure on the chip?  Any comments or advice would be most grateful.

I have an iphone 4S and my voulme just randomly stopped working. I checked my settings again and it only makes sounds when someone calls my cell. When I try to see what level the ringer is on it shows no bars or anything. Any ideas, I tried restarting it. Nothing works just happened randomly today. Any advise?

Hello, this is my first time on a forum like this so I don't really know what to expect but basically the reason why I am here today is because of the fact that my iphone's battery is excuse my french, dog s***. I'm 16 years old almost 17 and I haven't had any problems with my other iphone's before (iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S) I charge it at 100% in the morning, so I leave it all night from 1% the previous night and then I get up and without even using it, it's at 95% already. Now the thing you're going to say is have you tried:  Turning off 3G/LTE - YESTurning off Wi-Fi - YESBluetooth - YESLocation Service's - YESPush Email - YESMessing with the brightness - YESRe-setting the phone several times (LOL) - YES  I honestly don't see why it is draining this much, I have like 10 apps and all of them are ones that don't send much data, nor recieve much. You know the usual Facebook, Twitter, youtube etc etc.  If someone could possibly help me I will be the happiest man alive!!! Thanks-Ed

iphone 5 wifi drops every time I stream BT Home Hub router

Ok this is the second iphone 5  I've had and I'm having the same issue as the one I've just replaced, the phone is dropping the wifi connection whenever anything is streaming, i.e. youtube, NetFllix, Podcsts etc... Apple support said it may be my router but every other device in the house is fine, iPad 2, iPod Touch my wifes iphone 4 and my Macbook. My question is could it be an incopatability issue with my BT Home  Hub 2 router and iphone 5? I've tried all of the troubleshooting suggested by apple support but the issue continues. I've also tried other possibilities from this and other forums and nothing seems to fix the issue. I'm opening a new thread because of the significance of the router which I think my be the problem but have no idea to be honest. I wished I'd kept my old iphone 4 it was solid and the battery life on this new phone is just shocking! Any help or ideas would be appreciated cheers

My iphone 4 doesn't record any audio when I record videos, nor does it record any audio when using video apps like vine and snapchat. I am still able to record voice memos, which seems strange. I have no problems making phone calls.   **Just to get the obvious out of the way**  - no the phone is not under warranty. - please do not suggest that I take it to a mac store, I am aware of this option, I am looking for alternative solutions. - It's definately a 4, it's not a 4S

youtube videos load slower on WiFi than LTE iphone 3G

I have noticed that youtube videos (using the Google app) have difficulty loading on my iphone 5 when connected to WiFi.  They will load, but every 10-15 seconds it will stop and try to buffer more video, making the viewing experience entirely undesirable.  I've tried switching WiFi off and the videos load without issue.  I understand that having a WiFi connection enabled makes the video stream at a higher quality vs. LTE which may explain the difference in speed. My question is - does this happen for everyone or just me?  I've run a few speed tests on my WiFi and I am getting the speeds I would expect given the internet plan I have.  Web pages load fine, apps download quickly, etc.  The only issue is with youtube.  Is this a limitation of youtube bandwidth or an issue with the app or an issue with the phone?  I heard today that around 1.3 million youtube videos are played every minute... so if it is just a limitation of youtube then I guess there is nothing I can do about it... Any help/feedback is appreciated.  Thanks you reading.

Using OSX 10.8.4 on a Mac mini late 2012 model, trying to sync Calender on mac to calender on my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4 No matter how many youtube videos I watch or how many threads I read, my iphone calender will not sync with the calender on my mac. Any ideas?I have both my mac and iphone setup in icloud settings just as described in every video. I recently purchased a macbook air and synced the iphone 5 to it. It synced and all the music that was on my phone is now on my mac. However, when i download new music, it won't let me drag and drop or right click to press "add to". That option also doesn't appear, whether i purchased a song or not. The songs im trying to add aren't purchased from itunes and i downloaded them from a youtube converter. Everything is synced between the phone and mac but i can't figure out any other way to change it. I also have the newest version of itunes.

So, my lovely GF brought me back an iphone 4 from China. Yes, it's a real iphone, not hacked, however, the standard apps are slightly different and I'd like to bring back the option to share videos to youtube and get rid of the Sina Weibo, Youku and Todou integration since I have no intentions of using these apps. I was able to restore my data from my iphone 3Gs without an issue and it's been updated to iOS 6.1.3. I've read in other posts that these applications could be removed by removing the Chinese keyboard from the settings, however, this does not work for the Chinese iphone and English is the only option selected.

Battery Drain issue while recording video iphone 5

iphone 5 that I've had for less than a year seems to have horrible battery life. I'm mainly on wifi all day long with very strong signal. Most of my 8-10 hr day is occassionally checking my hotmail or exchange email.  My Time since last charge currently at 43%: usage is 3hrs and 34 minutes, and standby time of 9 hours and 35 minutes.  The strangest issue I'm having is when I record video. I'll usually record 2-3GB worth of video (over 8-10 videos) in a day depending on what I'm uploading to youtube. I'll record a bunch of video, and look at the battery life. It will drop down to 2-3% after recording, and sometimes even shut the phone all the way off. Press the power button and it blinks at you to plug it in. I'll go plug it in, and when it powers back on, it will be anywhere from 20-50% power (1 minute after plugging it in).  Yesterday it was down to 3%, so I powered it off, then back on again, and it jumped back up to 54% I've done a wipe and reset to factory and restore from iCloud and that doesn't seem to have done much.  I've drained the battery all the way dead, and let it recharge fully mulitple times, no help their either. I'm using the factory iphone charging cable and wall charger.  Has anyone seen this before? Do I have a faulty battery? I've recorded hundreds of videos with my iphone 4 and never had issues with excessive drain while recording, and the same on my wife's 4S..Thanks

iphone 5 screen defects

Current defects with my iphone 5's screen: • Streaky screen - there is a white streak coming from the whole right and bottom sides of the screen.  After the white streak, the screen is duller. It almost looks like a burn in the screen. Noticeable all the time.  • Two dead pixels - there is a dead pixel on the far middle/upper right hand of the screen (within one of the white streaks) and the upper left side of the screen. Most noticeable when playing games and watching videos; however, they can be seen at any given time when the screen is on. • Red/Stuck pixel - On the far middle/upper right side of the screen (near the first dead pixel), a red pixel occurs when in apps with a black background or on large black text. I have already tried the stuck pixel fix but with no success. It is worth noting that the iphone is still in warrantee and I have already booked a Genius Bar appointment, I just wanted to know if Apple will deem this as a 'replacement situation' or not. It's a shame that I've only had the iphone since December and I'm already having so many issues with it. Do you think Apple will be hesitant to replace this iphone or not? Yours hopefully, Danny

i used to have an iphone 4 16GB with a large amount of "other", at least 6GB. i backed it up to my computer then upgraded to the iphone 5 and when i restored it i still have 6.6GB of other. i'm not sure what this is or how i can fix it and i've tried almost everything. i only have five apps, 400 songs, 150 contacts, and 100 pictures. no videos. i'm not sure what i can do to get rid of all of this other. i keep trying to restore it but it keeps coming back. what can i do to fix this?

Hello, I was updating my iphone 5 and iOS, when my iphone took off and went into "recovery mode" ... I've tried turning it off and put it on, but it is still in the state. Now it seems to be that I need to reset the mobile phone, which means that all of my pictures and videos and messages disappear? Which I absolutely do not want to be the hit ... how should I do? My data usage is unexpected very high for the past couple of months.  I increased my data plan from 200mb to 300mb because my data usage was unexpectedly increasing. I'm 5 days into my billing cycle and i'm already 20% into my data plan.  The only things I've done are read news articles online, pulled emails, and used iMessage.  No online music or videos.  I also made sure my background apps were closed out, and I even rebooted. Has anyone experienced the same issue?  How did you resolve this issue?

Audio IssueFeature in Video Playback iphone 5

I have just picked up on a 'thing' with the video playback on the iphone 5. It seems that dynamic range compression and/or EQ is applied to the soundtrack of videos. I first noticed it when I was trying to watch a few concert films and noticed that not only was the sound horrendous but during the high volume scenes, it was distorting. I have tested the same movies on an iphone 4, iphone 3GS and iPad which don't seem to have this problem/feature. Has anyone else noticed it? And even better yet, figured out a way to get rid of it?   Additional thoughts: I have also noticed that when you play music through the loudspeaker, some form of dynamic range compression is also applied to the sound. Personally I think it sounds terrible but I can understand why Apple would have done this. However, it doesn't affect the headphone output signal, thank goodness, SO, I speculate that it could be a bug that when a video is played, the OS isn't recognising that the headphones are no longer a loudspeaker and not bypassing the audio signal, therefore applying the compression to the sound.  Playing the video audio through Bluetooth headphones removes the compression and distortion of the sound track in videos, and that would have been the solution, but now videos no longer play in sync with audio through Bluetooth on the iphone 5. (Grr.) Last thing, the new EQ 'Late Night' that adds compression and EQs the sound in the Music app and sounds possibly like the effect that is being applied to video audio output.

iphone 4S keeps disconnecting WIFI frequently when in use

    My iphone suddenly began disconnecting frequently from my Access point like every 4 seconds, maybe every minute. it just disconnects randamly,i have had this issue for two days now . I restored my iphone to IOS 6.1.3 and yet the issue is still preserved , so i reset my router and my access point to their default setting and still the WIFI keeps on disconnecting. I even tested my iphone to connect to my Uncle's wifi access point and still it disconnects from it frequently.My iphone has never suffered any damage. it has never fallen on the ground and not even scratched.The disconnection here is not that the iphone disconnects from the wifi when i lock the phone but it's worse it disconnects when the phone is in use even if I am downloading something from the app store or streaming a video on youtube and then it will automatically reconnect again which is pretty annoying especially if i am using a VOIP service .i tried everything now and seems nothing helps. Is this a Hardware or a software problem ?, i would be glad to hear from other users that i am not the only one affected by it. I live in Egypt, is there Apple Support in here ?, Any suggestions will Greatly help me .

Remote viewing andor controlling an iDevice screen iphone 3G

Hello folks,  I am in a bit of a pickle! Short of you know what (have to keep the censors off me), is there any possibly way to remote view an iDevice screen on a Windows based computer? I am a eLearning/instructional designer and I have been tasked with creating eLearning courses on how to use our iDevice apps. But my dilemma is, how the heck do I capture the screens? Yes, I know about power/home but that isn't nearly practical, especially for capturing motion. I thought I could do it with the remarkable Teamviewer app but after speaking with their development team, it turns out that this has been an outstanding request to Apple. For quite some time, they have been requesting their customers ask Apple via feature request. It seems obvious that their must be a way because I have seen Apple iphone instructional videos in the past. No sound on appfunction iphone 5

Hi guys i got my iphone 5 about 2 week after launch and about 3 weeks later i lost all sound clicks from text's, game apps, youtube wouldn't play any videos and it worked perfectly fine when i went to bed wake up in the morning to this.  I rebooted the phone and this resolved the issue, the phone was not in silent mode via settings or via the slider at the top of the phone.  the phone would be working fine for about 3 weeks then this would happen again same issues as above this went on till about the 14th December and Apple decided to change my phone now its happening again.  I am at a lose end does anybody know a fix or heard of this before as i am sure this problem could not happen too 2 different phones ?  Thanks

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iphone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

way to recover data was not backed up from my iphone 5

Today I completed a software update for my iphone 5 without backing it up because I did not receive a warning that all my data would be erased and so, did not realize it would be an issue. Upon completing the update, I realized my mistake but figured it was too late to revert the damage and continued with the restoration of my phone to its factory settings. After completing the update, I realized just how much data was lost (including important notes with financial information and images and videos of recent trips around Europe). Now I am desperate to try to recover the data deleted in the update. Is there any chance at all that I can recover something? The notes and videos are most important to me. I am also missing many Messages but that is less important to me. Can anyone please help? Any response is greatly appreciated!

Take your time to write a thoughtful comment on a video, hit send, and it's gone, "youtube is not available". It happens frequently on the iphone app yet never happens on the desktop site. This bug has followed the youtube app across multiple phones (OG & 3G), multiple OS updates, and still happens randomly. Not having a feature is better than one that frequently doesn't work, and frustrates, as well as wastes your time...I'm so ready to checkout the latest from HTC  I copied this question from an archived thread from 2009. I'm having the same issue. I comment on youtube a couple of times and it's fine, the third time it completely blocks me. It's very frustrating. Looking at the replies from 4 years ago it seems that its definitely the app that has the issue, not the main website. Crashing and screen flickering problems. iphone 4

I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

iphone 5 Rear Microphone

Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iphone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross

I was downloading songs from iTunes with my wifi and noticed that it would take up to 16 minutes to download ONE song. As with 3G, it downloads more than one song 5x faster. But uses up my data. Can you tell me what I can do to change this...

How can I eliminate others in capacity iphone 5

Hello, Can someone help in giving the proper steps to erase "others" in capacity for my iphone 5? I have tried everything, from erasing text message, photos, music, videos, among other, but "others" remains. Certainly need help!

Sound issue in iphone 4s

I've issue with the sound of iphone 4s, last 2 days, suddenly no sound coming out of the speaker but it is ringing and speaker during calls working well But no sound for example: for the video clips, youtube, games apps, etc. I've restored the iphone but the issue not yet resolved. I hope I'll have an answer for my doubt. Thank you
