Call Forwarding doesnt save prior numbers or allow selection from Contacts iphone

Hello All,my first post on this forum ...Ive searched but havent found anything prior on this topic.I can forward calls from my iphone, but I have to type in the whole number unless its the one I last used. This is primitive usability. It should have an option to search contacts to choose a number from there, or at least remember the last several numbers entered. I work in a building with poor cellphone reception and Im not always in the same room so I want to have a selection of numbers to forward to.How can I prompt Apple to consider this in a future software update?Regards,Peter Macbook Air, Mac Mini Also three Windows PCs

So yesterday it start with my iphone telling me that I needed to connect to iTunes and restore because I couldnt make or receive calls. I reset it, and seemed OK. I later tried to play doodle jump, which crashed upon opening, so I reinstalled it to no avail. I discovered this morning that wasnt just doodle jump, but all 3rd party apps. It also went through stages of not turning on, telling me to restore it, and still having an image on the screen but there was absolutely no brightness to it, and instead of the screen going black when I press the sleep button on top, I would get a bright white screen. Giving up on resets, I came home from school and restored it, and it worked perfectly. Now its 5.5 hours later and it just froze, unfroze, and had no brightness. my phone wasnt answering calls or dialing them, so I tried to turn my phone off and back on again. It turned off just fine, but I tried to turn it back on, and now it is stuck on the black screen with the white apple. I really only have one complaint about my iphone 3G, and that is the fact that the mute switch on the top left of the phone just bumps itself on and off while in my pocket. I am missing calls, and am wondering if the 3Gs has the same setup? I'd upgrade if that button was recessed or something so it didn't bump off on me.

Certain part of screen stopped working iphone 3G

So one night I was texting and a certain part of the screen stopped working. The only way I can describe the part of the screen is by saying it is if you look at the regular texting screen, from the top of the spacebar and up to the top of the texting letters does not work on the ENTIRE iphone. So I really need help to figure this one out. Suddenly when I get a message it only vibrates even though all sounds are on and when someone calls the sound works perfectly normal. Cant Send or Receive calls and Text Messages in my Local Area iphone 3G

This morning, 6 miles away from home my iphone worked well. When I arrived home and tried the same, calls and texts failed. There is a cell tower less than one mile from my home and the same thing happened last summer and several weeks ago. AT&T is telling me that I need to replace my phone because when I took the SIM card out and put in into my old RAZR phone it worked. I just put the SIM card back into my iphone and all is well. AT&T claims to have a problem with the local cell tower, but because my RAZR worked, they are blaming the iphone. I dont think they are correct. I have restored the iphone, updated my OS, turned it on and off several times in the process.my iphone is out of warranty and I cant get an answer from Apple for free. Has anyone had this problem? Hi,I have spent hours searching the App store for an App that can record my telephone conversations. I found 2. Recorder only works in US and CallRec.me works in most countries but in a most peculiar way; At the same time you make a call you also make a second parallel call to a server center and then you merge the two calls, via your phone. The server center apparently records the message and saves it. Any solution the means having to pay for two calls internationally or anywhere (I travel a lot) must be wrong. You cant start recording in the middle of a conversation without a pause while merging the call to the server center in. !#€/€()/€%#!#Please advice me in what to do. Isnt there any good recorder out there?I need the following (it exists for Nokia):1 - Be able to configure what calls to record (i.e black list/white list, incoming or outgoing or both).2 - Be able to record incoming or outgoing calls on the fly without have to start yet another App and take time to fiddle around. I mean it should all work in the background automatically.3 - A simple configuration; Record all calls I would like.Since I dont know in beforehand if a call I receive or make will be threatening or for any other reason worth recording the App most be simple to use, automatic and preferably incorporated into the standard dialing App. Of course you could make a new App for dialing your calls facilitating the recording of the call. Hello. my iphone keeps locking up when a contact on my phone calls me. This only happens when either a contact calls who has a picture assigned to them or has multiple numbers under a single name. I did not try applying pictures to my contacts or applying multiple numbers to a single contact since the 3.1.3 update. Im not sure if that update fixed that bug but I dont want to risk it since I always miss the call when those types of contacts call since the phone locks up. Reluctant Dialling UK-O2 iphone

Forgive me if this has been covered, I have done several searches to no avail.Dialling a number from my iphone contacts doesnt usually work at the first attempt, and sometimes not the second. With perseverance it will eventually call.I have restored the iphone, removed and replaced the SIM and most recently changed the phone itself from a 3G to a new 3GS (which is lovely). Initially I thought it was not pressing send for long enough, though in all cases the calling screen is presented, and the call history shows three or however many attempted calls I have tried.I suspect this is a phone issue, and not a carrier issue as different phones on the same network are fine.Might it be the international prefix? When someone calls me, my iphone automatically recognizes who it is if I have the person as a contact. But when I receive a text message, the persons phone number plus country code shows up, and not the contact name. Just recently my phone no longer plays ringtones or alarms, and makes no sound when a call is put on speaker phone. I can hear calls fine with just a little buzz that goes away if I put pressure on the bottom back of the phone.I realize that something is broken. 3rd iphone and counting 3G

Hi all, very new to this forum so go gently on me! Im now on my 3rd 3G iphone and this one is showing signs of being troubled, too. Some people Ive spoken to who use this phone have not had one single problem. I, however, seem to be cursed. The first phone was rejected within a couple of days because it wouldnt send emails and I was told it was a software issue and I was entitled to a brand new one. Fine. The second one seemed to work okay for about 4-5 weeks (taking me over my 28 day initial returns/replacement period) but then decided it didnt want to send emails. After a lot of calls to the technical team (and eventually the second stage technical team) it suddenely started working. However, one afternoon at work, I realised all 300+ contacts had gone. After restoring a previous backup, they reappeared only to disappear again randomly after 2hrs. I rejected the phone but of course then had big issues getting a replacement. It was eventually sent to Apple for repair. I believe - there was no paperwork with the phone when returned - that I received a new phone back.That was roughly a month ago. I am now having trouble sending emails and as of the last week, I have had intermittent trouble with voicemail being unavailable and unable to initiate connection. Am I alone with these issues? Surely not. But I really dont know what to do. When it works, its a beautiful piece of kit but Im getting really bored of it failing to do things when Im sure that its been set up correctly. Full service but not receiving messages iphone 3G

I live in an area where it depends on where I am in my house if I will or will not have service. In my bedroom, I would have no problem having full service. Pretty much the entire second floor of my house I have all bars of service. For a two months now, I will have full service and not receive text messages and calls will not go through. I thought that maybe it was a AT&T problem but the other 4 people that live with me who all have iPhones do not have the same problems as I do. They have no problem getting their messages. my iphone will be next to theirs and I will not receive messages until hours later. I went to the Apple store and they said they couldnt help my because my Apple Care was up and then they wouldnt even bother with me another second. Also I went to the AT&T store and got a new SIMS card and that did not solve the problem. I have restored my phone NUMEROUS times thinking it would help but its not! Is this my phones problem? Ringtone for individual contacts not working help iphone

I have had my iphone for a week or so and I can not get individual ringtones for each contact to work. The guy at the ATT store was kind enough to transfer my contacts from my old Razr. ALL my calls are reverting to the default tone. This is very irritating. I can not find any duplicate entries in my contact list. I am on the verge of wiping all my contacts and starting over. Every time my phone locks up and the screen goes black and I go to unlock it, I notice that I no longer have reception (only in my house). When this happens, I miss calls and text messages show up hours later. Dropped calls can not find server wont connect to email iphone 3G

This is my 3rd iphone, and honestly i swore by it when i first got it. Now after all the trouble i dont even know if it worth the trouble anymore. I have spent hours on the phone with At&T and they can not fix it. I have spent hours on the phone with apple and they cant fix it. my iphone 3G has been turning itself off/failing to wake up for a couple of months now. Ive tried restoring it and deleting iTunes and then reinstalling. Apple support tried and couldnt fix and said it was an iTunes issue. Their suggestions didnt fix anything and Im getting really frustrated. 3G wont wake up randomly since 3.1.3 iphone

Ever since I upgraded the firmware to 3.1.3 my 3G iphone will randomly decide not to come out of sleep mode and cant be turned back on. No phone calls, SMS or emails come through when this happens. This happens at least once a day. Pressing either of the buttons or both for any length of time does nothing. Pluging it into a USB or direct power source wakes it up and it then seems to opperate normally until the next time it decides to go into coma again. The battery indicator says there is plenty of power before this happens and when I plug it back in. I have restored the phone but the problem persists.Ive had the phone for 18 months and have never had an issue like this. The upgrade to 3.1.3 coincides with the problem starting so the firware must have some issue.I have removed many apps and much of my music to free some space up. I dont see how that would make any difference but you never know! 3G 16GB iphone OS 3.1.3

Cannot make calls iphone

A strange icon appeared in the upper right hand corner of the screen by the battery icon on my iphone 3GS that kind of looks like a rune?? Although I have full bars, full battery and the "3G" icon, I get a "call failed" message after 100% of the calls I make, while standing in the same place I was able to make the calls previosly. Did I inadvertantly change a setting?

How to detect spy programs-please help iphone 3G

After mentioning some curiosities to someone about my phone, they started talking about how there are available spy programs that others can put on your iphone and see your text messages, phone calls, and internet activity. I’m leaning toward the theory that someone has put one of these programs on my phone, but since they are meant to be invisible to the phone owner I’m immensely curious to know if there are any ways that I can detect them? If not, I’m curious if anyone knows how to take just-in-case action to rid any possible spy programs, while also keeping hold of apps I’ve paid for, photos I’ve taken, and all my contacts?Thank you, thank you, thank you to anyone who can help!

why it iphone

...that an iphone-compatible car cannot use the dock connector jack for phone calls? This is clearly a choice on Apples part, as it would obviously be the simplest solution to use the connector for iPod, phone, and charging capability. Instead, you must pair to the car via Bluetooth for phone calls, every time you get in the car. Does anyone have any idea why this is?
