My IPhone shut off and will not turn back on

SO here's what happened,  I was texting a friend and listening to music on my iphone... Then all of a sudden I get this pop up notification that says "This adaptor is not supported" I didnt have my phone plugged in and then all of a sudden it turned off and will not start back up. I tried the following:Charge my phone for an hourPressed the sleep/power+home button for 20 secondsPressed the home button and plugged it in my computer while doing so Now with that said, I need to know the following:Is there hope for my Phone?And if I have to replace it, can I go to my cell phone provider-ATT and have them replace it ( I have insurance on it) because the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away.  All the advice the better!

Water Damage iPhone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iPhone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iPhone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iPhone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iPhone 4S when the next generation iPhone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Hi, I bought factory unlocked Iphone 5 from US in Dec 2012. I came back to India few days ago and accidently iphone's screen got damaged.The phone is under limited hardware warranty with no extra apple care plan. I talked to Apple care in India and they say they cannot replace my damaged phone even if I pay to them Can you please let me know the procedure as on how shall i get my damaged Iphone5 replaced , can i ship it to directly to Apple or do I need to ship it to some of my friend in US or do I have to follow some other procedure? Please suggest. Thanks,Rahul

iPhone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iPhone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iPhone. Recently my friend bought an iPhone too, when i compared our iPhones, i found out that his iPhone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iPhones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

iPhone 5 home button issue.

Back in November, I got my iPhone 5, and the day got it without even touching the home button, it was slightly pushed in, and by that I mean the home button slightly sinks in & It really bothers me. It was new brand out of the package, do you think if I will to the Apple store they would be able to help me? My friend also has an iPhone 5 and hers is perfectly inline with the rest of the ahardware on the bottom of the phone. Hopefully this makes sence. Help please me!

iPhone 5 camera problem

I just bought my iphone 5 one month ago then i realise my camera was not functioning, It always stuck in black screen when i try open the camera apps. I found out there are actually many people who bought iphone 5 suffered this problem when i try to look for resolution online. I want to go for warranty but my phone got dent on it's appearance. Therefore, apple told me that my phone was unable to warranty. However, my purpose to warranty is to fix the camera instead of the dent on my phone. Can apple fix my camera problem? I really feel sad and regret for purchase the phone now because of the problem i am facing now.  Hopefully apple can give me a satisfied answer. I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue?  I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. iphone 5 Broken screen

So here goes... I have broken the screen on my iphone 5, it is completly shot but  i can plug it in to itunes. The problem is that i have a passcode on the iphone so i am unable to bacup the phone in itunes as i can not enter the passcode.Is there any way i can remotley access the phone and enter the passcode. I have a new iphone 5 and want to sinc it with the data on my old phone, If anyone can suggest a way around this i would be forever in their debt. I have no old bacup or icloud or the like. Viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iPhone 3G

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! Thanks in advance &cu,-udo

Cracked Screen on iphone 4

I dropped a hard metal spoon while i was clearing up and it landed directly ontop of my iphone when it was the table and its cracked the screen.The phone still works as if no damage has happened, but its just a crack and im worried it will get worse.  I bought this phone definately less than a year ago, around christmas because i remember being served through the fast lanes, so its still under warranty. I just wanted to know how much it costs to fix it. My friend told me she took her phone back when she owned an iphone because she had cracked the screen too by dropping it. And they gave her one free, so i dont know how much it is, but when my brother went because of the speakers not working on his, they wanted him to pay £119, but that was two years ago. I doubt very much i will get a free one because it was damage caused by me, so i just want a rough idea how much it will cost to fix because im hearing two different things.  Thanks in advance

iPhone 5 seizing randomly-unable to be used

I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me.  About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped.  It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again.  It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back.  I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff.  SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty.  I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

iTunes won t download music to iPhone 4

When I buy a song on my iTunes throught my iPhone 4 it shows its downloading then goes to finish and says: unable to download this song, could not be downloaded at this time then let's me either select retry or done, I click retry and it comes up with the same message, and this is every single song I try to download not a few ALL of them... My iPhone 4S randomly turns itself off during a call on FaceTime. I have no idea why..?

Was able to get an HK iPhone 5 replacement in Canada

My iPhone, purchased in Hong Kong, suffered water damage in Canada and the personnel at the Apple store was unable to provide me with a replacement phone. Their reason is that HK model is different from the North American versions that they carry, hence replacement would need to take place in Hong Kong Apple stores.  I am wondering if it came across anyone's situation where they were able to get a replacement iPhone 5 in Canada, even though it is not the North American version. Alternative solutions are also welcomed. Thanks!

iOS 6.1.3 cant send texts to people in my contact list only iMessages iPhone 4

Ever since I updated my iphone 4 (GSM) to ios 6.1.3 i have been unable to 'text' people in my contact list. - I can only text new numbers that aren't in my contact list? (Even if i try and type my friends number, instead of selecting their name, i am still unable to text them - it comes up with ERROR) I can only send imessages, successfully, to people in my contacts list. Please HELP!  Thanks in advance.

Iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

Hi, i am trying to pair my 2 iphones both iphone 5 using bluetooth to enable file transfer between them.But when i turn on the bluetooth under Setting->Bluetooth. Both devices are unable to discover each other. Please help. Thanks
