My iphone 4s's screen has been busted.  The phone still works, but am unable to read messages.  I have backed everything up on itunes. When I get the new device will I get to read my messages/texts that have come thru prior to backing up?

HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iphone 5 and it says 'iphone disabled please connect to itunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have itunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded itunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.Is there any way I can get my photos back?Can Apple get them back for me?Please help

Really hot iphone iphone 5

I just bought an iphone 5 this past Friday for my first smartphone with Verizon, and I have been pretty happy with it so far, though I haven't been using it too heavily. Today, I had it with me all day long, and it seemed like the more I used it, it got pretty hot. Even hot to the point where I couldn't hold it in my hand in an air conditioned room. When this started to happen, I noticed a small spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen that turned yellow, almost like a sunspot. Seeing that, I turned it off for a bit, then turned it back on, and it was still there. I then didn't touch it for awhile, let it cool down, and when it did, the spot disappeared.  So I brought it back to vErizon where i brought it, and by that time it colled off and the spot gone, so they couldn't help me, but they did say to bring it to the Apple store and they can plug it in to see how hot it has been in the past. Is there any way that I can look at this myself rather than driving the distance to go to one, because there's not one incredibly close to me. Also, has anyone heard about this spot before?  I'm worried about the heat output of these thigns because when my Otterbox comes in the mail, i'm worried about that heating up then shutting itself down, because my iPod does that from time to time in it's Defender. Thoughts? Thanks

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of itunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

My sister and myself are getting each others text messages. Help Hard Question iphone

This whole problem started when I first got my iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! This problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a iphone 4s btw. with my old iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! This is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

My boyfriend upgraded to an iphone 5 recently and decided to give me his old iphone 4, but i'm on Vodafone and his iphone is locked to Orange.  So he rang up Orange to request an unlock which cost £20 and the guy said it could take upto 28days (which seems a long time to unlock a phone) The guy at Orange said the reason for this is that the unlock has to be done by Apple (which makes sense) and so my iphone would go on a list and once it reaches the top of that list it will be done - (is this true?)  It's been 3 weeks and my boyfriend still hasn't recieved an email to say the unlock has been successful. I'm starting to get impatient as I didn't think it would actually take the full 4 weeks to process(i know it hasn't been 28 days yet...) - but it's looking like it will take that long at this rate... if it gets unlocked at all! I would also like to know if my iphone 4 has been jailbroken in the past - will this prevent the phone being unlocked by apple?  Any help or advice would be great

My iphone 5 has continually been "searching" for two days.  I had the sim card swapped twice yesterday and nothing has changed. What could be wrong and what is my next step? More info: I have reset network setting, reset my entire phone as well. It will not allow me to even go through the process of setting up the phone so I'm stuck at the beginning screen. I've tried to set it up through wifi and through itunes with no luck. Before I reset it, it wouldn't allow me to update once the searching problem began.

Hello, I currently on a road trip in Finland and got a 4G/LTE plan from the local carrier ELISA/Saunalahti. My iphone 5 should do 4G/LTE here and also got the local carrier update to 14.1. The switch for LTE is also there and activated. The phone never switches to LTE. They put my SIM in the local store in another iphone 5 and it did work - so the issue seems to be with my iphone 5. Any Ideas? The phone was bought in Switzerland and is the same model as the guy in the store had - A1429. Anybody with similar issue or an idea? Thanks!

Apple recently replaced my broken iphone 4s with a new one. Everything was great, the backup on my computer worked and I had all mystuff from the day before it was replaced. I want to start over iphone

So I got my iphone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iphone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iphone to ONLY my computer... When I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. When I do have my iphone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... Whenever I try to sync my iphone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "itunes cannot read the contents of this iphone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iphone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled itunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? Once done I looked at my phone to find that all new contacts since October 2012 had been deleted along with any texts I had received and all the photos I had taken on my new phone. Instead I now have all my old photos and apps from my old phone. But nothing newer than October 2012. How can I get the new stuff back on my phone?

Screen display problems LCD iphone 5

I bought an iphone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iphone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . When I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iphone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!

I have noticed that my phone has started to become slow and lagging. I make sure i kill all apps that are running when i am not using them. Connected to Wifi when i can and everything else that i can tell is normal. Just need more advice on what to do. I do not want to hard reset the phone. iphone won't turn back on

Hi, so last week my phone suddenly turnt off. An hour later I could turn it back on, but then the next day the exact same problem and I couldn't turn it on. About 20 hours later and 5 programs I had fixed it. Then now, its 'died' on me again.  Firstly, I have 100% battery. Connecting to my docking system turns it on but brings up the set up page (connect to itunes on first use) It isn't recognised when plugged into the wall, I've used threee different wires and different wall adapters. itunes can't restore it as half way through my phone cuts out and then itunes can't find it. I don't touch my phone whilst connected so it's an internal issue there.  I have tried other progams and they don't recognise my iphone either.  Could it be the battery? Should I replace it? Or could it just be loose? It's 2 years old, so yeah I need a new phone. But I currently can't afford to replace it, so I need as much help into getting this one working for now! Ha Ha Also, it's the iphone 4 and it isn't water damaged.

Hi, I've had my iphone 5 16gb since November last year. I bought it straight from Apple. For the last week my sleep/wake button hasn't been working as it should. I bought iphone4 on December 2012. It just switched off and while switching it on it went to recovery mode. So I took the iphone to apple authorised service provider (Ample Technologies,Chennai), they done software update and tried but it was still in recover mode. Finally they said that, they will provide replacement since my phone is under warranty. But after examining they said that its physically damaged and they will not provide any service and also asking me to get iphone back. I tried contacting the customer care India No and I talked to the Technical Manager but he simply said "UNFORTUNATELY WE DONT HAVE ANY OPTION TO PROVIDE YOU MAM, SO PLEASE COLLECT YOUR iphone FROM THE SERVICE CENTER". But the saddest part is eventhough I've my phone under warraanty I'm not given any service, they are just asking to throw it in the dustbin and wailk away. I just asked them provide hardware service. Now what shall I do????

Hopefully someone here can help me...  My iCloud always shows my backup as being 4.8GB, even with EVERYTHING turned off. After downloading iOS 7 I figured out the problem: I have 4.8 GB of  "Messages (Saved)". This is even after deleting ALL my messages. I'm not sure what this could be. I tried PhoneCleaner, i FunBox, and everything else I can find, but I can't find a way to access or view these messages to delete them. Could someone help me? sharing Apple ID iphone 3G

I started with one iphone. Then an iPod was added. Then another iPod. And now 2 more iPhones. The phones are all under an A T & T family plan. When setting them up I used the same Apple ID so we would all be able to get the same apps. I'm not sure if this is correct. It is causing problems because any apps that are added to one device it automatically goes to all the other devices. And calendar events are popping up on other devices. Also whenever a device is plugged in to the computer to charge or update, they all say katie's phone which is the original device. How do I get itunes to recognize each individual device? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey,I tried updating my 4s today and my phone got stuck in recovery mode. I have nothing backed up and over a years worth of data on my aps aswell as very important baby photos that I was hoping I wouldnt lose. I have tried holding lock/home a few times and does not work, also I have tried RecBoot with the same outcome. I am getting very worried and cant access my phone. When I plug my iphone 4s up to my Windows 7 64bit PC It is detected by the PC and itunes, but it does not start AutoPlay. I have checked all the basics, making sure autoplay is set to "ask me everytime" the device is plugged up. yet it does not do this. I have reset to defaults on the phone as well as on my PC. AutoPlay still does not come up. This is mainlty an inconvience but still, it SHOULD just work and it doesnt. So any suggestions besides what I've already tried would be awesome.
