After recently downgrading back to iOS 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5 I am trying to get back my apps but every time I go into App store it only shows option Open for apps I had previously. apps don t appear in my home screen. HELP

After recently downgrading from iOS 7 back to iOS 6.1.4 on my iPhone whenever I go into the App store to redownload my apps it only gives me the option "open" but I don't have the apps, therefore I don't HAve the app to open. Please help

Stuck on apple logo tried everything HELP iPhone 4

I was installing an app, it got to around 3/4 of a way and then stopped installing and I waited about 5 minutes alas it was still stuck on the same 3/4 mark. A friend told me to turn my phone off and back on, stupidly I turned it off halfway through the download/install and it wouldn't switch back on, it just stayed at the apple logo. I've tried many "solutions" like holding down the home and on button, doing that whilst it's plugged into the computer etc and it just won't turn on! I'm thinking a trip to the apple store is needed but the closest one is around an hour away so before that does anyone have any suggestions? :(

Why are no apple stores in South West Sydney iPhone 5

I have a brand new iPhone 5 which cannot access the server without wifi, I have restored the phone and network settings even replaced the nano sim but the Optus store states that I now need to replace the phone at an apple store but the nearest store is an hour drive is there another location where I can replace the phone around the Bankstown area?

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it.  I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already. P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

How to use iMessage for specific contacts iPhone 5

I'm thinking this is impossible, but I thought I'd post and see if I could get an answer. I am running short on data and have unlimited texts and therefore I turned iMessage off because I don't have access to wifi anywhere. But I found out that it's the only way that I can contact some friends that are out of the country. Is there a way that I can enable iMessage only for those people and leave it disabled for everyone else? I've looked through the forums and searched for the answer, but I can't even find someone who has the same problem as me. Any help would be appreciated.

My iPhone 5 IMEI no says it is purchased from USA whereas I had bought it in Hong Kong. It's still under warranty. The Sleep/wake button is not working and I would like to know whether can I get a replacement under warranty at an Apple store in Singapore? I reside in India and there are no Apple Stores located here. Nearest to me is Singapore. Kindly help.

The lock button on my iPhone 5 has stopped working... I don't live near an Apple store, and my free 90-day AppleCare deal is up.  I would like to avoid paying money for a one-time incident to use AppleCare, so is there a way for me to send in my iPhone in instead of visiting a store?  Or are there other options at all?  Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Really hot iPhone iPhone 5

I just bought an iPhone 5 this past Friday for my first smartphone with Verizon, and I have been pretty happy with it so far, though I haven't been using it too heavily. Today, I had it with me all day long, and it seemed like the more I used it, it got pretty hot. Even hot to the point where I couldn't hold it in my hand in an air conditioned room. When this started to happen, I noticed a small spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen that turned yellow, almost like a sunspot. Seeing that, I turned it off for a bit, then turned it back on, and it was still there. I then didn't touch it for awhile, let it cool down, and when it did, the spot disappeared.  So I brought it back to vErizon where i brought it, and by that time it colled off and the spot gone, so they couldn't help me, but they did say to bring it to the Apple store and they can plug it in to see how hot it has been in the past. Is there any way that I can look at this myself rather than driving the distance to go to one, because there's not one incredibly close to me. Also, has anyone heard about this spot before?  I'm worried about the heat output of these thigns because when my Otterbox comes in the mail, i'm worried about that heating up then shutting itself down, because my iPod does that from time to time in it's Defender. Thoughts? Thanks

So i was playing with my phone, put it down for a second and when i came back to it the screen was covered with black and white lines.. Ive tried to restart the phone, reset it and all but nothing seems to work. does anyone have advice? I am overseas so going into an apple store isnt an option.

My friend is on a class trip to Germany. He has been texting me on his ipod, through wifi, with a texting app called text free. I have an iPhone with unlimited texting. We have not been texting through iMessage, just SMS, but he is sending them from his ipod. Will I be charged gobs of money for "international texting" or is it part of my data plan since he is using wifi? HELP!

Iphone 5 searching

My iphone 5 has continually been "searching" for two days.  I had the sim card swapped twice yesterday and nothing has changed. What could be wrong and what is my next step? More info: I have reset network setting, reset my entire phone as well. It will not allow me to even go through the process of setting up the phone so I'm stuck at the beginning screen. I've tried to set it up through wifi and through itunes with no luck. Before I reset it, it wouldn't allow me to update once the searching problem began.

wifi connection problems with iPhone 5

The problem I am having is that my iPhone 5 will connect to my wifi at home but won't connect to my wifi at work. Everyone else can connect at work with no problem with their iPhone 4,4s,android phones and iPads.The network I am trying to connect to is a secret network that I have to manually search for it and input a password. I don't have trouble finding the network the issues I'm having is whenever I put the password in it will say wrong password 10times in a row then it might connect for about 10min then it will disconnect itself and when I try to connect again it will either say wrong password or unable to connect to wifi!!!!! Please help I need wifi at work since I am there more than I'm home.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Hello, I currently on a road trip in Finland and got a 4G/LTE plan from the local carrier ELISA/Saunalahti. My Iphone 5 should do 4G/LTE here and also got the local carrier update to 14.1. The switch for LTE is also there and activated. The phone never switches to LTE. They put my SIM in the local store in another iPhone 5 and it did work - so the issue seems to be with my iPhone 5. Any Ideas? The phone was bought in Switzerland and is the same model as the guy in the store had - A1429. Anybody with similar issue or an idea? Thanks!

Receiving US number s imessages to international number iPhone

Hi all,  Haven't been able to find anything on this. I have an iPhone 4s which I had been using to iMessage over wifi with my friends while I'm in China (took out my Verizon sim card). I got an international (China Mobile) SIM card today after unlocking w/ verizon, etc. But now my old number is not "registered" with iMessage (I checked this in messages on my macbook) and changing my number in my phone isn't helping.  Is there a way that I can readd my US number so that when people iMessage my US phone number it goes to my iPhone which is now a different, international number?  My Apple ID still has my old number registered in it, but the Messages settings in my phone show the new international number without a means to add my old number. I'd rather use my US number over my Chinese phone number if theres a way that I can set it back to that number.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

iPhone 4s drains fully charged battery within 1 hour after it accidentally plugged into an ipad 3 charger fix

My fully charged iPhone 4s used to last enough for 1 day. Today, I accidentally plugged iPhone into an iPad 3 charger for about 2 hours, then I noticed that it is getting abnormally hot. After this incident, the phone drains battery by decreasing 1% of the battery every minute. I went to see Apple technical support, who tested and said for certain that the problem was the battery (after assuring me that it should be fine to charge iPhone 4s with iPad 3 charger!). After charging me a hefty fee, I left the store, and iphone 4s still drains battery like before. Can my phone be fixed without requiring me to get a new phone? Can I get my money back from Apple techincal support, who gave me a wrong diagosis of my phone?

Over the last 4 months or so, my iPhone4's download rate has progressivly slowed. wifi is still working fine, but cellular data was noticably lagging with missed texts, slow applications, and generally slow browsing. Since then I have switched carriers twice thinking it was a problem with cellular service provider, but to no avail. This last week I have had no ability to connect to my service provider's data network, evident because that little '3G' icon at the top no longer appears in any part of the city I visit. I removed the protective case around the iPhone thinking it could be an antennae issue, but no, still not working. Paranoid, I even checked to see that cellular 3G is turned on in the device settings; it is, and I felt stupid for even doubting that it wasnt.  Is it normal for a cellular phone's hardware to degrade? Could there be an enviornmental factor i'm not seeing?

Why no international warranty option for iPhone 5

Why is there not an option available to extend the iPhone warranty to an international warranty? Especially with a phone that you tend to take with you whenever you travel having to go to the country you bought it originally is a pain and sometimes not feasible. In my case : when I travelled from Hong Kong to a business trip in the Netherlands and then on to the US my iPhone 5 got stolen at the airport in Hong Kong. luckily I only had a prepaid SIM for Hong Kong in the iPhone so I went online and ordered a new simlock free  iPhone 5 at the Dutch online Apple store to be delivered in Amsterdam a few days later. So far, so good. I am currently in China and my iPhone 5 sleep button broke down. As I had to be in Hong Kong last week I thought I would stop by the Causeway Bay Apple store after making a genius bar appointment. They checked the iPhone 5 and confirmed the sleep button was broken and it would be swapped for a new one. However on checking my serial number they told me I had to go back to The Netherlands to get it fixed.... So here is a problem, I am not planning on being there any time soon. Why is it not possible in the global economy we live in to get an international warranty?  I called Apple Care and they suggested I could try in an Apple store in North Carolina where I am due in a few weeks, but they could not guarantee they would swap the phone. Now the end of July  I am due in the UK and from what I read now an iPhone bought in any EU country could be swapped in another EU country. so that would mean I could swap it in London?  Very odd.  Always travel with my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and these do have international warranty.

4s being slow and lagging iPhone

I have noticed that my phone has started to become slow and lagging. I make sure i kill all apps that are running when i am not using them. Connected to wifi when i can and everything else that i can tell is normal. Just need more advice on what to do. I do not want to hard reset the phone. Already had problems with Itunes before and don't want to try to figure everything out again. Thanks

Hello, and thank you for reading. I have an iPhone 4s, and my primary email account is Gmail. I can receive emails, but I can't send them. When I try to click on the little pen icon to write an email, the app crashes/quits and I'm sent back to the homescreen. I saw that most people who can't send email receive an error message, but I've never received an error message, the app just stops. I checked in the Settings, and every thing seems to be in order (I'm not extremely tech savvy, so I could be wrong). I started to experience this problem maybe a week ago. Also, my Messages app can be a little sketchy sometimes too. When I'm connected to wifi and trying to send an iMessage, the message won't send and there will be a little red exclamation point next to the message. My Messages app works sometimes, but do you all think that the problems are linked somehow? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm out of the office a lot, and it's an inconvinecne that I can't send emails while I'm on the road. Should I take off back protector on my iPhone 5

Just when I got my 5, my carrier provided me with a back protector. I was going to buy a case from the store but they were poor-quality generic ones sold at a extremely overpriced price. Instead, I ordered a case from Amazon that was estimated to deliver on Thursday this week. Should I take it off? iPhone 5's sleepwake button not working properly

Hi, I've had my iPhone 5 16gb since November last year. I bought it straight from Apple. For the last week my sleep/wake button hasn't been working as it should. It works fine when pushed on the left side of the button but only occasionally works when pushed from the right side.It's frustrating because I don't live near an Apple store and I hear that doing it over the phone and getting them to pick it up takes a long time.It's still usable for now, just annoying because it doesn't always go off. I'd be grateful for any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advanced,Ben

iPhone 5 Battery drain when not using wifi also gets hot.

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my iPhone 5, if I am away from a wifi connection I experience high battery drain & the phone will sometimes get hot.Generally I am in the office or at home & the phone will be connected to a wifi hotspot, however yesterday I was out of the office in meetings etc, I didn’t have access to any wifi so used 3G data, I was in London in areas with generally good 3G coverage.  The battery went from 100% to 0% in 9 hours with what I would call minimal usage as follows.4 minutes worth of calls.25 received emails5 sent emails9 photos taken1 hour streaming music via Bluetooth20 minutes reading from news stand5 minutes in the facebook app5 minutes using the Maps app2 minutes viewing London Tube Map app  This appears to be a problem with the data receiving part of the phone as when I have access to wifi the battery life is generally fine.  I have had iPhones for about 3 years & never had issues like this. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Iphone 4S wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my wifi slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a wifi-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole Iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting Iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your wifi. The Iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.

iPhone 4S Multitouch doest work properly while in charge

it is just recently when i noticed that my iPhone 4S doest play so nice with muti touch especially to pinch to zoom on either pictures, ibooks, and webpages,,, when I do multitouch,, the screen just go wild and the images shakes, and worst, the screen doest respond totally in multitouch,, i have no problem in one finger navigations like tap to zoom etc,, it is just the multitouch while in charge.... I have no problem when the phone is not charging it runs smoothly... what could be the problem?? also I notices that after i juiced up the battery a while (after 45mins) the problem on the multitouch seems to disappear, but when you reconnect it again it persist... is there anyone experienced the same? and what would be the solution... apple refuses to accept my complaint because when i brought it to apple store it behaves normally even while in charge,, im using the supplied charger...

Iphone 5 wifi drops every time I stream BT Home Hub router

Ok this is the second iPhone 5  I've had and I'm having the same issue as the one I've just replaced, the phone is dropping the wifi connection whenever anything is streaming, i.e. YouTube, NetFllix, Podcsts etc... Apple support said it may be my router but every other device in the house is fine, iPad 2, iPod Touch my wifes iPhone 4 and my Macbook. My question is could it be an incopatability issue with my BT Home  Hub 2 router and iPhone 5? I've tried all of the troubleshooting suggested by apple support but the issue continues. I've also tried other possibilities from this and other forums and nothing seems to fix the issue. I'm opening a new thread because of the significance of the router which I think my be the problem but have no idea to be honest. I wished I'd kept my old iphone 4 it was solid and the battery life on this new phone is just shocking! Any help or ideas would be appreciated cheers
