After recently downgrading back to iOS 6.1.4 on my iphone 5 I am trying to get back my apps but every time I go into App Store it only shows option Open for apps I had previously. apps don t appear in my home screen. HELP

Hey all I work in an Apple reseller. We often do iOS updates for customers on their iPhones or iPads. Everytime I do an update for a customer, iTunes downloads the software update. I was wondering if it was possible to downlaod it once, and always use that file (until a newer iOS is released). Just seems an inconvenience that I have to redownload the software every single time. I had to redownload my phone through iCloud because of a malfunction in the system, so I could not back up the phone.  I had almost 800 pictures on my photostream before, some duplicates, but for some reason less than 100 photos re-downloaded to my new iphone.  It stopped downloading the pictures, and has not turned up any new pictures for about nine hours.  Is there any way to get back those pictures? Thanks for any help!

App Store Apple ID issues iphone 3G

Hi everyone, Today I tried to use my TuneIn radio app. It wouldn't connect so I thought I'd delete and reinstall as I'd been experiencing buffering issues as well in the last few days. I deleted the app and went into the App Store to redownload it. The App Store won't load. It just has the loading message and the little loading symbol. I went on various forums, I've done a hard reset, turned phone off and on again, closed the app down on the open apps dock on the phone, I've reset my network connections etc. Also, I'm on the latest version of the iOS software 6.1.3. The last thing I tried was to sign my Apple ID out of the iTunes and App Stores and attempt to sign in again...  Now I can't sign in using my Apple ID. It says that it can't connect to the iTunes store. FFS!  Has anyone had this problem before? I frequently have issues where the update screen on the App Store either takes forever to load or doesn't but this is the whole app and everything Apple related not working. Thanks for your replies

I'm almost out of space on my phone, and I only want certain music on it--not my entire iTunes library. I even bought iTunes Match so that the majority of my music could be in the cloud and I could still access it without it taking up unneeded space on my phone. Is there a way to delete specific songs, or artists, or albums, or whatever off of the iphone 5 on the phone itself? I know you used to be able to just swipe your finger length-wise along a song and it would give you the option to delete the song (and you could do this with any section in the Music app e.g. artist, album, etc.). But I seem to be unable to do this anymore. And even then when I could delete individual selections, when I synced my phone to iTunes it would just redownload the music. I want to keep only certain songs on my phone in the Music app and only put others on if I specifically mean to do so. So basically, is there any way for me to do this? to keep only the bare necessities on my phone and not have others downloaded automatically?Thanks!

Dear all, Ever since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS6 (which apparently in many aspects is a bad decision), I discover my contacts are emptied from time to time. It is apparent in occasions when there are apps needing to access the contact list (with instant messenging apps like Whatsapp, Line etc, or even the Contacts App itself), and once the disappearing happens, I need to wait the contact list updates (downloads) itself with the entries from iCloud. I also believe the same happened in the background when I do not notice it, because I usually set different ringtones for certain people in my contact list, when the list goes empty and is filled again back from icloud, I will lose all ringtone settings. So I believe this irritating bug must be happening few times everyday sometimes without me noticing. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, and would like to see if Apple would be able to do something about it. This is annoying because if I input a new contact on my phone through the contact app, when this bug happens, I will definitely lose the newly added entries. So to be safe, now when I need to add a new contact, I have to do it on a computer, accessing icloud.com and add directly to the icloud records. It's the first problem I experienced with my iphone for the years I have used the iphone products, but is also a critically fatal one...

Music not syncing via PC after IOS 6.1 update iphone 4S

Hey guys, is anybody else having issues syncing music via Itunes on a PC to your iphone since the IOS 6.1 update. I have an iphone 4s. After updating my iphone via PC, all of my music (some 5100 songs) were removed. I checked the settings in Itunes, making sure that SYNC entire library was selected. I also made sure that my iphone settings were set to sync via PC. It would show that it was going to resync my music, but then finish the sync without adding any music back to my iphone. I can upload music via the cloud, including albums I burned to Itunes via CDs, but honestly I don't want to have to manually redownload every single album I have. Any ideas?

iphone 5 shuts off randomly-buttons not recognized to restart

I've had this happen twice so far on an iphone 5 64gig model.  The first time my phone just suddenly powered down - instantly - and it did not respond to any buttons as I tried to power it back up.  I thought perhaps the battery was dead and plugged it in - later I checked the phone and it was on and fully charged.  Then it happened again - with the battery at 97% I was actually on the speaker phone using my iphone 5 (with a call to Verizon to setup autopay) and then the call suddenly ended.  The iphone was off - holding the power button did nothing, even trying the "hard reset" option with the home and power buttons did nothing.  I then took the phone and plugged in the cable so that it would charge.  The phone continued to not recognize any buttons until about 30 seconds after being connected to the charger at which point it booted itself up and showed my battery nearly full.  I disconnected the phone and there sat my battery at 97% charge. Has anyone else seen unexpected behavior like this?  I figure I'll take it in to the Genius bar for a swap, but would prefer not to have to redownload all my apps and set all my passwords back up. Thanks,James

Apple ID A is my mother's, and B is mine.2          The iphone is my mother's, so naturally she would sign in her account on anything that she does on the phone.3          Now, I have played some games on my mother's phone (and of course, unlocked some game progress).4          Can I transfer the save data (or game progress) to my Apple ID account? (through iCloud?) Now,  5a               My mother signs in her ID at the App store, iCloud and Game Center. If I have played some games on her account and unlocked some game progress, can I just sign her out of everything and log in to my ID, and from there, take the necessary steps to save my progress? 5b               When syncing with a computer (that has been synced before with Apple ID A), will the computer detect a mismatch of ID (because I am syncing for B) and attempt to "delete the data"? If everything is successful (which the point in asking this is to know whether the thing that I am doing can be done...) 6                 Take it that all has been successfully done. If let's say I have saved progress in a game and I have successfully saved that onto iCloud, then is it correct to say that if I delete the app (but keep the data), then some time later if I redownload the app again will my saved progress be there?

Okay, i know this has been asked a lot but nothing has solved my problem. My friend use his account on my iphone and downloaded a few apps for me.  but since a lot of apps update a lot, i got annoyed having to bug my friend to do it for me. So i download/purchased the app on MY own account.  But every time an update shows up, it still show his.  My iTunes shows that its my account. I have already...Signed off --> sign back inSigned off --> forced restart --> sign back indelete app --> redownload Im out of ideas and i cant find anything.  Its just annoying having to delete app and reinstall it, i completely beat a game, waiting for the next update for more levels, and since i removed and deleted, it deleted all of it, had to start over... Also dont want to be downloading tomtom(1.7GB) every time a new update comes... anyone can hep me?

Hello, so I have noticed when I scrolled down the app list in a category. It's always the Free category section where I download my apps. As I scroll down it would showed that I have installed an app that I have deleted alreadt but when I went to check the summary of the app, the button that said 'free' went to the 'install.' Yet I have never clicked on it. It's a minor issue, I didn't redownload it. However, when I went to the Updates -> Purchased -> All sections. It has shown all the apps I have installed on my iphone including the ones I have deleted but they have the iCloud icon instead of the 'installed' status. I tried looking up previous threads to see if there is a solution of competely getting rid of the old data apps off my phone. I tried to check if any old apps are on my iTunes but it only shows my current installed apps that I didn't delete. Any help?

i'm really depressed that i just bought this iphone 4 for a few months and now i feel like it's already had a flaw.i've tried all the guide you gave me, but i still can't download normally.searched all over google and finally i use apple support (there will be no other better place to ask) first, yes the problem is in this iphone 4, my brother's ipod download using my apple Id without problem.this flaw started probably after two condition,1. i used a public wifi when i'm at restaurant (never used other wifi, usually use private wifi at home)2. i downloaded an free app named "Chicken Revolution", after the progress bar complete, the status is "Installing" and takes too long to complete, so i reboot the phone using "slide to power off", after that i got 4 problem whenever i try to install free app. the problem is :1. whenever i download free apps from app store, the app status is "Waiting" and never complete. (didn't touch the phone until morning, app gone)2. same case as number 1 but the app icon is grayed out (cannot delete it)3. if app status became Loading, downloading successful, but stuck at Installing (progress bar full)4. same case as number 3 but this time the download complete successfully, but the progress bar is still there and if i tap on it once, the progress bar goes empty and status become "Loading", yes it redownload and reinstall (and keep repeating like this) i've tried both iphone reset, close all application, turn on and off wifi, download another app, nothing works.the only way is to download from itunes, yet that mean my iphone really had flaw.i wonder if there's an app or something still downloading or paused but invisible from menu. someone please help me.Regards,VK

More than one Apple ID iphone 3G

I seem to have two Apple IDs. One was set up for iTunes purchases and another (earlier I think) in connection with AppleCare and other things like Mobile Me. Unfortunately some of my Apps seem to have been downloaded with the non iTunes Password and iTunes doesn't recognise them when I back up my iphone. This causes me to loose the funtionality of these Apps and I have to delete and redownload them! Really I would like to have just one Apple ID for everything. Can I do this?

Help Cant restore my iphone 4

Hi guys!I just need some help. Heres my problem. I tried restoring my iphone 4 to 4.3.1. It got stuck for an hour and I decided to redownload the firmware and do it again. So here is the screen when I tried to connect my phone to my computer and my phone is in recovery mode. Notice that it did not recognize the capacity, software version and serial number of my phone.So I press shift while clicking restore and then I select the firmware file for 4.3.1 for iphone 4. The restore process started then after a couple of mins I got an Error: iphone could be restored. An unknown error occurred (14) and then my phone went to recovery mode again. I have an iphone 4 and my facebook app hasnt been updating this morning like others so I thought Id try to delete the app, restart my phone, and redownload it..deleted facebook..turned phone off regularly & waited 30 seconds tried to turn phone on & its stuck on the black screen w apple..I have already tried doing the reset by holding both home and lock botton & it flashes black and then I let go when the apple pops back up and still doesnt do anything more. Ive plugged it in my computer and my computer isnt recognizing anything plugged in..also just now the screen just went black (the apple just went away) but the phone was off when I tried to push a button I plugged it into computer with it off & were back to the apple just sitting there. Hi, I downloaded the iOS 4.1 update last night and I did the installation. Everything worked fine until began the restore process. The restore gets stuck near the 60%.I have searched all across the forums and internet, shut down the airport, change the usb ports, erase the .ipsw, redownload the update, erase the backup folder. I hope this helps for those of you that had my same problem.I have Solved my no Wifi after 4.0.1I really have no idea how i did it but i think this how i did it because it was the last step i took. i did the whole put the phone in recovery mode. i then went and installed the os4.0.1. As soon as the iphone 3g said phone activated i quickly Restored the phone to a backup i had did back on june 29th. Now i did lose all my information i had gain since then but i dont care about all the text messages and my camera roll for the 18days i had missed. but Now i am connected to my WIFI with not problem and my camera roll has my pics from june29th and earlier. Problem with songs bought on iphone 3G

Alright, so I did a quick search through the forums, but Im unsure how to exactly word the problem Im having, and thus couldnt find an answer.Some of the songs Ive purchased on my iphone (not through iTunes) wont play. If I try to redownload them, the iTunes store recognizes that I bought them, and asks if I want to buy them again. They show up on my phone, but if you try to play one, it skips it (like its a zero second song) and any other songs that wont play until it hits a song that it will play. The songs worked for a couple days before they stopped working, and I didnt get a chance to sync them to my computer. (I was getting one of the unknown errors, which I just recently figured out) Anyways, it wont pull the songs to my computer either, and Im trying to avoid paying for them again. I set up an account on iphone, it got disabled because of ???????? credit card change or I am not sure. Set up another account on iTunes, when I attempt to use iTunes to upgrade apps the old account comes up. I am not sure where to go on my iphone to delete the old account. HELP iphone will not turn back on 3G

Ok, I was messing with Facebook this morning and FB would not let me post anything. I would post and then it would go back to the app screen. I did this a total of 3 times and then decided to delete FB and then try and redownload it. Well phone started moving real slow so I shut it off. Held the top button and slid the slider over and it started to turn off. It didnt shut off for a while so I hit the home button and it just turned off. Now when I go to turn it back on the apple comes up for about 10-15 seconds and shuts off. I have tried holding both buttons down with no luck. Have tried everything, held both buttons down for 30 seconds, continuously hit the buttons while the apple is up etc.... Nothing works. I need help, what can I do to get my phone back up. Saving all data in preparation for possible replacement phone iphone 3G

Hello,Long story short - I may be getting a replacement iphone for the one I currently have. I havent handed my phone over just yet because I want to make 100% sure that all my data is properly saved and how I should be giving it back to Apple.Everything is in iTunes - music, podcasts etc etc, so Im hoping that just hooking up the new iphone and syncing will put all my data onto the new iphone? Is this the same process with the apps? Theyre in iTunes as well, so again just hook up and sync and I wont have any dramas? Or do I have to redownload? If so, what happens with the apps that Ive paid for, I dont want to pay for them again.In terms of what Im going to lose, I can only think of my contacts (theyre not synced up with iTunes, I just put them in manually), my e-mail accounts Ive added any photos that I havent synced over and my SMS conversations. Is that about it?Next question is - how do I give it back to Apple? Should I be taking all my music, apps etc off? Deleting my contacts and SMS conversations etc? Or just leave it all as is?Any other advice would be great! Cheers.

Soon after Apple updated the look of the App description pages, the most bizarre thing happened. I dont know if the timing is a coincidence, but it is most mysterious: Every single one of the apps on my iphone 3G just vanished after the first sync. The Apple-installed homepage apps were there, but none of the 60+ apps Ive downloaded over the past 18 months.I went to the Mobile Applications folder in my Music home folder, and only a handful were there. Everything else was just gone. And the only backup available to restore from was the most recent which was the App-less backup.I eventually had to redownload every one of them and reconfigure my app listing.Does anyone have an idea what may have happened and how I might avoid this in the future??Thanks in advance. Hello, all first post = Ive been using my ihpone for a while now peefectly fine, 3g, update dthe OS every time its come out, no problems. Until today. I got a few new songs so i added them to my iTunes library and synced my phone, then i check out my phone and almost EVERY SINGLE app wasnt there! Many of these I paid, for, some as much as 10 dollars! Ive downloaded them all through my iphone appstore so theyre not on my itunes on my PC so is there any way to redownload them all or recover them somehow? So I restored my iphone, and it wont show any of the apps that should have been restored from the backup. At first I thought the apps werent restored, but then when I deleted one from the itunes application list, itunes asked me to sync my iphone and it restored those apps from my iphone to itunes. So the apps must be on there, i just cant see them. i dont know what to do, i cant redownload them from itunes cause it wont let me, and restoring it wont help.UPDATE: I was using iphonebrowswer to see if i could figure anything out, and i saw that in the applications folder at the root level had the basic apps installed by apple. then if i go to User/applications, that has all of the apps i need. So I have new laptop iphone 3G

Hey guys, I have a 3G iphone, with approx 14Gb worth of music, videos, photos and apps on it.Im writing this on a new laptop.My concern is that my iphone is now essentially a brick.My current iTunes (on my new laptop) is empty. I would say only 50% of my previous iTunes library was downloaded from the iTunes store. The rest was ripped from Cds over time. I downloaded a couple apps (facebook, shazam, and myspace) but its not working when I tap them. I have 3G and its displayed on my phone. When I click the facebook app (or any others), it starts to open then shuts down. However, I can view youtube videos no problem.Also, I was downloading an album via itunes, it got halfway through then i lost my WiFi, then it stopped downloading, and now the album doesnt appear in my itunes on the iphone. When i tried to redownload, it gave me a message that said I had already purchased it, but it wasnt downloaded. It did not give me an option to download. Its not downloading now, nor are the songs in the queue on my phone to be downloaded. I have no idea what to do.I just moved to Naples, Italy yesterday. Im using my iphone via Vodaphone. Cliffnotes:-Facebook App for iphone was messed up, kept logging me off-Deleted Facebook Application, reset my phone-iphone no longer worked after i turned it on, was in Recover mode.-Got home, restored it, noticed that my whole iTunes library was actually gone.-Found out my bro backed up some Files on my computer to a hard drive (this may be why my iTunes library is gone)-Extremely upset and need help.Full, Uncut Version:-So here I am with my iphone, just doing my normal thing, and I try to open up my Facebook Application. For some reason, even when I typed the correct email/ password combo it would not log me in, so I changed my password and then it would log me off within 3 seconds of logging in. I decided I would delete the application and redownload it.-After deletion, I decided to restart my phone. I turned it off and tried to turn it back on, but it would not turn back on. It was in Recover mode so I needed to connect it to iTunes. -So I get home, connect my iphone to my computer, and restore it. After it is restored, I notice that ALL my songs, applications, music, movies are ALL GONE. So my whole library is gone. -Extremely annoyed already, I find out my bro just backed up some files on the computer to a hard drive. I believe he also backed up my iTunes library.-With everything gone, my iphone is working now, but i have no idea how to get all my stuff back. I am extremely upset and need help.My Questions::-How exactly can I restore my iTunes library?--Dont I need to find where the library backup file is in the hard drive? What type of file is the backup file (if it is a file?) ?? What would it be named?--How can I bring back my library after i find it??---How do I restore my iphone again to how it was (with all my old files, contacts, applications, music, etc.) AFTER I RESTORE MY LIBRARY?Alright, hope someone can help.
