My iphone 5 IMEI no says it is purchased from USA whereas I had bought it in Hong Kong. It's still under warranty. The Sleep/wake button is not working and I would like to know whether can I get a replacement under warranty at an Apple store in Singapore? The lock button on my iphone 5 has stopped working... I don't live near an Apple store, and my free 90-day AppleCare deal is up.  I would like to avoid paying money for a one-time incident to use AppleCare, so is there a way for me to send in my iphone in instead of visiting a store?  Or are there other options at all?  Thanks so much for your help in advance!

camera on i5 not focusing iphone 5

My camera was working fine and taking great pictures then one day it just stopped focusing and the pictures are blurry.  If I switch it to the front camera it works well and looks like it should but when I turn it back it goes back to being out of focus and I can't figure out how to fix it?  Any suggestions or do I need to take it to Apple? Thanks,Laurie

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of ITunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

my iphone 4s volume isn't working

My iphone 4S volume isn't working. No sound when playing music. No ring or text message sound. If I try to turn volume up for ringer on side, the box appears, but no bar to show volume up or down. If I do a test ring in settings it works though. Silent switch is in the correct position. I tried a hard reboot (ignored the red slider). It worked a minute ago but then stopped again. It seems like it might have the problem when I'm trying to play music. Thanks!

I have a factory unlocked iphone 4, I recently went on vacation overseas and was using a gsm sim from that country, naturally the iMessage and all werent working but I figured it was because I was out of the US. Since I've gotten back, and started using my old sim, my iMessage, iCloud, Facetime, and MMS messaging aren't working. It wont even allow me to activate, the buttons are gray, it's locked or something. And its not a network problem because my sim is working fine, internet, apps everything. Except for iMessage, iCloud..etc. Can anyone help?

Makingreceiving call mic problems iphone

Hi, I understand there are two mics on the iphone 4, which would explain my problem. I need a DIY fix if possible please. When I'm making a call, the person im speaking to can only hear a extremely faint voice from me, so faint they would need to be in a sound proof room to hear me. If I switch to speaker phone they can hear me fine, as im guessing this uses the other mic located on the top of the iphone. I've seen a youtube fix for a mic which isn't working. Would this be the fix involving opening iphone and inserting a piece of card or plastic to create pressure on the chip?  Any comments or advice would be most grateful.

Ok so my friend got ahold of my iphone and downloaded the software from ios 7 onto it. When I went to take it off I just erased and reset the phone. While doing that it has now completely locked me out of my phone because the software she downloaded wasn't paid for. The screen is now telling me "the device is not registered as part of the iphone developer program." Does anyone have any suggestions? Turning the phone on or off, starting over as an option is not working. I'm not sure what else to do and I'm starting to freak out a little bit.

i just factory unlocked the iphone 4 with my provider. i did a full factory reset and set up as a new device. currently it displayed 439 MB "Other" and 13.27 GB Free. i understand that a part of the 16gb is used for the ios operations. so that i should have somewhere between 13.6 - 13.8 GB of actual free space. i am wondering what the 439mb of "Other" is and if its something i can ger rid of.

Well after a fall from around 10cm high my mic stopped working. I could listen to all my ringtones, i can voice record but when comes to phone call i cant hear anything or be heared even if i use the loudspeaker. Also when a call is established the speaker option is enabled automatically. Replacing mic will work ? Anyone had similar problem?

My boyfriend upgraded to an iphone 5 recently and decided to give me his old iphone 4, but i'm on Vodafone and his iphone is locked to Orange.  So he rang up Orange to request an unlock which cost £20 and the guy said it could take upto 28days (which seems a long time to unlock a phone) The guy at Orange said the reason for this is that the unlock has to be done by Apple (which makes sense) and so my iphone would go on a list and once it reaches the top of that list it will be done - (is this true?)  It's been 3 weeks and my boyfriend still hasn't recieved an email to say the unlock has been successful. I'm starting to get impatient as I didn't think it would actually take the full 4 weeks to process(i know it hasn't been 28 days yet...) - but it's looking like it will take that long at this rate... if it gets unlocked at all! I would also like to know if my iphone 4 has been jailbroken in the past - will this prevent the phone being unlocked by apple?  Any help or advice would be great

Hello, I currently on a road trip in Finland and got a 4G/LTE plan from the local carrier ELISA/Saunalahti. My iphone 5 should do 4G/LTE here and also got the local carrier update to 14.1. The switch for LTE is also there and activated. The phone never switches to LTE. They put my SIM in the local store in another iphone 5 and it did work - so the issue seems to be with my iphone 5. Any Ideas? The phone was bought in Switzerland and is the same model as the guy in the store had - A1429. Anybody with similar issue or an idea? Thanks!

Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iphone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to iTunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iphone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. Before I ordered my iphone 5 from StraightTalk I explained that I wanted to use it as a CDMA (Verizon) in the US and as a GSM (Vodafone) in Europe.I specifically asked if the phone would become a CDMA phone again when I removed the Vodafone GSM Sim after returning to the US. The answer was Yes. The CDMA function worked well in the US and the GSM function worked equally well in Europe.However, when I did remove the GSM card, the iphone 5 stopped working. According to StraightTalk, the only way to return to the CDMA function is to have them do a factory reset, which means loosing all data and downloaded apps.Of course, nobody told me that when I asked the question.Does anybody know if this is a requirement for every iphone 5 or just for StraightTalk phones?

Over the last 4 months or so, my iPhone4's download rate has progressivly slowed. WiFi is still working fine, but cellular data was noticably lagging with missed texts, slow applications, and generally slow browsing. Since then I have switched carriers twice thinking it was a problem with cellular service provider, but to no avail. This last week I have had no ability to connect to my service provider's data network, evident because that little '3G' icon at the top no longer appears in any part of the city I visit. I removed the protective case around the iphone thinking it could be an antennae issue, but no, still not working. Paranoid, I even checked to see that cellular 3G is turned on in the device settings; it is, and I felt stupid for even doubting that it wasnt.  Is it normal for a cellular phone's hardware to degrade? Could there be an enviornmental factor i'm not seeing?

A couple of days ago I found what seems to be water damage under my iphone 5 screen although to my knowledge it has not been near water. The phone is fully working and the water damage indicator is still white. If I send this off to Apple and they deem it to be water damage and say they're charging me, is it worth appealing?

iTunes 11 deleted recent contacts and photos iphone 5

I recently got an iphone 5. Downloaded iTunes 11 and tried to sync my new phone. Once done I looked at my phone to find that all new contacts since October 2012 had been deleted along with any texts I had received and all the photos I had taken on my new phone. Instead I now have all my old photos and apps from my old phone. But nothing newer than October 2012. How can I get the new stuff back on my phone?

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iphone

I have an iphone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

4s volume only works for calls can't hear text and can't watch videos since volume gone

I have an iphone 4S and my voulme just randomly stopped working. I checked my settings again and it only makes sounds when someone calls my cell. When I try to see what level the ringer is on it shows no bars or anything. Any ideas, I tried restarting it. Nothing works just happened randomly today. Any advise?

iphone won't turn back on

Hi, so last week my phone suddenly turnt off. An hour later I could turn it back on, but then the next day the exact same problem and I couldn't turn it on. About 20 hours later and 5 programs I had fixed it. Then now, its 'died' on me again.  Firstly, I have 100% battery. Connecting to my docking system turns it on but brings up the set up page (connect to iTunes on first use) It isn't recognised when plugged into the wall, I've used threee different wires and different wall adapters. iTunes can't restore it as half way through my phone cuts out and then iTunes can't find it. I don't touch my phone whilst connected so it's an internal issue there.  I have tried other progams and they don't recognise my iphone either.  Could it be the battery? Should I replace it? Or could it just be loose? It's 2 years old, so yeah I need a new phone. But I currently can't afford to replace it, so I need as much help into getting this one working for now! Ha Ha Also, it's the iphone 4 and it isn't water damaged.

Hi, I've had my iphone 5 16gb since November last year. I bought it straight from Apple. For the last week my sleep/wake button hasn't been working as it should. why isn't my iphone 5 charging

My iphone 5 doesnt want to charge. I plug it into the outlet or on my laptop but still doesnt charge. It shows the screen that it is charging but it stays like that for hours but still doesnt work. I have dropped it a couple of times when i first got it but it has been about three weeks since i have last dropped it. i sort of figured if it was because i dropped it, it would have stopped working that same week or so.

My battery life on my iphone 5 terrible HELP

Hello, this is my first time on a forum like this so I don't really know what to expect but basically the reason why I am here today is because of the fact that my iphone's battery is excuse my french, dog s***. I'm 16 years old almost 17 and I haven't had any problems with my other iphone's before (iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S) I charge it at 100% in the morning, so I leave it all night from 1% the previous night and then I get up and without even using it, it's at 95% already. Now the thing you're going to say is have you tried:  Turning off 3G/LTE - YESTurning off Wi-Fi - YESBluetooth - YESLocation Service's - YESPush Email - YESMessing with the brightness - YESRe-setting the phone several times (LOL) - YES  I honestly don't see why it is draining this much, I have like 10 apps and all of them are ones that don't send much data, nor recieve much. You know the usual Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc etc.  If someone could possibly help me I will be the happiest man alive!!! Thanks-Ed

No service for iphone 4 eventhough it under WARRANTY PERIOD

I bought iphone4 on December 2012. It just switched off and while switching it on it went to recovery mode. So I took the iphone to apple authorised service provider (Ample Technologies,Chennai), they done software update and tried but it was still in recover mode. Finally they said that, they will provide replacement since my phone is under warranty. But after examining they said that its physically damaged and they will not provide any service and also asking me to get iphone back. I tried contacting the customer care India No and I talked to the Technical Manager but he simply said "UNFORTUNATELY WE DONT HAVE ANY OPTION TO PROVIDE YOU MAM, SO PLEASE COLLECT YOUR iphone FROM THE SERVICE CENTER". But the saddest part is eventhough I've my phone under warraanty I'm not given any service, they are just asking to throw it in the dustbin and wailk away. I just asked them provide hardware service. Now what shall I do????

iphone 4S Wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my WIFI slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my Wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a WIFI-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your WIFI. The iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.
