My location arrow stays on all of the time. I have closed out all of my apps and it still remains. I know this drains my battery. Any suggestions?

After recently downgrading back to iOS 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5 I am trying to get back my apps but every time I go into App Store it only shows option Open for apps I had previously. apps don t appear in my home screen. HELP

After recently downgrading from iOS 7 back to iOS 6.1.4 on my iPhone whenever I go into the App Store to redownload my apps it only gives me the option "open" but I don't have the apps, therefore I don't HAve the app to open. Please help

Static noise when recording video with iPhone 4S this normal

Hi, I bought an iPhone 4S at the end of May time and it was taken back due to dead pixels once, then the newer one had the same issue so was returned again. The third one which I had replaced last Thursday has a different problem. All is well with the phone is what I initially thought (no dead pixels at least...) I recorded a video earlier on and played it back and noticed it has a very loud hissing/static type sound to it. Even over the voices or any type of noise. I am not sure why this is happening, I removed the case and it still happened. I read online that people have used an app called Qik so I downloaded that and tried it - the same noise occurs. Is this normal for a 4S? Or should I take it back a third time?  Thanks in advance.

iphone 5 issues hopefully have an easy solution. advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it.  I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already. P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

My battery is discharged too fast, as the manual says i charged for the first time a couple of hours ago.. but in 3 hours has been discharged...now i have a 78% battery...without any use..no calls no message no games..i deactivated the 3g option...and im not using any app right now..no pics no music etc...may i need to contact support? this iphone is new..i buy this phone last week..

HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iPhone 5 and it says 'iPhone disabled please connect to iTunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have iTunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded iTunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.Is there any way I can get my photos back?Can Apple get them back for me?Please help  

iPhone 5 Lock Button Not Working

The lock button on my iPhone 5 has stopped working... I don't live near an Apple store, and my free 90-day AppleCare deal is up.  I would like to avoid paying money for a one-time incident to use AppleCare, so is there a way for me to send in my iPhone in instead of visiting a store?  Or are there other options at all?  Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Really hot iPhone iPhone 5

I just bought an iPhone 5 this past Friday for my first smartphone with Verizon, and I have been pretty happy with it so far, though I haven't been using it too heavily. Today, I had it with me all day long, and it seemed like the more I used it, it got pretty hot. Even hot to the point where I couldn't hold it in my hand in an air conditioned room. When this started to happen, I noticed a small spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen that turned yellow, almost like a sunspot. Seeing that, I turned it off for a bit, then turned it back on, and it was still there. I then didn't touch it for awhile, let it cool down, and when it did, the spot disappeared.  So I brought it back to vErizon where i brought it, and by that time it colled off and the spot gone, so they couldn't help me, but they did say to bring it to the Apple store and they can plug it in to see how hot it has been in the past. Is there any way that I can look at this myself rather than driving the distance to go to one, because there's not one incredibly close to me. Also, has anyone heard about this spot before?  I'm worried about the heat output of these thigns because when my Otterbox comes in the mail, i'm worried about that heating up then shutting itself down, because my iPod does that from time to time in it's Defender. Thoughts? Thanks

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of ITunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

I bought it in January. I just can't believe that my iPhone wil not synchronize with my iTunes anymore. And every time the battery gets low, i will have to turn it off and wait it to be full charged, so i can start to use again. Does anyone here had the same problem??

My phone volume goes down and ringer icon comes up and stays on blocking view. buttons are not stuck. Why this appending and how I fix it. iPhone

Why does my iPhone volume  ringer icon come on by itself, the volume gets turned down on its own then the icon stays on and blocks my view. It also will at any time make any screen switch to large pictures that I can only see a small portion of screen at a time. I have tried too tap screen to make it go back to normal and nothing happens. I then try to turn it off. After several tries I am successful Its hard slide power off button because only a small section is showing. What is happening? How do I fix this?

My sister and myself are getting each others text messages. Help Hard Question iPhone

This whole problem started when I first got my Iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new Iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! This problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a Iphone 4s btw. With my old Iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! This is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

I requested for my iPhone 4 to be unlocked nearly 3 weeks ago and I still haven't recieved confirmation email to say it has been successful

My boyfriend upgraded to an iPhone 5 recently and decided to give me his old iPhone 4, but i'm on Vodafone and his iPhone is locked to Orange.  So he rang up Orange to request an unlock which cost £20 and the guy said it could take upto 28days (which seems a long time to unlock a phone) The guy at Orange said the reason for this is that the unlock has to be done by Apple (which makes sense) and so my iphone would go on a list and once it reaches the top of that list it will be done - (is this true?)  It's been 3 weeks and my boyfriend still hasn't recieved an email to say the unlock has been successful. I'm starting to get impatient as I didn't think it would actually take the full 4 weeks to process(i know it hasn't been 28 days yet...) - but it's looking like it will take that long at this rate... if it gets unlocked at all! I would also like to know if my iPhone 4 has been jailbroken in the past - will this prevent the phone being unlocked by apple?  Any help or advice would be great

I want to start over iPhone

So I got my iPhone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iPhone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iPhone to ONLY my computer... When I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). Long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. When I do have my iPhone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... Anything helps... Thank you.

How stop connect to itunes to use push notifications iPhone 3G

Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iPhone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to iTunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iPhone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. I have no clue how to fix this so please help me. Ps. I dont want to have to restore my iPhone because last time i lost the backup Thank you so much if you help me.~eva_needs_help

Why no international warranty option for iPhone 5

Why is there not an option available to extend the iPhone warranty to an international warranty? Especially with a phone that you tend to take with you whenever you travel having to go to the country you bought it originally is a pain and sometimes not feasible. In my case : when I travelled from Hong Kong to a business trip in the Netherlands and then on to the US my iPhone 5 got stolen at the airport in Hong Kong. luckily I only had a prepaid SIM for Hong Kong in the iPhone so I went online and ordered a new simlock free  iPhone 5 at the Dutch online Apple store to be delivered in Amsterdam a few days later. So far, so good. I am currently in China and my iPhone 5 sleep button broke down. As I had to be in Hong Kong last week I thought I would stop by the Causeway Bay Apple Store after making a genius bar appointment. They checked the iPhone 5 and confirmed the sleep button was broken and it would be swapped for a new one. However on checking my serial number they told me I had to go back to The Netherlands to get it fixed.... So here is a problem, I am not planning on being there any time soon. Why is it not possible in the global economy we live in to get an international warranty?  I called Apple Care and they suggested I could try in an Apple store in North Carolina where I am due in a few weeks, but they could not guarantee they would swap the phone. Now the end of July  I am due in the UK and from what I read now an iPhone bought in any EU country could be swapped in another EU country. so that would mean I could swap it in London?  Very odd.  Always travel with my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and these do have international warranty.

Screen display problems LCD iPhone 5

I bought an iPhone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iPhone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . When I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iPhone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iPhone

I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

iPhone charger won't charge phone but will charge iPad iPhone 4S

I have multiple chargers for both my iPhone and iPad. Every time I need to charge one of them I have to swap adapters AND cords until I find a pair that works.  For example;  my iPad was charging with regular adaptor and cord, but I needed to charge my iPhone.  When I hooked it up to the charger nothing happened. Samething with car chargers. I do see sometimes it will say accessory is not supportd with this device, but why wounldnt it be?  Thats what its made for!  I have like 10 different chargers so it's getting frustrating.  That's enough info, so if u know please help me

iPhone 5's sleepwake button not working properly

Hi, I've had my iPhone 5 16gb since November last year. I bought it straight from Apple. For the last week my sleep/wake button hasn't been working as it should. It works fine when pushed on the left side of the button but only occasionally works when pushed from the right side.It's frustrating because I don't live near an Apple store and I hear that doing it over the phone and getting them to pick it up takes a long time.It's still usable for now, just annoying because it doesn't always go off. I'd be grateful for any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advanced,Ben

My battery life on my iPhone 5 terrible HELP

Hello, this is my first time on a forum like this so I don't really know what to expect but basically the reason why I am here today is because of the fact that my iPhone's battery is excuse my french, dog s***. I'm 16 years old almost 17 and I haven't had any problems with my other iPhone's before (iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S) I charge it at 100% in the morning, so I leave it all night from 1% the previous night and then I get up and without even using it, it's at 95% already. Now the thing you're going to say is have you tried:  Turning off 3G/LTE - YESTurning off Wi-Fi - YESBluetooth - YESLocation Service's - YESPush Email - YESMessing with the brightness - YESRe-setting the phone several times (LOL) - YES  I honestly don't see why it is draining this much, I have like 10 apps and all of them are ones that don't send much data, nor recieve much. You know the usual Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc etc.  If someone could possibly help me I will be the happiest man alive!!! Thanks-Ed

Iphone 4S Wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my WIFI slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my Wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a WIFI-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole Iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting Iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your WIFI. The Iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.

iPhone Autoplay doesn t start automatically

When I plug my iPhone 4s up to my Windows 7 64bit PC It is detected by the PC and iTunes, but it does not start AutoPlay. I have checked all the basics, making sure autoplay is set to "ask me everytime" the device is plugged up. yet it does not do this. I have reset to defaults on the phone as well as on my PC. AutoPlay still does not come up. This is mainlty an inconvience but still, it SHOULD just work and it doesnt. So any suggestions besides what I've already tried would be awesome. Thanks for your time.

Charger issues iPhone 5

I'm having problems charging my iPhone 5.  The charger sits in the dock but does not charge. If I wiggle the end of the cable, it charges but only if I hold it there - unfortunately I don't have the time to sit charging my phone by hand for 3 hours a day! It is not the cable that is the problem as it does not work with any other chargers in the house. I have an appointment at the Genius bar on the weekend but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

iPhone 5 Audio Port Issue

When I'm in my car listening to music from my phone with an audio jack it sounds great. But when I plug it in to charge at the same time you get a loud static noise. Does anyone have anything that might fix this? Also I think it's probably from the audio jack and the charging port being so close together.

Iphone 5 wifi drops every time I stream BT Home Hub router

Ok this is the second iPhone 5  I've had and I'm having the same issue as the one I've just replaced, the phone is dropping the wifi connection whenever anything is streaming, i.e. YouTube, NetFllix, Podcsts etc... Apple support said it may be my router but every other device in the house is fine, iPad 2, iPod Touch my wifes iPhone 4 and my Macbook. My question is could it be an incopatability issue with my BT Home  Hub 2 router and iPhone 5? I've tried all of the troubleshooting suggested by apple support but the issue continues. I've also tried other possibilities from this and other forums and nothing seems to fix the issue. I'm opening a new thread because of the significance of the router which I think my be the problem but have no idea to be honest. I wished I'd kept my old iphone 4 it was solid and the battery life on this new phone is just shocking! Any help or ideas would be appreciated cheers

I took taxi n when I alight , my phone drop inside taxi. Very confirm that after alighting I never go anywhere n standing at same place and waiting for my friend. I know the taxi number also n I realized that I lost phone about 5 minutes time so call my phone and check . First ringing but never answer, but second off the phone already. iPhone screen stuck whilst updating OS on iPhone 4 with error 6

Whilsy updating my iPhone4 OS,I get an error. Now my phone is is stuck and iTunes keeps asking to do recovery from backup and fails each time I have tried to do this. I have uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes twice and gone through the recovery instruction several times into the early hours of the morning I have googled for solution but to no avail. can anyone help! ThanksMamakuba

message on my iphone 4s delivered late and I can t receive calls for some time

It's almost 6 months since I've encountered this problem. I already requested my carrier to have my iphone 4s replacedand a series of testing was done to my iphone 4s before they found out this it was defective. Now, I have my new iphone 4s but the same problem was again encountered. The message delivered late and sometimes messages aren't received at all. Though I have a complete network bar as seen on the upper corner of the screen, incoming calls aren't received and outof coverage area. Hope you can help me on this.

Problem sending photos via text with iPhone 5

I have an iPhone 5 as well.I have noticed that in bad cell service, photos 95% of the time don't send.Is bad cell service your issue?

vodafone issues iPhone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Retrievesync iMessages from iPad to iPhone

Hi everyone, I have an interesting situation going on here.  Today, I had my iPhone replaced due to an issue at the Apple store in Las Vegas. I have an iPad in addition to my iPhone. Prior to the replacement, my iPad and iPhone were fully synced in iMessage. Now, however, after setting this up again, I have lost all of my messages on my iPhone. They are still, however, in my iPad. How can I get them to sync back with my iPhone? I also had my iPhone replaced once before, and I believe it synced right back and I didn't have this problem then (although I didn't have the iPad with me at the time, so that is weird); I don't remember how I did it though.  Hoping to get some help with this, thanks in advance!

How to create custom Ringtones m4r files from Songs in iTunes iPhone

Jakarta, 14 June 2013On Mac OS : 10.7.5 (Lion)On iTunes : 11.0.4Difficulty : intermediate - hard Assuming you know basic Ctrl+Click and Option+Drag... Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. What can I iPhone 4

I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iPhone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results. My iPhone 5 keeps freezing.

My  iPhone 5 keeps freezing and my screen remains black for a period of time.

keyboard click ringtone notification sound and sounds in some apps not work I turned it off and back on it worked for one click on keyboard then went out iPhone 4

iPhone 4 sound won't work on ringtones, notifications, and keyboard click. I turned the phone off waited turned it on and it worked one time

My iPhone 5 Isn't Turning On URGENT HELP

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 that's about 5 months old now.I bought in India.My phone died last night coz the battery finished..and i have been trying to charge it ever since and it isn't working..I did everything possible(like a hard reset : Holding the home and power buttons down with various time combinations) and nothing worked, it isnt even turning on(Not even the Apple Logo is being displayed).There has been no external damage to the phone in any aspect.I tried charging it using my computer, a wall adapter and a power bank and NOTHING SEEMS TO WORKSomeone Please HELP!

iphone 5 lock button not working

I get my iphone 5 for only two months and last week i found out that my lock button is not really working. At first i thought it was because of my casing make it not working, after then i took off the casing and then i have to press it hardly or press on the different angle then it just works! so i wonder, the whole lock button works if the iphone don't have any problem？ or some angle we press may not respond?it still working most of the time now just i wonder can i get the new one under warranty? when i press the wrong angle, it takes me few seconds to lock my iphone i am feeling like how come i use only for two months such problem can accur ;( pls help!

transfer address book to iPhone iPhone 4S

I have been having trouble with my iPhone - sudden decrease in battery life, apps not working, Wifi not working, iCloud not working (don't ask me why, but when I go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and back up, the toggle is off and greyed out, giving me no option to turn it on). I was advised to back the iPhone up on my mac, reset the iPhone to factory settings and then restore it from the Mac.  So, all my apps have come over, but none of my contacts, SMS's, nothing. I can probably live without the SMS's but it will take me a long time to re-enter all my contacts.  However, they are all still in the Mac.  But I can't work out how to get the Mac to send the addresses back to the iPhone.   As previously stated, the iCloud doesn't work, so I can't use that.  I looked through previous entries and the advice was: Open iTunes. Connect the iPhone. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Info tab in the main window. Check the Contacts box then sync. However, when I do this it say in contacts "your contacts are being synched with your iPhone over the air, over-the-air sync settings can be changed on the iPhone" But I don't want them synched over the air, because over the air (I assume this is iCloud) isn't working.  How do I set it (either iTunes or the iPhone) so that it synches, via USB cable, with the contacts on my Mac? I am totally, utterly confused and a bit cross as I am now worse off then before I reset the phone and was told that it would just back up from the computer.  And even more annoyed when I know the data I want is all still there (on the Mac in address book), I just can't drag it across.

iPhone 5 conversation delay

I recently got the iPhone 5 from Tmobile. It's my first iPhone and I've been enjoying the features very much. The only problem I've noticed, and it's rather annoying, is a 4-5 second speech delay. I called Tmobile and had them send me a new one, hoping this was simply a defect of the particular phone. But I've just set up my new iPhone  and it has the same problem. I've spoken to numerous people on Verizon, Tmobile, Sprint, AT&T, and landlines and have experienced this problem with each conversation. I have done this is different areas of my home as well as different areas around town with the same results.I've had many of them repeat words or phrases after I've finished speaking and the delay is always 4 or 5 seconds. Because of this, conversation is difficult. There is a lot of speaking at the same time due to this delay and I find it very frustrating. Before I call Tmobile about this phone, I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this issue. Is it a tmobile problem or an iPhone problem.

Updating multiple iPhone s

Hey all I work in an Apple reseller. We often do iOS updates for customers on their iPhones or iPads. Everytime I do an update for a customer, iTunes downloads the software update. I was wondering if it was possible to downlaod it once, and always use that file (until a newer iOS is released). Just seems an inconvenience that I have to redownload the software every single time. Any advice appreciated

No S Card Installed on iphone 5

My iphone5 has been randomly giving me a "No SIM Card Installed" message occasionally over the past 2 days. Usually it goes away if I touch the screen but the last time I noticed there was a "No SIM" message where the Sprint bars should be before I hit the home button. After that it worked fine. This is troubling because my first 5 had the same problem the day after I got it. Apple replaced it after trying other things like changing out the SIM Card. They decided it had a defective card reader. And this phone is only a month or 2 old, the replacement phone messed up its sleep button after about 8 months.  Is this a problem that I don't need to worry about or a sign of imminent failure? I can't get to the Apple Store this week and I'm taking a trip on Wednesday and really need my phone.   Thanks!

Voice control activate automaticly. Then home buttton doesn't respond iPhone 4

Hi Team, The voice control on my iphone4 will activate on it's own without pressing the home button. This wil continue until i shut down the phone. When this happens my homebutton doesn't work. or some time my homebutton does'nt work. any solution for that. Thanks in advance !

Hi, Why after restoring to iOS 6.1.3 my iphone 4 changes his color in itunes. In oder for him to show a White iPhone he's showing me a Black each time I connect it. Can someone please help me. Thanks
