I would like to update my Iphone 3GS 8 gb phone from 5.1.1 to newer version software 6.1.3

I want to update my Iphone 3GS from 5.1.1 to the new software 6.1.3, but I am scared I might lose stuff. I have heard good things about the new software where it's faster and the battery life is great and amazing. And would like it updated to the IOS 6.1.3. I haven't had any issues with my phone other than when I last updated my phone quite a long time ago, I lost all of my stuff, but got it back except for my contacts. Thankfully I had all of my contacts written down on a piece of paper. Is there someone who can guide me a easy way, If i update my iphone 3GS 8gb to the new software 6.1.3 so i don't lose any of my apps, contacts, etc off my phone. Please. Is there a easier way of doing this update so i don't lose anything off my phone? HELP!! PLEASE!!

I just got the iPhone 5 last month. I did an OS upgrade not too long ago. My phone seems to be draining very quickly. Twice I thought it was because some how, a number was called and I thought the line may have stayed open a good long time. Now I don't know. Hi guys i got my iPhone 5 about 2 week after launch and about 3 weeks later i lost all sound clicks from text's, game apps, YouTube wouldn't play any videos and it worked perfectly fine when i went to bed wake up in the morning to this.  I rebooted the phone and this resolved the issue, the phone was not in silent mode via settings or via the slider at the top of the phone.  the phone would be working fine for about 3 weeks then this would happen again same issues as above this went on till about the 14th December and Apple decided to change my phone now its happening again.  I am at a lose end does anybody know a fix or heard of this before as i am sure this problem could not happen too 2 different phones ?  Thanks

Last night the screen of my phone 4 slowly went black. I tried charging it while hard resetting it but that did not help. also tried just resetting it but nothing with that either. I tried to chat with Itunes but couldn't becasue I cannot get the serial number. I do not have an sd tray nor can I use the screen. It is not printed on the back of the device not is it connecting to Itunes so I can get it from there.

#I just received my BRAND NEW, SEALED, iPhone4 32 GB FACTORY UNLOCKED which I bought from Ebay. After unboxing, I switched on the phone to find that it was already activated, and did NOT show the "Connect to iTunes" screen, which gave me doubts whether this phone is actually brand new, the phone does have that protective film on the front and back which normally comes with brand new iPhones, anyhow I went online and did some intense research and found interesting facts about the serial number, and from my understanding the phones with serial numbers starting with 5K could be a refurbished phone, and indeed my supposedly BRAND NEW iPhone which came in a sealed retail box with all accessories does have a 5K serial number, so I did some more googling and came across a web site which gives details about an iPhone with its serial number and it shows this phone is a refurbished one. I checked on Apple website for warranty and it says "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contactus."  #Now all you good knowledgeable people out there, please please shed some light on this matter.Is this really a genuine brand new phone? When I contacted the seller regarding     the phone being already activated, he said it is normal with phones     which are factory unlocked. But I believe it is actually supposed to     show  - “Connect to iTunes” screen. That was how it was with my     iPhone 3G. At least right out of a brand new box. Am I correct? How can a refurbished iPhone come in a     sealed retail box? Even if that was the case, would it cost the same     as a normal brand new FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone because I paid US $     904.00 for this. Does Apple sell refurbished iPhones as     new? What confuse me is that the box have all the labels intact as     it was a sealed box, and the serial number and IMEI number match     with the actual phone. Should I consider this a genuine     product that Apple meant to sell as it is or better I go for a claim     and either get a refund or replacement from the seller on Ebay?.   Thank you very much in advance for all your kind help and insights. After ios 6.1.3 my battery is getting worse!Yesterday I switched off my phone with 30-32% of battery, this mornig I switched on and the battery was 20%: during the night it lost about 10% of charge without using it!And another problem is the recharge of battery: now the battery recharge in about an hour from 5% to 100%, before the update was about 2,5-3 hours.What can I do?When will apple solve this problem with a new upgrade??

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iPhone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

My iphone 4 has just completed my two year contract with vodafone. However in this time my phone broke and I used apple to repair it. Which in fact is actually a switch service. So now I have a different imei number than what I started with. I rang vodafone to unlock my phone, but they say they can't and there is nothing they can do as the phone was not issued by them. I also can't seem to find a way to unlock my phone via apple. So what can I do??Any help would be awesome!

Today I completed a software update for my iPhone 5 without backing it up because I did not receive a warning that all my data would be erased and so, did not realize it would be an issue. Upon completing the update, I realized my mistake but figured it was too late to revert the damage and continued with the restoration of my phone to its factory settings. After completing the update, I realized just how much data was lost (including important notes with financial information and images and videos of recent trips around Europe). Now I am desperate to try to recover the data deleted in the update. Is there any chance at all that I can recover something? The notes and videos are most important to me. I am also missing many Messages but that is less important to me. Can anyone please help? Any response is greatly appreciated!

Hi there, I've suffering from a call receving problem which is - Example -  I have a contact saved at my phone "Mr. A" - 01619001234 [country code not present]But when i got call then it comes for - +88 01619001234, so its not showing Mr. A is calling. There are some numbers on my contact which contains country code (+88) and some of them not. iPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode. Error code-1 .

I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!

I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue?  I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iPhones instead. Package and product number differ iPhone 5

I bought the iPhone 5 from  Star One Mobile in Sim Lim Square Singpore recently. After reaching my place , just found that the  serial number and IMEI number in my iPhone 5 product and the packaging box are different. When I check on the website the packaging number shows the product is replaced but the number in product shows valid. Can some one explain the difference?I did not anticipate an Apple product having a difference in serial and IMEI number  from the packaging --- probable that the Star one mobile could have changed the package?

iOS 6.1.4 Battery Drain We need FIX APPLE iPhone 5

I have lost count of how many times I have been away from my office, looked down at my phone, saw anywhere between 10-30% battery life, and then a few minutes later have my phone go into shutdown mode.  This is absolutely RIDICULOUS and it needs to be fixed now!   Has anyone from Apple responded to this? My IPhone wont turn on after updating

My Iphone 4G was updating to the latest i.OS software on itunes (on my windows computer). As usual, my phone had to restart. It turned off, but as it was turning on (when the screen just shows that silver apple logo) an error message came up on itunes saying that it couldnt update the software (I forgot to get the error number). But my phone is stuck with that silver apple logo on it. My computer tells me to restore my phone, which I tried, but everytime I do that, itunes says "extracting software" and then it says "preparing to restore" then it comes up with an error message (number 2009). I have tried restarting my computer. My phone is stuck like this. What should I do? Please help!

Fixed my phone but display still doesn't work iPhone 4S

4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay).  Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again.  What could be broken?

lost Mode Alarm continues-I found my iPhone 5

Hi.  Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into lost Mode, sent the message and Played Sound.  Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking.  Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!!  What a relief!!  Cancelled lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc.  HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!!  I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off.  All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem.  It should be cancelled!   Why does the alarm still go off?  Can anyone help please? Many thanks Susan

Okay so first my iPhone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iPhone 5 and restored my old settings to the iPhone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iPhone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

My phone will not restore properly iPhone 4S

I just bought a second hand (perfect condition) iPhone 4S today, the user sold it because they had upgraded to an iPhone 5. The previous user did not restore the phone they just deleted all of their previous data (contacts, pictures, applacations, they left their 1,100 songs though), so I planned on restoring it later tonight to start fresh. I had it activated to my phone number at the Verizon store on my way to a family party and used it throughout today but put barely anything onto it knowing I would be restoring it tonight. I got home and plugged it into my laptop and went to iTunes found "Emily's iPhone" and then hit the restore button like normal, it worked perfectly fine and went the whole 14 minutes it said it had to. Then my phone went to the "connect to iTunes" screen when it was already connected. I checked to make sure everything was plugged in correctly, and it all was perfectly fine. I tried the manual reboot (holding the home and lock buttons for a few seconds) and all it does is shut off and bring me to the same "connect to iTunes screen".. someone please tell me how I can restore my phone! Thank you,    Emily

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

Weather app showing wrong day and temperature iPhone 3G

When I check the weather in the notification tray and in the built-in weather app it says it's Sunday and the temperature is 45 degrees where I am.  That's incorrect.  It's Thursday and 67 degrees.   I also tried weather for major cities and it's showing the wrong day and temperature for them as well.  I checked Yahoo Weather and that data is correct.  I restarted my phone and at some point it showed the wrong data for my town in the local weather page, but the correct weather when I manually added my town, but when refreshing it's wrong for both. There's a number of complaints on Twitter about this.   What's going on?  How can Yahoo's weather be correct, but the iPhone's wrong since the iPhone weather app uses data from Yahoo?
