Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iPhone 4S
I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

Problems with syncing iPhone 5
I have Iphone 5 and try to sync it with my computer (Windows 7 Max.). I have already installed ITunes and verified my computer in AppStore. But anyway I have problems with syncing applications. For example, I've downloaded Translator and tried to install it to Iphone. I've clicked "Sync" in window "Programs", but it goes only up to the third step from four and fails. In window rights it is shown, that this program is already installed, but when I turn off my Iphone from computer, I check and can see, that programs were not installed.My computer is also already verified, so that I can connect it with Iphone. In common settings on Iphone I have already turned on restrictions so that I can install applications. Could you tell me what should I do? I hope that someone had the same problem.

1. Starting on April 24th my iMessage option stopped working. When I would send a text to another iphone user they wouldn't receive the text. I turned that option off and sent test text messages - they went through. Turned iMessage back on - and nothing was received. Does anyone know why that would be happening? It is rather frustrating when a needed function does not work. 2. Also, I can not receive picstures over text anymore. I can receive them when I open my messenger program on my laptop, but nothing over text. Does anyone know what is going on with these issues?!

Imagine the horror in finding out that you were sitting there on the toilet gaming and someone was watching you the whole time or better yet, while you were involved in an intimate interaction while your phone sat charging on a dock on the nightstand next to the bed? How about knowing that every incoming and outgoing communication is recorded and documented for the creep to scroll and read through like a book? This is some scary stuff, and it's been used on me via an encrypted picture message. I've done a full restore of my iPhone and the pc used for backing up via iTunes to ensure that the spyware wasn't then rooted into the pc or the iTunes, and was even told to create an etirely new Apple ID, but aside from this and there being no true scanning software for malware, spyware or viruses for the iPhone-how can I be sure that this encrypted software has truly been eradicated? Transfer photos back and forth to OS X WITHOUT iPhoto or iTunes iPhone 3G
I googled to no end, searched Apple support forums endlessly and you know what? Not a single simple answer can seem to be given without being redirected to something that simply does not answer THIS very specific question. Is it, or is it not possible to quickly transfer photos DIRECTLY *FROM* and *INTO* the Camera Roll WITHOUT iTunes or iPhoto? Simple question yes? lol. NOPE. Reason why I ask can be simply described in short: iTunes 11.0.2, running iPhone iOS 6.1; Clicking "Photos" from my iPhone via iTunes, gives me ONE single option; "Sync photos from". Tried keeping it real simple. Make a folder on the desktop called iPhone Photos just for quickly transfering photos back and forth and chose to synch from that. 18 photos to test. Just crap from the internet. Nothing major. Know what it does? For one, it takes 3 minutes or so to sync 18 whole photos, which is stupid but whatever. But here's the BEST part, none get sent to my Camera Roll, oh no, it makes TWO entirely new folders under it in my iPhone. One being the one I made on my desktop, and the other is called Photo Library, and get this, BOTH of these have the same 18 pictures lmao. Yup. Why? Oh who cares at this point. I really just do not care. Apple. All that needs to be said. And as for iPhoto. It's just an unnecessary useless program I have no intentions of ever needing. Why? I keep a crap load of various types of photos in organized folders in my Finder, and iPhoto likes making sure it takes 3x longer to do that. It really just does. Now back on point. what happened to the good old friggin days when all you had to do was DRAG AND DROP?!?!?! I legitimately am getting cancer from pondering this question. Is there not a way to simply drag from Camera Roll somehow to the iMac, like say a specified folder. And Vice Versa from the iMac straight to Camera Roll? A nice workaround to get FROM Camera Roll TO iMac specified folder is "Image Capture" which does exactly just THAT. Quickly and painlessly transfer STRAIGHT FROM AND TO wherever. This is ridiculous. At this point, I'd pay 50 bucks for a simple app to quickly drag and drop from and to Camera Roll and bam. Done. Sorry for the book, but this is getting ******** trying to get an answer to this and thought I would deem it necessary to be as descriptive as humanly possible. Looking for simple answers if possible, but at least descriptive. Thanks.

I was trying to recover a deleted text message and used Wondershare Dr. Fone to load previously deleted messages. I didn't find the message that I was looking for, but when I went back to my "desktop" - all my apps were rearranged and there was a photo I had set as the background 2 years ago. When I opened their program again to try and restore my desktop, I was prompted to purchase their software, which I cannot affort to do. Like many people, I rely on my phone almost as much as an extra appendange and am clueless as to how I can recover my icloud, apps, etc without spending any money. Do you have any suggestions. Today I updated my phone to IOS 6.1.3 from 6.1.2 and now I cannot restore any of my backup files. I plugged my phone into iTunes and it asked me to update and restore (like usual) (I may have the wording off a little) and I got an error message saying the back up file is not compatible or corrupt. Basically it has IOS 6.1.3 now and won't restore anything. It says it is a valid back up file in iTunes but gives me error after about 20 minutes. Please help I have been googling and looking on here for hours and cannot find a resolution. I just got back from vacation today and have lost all of the pictures I took last week If there is no help does anyone at least know a good program to restore from the back up so I can get my pictures?? When will Apple and AT&T figure out a way to disable cellular data when connected to WiFi? My phone uses large chunks of cellular data every evening when connected to wifi. AT&T says to turn cellular data off each night. That's crazy to ask your customers to do something that should automatically happen. I'm not a techie, but this should be an easy fix.

I usually get a 3014 error but sometimes it gets past the USB screen and goes about halfway through the apple screen and gets a -1 error. I don't have firewalls, no antivirus, the only thing I have is a mandatory college internet connection program that I don't think I can get rid of. what should I do Also, I already tried to "Hold both home and power button, let go of the home button at the apple screen" but it didn't work.

Hello, Apple user's, I am a 15yr old with a passion for computers & design. Anyways I am interested in developing for the iPhone, as I'll be getting one in a few months. I've never really developed any type of games before, but am in a game design school magnet, and want to begin to learn how to program as I've been meaning to for a while now. I'm interested in developing for the iPhone, and know I need a Mac, Objective-c knowledge as well as XCode knowledge, and a $99 Subscription to be able to sell and test my apps. So here's some questions I've been wanting to ask for awhile...1. Would you recommend a Mac-Mini ? I see i5 Mac mini's on craigslist going for around $400-$450, and know I could afford that. I switch between my mom/dad's house weekly, and have a Windows based desktop that I built w/ monitor at each house, So I'm thinking i could just bring a small Mac-Mini back and forth with me, as they're pretty small.2. Could you guy's point me towards some nice Objective-C or XCode tutorials or books? I've just started spring break and want to take advantage of the time off.3. I'm only 15, so how would I go about selling apps, Ill probably have mostly free apps but would like to incorporate paid versions too, and I know i need to be 18 to sign a contract, would i just get my mom to sign the contract, and if she gets taxed extra I would just pay her the amount she was taxed ? (BTW, I'm in FL)4. How would I sell apps under a company name, I've heard of people trying to list apps and it saying they're real name instead of a company / made up name. There are obvious reasons I'd like to sell an app under a company name, no one wants to buy an app from a company named, for example "Steve". It pretty much set's your app up for failure. Would I have to register all kinds of legal crap just to make it say a developer name like, for example " FunTide Apps".5. Mail only working over Cellular no WiFi Networks. iPhone 3G
A couple of days ago my Mail service at home stopped working. I only can receive Emails when I switch off WiFi and use my AT&T 4G. At home I am using a whole Apple enviorment and all my devices (iPad mini (6.1.1), iPhone 4S (6.1.2), iPad (5.1.1), MacBook Pro (10.8.2)) can not receive Emails. When I am going to iCloud.com I can send and receive mails on my Mac, but over the OS X Mail.app and iOS Mail.app nor receiving nor sending works. I am using several Accounts on all deveices (iCloud, Yahoo!, Google and AOL) most of them are not working, only AOL received one mail yesterday. My first thought was of course the WiFi network which might have problems with the Apple Mail program, but I already tried another network with my iPhone. In this other network I am getting an error on my iPhone which tells me "Cannot get Mail. Connection to server failed." On my Mac at home mail.app tells me that my account are offline and that there might be a problem with iCloud, for more information visit iCloud support etc. Yes I did restart my deveices, yes I tried deleting and adding the mail account, yes I tried restarting the WiFi and yes I did that with iOS and OS X.

So basically, anyone that chooses to upgrade their software, risk messing up their access to wifi and have to pay the developer of the software to fix the problem, their program caused. Does anyone have a clue how to fix this. Why wasn't I informed of the risks that could occur if I updated my device.

I have used VIBER on my previous i4 and than on my i4s with success.I have had my i5 now for 2-3 months and succesfully loaded and used VIBER again.Today I have been trying to use VIBER and the App is crashing. I noticed problems of other kinds since I downloaded the latest iPhone iO6 Software 6.1The program will open and let me see everything. Than the App crashes and I have to restart the VIBER App with getting the same results.I deleted and re-installed the APP with the result that while setting up the App the program crashes.Please help?
Iphone still stuck on logo after restore
Ok so here is what happened:I jailbroke my iphone 4 IOS 6.1, then reloaded the springboard. The phone was then stuck in an infinite boot loop, constantly rebooting and not progressing past the Apple logo. My computer and itunes were both able to recognize the phone, so I chose to restore the phone in DFU mode. The restore (according to iTunes) went through every step until completed. I can still open all the iphone files with itunes, see my music, apps, contacts, all that good stuff. Even download music to iTunes so it surely isn't that program. However, the phone still can't get past the logo! I can shut it off and put it into DFU mode, and iTunes can still restore the phone, but still no response from the idevice. Have I missed a step? Is there anything I can do to wake it up before replacing it? I can still access everything on it with my itunes so I don't want to replace it if it is still hanging in there for me...

My contacts were slow to load and so I deleted a lot of extra emails that were slowing down my mail program. Then, I restarted my phone and my mail app wouldn't open! I couldn't even click in settings/mail, contacts, calendars. It didn't go anywhere. So, I did a backup to itunes and restored my phone, but the mail app still isn't working! I was lucky enough to get an iPhone 5 this AM and I'm trying to set up a song as a ringtone. I've followed the old instructions - created AAC version, changed file extension to M4R, etc. Despite this, the song doesn't appear on the list of ringtones. Is there some new trick I need to know? I'd like to have an option besides the standard ringtones preloaded on the phone. One thing I noticed - I renamed the file by adding .m4r but Windows still identifies it as an M4A file. Do I need a file conversion program to do this instead of simply renaming the file? Thanks, Chris

I updated my iPhone to the new software, something went wrong and iTunes told me to install new version of iTunes and reboot the phone. So I did, but now all my previous backups are gone! Of course I'm so stupid, that I didn't have backup on the PC or iCloud. I trusted the iTunes-backup so much. iPhone 5 iOS6 Battery Drain Experience Initial when I first got my iPhone 5 I was pretty happy with the battery life on it, I thought nice it lasts a decent amount of time. Typical usage was surfing the net, listen to some music and check my email. My trouble began is when I changed my contract to a new supplier with LTE and an unlimited data plan, this is when I went into my settings and turned on iCloud and LTE. The following morning I unplugged my phone and went to work, normally my battery would easily last all day with 40% ish left, within 5 hours I was down to 12%. Not good luckily I had ordered another power cable from Apple and it had arrived just in time! It’s basically linked to the Exchange server calendar: I performed a full reset.Switched my exchange account from “push” to “manual”, I haven’t seen a crash log on this anymore (7 days now). https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2145413?start=0&tstart=0 MobileMail process – Additional to my work exchanger server email I also have yahoo and gmail mail on my iPhone, I never really found out what this was exactly related to but my fix was to have some common sense:I turned off “Contacts / Calenders / Reminders / Notes” on my yahoo / gmail accounts and only used the iCloud ones, I believe there was some interference/clash of some sort and only using “Contacts / Calenders / Reminders / Notes” from one source helped me resolve the MobileMail process issue.Switched my yahoo / gmail accounts “push” to “manual” also, I believe “Fetch” causes no issue either. iCloud Issues – Swtiching on iCloud on its own wasn’t really the issue, I have all the options on and with push settings without much battery drain. But when I reviewed my crash logs I found another two crash processes “PocketPlanes” / “Toshl”, these are two of the apps have backup to iCloud options enabled automatically and it seems they were trying to backup all day!I simply disabled there iCloud backup or limited the backup to occur when wi-fi was available. 2. Medium Battery Drainer – LTE – Super fast connection but my office seems to be in an area that causes my iPhone to continuously switch between LTE and 3G networks, this I noticed was causing a drain on my battery.Switch LTE off if you note the switching issue, it’s not really needed when your phone is in standby. Switch it back on if you want to use the full speed. 3. Other Battery Drainers – These are further tweaks I found useful and have made some difference to battery life:Settings / Wi-Fi – Some noticeable gains with this turned off while no Wi-Fi is around.Settings / Bluetooth – This was switched on automatically on my iPhone from factory, switch on only when you need it.Settings / General / About / Diagnostics & Usage / Diagnostics & Usage Data – “Don’t Send” ticked, this would save you data and power.Settings / Location Services – I have most of these ticked “On”, only one I have “Off” is passbook. I don’t have many passbook items and the ones I have self-generated seems to keep triggering the location services program to keep pinging my location every time I unlock the phone. This is not needed so I’ve turned it to “Off”.Settings / Location Services / System Services – I’ve turned most of the options to “Off”, I found that each process had ran at least once in the last 24 hours and they are all basically collecting information for apple and not really enriching the experience for the user. Once you’ve gone through the list you will see the location services arrow a lot less! If you want to found out more I would suggest search the web for each option, it was interesting reading. After resolving all the above issues and doing some minor tweaks I have an iPhone that has very good battery life and does not have itsmain features (iCloud / Location Services) disabled to a point where its not really a smart phone anymore! The key to resolving your battery issues revolve around your crash logs! Hope this helps people resolve their battery issues!
HELP Iphone 3g says Iphone disabled connect to Itunes and waiting fr activation this may take some time
My old Iphone 3g (that does not have service anymore) says "Iphone disabled, connect to itunes, waiting for activation, this may take some time"and it does not allow me to type in a password, when I slide it just allows emergency call. When connected to itunes I tunes says "Itunes could not connect to Iphone because it is locked with a passcode, you must enter you passcode from your phone before it can be used on itunes" but of course the phone doesnt allow me. I am trying to get all my photos and data out of it so I CANNOT AND WILL NOT DO RESTORATION. I do not have any of the phone's data on my itunes, It only has my new iphone 4 data in it. I need help, there must be a way, I ******* payed for this, apple should know how valuable data is. I heard of there is free programs to help extract data, I guess that would be a choice if anyone knows of a good program, thanks.
