I got Iphone5 to give gift to my mom on motherday i bought it from online i have also proof of purchase i go to apple store to book an oppoitment in regent street but i find the guy who treat me very badly first he too my phone go inside the lab after 20 minutes he com back and ask me proof of purchase i showed him after he told me can you come tomrrow we will fix it it will take time i said to him keep my phone for fixation and give me one paper as a receipt after he replied me we will fix it now please wait for 20minutes i said ok after 20 minutes he came back and said we can not fix this because you dont have proof of purchase i said i show you early but he said we dont accept that we cant deal with you.It seems may i criminal the way he treat me or something else i am shocked because next to me there is a lady and she is attractive as well one of apple employe treat such a nice way i feel happy the way he treats him she brings her sister phone the Apple employe change her phone straight way but in my case they ignore me.I dont know what is wrong with me because the way he treats me just ignoring me...i book oppoitment as name of(sazzad ahmed) at regent street time was 8.50 i cant remember the name of your employe because i was shocked the way of him to treat me such a worse thing for me in my life.Every time we preffer apple product because of his warranty services.please do something for me i am lso feeling ashamed this phone was a gift .

iphone 5 not ringing or alerting of texts calls going to voice mail

My iphone 5 recently started having problems with the ringer.  The ringer will be turned all the way up, the mute button is NOT being used and the phone will not ring for calls or alert for texts.  It is not always happening, but more so than not.  I have tried rebooting the phone, the OIS is up to date and I do not have the "Do Not Disturb" set.  I can be in the same spot with LTE and full signal have a call/text that is missed then receive a call/text and it rings.  Does not seem to matter if the call is coming from a land line, same Verizon carrier cell or different carrier cell there is no noticable reason.  Any ideas???

iphone 5 charging problem

Hi. I have a iphone 5. When I plug my phone In to charge it charges fine but it has to be plugged in perfectly straight. If I move or knock the charging adapter in the phone it will stop charging even though it is still plugged in the phone. The adapter seems like it only can be charged when it is in a certain position. This is obviously a fault. It is not my adapter as I have tried several different ones. There must be something wrong with the charging port on the iphone. What I would like to know would this be coved under apples warranty?

i have selected the sound "update" for my text messages, and it only works intermittently all of a sudden.  i have changed sounds to "minuet" with similar problem.  i have restarted and also reset iphone 5, but still intermittent.

iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iphone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iphone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iphone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

Spyware is very easily accessible and requires nothing from the Apple store, and although I realize some of these posts are several years old-at this point, it is simply misinformation.  All one needs is a similar program to the one in the link above and not only can your sms messages be accessed, your calls be intercepted and recorded, but the camera in your phone can be remotely accessed and activated at any given time without your knowledge.  As you tap away on your handy little iphone you love so much, in whatever possibly "compromising" or embarrassing position you may be in at the time, a creeper can be looking you straight in your face or observing your enviornement at their leisure.  Imagine the horror in finding out that you were sitting there on the toilet gaming and someone was watching you the whole time or better yet, while you were involved in an intimate interaction while your phone sat charging on a dock on the nightstand next to the bed?  How about knowing that every incoming and outgoing communication is recorded and documented for the creep to scroll and read through like a book?    This is some scary stuff, and it's been used on me via an encrypted picture message.  I've done a full restore of my iphone and the pc used for backing up via iTunes to ensure that the spyware wasn't then rooted into the pc or the iTunes, and was even told to create an etirely new Apple ID, but aside from this and there being no true scanning software for malware, spyware or viruses for the iphone-how can I be sure that this encrypted software has truly been eradicated?  Is there an antiviral program that I am unware of?  I'm not looking for a secure AVG browser, I'm looking for a detect and destroy scanner program. <Link Edited by Host>

iphone 5 was stolen

im 2 months into my 24 month contract no insurance as i thought the house insurance covered it but they dont as the phone was stolen from work. So im stuck with a contract for a phone i dont have that some guy now has for free..... I have been using the find my iphone app but it has been offline since? they turned the phone off straight away (as any thief would do)After doing some research i came to know that the find my iphone app doesnt work if the phone has been switched off?  Ive reported the theft to police they have CCTV footage but cant track the theives! Isnt there anything that can be done other fork out for a new phone?! I dont understand why an app would be made that does half the job? obviously the first thing a thief would do is turn the phone off? And ive even found out that if they plug the phone into itunes they can jus wipe the handset not impressed. We pay so much for these handsets yet there not even upto scratch with security features. (overpriced? definatley) You would think that with all these updates they come up with they would have done something for the security and tracking. Im disappointed with the what i have found.

aws unlocked iphone 5

I bought a full price Unlocked iphone 5 from Apple back in January to use on straight talk. I had some issues with data on straight talk not being reliable and I had to keep turning data off and on again to get a connection. Now that TMobile is supporting the iphone at the same price as straight talk I figured i'd give them a try - after all that's what having an unlocked phone with no contrat is all about right? I'm a free agent. So i signed up however i don't get 3G anyhere, and my 4G coverage is spotty (talking HSPA+ 4G not LTE). This is because my $599 unlocked phone doesn't have AWS support.  My question is why won't Apple release an update that will allow my identical hardware to work the way the one would if i bought it from TMobile? It's the same A1428 Model, the ony difference is the software.  I really don't have to have to sell my older A1428 to buy a new A1428 from TMobile just to get it to work when it should have anyway.  Can someone respond as to what Apple plans to do about this? Thanks,Andrew

iphone 4s strange colors and jittery screen

My wife has a iphone 4s 16 GB phone that she has had for about 16 months. It is out of warrantee now and go figure now it is having issues with the screen. On a daily basis, the screen shows strange colored lines. But they aren't straight across the screen, they seem to follow borders between different colors, like a contour line. And sometimes the entire image on the screen starts to jitter up and down. These can be temporarily fixed by pressing on the display, typically near the earpiece. I've opened it up and pressed on the display connector to make sure it is in tight, but the issue still shows up. I would think that being able to clear the issue by pressing on the display rules out any software issues, but the way the discoloration behaves is sure strange. Has anyone seen this issue before?

The devices in question are an iphone 5 and a 3rd generation iPad, both run the latest iOS bits available and I am signed in with my Apple Id on both devices.  The behavior I'd like to experience is:the settings (Stations and Podcasts within Stations and particular Podcast settings) set on one device just show up on the other device.both devices show the exact same played, partly-played and unplayed podcasts in their stations. Isn't this the way things should "just work" in the Apple world?  The reason for asking is that my two devices do not seem to talk to each other and cannot locate a way to get them to synchronize. Thank you,  eugen

Cant find my library iphone 3G

I just got back in an iphone after being a Droid guy for a few years and I am having an embarassing noob problem, I cant seem to find my library on my phone. First my laptop that had all my music stored on it died so i went to Bestbuy and got a new one, I signed into itunes and was able to get all of my music from the cloud, as far as "the cloud" is concerned i really no nothing about it other than it knows what I have bought and seems to back them up for me. The next week i got an iphone 5, I set it up on my pc and created a huge playlist and dragged it on over. My problem is that when I open Itunes on my phone it goes straight to the store and I cant seem to find MY library, if I go to MORE it shows DOWNLOADED and PURCHASED which contains the songs from the playlist. I dont know if im having a cloud problem, phone problem, or pc problem, can someone stear me in the right direction please.

I just activated an iphone 4 with straight talk aboout a week or two ago and my internet is not working I have called them many times and they finaly told me to contact apple because all the setting information the phone needs is updated and they think it might be just a setting or something that is not right so the internet access can conect.So I'm wondering if you can help me find ot what that setting is or exactly what is going on with the phone that is not letting me get the internet access. It is working on wifi but not coming up with any internet access from the company.

Question on unlock process for iphone 4

Hello, I have completed my 2-year contract agreement with AT&T and received the instructions for unlocking my iphone 4. My question: My iphone is synced. Now I should do a full backup and restore of the iphone via iTunes, but will this (1) keep all my current apps and (2) affect my current settings, specifically will I need to re-adjust all my individual notifications (alert style, badge app icon, sounds, view in lock screen)? This would be a tremendous chore for me as I currently have 176 applications on my mobile. I appreciate your help with the answer to this. Thank you  Regards, Chuck

Transfer photos back and forth to OS X WITHOUT iPhoto or iTunes iphone 3G

I googled to no end, searched Apple support forums endlessly and you know what? Not a single simple answer can seem to be given without being redirected to something that simply does not answer THIS very specific question. Is it, or is it not possible to quickly transfer photos DIRECTLY *FROM* and *INTO* the Camera Roll WITHOUT iTunes or iPhoto? Simple question yes? lol. NOPE. Reason why I ask can be simply described in short: iTunes 11.0.2, running iphone iOS 6.1; Clicking "Photos" from my iphone via iTunes, gives me ONE single option; "Sync photos from". Tried keeping it real simple. Make a folder on the desktop called iphone Photos just for quickly transfering photos back and forth and chose to synch from that. 18 photos to test. Just crap from the internet. Nothing major. Know what it does? For one, it takes 3 minutes or so to sync 18 whole photos, which is stupid but whatever. But here's the BEST part, none get sent to my Camera Roll, oh no, it makes TWO entirely new folders under it in my iphone. One being the one I made on my desktop, and the other is called Photo Library, and get this, BOTH of these have the same 18 pictures lmao. Yup. Why? Oh who cares at this point. I really just do not care. Apple. All that needs to be said. And as for iPhoto. It's just an unnecessary useless program I have no intentions of ever needing. Why? I keep a crap load of various types of photos in organized folders in my Finder, and iPhoto likes making sure it takes 3x longer to do that. It really just does.  Now back on point. What happened to the good old friggin days when all you had to do was DRAG AND DROP?!?!?! I legitimately am getting cancer from pondering this question.  Is there not a way to simply drag from Camera Roll somehow to the iMac, like say a specified folder. And Vice Versa from the iMac straight to Camera Roll? A nice workaround to get FROM Camera Roll TO iMac specified folder is "Image Capture" which does exactly just THAT. Quickly and painlessly transfer straight FROM AND TO wherever. This is ridiculous. At this point, I'd pay 50 bucks for a simple app to quickly drag and drop from and to Camera Roll and bam. Done.  Sorry for the book, but this is getting ******** trying to get an answer to this and thought I would deem it necessary to be as descriptive as humanly possible.  Looking for simple answers if possible, but at least descriptive. My phone sometimes does not alert me when I get messages from certain people, and is constantly asking me to put in my password for my apple ID. I have only done it once, but the prompt immediately popped up again, and is really just a major nusaince. I know the straight talk iphone 5 is using Verizon's tower which is CDMA, but I also heard it can but use for any GSM sim card such as T-mobile and ATT. I just went to walmart and brought an straight talk iphone 5, but i have not open yet. On the back of the box it says the phone is model A1429, so I am really wondering if the straight talk iphone is GSM A1429 or CDMA A1429. I have an iphone 4 GSM unlocked using straight talk sim card. It works just fine, but is a bit slower compare to straight talk CDMA. I know the straight talk does not support LET, but if the straight talk iphone is GSM A1429 using CDMA 3G netwrok, I can switch to Tmobile LET 4G network when I move. Does anybody know?

Similarly to everyone else, I have updated my iphone 5 & also 4S to IOS 6.1.3.  The batteries in both phones are draining very fast just as a lot of other people are commenting on, but also both phones will not charge from various devices that do work. I have 2 cables that both work in the car an on my PC, neither now work when connected to a GPO. This started straight after the phones were updated. Thoughts; advice please.

Is there a setting to show new voicemail on my lock screen? If I miss seeing or hearing an incoming message and don't check my voicemail manually, I miss many voicemail messages for long periods of time. Is there a setting that notifies you of a new voicemail on your lockscreen, or at least on your home page of apps?  A notification that stays there till you listen to the actual message?  Steve

Apple does not unlock iPhones, only the carrier the iphone is locked to can unlock it.  If this is an AT&T locked iphone you will have to talk to them about the conditions you have to fulfill to have it unlocked.

Verizon iphone 4s 32GB alerts not working correctly

Hi, I have a iphone 4s (32GB) that i got at a verizon store this past summer (May-Aug 2012). I'm currently only using 7.3GB of it (so i don't really have a ton of stuff on it), and i always close my apps after i use them.  I am having an issue with the alerts. In my settings i have the notifications for imessages/text messages, and mail to be 'on' with alert as the alert style, badge app icon on, show preview, view in lock screen, etc on. BUT whenever i will get emails it will viberate once, but the email wont pop up as an alert, i will manually have to go to my mail to see what it is. Also, with text messages i can get a text message and my phone wont even viberate or send me an alert for it, i will just randomly have a 1 on the messages icon. Is there a recall or something that would explain why my phone is doing this? I am puzzeled, because i take really good care of my phone and am confused why this would be happeneing- because i do all the right things to keep it working for as long as possible. Thank you!

Please help me I need problem fixed now iphone 5

Being the young tech savvy kid I jumped straight in for the iphone 5 and frankly was quite excited and amazed but later annoyed my charger and cable were perfectly fine when taking out of box but a couple of weeks later I had problems my iphone would charge for about 2-3% but then stop and wouldn't start for about 2 mins, I would take it out and then putting it back in but the it just doesn't charge I have the latest software iOS 6.1.3 and thought that would fix it( thinking it was software glitch like many other glitches I've had) but it didn't quite frankly I am definitely thinking of a Samsung s4 as they promise more for less and dont have same problem also I am a dedicated customer and have a iMac desktop, a mackbook pro retina and a iPad mini and the Genius Bar me too wait for 2 weeks until they can get to me and that is public holiday so in theory it's about 2 1/2 weeks and I probably need a new cable but am not keen on getting new lightning cable for $30 thank you and hope u can give me answers to my problem soon thnx

Seriously trying to keep calm over the issues I'm having with the new iphone 5 !! I am currently on my 4th iphone 5 in less than 5 months and awaiting my 5th which I'm seriously considering putting straight on eBay!! The 1st phone I had the on off button packed in! The second iphone I had the battery life lasted me 4 hrs! The 3rd phone kept freezing and turning off! The 4th has decided to come up with the no service logo and yes I have tried everything under the sun to fix this but was told it was an issue with the phones software!! For the love of god what is going on with these phones?? I've loved apple products and own a few devises but seriously had enough now looks like you'll be losing a customer in the next few days I'm afraid ! :(

Hi experts, need some help. I've had my iP4 for 2 years now, mostly trouble free.  Recently my sounds have "mostly" stopped working and I just can't figure out why.  I've done a lot of troubleshooting so here is what the symptoms are: - Volume up/down buttons do not work, nothing happens when pressed- Silent switch does not work, nothing happens when switched- Lock sound does not happen- Phone does not ring (only vibrates)- Phone does not alert or chime - Some apps audio does not work, but most apps play audio fine (youtube, music, videos, most games, etc)- When selecting ring-tone or alert sounds I can hear the sound, so the speaker is working fine Here is what I've tried- check all settings and switches, certainly not a setting issue- cleaned the dock connector with a brush, it is very clean- cleaned headphone jack, and insert/remove headphones multiple times- wiped all settings and restored to factory settings- updated to latest ios6 firmware- deleted "com.apple.iapd.plist" file using iexplorer, did nothing Seems like I'm just about out of options now!  Thanks for any help.

DNS feature not functioning properly iphone 5

DNS feature not working properly after latest update. When DNS is active calls from Favorites do not go through and is sent to voicemail. Texts from favorites also do not go through. Why even have this feature when it does not function properly.

As anyone else had this issue? The phone is sitting right next to me does not ring but a new voicemail pops up. There is no missed call under recent activity. Had a friend call the phone standing right next to me and it also went straight to voicemail???
