Hello! i have iphone-4. I was using a prepaid connection in which 3G internet was working properly. Now i switched to postpaid connection but now 3G internet is not working even it has been activated from the provider. It is showing a message 'Could not activate cellular data, PDP authentication failure'.

iphone 5 currently on 3g network will it work as well in 4gLTE

As the title suggests, I am in a country where no 4g is available yet, so im using it on a 3g network (Im in Taiwan by the way). I am going on a business trip and hope to use the 4g lte network there (through prepaid sim card). I have searched for the models that support 4g lte (like A1428-29). Mine is MD300TA. I have searched this model num and I couldnt find it except in Taiwan web. Anybody how has the similar model number and have used it in 4g networks? How to get iphone 5 2013 GSM model

So I had AT&T and bought the iphone 5 from them, on contract, back on December 15 2012. I wanted to save money and have Unlimited Data so I paid an Early Termination Fee to cancel my contract, got my unlock from them, and moved to T-Mobile prepaid $60 plan/mo.  So I get Edge coverage, or 3G wherever their reframed 1900 network is. BUT now T-Mobile has their own iphone that is LTE-enabled, and has the 1700/2100 AWS bands, for 4G/LTE in most places! Can I get my model replaced with this model?? If so, how? It has the same model number as mine but people are referring to it as the "GSM 2013 model".

Is there a setting to show new voicemail on my lock screen? If I miss seeing or hearing an incoming message and don't check my voicemail manually, I miss many voicemail messages for long periods of time. Is there a setting that notifies you of a new voicemail on your lockscreen, or at least on your home page of apps?  A notification that stays there till you listen to the actual message?  Steve

DNS feature not working properly after latest update. When DNS is active calls from Favorites do not go through and is sent to voicemail. Texts from favorites also do not go through. Why even have this feature when it does not function properly.

HELP iphone screen will not turn on

Today, I locked the screen of my iPhone4 and went to look at something RIGHT AFTER but my screen will not turn on. Plugged it into my charger and nothing. Also plugged it into my computer to see if it would pop up on itunes so I could restore it and STILL NOTHING. It doesnt go straight to voicemail when you call so I guess it's not 'off'. Also, my lock button is broken and Ive been using the assisstive touch button. So I can't just reset it. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE.

Hello everyone.. I'm very confused here; I own an iphone 5 which I have on O2. I bought it outright from the Apple Store in Belfast and just transferred my Business Sim to a Nano Sim and use that in the phone. I am going to the USA soon (Miami) to be a leader at a Summer Camp for 9 weeks and need to use my iphone while I'm over there. I have been researching AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verzion all for prices, but I'm still very confused.. I want to call back to the UK for a low price, as well as use the web for WhatsApp and FB messenger etc. Will not be texting back to the UK. I need to know the answer to these questions: 1. When I put my O2 sim into my iphone (which was bought sim free) does it lock to O2?2. What carriers will support the UK iphone 5 for LTE? Would like to try this feature out as Northern Ireland hasn't been hit with this yet (probaby never will until 2040 ffs) I understand Verzion will not work as it is CDMA.3. What carrier would be most suited for using in Miami? 4. What would the best price plan be (e.g. is there such thing as a Sim-Only monthly rolling contract or prepaid plans with only sim cards?) Thanks very much for your time! Josh

Hey, so I have an iphone 4 that and I cancelled a contract I had with Fido, by paying the deactivation fee in full.  I'm getting by just fine with wifi, but today I'm going on a 2 day trip where I won't have access to wifi.  I'm a little short on money and don't want to go pay the money for a sim card and find out that I've wasted the little cash I do have.  I looked around online, and most of the IMIE checkers I found were either paid or currently down.   If there's a way I can tell for sure that my iphone is unlocked?  And even if it wasn't would it be possible for me to get a sim card from the same company?   I wish to do prepaid service if that helps, I only really need my phone for the next two days. Also I'm leaving in like 16 hours so a fast response would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to connect a iphone 3 with an iphone 4 using bluetooth so I can use the IP3 as a personal hotspot using a New Zealand prepaid Skinny sim (the IP4 has an Australian sim). I have paired the IP3 with my MacBook Pro and a Samsung Galaxy using bluetooth and it works well as a hotspot. However the two iPhones can't discover each other ... is there a workaraound, eg an app that can enhance the very basic functionality provided by Apple? The phones are running iOS 6.0  and iOS6.1 respectively.

My phone no longer can access the internet or voicemail after restoring from itunes.  Works fine after I Erase All Content and Settings.  Once I restore, internet no longer works and voicemail indicator.  I worked with ATT support for 4+ hours over multiple days with no resolution.  I purchased a new phone as I thought it was my hardware, and it happens on the new phone as well.  Any hope would be appreciated.

My iphone 4 only turns on when plugged into charger

My iphone 4 only turns on when plugged into a charger.Previously, it had minimal water damage but I successfully got it in working order - restored it, dl'd apps, made calls, played music fully functional (or so I thought).There is nothing wrong with the lcd, visually, or phsyically, I am able to see and flip through apps.On the flip side, once I unplug the iphone from the charger, when it is inactive and on sleep mode, it doesn't want to turn back on, unless I plug it in to the charger.  Note, as soon as I plug it in, it will turn the phone on whilst taking a picture of the screen... as if I pressed the sleep and home button simulatenously to take a photo of the current on the iphone. Everytime, it doesn't fail. Now that the battery is fully charged, it won't turn on even when I do plug it into the charger.I tested if my phone was really off by calling it but its not considering that it doesn't go straight to voicemail, it just continues to ring then goes to voicemail after the normal duration of not picking up.Lastly, one thing I notice is that the backlight of the iphone 4 is still on for some reason, like a dim light thats only noticable when you the lights are turned off. I know this is lengthy but I'm in need of help on pin pointing the issue. Any feedback would be much appreciated thanks!

iphone 4s sound issues

I'm having a few problems with the sound of my iphone 4s. I sometimes receive a tone when a text message, email/alert comes through but not all the time. My ringtone also doesnt work all the time. I rang my mobile off work phone and it one rings then automatically goes to voicemail. My phone shows a missed call but it never actually made a noise. Have read quite a few posts on similar issues but mine seems to play my music through my phone fine (at the moment anyway). I'm concerned incase it affects my alarm as it's my clock for work.  Through my headphones I can hear when a message comes through and also it rings. Any ideas on what it could be/how to fix it? Thanks x

At this time, visual Voice Mail with AT&T is down in some areas. AT&T knows about the issue and is working on getting it resolved per a rep I just spoke to.

Exchange iphone with AppleCare iphone 5

My wife has a 64 gig 4S with Sprint but we are looking on moving her to a prepaid plan since Sprint is so terrible on their 3G. We were thinking of just selling hte phone on eBay, probably first using our AppleCare+ we bought to get a new/referb phone to put on eBay since she has some small sratches and such on it. However, I was wondering. Woudl Apple allow us to exchange the phone for an unlocked version? Or maybe getting an iphone 5 and paying the difference?

Multiple problems but now iphone 5 screen constantly freezing and acting possessed

I got my first ever iphone on 9/21/12.  Immediately, when I opened the package, I noticed a scratch in the aluminum side.  I read a lot of posts on this forum about scratches, but I decided I would let it go since my scratch wasn't that big.  Two days later, I realized that the battery life was terrible and only lasts me about a day and a half before I have to recharge again.  I also noticed that whenever I had to type in my password for the App Store to buy an app, the screen would flicker on the second row of keys on the keyboard when I switched to the numbers (9/23).  That problem seems to have disappeared for now ever since I updated the software.  The voicemail doesn't seem to work unless I turn the cellular data off (I think that's just because I don't know how it works) and I receive voicemails LATE.   Lately, this month, I have noticed that my iphone 5 screen freezes midway whenever I try to swipe to the next pages.  It also freezes every half second when I am trying to type anything.  The "send" button also doesn't respond to me when I press it.  The home screen button is the only thing that I can press to unfreeze everything, but it's getting really frustrating to do that every other second.  Since two days ago, whenever I am repeatedly trying to press an app or swipe, random apps start to open up even though my finger is no where near it.  Lately, it has also been unresponsive to any touch (like sliding to unlock), but I wonder if it's because my hands are too cold... Just a few minutes ago, my iphone was acting possessed and started opening up a text conversation and switching to another text BY ITSELF.  I wasn't even touching it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What can I do? Is it too late to bring it to the Apple Store to get a new one? It's been two months since I opened it and I have never dropped it and I kept the original screen protectors on it for a month until my actual screen protectors arrived.

Chipped iphone 4S iphone 5

My iphone 4S fell out of my jacket pocket onto the hard ground and I've managed to chip it around the edge of the screen (the very edge, sort of plastic bit). There's about 7 chips, some bigger than others around the edge of the back and front glass sections. Is there away to fix this or replace them? My iphone works fine, I'm just upset I've managed to cause quite a lot of visual damage to my new phone. How much would a replacement part cost and how much to be installed? Thanks

Hi all,  Need help on a tricky issue: My iphone 5 originally purchased from Canada - fully unlocked and has been working great with AT&T (went to their corp. store in the Bay Area and picked up a Nano SIM no question asked). I was able to roam on LTE/4G/3G as needed. I've even tried using the T-Mobile naon SIM and it roam fine on their EDGE network. Was doing family vacation at Hong Kong - ironically w/ with the help of HKG Apple Store, they helped me purchase a local CSL One2Free prepaid SIM and used it for 10 day in HKG (via 3G).  Returned to US on Sunday, pop in the AT&T Nano SIM, the phone was able to connect AT&T's network - I was able to make calls and receive txt etc, but with no internet acess - as if Cellular Data part turned off. Tried Reset Network Settings. Tried, a full wipe and, and full reinstalled and can't seems to get it to work. Went to AT&T corporate store this morning and asked for fresh new Nano SIM again. They said my account and the SIM should work fine, but they gave me a new SIM anyway. Did one more soft network rest then I was back on LTE (yay). *BUT* when I go into Settings > Ceullar > Enable LTE (turning it off) I am left with no (the usual swtiching) to 4G or 3G as you would have expect.  Any suggestion on what to do next would be great. LTE is "okey" on the Bay Area, but I would really like the phone to have back up acess to 4G and 3G on data as it has always been when I first purchased it. ps- obivouly Wi-Fi works.

I've bought an iphone for the wife's birthday.Of course I wanted to set everything up so she could use it straight out of the box.I bought a prepaid simcard for this purpose and everything seemed to be working fine.Created her Apple ID with her personal email address.On her birthday she put in her own simcard and still everything seemed to be working fine.iMessage works correctly - as well as everything else. However...  Settings/Messages/Send & Receive/You can be reached by iMessage atStill shows that old telephone number - but it's greyed out. Is there any way to get this deleted and get the new telephone number in here?

Call issues since ios 6.0.1 update on iphone 5

Hi all, I have an iphone 5 which worked perfectly with ios6.0 and I had none of all of the reported issues with that version. I now have updated to ios 6.0.1 and am facing major issues making calls. My cellular network shows 4 bars but none of  my calls  hook the network and I cannot make calls, unless I switch off/on the airplane mode. But it would only work back for few minutes. . My phone is not even ringing when people call me. It goes directly to voicemail.  Anybody experiencing this problem?  Is it a hardware issue? I must say, at the same location, my blackberry works perfectly.

Solution For Having voicemail Issues iphone 4S

Not long after activating my iphone 5 with Verizon, my visual voicemail stopped working.  In addition, I was not even receiveing notifications when I had voicemail.  The only way for me to check and/or listen to voicemail was to do it the old fashioned way by dialing *86. Verizon technical support had me check and recheck every setting on the phone but noting fixed the issue. I was told that one of the possible causes could be a specific app.  "Onavo Extend".  It's an app that is supposed to "stretch" your data plan and also lets you track how much data each specifc app uses.  After deleting the app, I was still unable to access visual voicemail.  After a little more playing around, I found that deleting the app does not remove the profile that it installed on the phone.  You need to manually remove the profile (Under Settings / General / Profiles).  After removing the profile I reset the phone (Hold the power and home button at the same time until the phone shuts off) and everything worked fine.....my visual voicemail was back. You may need to remove the profile more than once.  For some reason after removing the profile the first time and restarting the phone, he profile reappeared.    Hope this helps!

Battery life decreased iphone 4S

Good evening! One week ago I've updated my phone to iOS 6. About three days later I noticed, that battery dies much faster than before updating. That's not a problem, I could only start waiting for update with fixes, BUT. Nearly the next day after updating I've dropped my iphone. It was in a case, so there are no visual damages. Moreover, the height was not extremely big, about 80-100 cm. And now I can't find out the true reason of battery problems. What's the cause - iOS 6 or a drop? Does anyone with 4S and iOS 6 have such a probem wih battery?

I know this is supposedly not possible, but I need to retrieve a specific voicemail from my iphone which was also "cleared" from the Deleted Messages box. Any suggestions? This is highly important. I know the number from which the voicemail arrived, but have not been able to figure out how to retrieve it. I accidentally had the voicemail in the Deleted Messages folder, and then Cleared this folder. If there is any possible way I might be able to retrieve this message, even if there is a cost associated with it, please help me. Thank you.

No spoken turn by turn directions with Maps on iphone 5

Hi I just recently purchased an iphone 5 and was keen to use spoken directions with turn by turn when using maps. However, I can not get it to speak the directions and there does not seem to be an option to turn it on.  I have ensured that I have an accurate current location & destination.  I have the icon for car highlighted.  I then press the Route button and it shows the direction clearly on the map, but when I press Start I only get the visual green signs and no sound. I have checked that Map settings has Navigation Voice Volume set to Normal and have also tried Loud. Am I missing something?  I am in Australia, and wonder if we don't get this feature? Help appreciated.

Why did AT T add password to voicemail iphone

For no reason known to a seasoned iphone user, as I setup my new iphone 5, a popup asked for my voicemail password!  I have never had a voicemail password and had no idea what it was, so I entered some numbers that might be the one, but  iphone just kept asking for this.  Never did it tell me it was wrong or Try again.  I finally called AT&T and they reset the PW and I should change it.  But WHY???? Is there any need for this to be different than the iphone 4 or 4S, with all the added frustration.   Maybe there is a logical reason for such a password, as it allows one to get voice messages from any phone.  Maybe this service has value, but might that be better served with an OPT IN or OPT OUT question during the setup rather than the confusion with a one answer dialog box. Comment welcome!

So yesterday my phone started acting up.  Three things....voicemail starts then pauses.  push play again and it will play another second then stop again.  Same thing with video and music!!  Also screen wont turn off by itself.   Turned off phone yesterday and when it restarted it was fine.  Then by the time this morning came along same problems.  My phone is only about a month old and I have then new iOS 5 update. Verizon Voice Mail Problems-How I change time before going to voicemail iphone

voicemail on my Verizon iphone 5 is almost useless.  Does anyone have the same problem OR has anyone solved this problem? Calls take so long to go to voice mail (Verizon says 40 seconds) that my callers hang up before getting to voice mail. And calls to my Google Voice number which rings my Verizon iphone go to Google voicemail (after 25 seconds) before Verizon voicemail picks up so I don't get to use visual voicemail. We just switched to Verizon from AT&T (iphone) and Sprint and we never had this problem before. Looking online it appears that AT&T and Sprint make it very easy for their customers to set the amount of rings (or time) that a call takes before going to voicemail. Verizon has given me conflicting information but no solution. They have said: 1. It is set to 40 seconds for everyon and you cannot change it.2. They can set it between 15 seconds and 40 seconds in 5 second increments3. They can set it to different times BUT it resets back to the default 40 seconds Help! How do I change the time it takes for Verizon to go to voicemail on my iphone to 20 seconds or less?

Duplications on visual voicemail iphone

Every now and again, my visual voicemail will duplicate messages that are showing in the mailbox. I can end up with four idential messages sitting in my voicemail box, which is somewhat annoying.  Does anyone know why this is occuring and how I would fix it?
