Has anyone tried to get their iphone 4 to pair with a UConnect hands-free system? Ive tried to pair the phone but it wont pair. Any suggestions on how to make this work? Windows Vista

Two 3gs in our house both running faster on 4.1 iphone 3G

Personally I dont think our 3gs were that terrible on 4.0-4.0.2, all the comments along the lines of my phone is now unusable I think are just people doing what they do best, whinging.But anyway, both mine and my wifes did slow a bit under 4, but both just upgraded to 4.1 and both faster, mine quite a lot. Its unlikely down to the system being reset as I regularly hard reset mine and it made no difference at all. Worth noting that free Mem is reporting roughly the same free ram. I mention that as lots said the slow down as a ram issue. No idea if it was or not, just that free ram says the same now as it did on 4.0-4.0.2.Anyway, no doubt Ill be slated and ripped apart by some regulars on this forum, but there you go. Speaker has almost stop working iphone 3G

Has any of you guys lost the sound from the speaker mine has almost lost all the sound from the phone speaker. Hands free still works. So Im off to get a new phone. My 2 year warranty is almost over so it was a good investment.I did a complete restore, but the speaker has not come back. While making calls I hear buzz sound with turned off 3G. iphone 4

I never had this with my 2G Blackberry Curve in the same areaI live in an area where 2G is stronger than 3G (I seem to get 1 more bar when I turn off 3G). However, once I do that I get a weird buzz sound (like there was a static interference). Its the same kind of sound you here from computer speakers when you place a phone near them. But I tested it away from potential interference sources. Once I turned on 3G, the voice was clean and there was no more buzz sound! I hear those sounds on low when I put to phone to my head. When use speakerphone I hear no static sounds. I had Blackberry Curve 8310 before with ATT that did calls on 2G only and had never this issue. I am using phone without case waiting for a free one in the mail, but I dont hold the bottom and it still does that. Should I take it to Apple Store and diagnose it? iphone 4 falls into DFU mode all time

Hi!got my iPhone4 a little longer than a month. Since approx. two weeks it falls into DFU mode everytime i lock it and wait about 10-15 minutes to unlock it again. i cant tell the exact amount of time it takes to fall asleep - it may take longer when email arrives in the meantime...the problem doesnt appear then the phone is wired to a computer or jack. It is also hard to get out of this mode. sometimes it takes me 3 or 4 times pressing both buttons for 10 seconds to reactivate it.i tried to reinstall it (also without restoring from backup) several times - using two different macs. no change. Whatever - the phone did not drop or anything. except the described issue it is in top condition. is there anything else i could try? is this a known issue? or is my only chance to send it back to apple?thx in advanceT. iPhone4 iOS 4

My wife and I have identical iPhones purchased at the same time - mine just upgraded to 4.0.2 and hers is still 3.1.3. She has no problem connecting to our secure (WEP) linksys router (WRT54GSV4), entering the key (as hex) and using wifi. Now, mine will seek but only intermittently find our wireless router (but none of the others of several routers in our vicinity). When it does occasionally find our router (perhaps it doesnt actually find it - only has it stored somewhere?), the key entered is consistently rejected as incorrect. When searching for the router by name it says it cant find it. All other wireless devises in our household have no problem with router, key and connection.1) Key entered correctly multiple times.2) Router has been reset multiple times.3) Router security/encryption has been disabled with the same results - cant find it.4) Router firmware is the most recent version5) Router broadcast frequencies and wireless G/B/Mixed reconfigured multiple times.6) iphone was backed up and OS restored As New.7) iphone Network Settings reset multiple times.8) iphone cold reboot multiple times.9) Toggled 3G on and off multiple times (on the advise of Apple support) .10) After over a year of issue-free use, have now openly denigrated Apple products and support multiple times for wasting so much of my time and expecting me to pay for it. Proximity Sensor Woes iphone 3G

Hi. I have recently been having a bit of trouble with my iphone 3G. When making calls the proximity sensor fails to lock the screen, and thus I end up creating havoc with my ears. I presumed this was a faulty sensor, however something else rather interesting has been happening as well, randomly the screen fails to respond during normal use, but continues to function again when I cover the proximity sensors with my fingers. It will sometimes work again if I lock and unlock the iphone. Any ideas? iphone 3G iOS 4

Long story short, I have had 2 replacements on my iphone 4 so far. I ordered a free case from my original iphone 4 before the replacement, before I got the replacement phone, I ordered a case INCASE SNAP CASE iphone 4 - SMOKE-ZML on my original iphone 4, now to find that I had a gap on the back of the phone, got it replaced, and will call it 1st replacement. Anyways on the 1st replacment I also ordered the same case, so now I ordered 2 of those, and evidently the order went through. FaceTime activation problems in Cyprus iphone 4

I recently purchased two Sim-free iphone 4s from the UK and brought them to Cyprus.i was really eager to try FaceTime so after registering them and everything i tried activating Facetime. One of the phones which is with the carrier CYTA mobile Vodafone works fine and activates FaceTime immediate i had to switch it on and of once. The other phone with MTN wont activate it and i get a video_..... something but stays on waiting for activation. I tried swapping the Sim cards and the CYTA card activates on the other phone as well. Had glass screen replaced now iphone randomly shuts down

My wife very recently had her glass screen replaced after a nasty crack. Everything was fine for the first 24 hours or so; now the phone continues to randomly shut off. The screen was replaced (for free!) at an Apple Store Genius Bar, not a random cell phone store. Shes performed a couple hard resets, but no luck. I have an iphone 4 on a monthly contract in the UK with o2. My 3GS was unlocked without a problem, however o2 tell me that they cant/wont unlock my iphone 4.I asked them why they wont (as I understand that EU legislation forbids enforced locking) and they told me that Apple have said that they arent allowed to unlock iphone 4s. iphone 4 all 3rd party apps including their data suddenly gone

There is a strange and very annoying bug in iOS 4 (4, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2); every once in while all third party apps including their data get deleted from the iphone. This happens WITHOUT any user interaction, apparently random and not during sync. The iphone just rests on the desk unused, then I pick it up again, unlock the screen and find out that all 3rd party apps are gone. The original Apple apps including their data are just fine. Very strange and very annoying. Did someone else suffer from this problem? Belkin Clear Hard Case iphone 4

The Shield Micra case. This was my free case through the case program. Cant say anything good about it. Literally 3 cents worth of plastic and the top and bottom are completely open and not protective at all. Opening for volume buttons is too small btw. No one with average hand size will like it. I have another clear case I really like (no brand from handhelditems.com). But I thought, well try the Belkin. A half hour later I finally succeeded in getting my phone out of the darn thing and had to be VERY careful not to damage the phone in the process. There is NO EASY WAY to take the phone out to clean. free Iphone4 bumper case doesnt work with accessories sold in Apple Stores

I received my free bumper (strange my fingers and computer have tried to spell this bumber twice now!) I have found after fitting the case that accessories supplied by Apple for the 3G and Ipod touch dont fit the iphone 4 with the case fitted. These include charging cables, USB cables and in car charger. Most of the problem products were purchased in an Apple Store in the UK. The problem is that the hole in the base of the bumper case is too small to accommodate the docking connector. Has anyone else had similar issues? 3rd iphone 4 screen malfunctioning

Swapped out the first because of another issue. Got a second, the screen started getting lines 1 day after I got it, small fine lines running across the screen, makes the screen look like ****! Went back a day later, they swapped it out no problem, SAME issue with the screen, and its super yellow. What in the world do I do now? Canceling call from Tom Tom doesnt always cancel call on iphone 3G

I purchased a new iphone 4 on Aug 24 from an AT&T store and that evening downloaded the app to order my free case. I got an error that said my phone isnt eligible. According to the Terms and Conditions my phone IS eligible!!! Well, after being on the phone with tech support for 2 hours (talked to 3 different people during that time), I was told that Id receive a call on the evening of the 25th with info on when the case would be shipped. I didnt get a phone call so I called back on the 26th. Ive been on the phone with Apple for an hour now (have talked to 4 people) and still dont have this resolved!!! What is going on here? Bad Experience with Apple iphone 4

Hi all,I bought an iphone 4 from three mobile from their online site. Last Thursday I received the iphone, but it is faulty. No sound at all, no dial tone , no ring tone, etc.Then I went to 3 and they told me it is faulty , need 2 weeks to get new one for me, while I still need to pay for the plan even though I cannot make a call. The other solution is go to apple store, so they can give me a new phone faster. So I go to apple store, one of the guy check my phone and say it is faulty but I need to make appointment in order to get new phone. I make sure with him that I can get a new phone on next appointment, he say yes. So appointment on Monday (3 days later). Which I thought not too bad.Some important thing happen on Monday, I cannot go to apple. So I gave them a call to change my appointment. But they told me they cannot change my appointment online, ask me to make new appointment online. And the guy over the phone seem so busy that he does not bother to help me make reservation online while i in front of my computer.So I go to their site, next thing I found out is there are so many appointment type, so not sure which to book. I just book one of them at Wednesday. Then on Wednesday I go to apple again, this time they tell me I make wrong appointment so I cannot meet the person who need to check my phone(only need 5 mins). Ok seem that partly my fault this time, I accept it. So he make another appointment for me on Friday.Friday, go to apple store again. Finally they manage to check the phone and said it is faulty. Can replace new one for me. Guess what happen? No stock. Wow, and tell me I need to wait another week. What is the different with 3? You guys still need 2 weeks and wasting all my precious time for it. Issue with pressing down on Home Button iphone 4

I have had my iphone 4 since launch day abd have had no issues with it. Runs great, but I went ahead and got the free bumper just in case and sure enough after getting it and putting it on, I was at a concert and had it knocked out of my hand. Causing it to hit tue cement pretty hard =/Since then, my home button doesnt work quite as well. Phone itself is in perfect condition still, just the button has the be pressed many time for it to actually work. I was wondering what could be done about this. Take it to the apple store perhaps? I didnt get the extended warranty, but Im not sure if this would be covered. Also my warranty might be void since my phone two days later took a dive in water. 3 days in a bowl of rice and the phone works tine. But that little water strip, wherever it is would kill the warranty option.Just wanted to see what my options were. Its most likely something knocked out of place or mabe a loose connection now. But its starting to get annoying, haveong to press the button many times to get it to work.Thank you for any info and advice.

Bottom of touchscreen suddenly not working. Cant unlock. iphone 3G

My iphone 3G was working perfectly until a few hours ago when the bottom of the touchscreen suddenly went dead. I was playing games on it with absolutely no issues, then set it down and of course it locked. I went to unlock it a while later and nothing happened. The first thing I tried was rebooting it, which is how I found out the TOP of the screen works since the slide to power off is at the top, and worked fine, but I couldnt cancel since thats at the bottom. I have also already tried restoring it with no luck.I know this is a long shot because I have been all over the internet hoping for a fix but I figured it couldnt hurt to ask if anyone has any other ideas. This is my only phone and its completely useless. To top it off my warranty ended earlier this month. If it comes down to having to pay for a repair, it might just be cheaper for me to upgrade to a completely different phone. Does anyone know if youre using a Remote Desk Top app (team viewer is what Im using) if you are using your data from your data package? For example if Im surfing the web on my computer via RDT on my iphone does all of the pages I view count as data used? Or if I open a file on my computer does that use data? This is all done over 3G not wifi since thats free of course. iOS 4

Screen Resolution iphone 4

Hey everyone,I just have a quick question. I was wondering what the resolution of the screen is in the middle section. By the middle section, I mean the section in the center of the lock screen below the darkened part at the top that shows the time and above the darkened part at the bottom that has the unlock slidebar. If anyone knows itd be really helpful. iphone 4 iOS 4

Support-please help-iphone 3G awaiting activication

Hi Support (and fellow users)I am trying to unlock on iphone 3G which I purchased two years ago on a bill pay account with o2 Ireland. About a year ago I upgraded to an iphone 3GS also purchased on my bill pay account with o2 Ireland - this has been successfully unlocked. Approximately a week ago I ported to Vodafone Ireland and purchased an iphone 4 on bill pay. Just before porting to Vodafone Ireland I reqeusted that o2 Ireland unlock my iphone 3G and received an sms message from o2 Ireland saying o2 have submitted your unlock reqeust for iphone IMEI xxx to Apple. Apple should unlock the devide via iTunes within the next two weeks. o2. My previous unlock expreience on the 3GS took approximately 24 hours so after a few days I plugged in my 3G to see if there was any movement from Apple. However, when I plug it in it just says Awaiting activiation, this may take some time. I have tried it with a Vodafone sim card but it wont work. I am wondering if my iphone 3G has been blocked by Apple perhaps?Any advice? Dell Inspiron 6000 Windows XP
