How can I get my iPhone repairedreplaced in different country iPhone 4S

My family and I recently moved to Shanghai for my dad's job. We bought an unlocked iPhone 4s w/AppleCare in the U.S. and got a chinese SIM card in China. I was riding my bike on the street and my phone fell out of my pocket and onto the road. The screen is completely cracked and the power on/off button is stuck. We're going back home for a couple months in the summer. Honestly, I don't want to have to deal with my cracked screen for another month. I'm wondering what my options are for this. Phone repalacement or phone repair? Do I have to wait to go back to the U.S. or can I go to an Apple store here and resolve it.

Second iPhone 4 came back from Apple Store xidanjoycity but it still got hardware malfunction.

I had my iPhone 4 serviced last December, before my applecare expires. After I took the "new" iPhone back home, I saw lots of dirty watermarks on the screen of it, and no matter what method I used, I couldn't clean it. So I went back, after another day waiting, I picked up the second one. After about a week, the speak on this one stop working sometimes. But if I shake it hard enough it will be good. I mean I know it is a hardware malfunction not a software set up problem. Last week it was the chinese new year, I missed a lot of phone calls, important messages and no need to say alarm clock. Now I have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow(Beijing time,GMT+8), it takes me about 3 hours to get there and back, about 2 hours to get my backup and apps back to the new phone. I hope you understand how many hours of my time have been wasted. So, what if the next one still a "bad" one. I was in Australia in the last four years, and I went to the Apple Store in Robina and Chermside to service my other iPhone and Macs, I never had any kind of problems. I'm very very disappointed with the Apple Store in Xidan Joy City(Beijing).

Yesterday I go to Genius Bar in Birminghan Apple Store Bullring to mend my iphone 4S. it give me the Genius Bsr Work Authorisation ( repair NO. R83922556)they found the Issue: No sound emitting from receiver. But they said Replace iphone under warranty however as the phone is chinese  and due to regulations they are unable to swap the handset in the ARS, I can not get any service and help in the UK.  But I still need to study in UK for a long time, I don't know what I can do right now.

Iphone 4S has SN number confused me

I have bought an Iphone4S from eBay. What really makes me confused is that the IPhone's SN number : DNQGYVMPDTC1   and the IMEI  is   99 000100 270499 7. I checked it from the apple website and got the information that both service the company provide is within the data. The question is : one of chinese technician said this phone maybe is a mock. The ground he said is that the telephone technique support and the repair and coverage service should be not be the same. You need to set up another iTunes/Apple ID account in the chinese store because the Apple ID you have is only valid in the US store. You can try changing your current ID to the chinese store. Open App store app. On the main page scroll to the bottom. You will see your Apple ID. Click on it...then click on Open Apple ID. You should be able to change store, but I don't know whether it will let you register that ID on a new store.

How I get my UK bought iPhone repairedreplaced in China iPhone 4S

I have recently moved to Shanghai from the UK. My. iPhone 4S has developed a fault and the mobile data now doesn't work. I took it into the apple store here but they could not fix it - they accept that it is a hardware fault. They also say that as a UK IPhone is different from a chinese one, they cannot repair or replace it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to sort this out? My iphone 4 is sending sms to 1 person in my address book in chinese, not all messages to this person appear in chinese just the occasional one although,today my phone has sent 4 messages to this person all in chinese when I wasn't even using my phone. We do not speak or read chinese. Is it possible I have a virus on my phone? Thanks for your help!

iphone unlocked

Recently unlocked my iphone 3gs through att.  Did the process, everything seemed to go fine, but I can't tell if it's unlocked or not.  People say the way to tell is to put in another sim card, so I put in a chinese sim card and it said no service.  Havent used that sim card in a year, so it may be deactivated.  I dont have any other sim cards now, but want to use it with a new sim card this summer.  The only difference I can tell with the phone is that in settings, there was an option to select carrier, is this an indication that the phone is unlocked?

I'm not a software engineer, only a bloody newbie - but nevertheless I ask myself any time, when 666 MB iOS updates running - why these updates sooo big. Unfortunately my DSL line is not the fastest one, I'm waiting and waiting ... chrrr.May be here in this community there is an expert who can tell me with "normal" speech (not programmers chinese) what's the reason for that huge updates. I have been given an iphone 4S by a cousin who somehow loaded a weird chinese UI on his brand new 4S.  iTunes does not recognize this device at all, and I am at a los on how to wipe this phone clean and reload iOS.  This phone has never been activated.  Its just a case of a teenager messing aound and screwing up a perfectly good new phone.  Any ideas PLEASE???

Hello,I was looking at the available languages for SMS in my iPhone and found a lot of languages (see below).But I could not find my mother tongue: Kurdish.The Kurdish alphabet is available in Latin alphabet and is very similar to the English alphabet. There is only five letters more. Makes it quite easy to add.Therefore, I urge Apple to make it possible for Kurdish people to use their own language. Kurds may not have an independent nation-state but nor do Cherokee-, Flemish-, Catalan- and Tibetan people but their languages exist. That is mother tongue has nothing to do with having or not having a nation-state. Today Kurdish people are divided in at least four countries (Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria), some include Armenia and Azerbaijan which makes it six. HI, I am a chinese iPhone 4s user and currently I plan to buy a new iPhone from China and I will be arriving at Sydney in the next month and will be staying in Australia for two years as a postgraduate student in Newcastle, however, I was wondering about the warranty of my iphone4s that I bought in China and use it in Australia. I got an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.0 installed from apple store since last year it launched in the UK. But after that I'm keep experiencing app crash issue when typing chinese characters by using the internal input method provided by iOS. Then I upgraded iOS to version 5.01 and still the same problem. It happens on every app that requires text input such as facebook, text message, email, Google Maps etc. My iPhone is not jailbraked btw...

S not valid for foreign S-Cards iPhone 4

Hello guys, my iPhone 4 is supposed to be factory unlocked - and it works with all German carriers - I also checked one sim-card from Ireland, which also worked. However, I can't activate the iPhone with a chinese sim-card or Thai sim-card. The error message "sim not valid" shows up. I tried those two sim-cards with an iPhone 4S of a friend (also factory unlocked), and both worked perfectly.  My assumption is that my iPhone is only unlocked for European carriers? Is this possible? And if yes, can I fix this issue somehow?  Thank you for your help!

Recommend USA micro S card for factory-unlocked iPhone 4s

Could be a simple question but I can't find the answer: I bought a factory-unlocked iPhone 4s (from Apple)  for use while traveling abroad (mainly China). I already have a chinese SIM card to use while I'm China.  I just got the iPhone delivered to me in the US and I want to get it set up and tested before I travel back to China. But I'm a little confused about where I can get a micro SIM card in the US  to pop into the phone for a couple of days just to get it set up and running (I don't need a lot of time on the card). Can I just pop into any AT&T or T-mobile store and pick up a micro-SIM card that will work?

Unable to add new words to user Dictionary iPhone 4

This just started happening since I switched to an iPhone 4. Before, I was able to active the custom user dictionary on my 3GS on iOS 4 and was successfully able to add my own words to the dictionary.Now, however, when I go to:Settings>General>Keyboard>Edit User Dictionary>It lists no words in the user dictionary and the + button is missing. So I can no longer add my own words to the dictionary.It makes no difference if Ive added chinese Pinyin or Japanese Ten Key. I can see my custom dictionary. But, its blank. And Im unable to add my own words to it.I suspect its because I had words in the dictionary before on my 3GS and did a restore from that backup.Is anyone else having this problem? And if youve fixed it, how? iPhone 4 iOS 4

iPhone Warranty-Help

Hi,I have an issue with my iPhone 4, whereby, when I plug it into charge, it starts up, displays the Apple logo for about 5 seconds then powers down. About 10seconds later, this repeats - and this continues with no progress beyond the apple logo.Im an expat living in Guangzhou, China - so I took the phone to the only Apple Premium Service Center here. They looked at it with a light, and said that it had been exposed to water. It has NOT been exposed to water, and I let them know this. They then said they do not have the parts to repair and I needed to go back to Hong Kong where I bought it from. I dont speak chinese, and the lady did speak OK English, but Im not sure if the we dont have parts is due to them thinking it was exposed to water - or if they actually cant repair (which would surprise me).I really dont want to have to take this to HK for repair, and Im pretty sure I shouldnt have to under Apples International Warranty (of which this phone is still under). I did some reading, and am guessing she looked for a pink line - which seems to happen when the phone is exposed to water. In my case it hasnt, and I did read that high humidity can cause the same effect. Guangzhou is very humid, and the issue occurred shortly after I returned from Thailand on business - extremely high humidity. The bottom line is - where do I go next? Im unable to fully discuss this with the service center here in Guangzhou (due to English/chinese language limitations). Hong Kong is not somewhere I will be traveling any time soon, so Im at a loss for how I can successfully follow up with a warranty claim & repair here. I cant believe a Premium Apple Service center doesnt have parts to repair the phone! iPhone 4 iOS 4

Edit User Dictionary button missing iPhone 4

I just noticed when I go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Edit User Dictionary, the + button that was in the top right corner is now gone. OMG!!! Hi, I am not only new to discussion post but I am new to the iPhone, smartphone any phone other than my Motorola RAZ. I am sure these questions have been asked but I dont have the time to search through 100s of posts. Sorry... I recently bought a phone from China, an M890 JAVA Unlocked Cell Phone Quad Band WIFI TV Bluetooth Dual Sim Cards Standby Mobile Phone. It looks exactly like and iPhone and is running its os, of what version I am not sure. I think it is an iPhone 4 clone but wouldnt know. I have no serial number that I can find, have 2 of the IMEI1 numbers. The only paper work that came with the phone was a worthless user guide, no instruction manual for anything. The company has been very nice and helpful in dealing with me, since the first USB cord, charger and batteries were junk and they had to send me new ones. I have asked them for more details 2 days ago but with weekend, I am tired of waiting. I currently have very small plan/service with AT&T for SIM 2 as well as MegaTalk with iWireless (T-Mobile affiliate)for SIM 1. Neither of them want to help me because it is a phone from China, even when I told them everything we have is made in china. I have local WIFI across the street but signal and reception not the greatest on phone. But I think I might have finally got the internet configured so it at least connects now. I just connect through homepage because my browsers Opera Mini and MSN are in chinese and for the life of me I cant get then to English. Problems and Questions:1.)Do you have to have the GSM data configured for WIFI or internet? Currently I have it configured through GPRS since that is the only place I could configure with the information and access point I got from iWireless?2.)when I connect to internet shortly after it tells me memory is full. Theres no way unless some of the apps are killing it. I have everything stored to SIMS or my 8GB storage disk. It does it for WIFI but waits longer. So what could be eating my memory?3.)Will iTunes ever be able to register or detect my phone? It did once for a second, now it will not. Theres not even a devices heading anywhere.I have uninstalled and installed 4 times and am tired of doing so.4.)If not, is there a way to update os with out iTunes? For some reason there is a lot of apps missing from what is offered in 3 and 4 so would like to update or reinstall?5.)Do you have to use iTunes to delete apps? There are some I will never use.6.)How do you set up MMS profile? I have never had or used picture messaging. Well I think that is all for now. Dear all, Not sure if anyone is having the same problem. I recently upgraded my 3G to iPhone 4 (both unlock versions from Hong Kong). My colleague from Korea sends me English sms but all show as ??? ??? The same sms sent to another iphone 4 showed correctly. The sms sent to my old 3G by the same colleague were all OK. I also asked another friend in Korea sent test sms to my new iphone 4 and it was OK too. Just the messages from the colleague to my iphone 4 are all ??? ???I am sure it is not related to Korean/chinese characters, since all messages are in English. I have switched to iphone 4 in July 2010. International message to China mobile had been fine until Oct 2nd. Since Oct 2nd, I can send text message to China Mobile but they only can receive message in English but chinese. Even worse since today (Oct 11th), they cant receive any messages (neither English nor chinese). When users send messages to my iphone 4, they always get We have received testing message as an automatic reply. I have called couple of friends located in different cities in US. new BUG in Simplified chinese keyboard on iOS 4.0.x iPhone

I find a new bug on iOS 4.0.x...Its about the Simplified chinese keyboard. When i use the Pinyin input method, its really difficult to select a word in the candidate box. When i tap on it, it always locates the cursor instead of choosing a word. I think there is a mistake on sensing area.Many chinese people are complaining about this issue and iPhone OS 3.x.x has no problem on this. New iPhone4 with Date in chinese

I just got my iPhone4 but unfortunately, I didnt see this until I got home. I was proudly showing my new phone to my GF and suddenly I noticed why is the date (on the homescreen) in chinese. For example: September 3, 2010...but in ChineseAnd besides the English keyboard, there was an option to switch to a chinese keyboard.I came back to the retailer today, they explained because the phone was made in China so that was preset.Is this standard? Does this ever happen to anyone? When I got my 3G, this didnt happen. Dell XPS M1330 Windows Vista

chinese in iTunes 9.2.1 iPhone 4

I have some chinese songs that placed in Music of Library. Some chinese song names display correctly but some display garbage. Can someone advise how to fix it. Thanks! MacBook Air, iMac 27", iPhone 4 Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Iphone 3gs version 3.1.3 updated to OS 4.0 ( 8A293 ) Problem 1 : while u sent chinese text sms the text feel so blurry something like shadow behind text and feel laggy T_TProblem 2 : when u deleted apps from Multitasking sometimes will get freeze your iphone few second especially when close text message down in the multitasking will auto reboot my iphone =.= or u playing iphone games will jump out always? ==OS 4.0 feel like still not smootly yet~~ so hope apple fast out new os to solve this problem >< Asus iOS 4
