something wrong with my battery iPhone 5

Hi everyone! I have an Iphone 5 that was newly "remodeled" for tmobile. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my battery after a recent decline in performance. I am updated to the latest iOS and I recently restored all of my settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery performance, leaving only wifi on location for weather. With my current usage and standby, do I have something to be concerned about? I know some individuals that have my usage and will have a standby time of over a day. Advice and opinions is very much appreciated.

Having Paid about £20 for an official unlocking, I am being told to insert a Non-Orange 3G Sim card into the phone that is to be unlocked (Orange is the network the iPhone iscurrently locked to).  Well I don't have a Non-Orange 3G Sim Card do I !! Unable to update iOS to more than 4.2.1 iPhone 3G

I have gone through all of the steps to try to upload my Iphone 3 to an iOS5 so that I can load google, facebook etc.  The phone says it is at 4.2.1 and that is the latest software available.  Before I did the original update the phone had all those apps.  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iPhone 5 Rear Microphone

Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iPhone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross

My phone started acting up today and  the screen is hyper sensitive and is calling people and opening programs without me touching my phone.

My iphone 4s stuck in headphone mode siri won't stop opening by itself and my music plays by itself too.

Idk what's happening, it just won't stop spazzing out. the power button sticks every now and then and i have to use tweezers to keep it from doing so. I don't get it.

iPhone 5-Performance drop after upgrading to IOS 6.1.4

Hi All, I just upgraded my iphone 5 to IOS 6.1.4. Afterwhich i realize the performance motion of sliding from page to page, app opening and minimizing... seems to have dropped. Did anyone experience the same effect? I wish to revert back to 6.1.3, any guide on how to achieve this without losing any data or app installed?  Appreciate any help. Thanks.

google maps App Issue Blue Tooth for GMC Acadia- iPhone 5

I'm having an issue with the our blue tooth which is paired with our GMC Acadia.  It's works fine with the exception of each time it gives directions vocally it repeats "Call Ended" through the stereo system.....   It does this every single time the App gives vocal instructions. Apple maps - No problem although I need to be connected via USB which the vehicle has.  Apple maps is fine so I'm not sure why all the Hype about google maps for iOS. I am just courious if anyone has come across this issue with the google maps for iOS in a vehicle.

I recently changed my Gmail password for my Gmail account while on my desktop pc. Then on my iPhone 4s, I configured the google app (for the first time) for my Gmail account. This worked fine. I went back to the default iPhone Mail app (in Settings) which was already configured with my Gmail account (and was previously working). I figured I would be prompted to change my password - which I was. But it wouldn't accept the change. So I then deleted the account and tried to set it up again. It still won't work. It continues to say the username or password for the account is incorrect.  Can you not have the same Gmail account configured in both places - the Mail app and the google app? Thoughts?Thanks!Lori

iPhone 5 seizing randomly-unable to be used

I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me.  About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped.  It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again.  It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back.  I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff.  SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty.  I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I have iPhone 4S and using chrome app. google recently give me a lot of problem, it redirect to me to some website I never heard before such as http://corp.kaltura.com/. It was different website couple days ago. I tried on Safari, both app will have problem at the same time. If I can use google, Safari and chrome will both work, if google has problem, both will have problem (google only). I tried on search box or type google.com, clear all the histories and cookies. Could not solve problem.  Sometimes turn off the iphone then turn it back on will temperately solve the problem, but it come back again. Yahoo search engine has no problem at all. Anyone know how to fix that PS: sometimes I get google authentication requirement, but this redirect issue is not link to that. They are happen at two different times

Hello! I´m soo frustrated right now - it seems i can not get my new iphone 5 to work... I broke the screen my iphone 5 aproximatley 4 mounths ago, and bought a new screen on ebay. I bought this for over 300 dollars, and got a friend to fix it. (and paid him as well) He broke one of the thin wires when he was changing the screen, making the front camera and speaker useless. Except that, the phone worked just fine. Then he bought a new wire, installed that, and i got it back. But now, it wont work! When i start it just a picture of an USB cable towards an itunes brand appear... and i have litterally tried everything. No matter what I do, I can not fix it, or restore it - the error code 1611 or 1603 appears om my mac screen when I connect it to itunes, and I get no further than that. And Ive uptaded all the programs, tried holding in home and of/on-button, go into the "hosts" on my mac (if you dont understand what i ment by that, just ask) Can somebody please help me?  Im cryin here, Ive used so much money on this and it does not work. Whats wrong with it? Ive tried every possible solution that appears on google, NOTHING works. I didn't bought the phone from Apple, but maybe I can send it in to them and I can get a new one? I dont expect that, but Ive would be in heaven

Poor battery life iPhone 5

My iphone 5 has the latest ios 6.1.3 and the battery life is hit and miss. The phone has been factory wiped in itunes and re set up. It sometimes will drop 50 percent on its own in a couple hours. If i do the home button and power reset on the phone the battery will report better. Maybe its a software glitch. I was also disappointed with the fact that i bought a high end home stereo and the iphone doesnt support the new apt-x codec yet their laptops do?  Why is this. Its no wonder apple stocks are falling. I have owned every iphone since the 3gs and really have not seen any real improvements other than processors and screens. Poor customizations, lack of ability to personalize the phone and really nothing to keep me with buying another apple. This is unfortunate as the hardware is great but the feature set just hasn't improved in 5 years. In fact i think it has gotten worse. Being a communications tech i used to use wifi apps for testing signal strength on installed accesspoints and those apps got stripped be ause of apples sdk or whatever it was. The slew of apps on the android market for this is staggering. Now i see that motorola, htc and samsungs are all supporting the apt-x codec but no apple. Gps apps are poor and apple maps for our area are black and whit and half are covered in clouds from the satellite view so you cant see the streets anyways. As a business phone the iphone is looking less imoressive day by day. As a music player its also now being outdone. I hope apple takes some of this to heart and really does something impressive to IOS 7 to restore faith in its fans. And maybe some day we will be able to use one of our songs for a ring tone instead of having to pay. My old cdma phone even had this ability.

A few days ago I got my iPhone unlocked from my provider (Telstra) as I am about to travel and wanted to put a country specific sim in it. Since then no non-Apple apps have worked.I have tried (many times) to :- 1. restore from a previous backup (plus multiple syncs) and using different backups2. delete an app and reinstall it3. download a new free app (and when that didn't work I deleted it and retried installing it)4. sign in and out of the app store on the iphone5. sign in and out of the app store on my iMac6. de-authorise and re-authorise my iMac7. wipe the iPhone clean and start with a fresh install8. And reset the device too many times. Nothing I have found on any site has worked. I thought the wipe the phone clean would have done it but it hasn't.I have wasted about 20 hours trying to get this thing working again. If I wasn't going on vacation tomorrow I would be at my provider getting them to fix their mess but I can't. Can anyone help? My only concern about updating my iOS or Carrier Settings is that I don't want to loose google maps until Apple has worked on their map app and fixed most of the bugs in it.  My daughter upgraded her iOS and we have taken trips together.  google is not as "pretty" but is much, much more accurate and easier to use (IMHO).

I keep trying to open the game app "what's the phrase". It will start to launch and act like it's going to open, but then the screen goes black and it goes back to my home page. This seemed to start happening after I downloaded the update for that particular app a few days ago. I've tried downloading a random app from the app store, as suggested in other forums but that did not work! Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated!

Bought an iPhone 5 from Dubai week ago and am having constant problem with touchscreen going haywire. It starts flickering and apps keep opening and closing. Did hard reset restore numerous times same issue. experiencing same issue

No device is "bulletproof". Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until te issue is resolved.  If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

hey guys  i bought my iphone 4s about 4 months ago, and about  month ago when i came back from camping i turned on my iphone wich was turned of for about 5 days (at home in my drawer). i had  9 updates listed on the app store and let them update  all off them at the same time. meanwhile i was also on a Viber call.(using wifi) then after 10 minutes or so the call died.the wifi could not connect anymore and later the wifi option turned grey and could not be turned on or off.i reset the iphone , and also rebooted the device . still the wifi option remained grey.during this period after, the iphone also was turning very hot  at times and the battery could not hold longer then 4 hours. about 2 weeks after the wifi option turned grey, one morning when i got up i realised that my battery percentage was still high(usually if i went to bed with 100% , it was about 50%or so when i got up.). then i went to the wifi option and realised that i could turn it on.it got connected to the wifi and check if it was working by opening facebook. i was functioning normally as if nothing had happened. i remember that  night was really cold and  i had my airconditioning on . that same day  i realised the wifi could not stay connected for long  to wifi . the battery issue remained normal when the wifi cant connect i put the iphone in the refrigarator for about ten minutes. and when i take it out the wifi works again after that the wifi can hold for about an 2 or more depending on what i do on my phone.  i did no try to take it for repair , not yet i just want to know if im the only one with this problem and what the problem really is.and if putting youre iphone in the refrigarator can do damage. thanks in advance

Ios 6.1.2 issue iphone 4

Since I upgraded my phone to ios 6.1.2, the phone becomes slow on opening applications. Another issue is whenever the signal is searching, the phone is freezing for a moment until the signal becomes stable. This was not an issue on ios 5.1.1.  This is bad..

I have updated my Iphone 5 to IOS 6 latest version (6.1.3) last week. Since then, Apple maps doesn't display maps anymore on screen. GPS position and directions appear but on a blank screen. 3G and LTE aren't teh problem, iut works well with other apps and google maps. Is there anyone having the same issue ?

I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? I have powered off, updated phone andanything on yoru site I couldl handle myself to do.Can you fix this? Or is it a Verizon Wireless issue?

google Chrome app disappears iPhone 3G

Cannot install Chrome browser on iPhone 3GS, iOS version 6.1.2. I installed Adobe Edge Inspect which requires Chrome. App Store shows Chrome 'Free' button but it is greyed out and does not respond. When iPhone is connected to iMac to sync apps, iTunes says Chrome is installed but there is no Chrome icon on my iPhone. Rebooted iPhone, uninstalled Adobe Edge Inspect and google Chrome in iTunes, rebooted again, reinstalled google Chrome - can see installation progress bar on iPhone, but as soon as Chrome finishes installing, its icon disappears from iPhone. Chrome is still listed in iTunes as installed but not visible on iPhone. App Store will not let me re-download Chrome - says it is already downloaded. Going around in circles here! In desperation, also tapped Reset Home Screen in iPhone Settings, which did indeed move my icons around but still no Chrome. Any ideas please?

3g data connection on iPhone 4s inconsistent

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari.  Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text.  Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result.  Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem.  Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset.  I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, google maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple maps, google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?

GPS on iPhone 4S

Hello Everyone, I have a question in reference to the iPhone 4s GPS.  I'm going to use google maps to find directions between 2 locations (point A to point B) while I'm on Wi-Fi on my iPhone 4s. Neither of the locations that I'm finding directions between will be my current location.  When I get to point A I will not have any cellular or data service whatsoever.  My question is if I use google maps (keep it running in the background) when I get to point A will it be able to give me real time movement (the blue dot) when I get to point A so I can use google maps to find my way to point B.  Will the GPS be utilized at the point?  Also if I hit the button on google maps to display my current location will it do that. All help and knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

My iPhone 4s not making noise except for when someone calls me an alarm going off or unlocking it.

I have no sound except for my ringtone, alarm, and sometimes the unlocking noise. No text alerts, email alerts, media noise, Pandora noise, iTunes noise, anything. First on my own I restored it to factory settings, cleaned the dock and head jack, did the head phone trick in and out, and I have checked for water damage. I have searched the threads and google for solutions but none have worked. I talked to Apple today and they made me restore it again and it still doesn't work. ^Usually theres a volume bar on videos, none here. ^Theres no thing to slide the sound back and forth here. ^Also no sound bar here.

Mail only working over Cellular no WiFi Networks. iPhone 3G

A couple of days ago my Mail service at home stopped working. I only can receive Emails when I switch off WiFi and use my AT&T 4G. At home I am using a whole Apple enviorment and all my devices (iPad mini (6.1.1), iPhone 4S (6.1.2), iPad (5.1.1), MacBook Pro (10.8.2)) can not receive Emails. When I am going to iCloud.com I can send and receive mails on my Mac, but over the OS X Mail.app and iOS Mail.app nor receiving nor sending works. I am using several Accounts on all deveices (iCloud, Yahoo!, google and AOL) most of them are not working, only AOL received one mail yesterday. My first thought was of course the WiFi network which might have problems with the Apple Mail program, but I already tried another network with my iPhone. In this other network I am getting an error on my iPhone which tells me "Cannot get Mail. Connection to server failed." On my Mac at home mail.app tells me that my account are offline and that there might be a problem with iCloud, for more information visit iCloud support etc. Yes I did restart my deveices, yes I tried deleting and adding the mail account, yes I tried restarting the WiFi and yes I did that with iOS and OS X.

Has Apple maps been fixed I have held off on iOS 6. iPhone 3G
