My battery is discharged too fast, as the manual says i charged for the first time a couple of hours ago.. but in 3 hours has been discharged...now i have a 78% battery...without any use..no calls no message no games..i deactivated the 3g option...and im not using any app right now..no pics no music etc...may i need to contact support? this iphone is new..i buy this phone last week..

my iphone 4s volume isn't working

My iPhone 4S volume isn't working. No sound when playing music. No ring or text message sound. If I try to turn volume up for ringer on side, the box appears, but no bar to show volume up or down. If I do a test ring in settings it works though. Silent switch is in the correct position. I tried a hard reboot (ignored the red slider). It worked a minute ago but then stopped again. It seems like it might have the problem when I'm trying to play music. Thanks! 

my iPhone 5 has NO SOUND

My iphone was fine up until a few hours ago. Now the sound has stopped completely. It does not ring, alert me for texts, play music, or anything. I made sure that my phone is not on silent or vibrate, have restarted my phone several times, and have even reset the settings on my phone. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I want to start over iPhone

So I got my iPhone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iPhone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iPhone to ONLY my computer... When I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). Long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. When I do have my iPhone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... Anything helps... Thank you.

iPhone 5 Battery drain when not using Wifi also gets hot.

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my iPhone 5, if I am away from a wifi connection I experience high battery drain & the phone will sometimes get hot.Generally I am in the office or at home & the phone will be connected to a wifi hotspot, however yesterday I was out of the office in meetings etc, I didn’t have access to any wifi so used 3G data, I was in London in areas with generally good 3G coverage.  The battery went from 100% to 0% in 9 hours with what I would call minimal usage as follows.4 minutes worth of calls.25 received emails5 sent emails9 photos taken1 hour streaming music via Bluetooth20 minutes reading from news stand5 minutes in the facebook app5 minutes using the Maps app2 minutes viewing London Tube Map app  This appears to be a problem with the data receiving part of the phone as when I have access to wifi the battery life is generally fine.  I have had iPhones for about 3 years & never had issues like this. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

My iPhone 5 wont play music through my headphones.

When playing music through the headphones that were provided with my phone, I would hear a crackling noise. Then it would shut off and pause on my phone. When I press play it doesn't play until I wiggle the hpeadphone jack. I put my headphones into my computer and It worked perfectly fine. So I deduced that it was a problem with my headphone port on my iPhone. Any suggestions? Also I just got this yesturday so its in warranty.

ok so i just woke up and turned on my phone and everything i went downstairs playing some music and my iphone just turned offit had 97 percent battery and just turned off i tried waiting and letting the barrty die and then recharging but still no progress i tried going on my laptop and plugging in the iphone but it wont reconize my iphone. my iphone wont charge at all and shows no life within the phone at all i tried other peopels cords but no progress i was wondering if you guys could hlep me out?

iPhone 4S Multitouch doest work properly while in charge

it is just recently when i noticed that my iPhone 4S doest play so nice with muti touch especially to pinch to zoom on either pictures, ibooks, and webpages,,, when I do multitouch,, the screen just go wild and the images shakes, and worst, the screen doest respond totally in multitouch,, i have no problem in one finger navigations like tap to zoom etc,, it is just the multitouch while in charge.... I have no problem when the phone is not charging it runs smoothly... what could be the problem?? also I notices that after i juiced up the battery a while (after 45mins) the problem on the multitouch seems to disappear, but when you reconnect it again it persist... is there anyone experienced the same? and what would be the solution... apple refuses to accept my complaint because when i brought it to apple store it behaves normally even while in charge,, im using the supplied charger...

iPhone 5 Audio Port Issue

When I'm in my car listening to music from my phone with an audio jack it sounds great. But when I plug it in to charge at the same time you get a loud static noise. Does anyone have anything that might fix this? Also I think it's probably from the audio jack and the charging port being so close together.

When making call I can t hear person I am calling but they can hear me. How I fix this problem iPhone

Hey guys, I can play music and hear it just fine, with or without headphones. When I press on the keypad I can hear the noise it makes, I can hear calls with my headphones plugged in, or when the speaker option is on, however, unless this happens, I can't hear the person I am on the phone with. I've tried restarting, resetting, earasing all content, and restoring it with iTunes and that didn't work. I've tried cleaning the ports with a toothbrush, or pressing gently on the microphone and that didn't work.I've tried calling with the headphone on, and taking them off in the middle of the call and that didn't work either. I am currently outside of the US so I can't go to an Apple store, so I am wondering if any of you guys have been succesful at solving this problem. Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "music" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. I have problem with my iphone4, the speaker volume of my iphone is decreased dnt know how but when i play songs and also ringtones to output audio sounds very low.  Although the speaker volume is set to maximum but still the output is not accordingly. Speaker volume is to small. Please help me.

Home button lagging up to hours iPhone 5

Last night my Home button just stopped working. So i started using the AssistiveTouch, then when i was sending a text, then my phone started to use the home button by itself. Like all my clicks had been queued up. I'm talking hours afterwards. Then for a bit, the button worked like it should. But after i put it to sleepmode, the same thing happened.And just now, i playing Candy crush(lol!) it just started again. I couldn't play because it kept going using the home button by itself. Starting voice control etc etc.. I have tried resetting rebooting the phone, I have tried to reset the phone and I have tried to recalibrate the home button. I mean, I could live with a  few seconds delays, but 10 hours? Nope  Any advice is appreciated, otherwise i'll guess I have to go to the closest store.

My iPhone will not play any sounds, except for phones calls and my ringer. The volume will not work; when I press them the volume icon pops up on the screen, the volume won't change and the volume bar doesn't move on the screen. Also the volume control slider has disappeared on the locked screen music controls. What should I do? I don't want trade in.

I was just listening to music when I dropped my iphone 4s on to my floor. (It has an otterbox on it). After I picked it up, nothing would play through the headphones. I tried rebooting it, cleaning the headphone jack and I'm going to try to restore it. If this doesnt work any suggestions?

Can't get phone to turn back on iPhone 4S

I was trying to download music on ITunes and my phone was plugged into the computer, then something popped up asking if I wanted to download a new software and I did. It downloaded and then my phone turned off. It won't turn back on but the screen has a  picture of an auxiliary chord and an arrow pointing towards the ITunes icon. So I plugged it back into ITunes and it still won't turn on and that picture won't go away either. I have tried holding down the lock button & home button at the same time for 10 seconds but that didnt do anything either. I have no idea how to get it back on. PLEASE HELP

I don't really know if this is the correct place to post this but well..I've been using the standard Iphone 5 headphones for a while now until recently they stopped working as they should, won't play/pause using the button thingy on them. So I tested them on my friends Iphone 4 and they worked as they should. So just wondering if I've damaged the hardware in the phone somehow or changed any settings by mistake

At home I have two Macs, one for work and another which acts as a sort of entertainment hub storing all my music, podcasts and videos as well as being for the family to use. Is it possible to sync my one iPhone to both Macs, with the work one just syncing things like my contacts, emails, calendars and apps while the other Mac would sync just the podcasts and music to the iPhone.Would this cause any problems and what is the correct way to go about this? Thanks for any help, tips and advice.

Podcast app volume too low iPhone 3G

I'm using the official Podcast app since its been introduced and even with various updates inc the one a few weeks back the volume level at max is often too low. Other audio and music is not a problem, but if I'm listening to a podcast via the app on a train or in a crowd the background noise makes its barely audible. Is there some way to boost the volume via some settings?

iPhone 5 battery life and speaker issues

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but firstly. The battery life *****. And really *****. I let phone completely drain at least twice a month. Then fully charge it. Not a huge user but data I know eats it. We are talking literally within two hours of not using it and it will be down to 59%. Didn't expect this off a phone like this. iPhone 4S beats it hands down. Considering going back to it tbh.  Speaker issues are terrible. Tried the music on full pause. Then exit. Then test but still nothing. Rang apple they say its not a fault but why would other people be reporting it.  iPad 4 users. Do you have issues with battery life too? And very slow charge and very quick drain. This is a joke. Nearly a Grands worth of kit and you feel like your using a Nokia 3310.  #annoyed!

I can t add music to my iphone 5 from mac air.

I recently purchased a macbook air and synced the iPhone 5 to it. It synced and all the music that was on my phone is now on my mac. However, when i download new music, it won't let me drag and drop or right click to press "add to". That option also doesn't appear, whether i purchased a song or not. The songs im trying to add aren't purchased from itunes and i downloaded them from a youtube converter. Everything is synced between the phone and mac but i can't figure out any other way to change it. I also have the newest version of itunes.

I bought a iPhone 5 a week ago, I first was able to put my purchased items from the iTunes store directly to my phone. I tried to sync my phone to my computer and it put stuff from my old iPhone to the new one. So i restore it and get it back to the factory settings that it was on, but when I tried to put music on it after I restored it back to the way it was, it won't let me put music on it. I later on clicked on my iPhone and on the "on this iPhone" tab, it says that I have the songs that I have been trying to put on it, on it. But the songs are grayed out..  SO WHAT DO I DO?

Can t find my audibook in itunes. iPhone 3G

I just bought an audibook off of itunes.  It was my first purchase from the itunes store.  I paid for it,  downloaded it, synced it ot my iphone.  The itunes library clearly showed the audiobook listed on my phone when I plug it into my computer.  However, I can't figure out how to actually play the book on the phone.  When I go to "audiobooks" on my itunes app is just brings up the store.  When I got to "more > purchased" I get a list of music, movies, and tv shows which all ready as empty.  When I refind the audibook in the store it lists it as "downloaded" but doesn't have anything on the page about actually accessing it.

Iphone 5 lack of sound

Even though I have my settings on loud, my iPhone 5 does not ring when I receive a text/phone call/etc. I don't think it's the speakers because my alarm goes off every morning, no matter if I have the sound on silent or loud. My music also plays just fine. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks!

Using Sharepod with iphone 5

Is there a trick to using Sharepod with the iphone 5? When I use sharepod 3.9.9.0 it corrupts the iphone database. I get the nice message "iTunes cannot read iPhone content".  I keep having to do this to fix the iphone database. https://discussions.apple.com/message/15637529#15637529 When I use the new version of sharepod I don't have the option to copy music from my computer to my iphone.  I am trying to copy music from my computer to my iphone. I would hope there would be a way to do this without using itunes. I really don't want to use itunes or like itunes at all. Is there a way to fix this problem with sharepod?   What other programs have the same functionality as sharepod that can copy music from your computer to your iphone 5 and vice versa?

I have an iPhone 5 right side middle of lock button has stopped working

I have a 16gb black iPhone 5 that I got on a contract in January. I noticed that the lock button began to play up and both sides weren't functioning very well. Well now the right side of the lock button and the middle has completely stopped working and only the side that is working ok is the left side - it feels to me like the lock button is stuck or has sunken in? If I take it to an Apple store, will they fix it for me there and then or will they give me a new phone and if they give me a new phone will it be in the same colour or can I choose? Many thanks!
