Estimada comunidad, Tengo problemas con el audio de mi iphone5, no me escuchan cuando llamo o me llaman, solo cuando hablo fuerte por el micrófono...alguien puede darme alguna solución?Gracias,
my phone has been like this for the last month and its getting really annoying so if anyone can help with this id be really greatful.
Its like my Microphone doesn't work with Videos and Speaker phone...its getting really annoying it works fine in Voice Memos and Voice calls (Without SP) Videos sound nothing but statis Anyone know how to fix this?
Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all. So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?
When I'm in my car listening to music from my phone with an audio jack it sounds great. But when I plug it in to charge at the same time you get a loud static noise. Does anyone have anything that might fix this? Also I think it's probably from the audio jack and the charging port being so close together.
it conncet last night on my way to work. On the way home i couldn't get it to connect i tried deleting from vehicle and tried re pairing it and it keeped giving me an error. I'm trying to pair with 2013 Dodge Journey it uses uconnect. thanks
My iPhone 4 doesn't record any audio when I record videos, nor does it record any audio when using video apps like vine and snapchat. I am still able to record voice memos, which seems strange. I have no problems making phone calls. **Just to get the obvious out of the way** - no the phone is not under warranty. - please do not suggest that I take it to a mac store, I am aware of this option, I am looking for alternative solutions. - It's definately a 4, it's not a 4S
Jakarta, 14 June 2013On Mac OS : 10.7.5 (Lion)On iTunes : 11.0.4Difficulty : intermediate - hard Assuming you know basic Ctrl+Click and Option+Drag... Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" : it's still "Apple MPEG-4 audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media" --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. Enjoy!
I have problem with my iphone4, the speaker volume of my iphone is decreased dnt know how but when i play songs and also ringtones to output audio sounds very low. Although the speaker volume is set to maximum but still the output is not accordingly. Speaker volume is to small. Please help me.
Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 5, and yesterday while trying to make a Vine while using the front-facing/FaceTime camera, I discovered that it didn't pick up any sound. However if I switch to the main camera (the HD one on the back), audio picks up and can be heard. This is a problem when I'm recording regular video too. Microphone works with the back camera, doesn't work with the front. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!
I'm using the official Podcast app since its been introduced and even with various updates inc the one a few weeks back the volume level at max is often too low. Other audio and music is not a problem, but if I'm listening to a podcast via the app on a train or in a crowd the background noise makes its barely audible. Is there some way to boost the volume via some settings?
Hi all, suddenly my iPhone 4 start decreasing volume when I start an audio and then stop playing, if I try to start playing again again decrease volume and stop. Also I noticed that my touch on the screen is not working fine as usual and also I'm losing battery much much faster than normal.do any of you face this case?any ideas?regards
Can i transmit audio from my iphone to opther iphones? Is there an App that does this? Or does iPhone ONLY transmit and not capable of receiving bluetooth? The goal is to have multiple iphones listening to my bluetooth audio output. How can this be done?
I have a bunch of voice memos that I need to move from my phone to my computer. I was able to playback the voice memos from my iphone within iTunes. It shows up as a playlist called Voice memos under my iphone. From there, there is no way to export the audio files to my actual computer. I can export the data as a text file but thats about it. The files are too long to email. Any suggestions? I am running on a mac with mountain lion.
I'm having poor sound & audio quality when placing calls. Sometime the call begins good and then the audio fades as the conversation is ongoing . The person becomes so low I can barely hear them. At the other times there is bad distortion or a static quality in the call.
When listening to my music it continues to repeat the previous song or audio books to the previous one played. Is there a way to stop this?
I have just picked up on a 'thing' with the video playback on the iPhone 5. It seems that dynamic range compression and/or EQ is applied to the soundtrack of videos. I first noticed it when I was trying to watch a few concert films and noticed that not only was the sound horrendous but during the high volume scenes, it was distorting. I have tested the same movies on an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad which don't seem to have this problem/feature. Has anyone else noticed it? And even better yet, figured out a way to get rid of it? Additional thoughts: I have also noticed that when you play music through the loudspeaker, some form of dynamic range compression is also applied to the sound. Personally I think it sounds terrible but I can understand why Apple would have done this. However, it doesn't affect the headphone output signal, thank goodness, SO, I speculate that it could be a bug that when a video is played, the OS isn't recognising that the headphones are no longer a loudspeaker and not bypassing the audio signal, therefore applying the compression to the sound. Playing the video audio through Bluetooth headphones removes the compression and distortion of the sound track in videos, and that would have been the solution, but now videos no longer play in sync with audio through Bluetooth on the iPhone 5. (Grr.) Last thing, the new EQ 'Late Night' that adds compression and EQs the sound in the Music app and sounds possibly like the effect that is being applied to video audio output.
My headphone output just went crazy. The phone restarted when I plugged in the headset and when it came back on it started distorting all the music. It also make a noise which stops about 10 seconds after I stop playing the music. I tried restarting the phone and also installed the latest software update. For me it doesnt seem like a hardware-problem. It's more like a bug in the audio-driver.. Anyone know anything about this?
Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iPhone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross
I can hear someone when I'm talking on the phone and if someone texts me while I'm talking on the phone I can hear it. Otherwise, my phone makes no sound unless earplugs are in. No ringer, no alarm, any video or audio....all silent. Even Siri is quiet!
Does anyone have audio fail problem on their iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4)? This happeded twice on my iPhone. First time was when I was using my phone as usual and it just suddently truned into mute by itself. The other one was when the alarm was ringing but no sound just vibration. I'm sure that I did not turn into silent mode. Except the sound, it still functions well. System just poped up a message asking me to reboot my device. It recovered after restart, but I still want to know how to deal with this problem.
Hi, I have an iPhone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with Skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto
I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me. About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped. It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again. It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back. I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff. SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty. I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Av cable only plays audio not video. Any way to make this work?
Recently, my iPhone 4s has been producing distortion in the right channel when playing back music and/or making VOIP calls. It is now starting on the left channel as well. Making cellular calls is fine (no distortion). Playing music through the doc connector is fine. Playing music through bluetooth is fine. Have I fried my onboard DSP for the onboard audio output devices? When I record video, audio is unbearably distorted.
I was given a iPhone 4s, my sister got another phone and I had an iPhone 3Gs. She failed to tell me the audio was giving her trouble... The phone rings and my alarms go off but when I'm on apps and playing music I can't hear anything... What can I do to fix it? I've tried restoring, restarting and resetting my phone and they haven't fixed the problem... This site I saw stated that when all else fails jailbreak your phone but I'm not sure what that will do to my phone. What else can I do?
Problem with Volume:What happens is that sometimes I have is that when playing music / videos suddenly going to the iPhone and the audio volume control disappears, and it takes to bring up again, do not know what's going on or why do that, if someone happens something similar and could arrange, please can tell me what are the steps to follow to remove this annoyance. Problem with the Player / Music:The song is already finished and not changed the cover art and the other begins to ring, or the song is playing and the bar of the song (not the volume) does not advance stays at 0:00 and the song is playing and even just the song begins and the other that originally put this on the main screen. Do not know if this problem comes associated with volume control. Actually if anyone knows how to solve these two drawbacks agradecere it much.
Hi folks, Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of Airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting Airplay (Youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!
Hi guys. Today when I played music through spotify to my car audio system (through minijack), my iPhone 5 turned itself off in the same way it does when the battery is empty. At this point, the battery was at 40%. When I tried turning it on immediately after, the 'connect to power outlet' symbol showed up. I also remember I used the snapchat app at that point. Now a couple of hours later, I could turn it on normally and I have 40% power left. At the moment I'm running iOS 6.1.3 and I've never experienced this before. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be related to the amount of power drawn through the headphone jack? Thanks!
ok i've seen this brought up a lot on here so it's definitely happened to other people, where the 'other' bar that shows up on itunes when it shows what's taking up space on your phone takes up way too much space. my phone has 8GB of space (which is apparently only 6.34GB). my audio files are only taking up 2.66GB. i don't have any apps on my phone because i thought if i deleted them it might do something but it didn't, and i can't download any more. i can't use the camera at all. the other bar is taking up 3.66GB of space on my phone and i have no idea what to do. i've searched online for like 2 weeks trying to find a way to get rid of it but it's still there. i already tried restoring it and it didn't do anything. i tried the 'phone clean' thing and it didn't do anything. i saw this comment on a discussion on here that said to go into advanced settings under the safari settings and delete all the web history and i did that and i thought it fixed it but it didn't. i'm still looking up things that could work but i honestly have no idea what to try anymore. is there anything i can do to get rid of it ??
I've been using my iPhone 4 connected to my 2010 Honda CRV via aux cable for a full year no pbs. Yesterday, in the middle of a song, it just suddenly stopped. The on/off click comes through, but no other audio (no iTunes, audio books, etc). I thought it might have just been a bum cable, so I tried a new cable. Nope. So then thought it was my phone - but audio works fine w/headphones (and its own speakers). Then I tried connecting the phone to my husband's 1997 Toyota FJ - and had the exact same problem. So - two different cars (on which the aux connection has always worked with my iPhone 4), three different aux cables. The weird thing is that the on/off click comes through on both car speakers when it's connected, just no other audio. Oh, and I connected the phone to my CRV USB (which for some reason I'd never done before...) and it works just fine. Even better sound quality than before. But since my Husband and I often switch cars, and his doesn't have a USB port...would love to figure out what's going on so I can listen to my iPhone in his car. Any suggestions on trouble shooting?
My phone stopped playing audio on apps suddenly. The speaker works, the ringer, music, and all. But no sound on apps. Anybody have this issue?
Lock Sound, Keyboard Clicks, Message Tone & any YouTube audio not working
Well, this is the situation, iPhone 4S stops ringing and producing any audio FX only do vibrating alerts. No ring at incoming callsNo ring at incoming messagesNo sound in music player (but I have sound with inserted headphones plug)No sound at any appAnd Yes, I passed through "volume configuration", "side button", "do not disturb", "restore", "re-set" and all of the possible "common sense" options. Otherwise I would not be looking for a solution here, where people go to find solutions in the last place, when all other options have been exhausted. There is a lot of rumors about last "defective" iOS upgrades and many people reporting the same kind of problem: Our expensive apparatus stops producing sound. If I can't hear incoming calls it means it's not a phone anymore.Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't want to read "Build your own iPhone" book. I just want to know if is there a solution for this particular problem or not? If "yes", what I have to do? If "not" I want my money back. (well the last argument is not for you guys).
I am looking to purchase the Nike Fuel Band, but I currently am using a Bluetooth audio Radio with my iPhone. It is a Pioneer XBH-5500 2013 model that handels my audio and my bluetooth handsfree calling in my car. At the same time, I sometimes use a pair of bluetooth stero over-the-head headset to listen to music. I am wanting to know if there will be any issue with the performance of the Nike Fuelband tracking my performance, showing me time and/or anything else if I have another device paired with my iPhone 5?
I am running iOS 6.1.3. Recently, and I am not sure if it is related to a recent update or not, but my download speeds have dramatically decreased. I download audio books on a regular basis and they are typically about 120mb in size. These files would typically download in a minute or so. The downloads are now taking 2 -4 hours. I installed speedtest.net to test my speed. My download speeds are ranging between .05 Mbps and .19 Mbps. My upload speeds is consistently over 5 Mbps. I thought that it might be due to my router but I connected my phone to another router with the same results. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Spencer
Try Smart Recorder DE. My wife uses this app when she records interviews.
Going to start using my Uncle's iPhone 4, however the audio chip is faulty. How much will it cost to have the same replaced? The phone is not under warranty anymore.
Hello. I have an iPhone 4. Software version is 4.3.5. I currently have the sound button on. No headphones plugged. When push the sound button up or down, I have on scree the usual volume screen, however, it says ringer (headphones) instead of just ringer. I have no sounds coming from apps (notifications...) and no sound coming from locking (it is set on on the settings). I cannot listen to the iPod music without headphones (no sound comes out of speakers). I only have these sounds when I plug headphones and the sounds come via headphones. Also, if I have the iPod on, with headphones, the iPod does not turn off when I remove headphones. I already switched it off and tried forced reset. Any ideas to solve this, please? Thank you
I have recently updated my iPhone and there is no audio? I can hear it when my phone rings or gets a message but I can't hear music or videos unless I have my headphones in, when I am in the music app it dosnt even have the volume bar it usually has, it's just blank and the volume buttons on the side don't seem to do anything?
Hi experts, need some help. I've had my iP4 for 2 years now, mostly trouble free. Recently my sounds have "mostly" stopped working and I just can't figure out why. I've done a lot of troubleshooting so here is what the symptoms are: - Volume up/down buttons do not work, nothing happens when pressed- Silent switch does not work, nothing happens when switched- Lock sound does not happen- Phone does not ring (only vibrates)- Phone does not alert or chime - Some apps audio does not work, but most apps play audio fine (youtube, music, videos, most games, etc)- When selecting ring-tone or alert sounds I can hear the sound, so the speaker is working fine Here is what I've tried- check all settings and switches, certainly not a setting issue- cleaned the dock connector with a brush, it is very clean- cleaned headphone jack, and insert/remove headphones multiple times- wiped all settings and restored to factory settings- updated to latest ios6 firmware- deleted "com.apple.iapd.plist" file using iexplorer, did nothing Seems like I'm just about out of options now! Thanks for any help.
My iphone 4s has suddenly begun to have weak incoming call audio. Everything else works fine. I have reset it from factory settings and reloaded as advised by Apple Tech support..This didn't help. Anyone have a solution?
My iPhone 5 suddenly lost its audio function. There is no sound from the speakers: no music, podcasts, ring, ringtones, game sounds, etc. Rings from incoming calls do not sound. Voice mail cannot be heard. When I speak to someone via the phone they hear me, but I cannot hear them while using the phone's speaker. When using the audio-out jack I DO hear sound. Also, the phone's vibrate feature works. This loss of audio occurred suddenly while I was speaking at a desk, not moving. I then checked the Apps, and I found I could not hear their audio output from the phone's speaker. I could only hear their output from the audio-out jack. I have restarted the iPhone 5 several times. I restored the software on the iPhone 5. I am using IOS version 6.1.2 (10B146). Has anyone had a similar phenomenon? Any suggestions to resolve this problem?
When I go on iTunes, there are about 2 GB of apps, less than one of audio, about one for photos, and over 8 for the yellow bar, "other". What is this? I'm worried about it because I only have about 3 GB left on my phone. How do I fix it?
When talking storage on iphone 4s, I understand audio, video, photos, and apps. What is considered 'other'? And how can I reduce that number, what can I delete to create more space?
My new iPhone 5 does not record audio when using the camera to record video. Any suggestion welcome
Hello I got a really strange and annoying problem regarding my iphone 4 audio jack. the problem is whenever I play a sound the right channel of the headphones play's music really scrappy and low quality, especially the bass. but on the left channel everything works as it suppose. I am starting to suspect that it is a hardware because even after a clean restore it is the same and if the volume level is under half'ish then the right channel will barely work untill the volume is raised to 3/4 of the max volume making it seem more hardware related. thing I tried: clean IOS restore checking the jack with other headphones/stereo systems all of which gave the same results (right channel scrappy and left is clear) I also tested the headphones themselves. thanks Tal
Since I've updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1.1, I can't use my phone to play music or follow directions through my car audio system via USB. The phone recognizes that it is plugged in and charges, but will not play music through the speakers and directions from Maps are not read through the speakers like in previous iOS versions. The way I know it is the iOS instead of the connector is because I tried my sister's 4S on iOS 6.1 and it worked. Her iPod on iOS 6.1 also worked. Please send a fix for this.
I recently started having problems with my Iphone 5 on February 1st. I've looked all over the internet for solutions and I could not find out why my audio that was playing through the audio port (through headphones) was crackling, distorted, and varying in sound. As well as the audio being affected, the control switch on the heaphones will not work either. I called apple and they had me restore my phone and after that failed, I brought it in to apple in which they replaced in with a working model. Two days after, my iphone is doing the same thing. I have decided that the backup file I used is corrupted, and hopefully an IOS 6.1.x will provide a solution, or my case that I use (Lifeproof) has affected the headphone jack. Possibly the use of the adapter that is screwed in and out has affected the hardware. I only used the adapter roughly 10 times on the new iphone 5, so I don't believe that hypothesis strongly. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same kind of audio problems.
Hi, has anyone tried the iPhone 5 with the lightning adapter in the life fitness treadmills that have iPod 30pin connectors. I tried myself and it didn't work, it recognizes the iPhone which charges and says accessory connected in the iPhone screen but apparently an image with controls of my music library are supposed to appear in the treadmill. Is this an "iPod out" functionality or is it because video is not supported or there is something I am missing (first time I try to connect iPhone/iPod to these machines). I was wondering if somebody else has tried. Thanks ps: I have sent an email o Life Fitness with this issue as they said before that audio should work and I am awaiting their answer.
