iphone 4s turning off every minute

My iphone is turning itself off every minute.  I've tried a reset while hooked to a computer and it doesnt even give it enough time to complete the reset before it shuts down again.  Keep getting error messages or looses the connection. Hard reboot doesnt work either.  Please help

iphone 4s Wifi problem, After using the device of 7 month. wifi is not working. BEFORE WAS WORKING FINE and now wifi is not able to identify. I tried all the possibilities to fix the wifi, such as resetting network, restart the phone, restore from iTune and setup as new phone, but the problem remain same. turning on the wifi can't recognise any network. any other idiea to fix the wifi of iphone. iMessage isn't working. Again iphone 4

I have the iphone 4. iMessage was fine after the iOS 6.1.3 to begin with, but these last 3 days I haven't even been able to send one. My phone doesn't even recognise when someone has iMessage either. Have tried turning iMessage on and off, tried restarting the phone, have even restored it back to before the problems I have been having

My iphone wont turn on after updating

My iphone 4G was updating to the latest i.OS software on itunes (on my windows computer). As usual, my phone had to restart. It turned off, but as it was turning on (when the screen just shows that silver apple logo) an error message came up on itunes saying that it couldnt update the software (I forgot to get the error number). But my phone is stuck with that silver apple logo on it. My computer tells me to restore my phone, which I tried, but everytime I do that, itunes says "extracting software" and then it says "preparing to restore" then it comes up with an error message (number 2009). I have tried restarting my computer. My phone is stuck like this. What should I do? Please help!

iphone 5 keeps turning itself off

Hi Ive had iphone 5 since it came out, and recently this year, its been turning itself off with plenty of battery life and wont allow me to turn it back on until I have plugged it into wall charger to 'charge' it back up.  When its plugged in, it returns to the battery level it was originaly at....30%, 50% for example. Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Im going to do a iCloud and computer back up and restore firmware see if that helps?Chris

iphone 4 battery drain when powered off

Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iphone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

Okay so first my iphone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iphone 5 and restored my old settings to the iphone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iphone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

iphone 5-Backlight turns off when I get text

I have been having an issue with my backlight turning off completely when I receive a text message on my iphone 5. It is very random. It doesn't happen every day, just once in a while. My screen will be completely off, then it will fully light up when I receive a text message, then 1-2 seconds later the backlight will go off completely but the screen will remain on. Even if I hit the home button, the backlight won't come on.  I have to hit the power button to turn the screen off, then hit the power button again to turn the screen back on, then the backlight comes back on. I don't have auto brightness or anything like that turned on. Any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Black screen iphone 4

I have an iphone 4. This morning I Fell and dropped it and the back cracked. Just about 45 minutes ago, my phone was knocked out of my hand and it fell on the floor. I picked it up and it would vibrate when i would get texts but the screen was black. I had heard somewhere that holding down the home and lock button down would fix the phone if it was frozen. it didn't seem to work. But when I got home I plugged my phone into the computer just to see what would happen. i thought i saw something faint light up on the screen. it looked like a usb cord. so i took the phone into a dark room but i let a little light hit it too. At just the right angle i could see the usb cord with an arrow pointing to an iTunes sign. so I connected it to iTunes on my computer. In just the right angle, I could see that i could unlock my phone. My phone screen was really dark so i tried turning up the brightness but it didnt work. So if just the right light hits the phone i can somewhat see the screen.Out of that light it just looks like the screen is black.  I'm thinking that the screen light went out when my phone was kncked out of my hand. any help or advice?

Yesterday, While "updating all apps" the apps turned gray, they say "waiting", and are frozen like this more than 24 hours later.  I tried reseting my phone; tried holding the lock and home buttons down at the same time, and let the battery die and recharged it. Nothing worked.

iphone 4s Software Update fail from 5.1.1 to 6.1.3

Hey everyone I have been holding back from updating my iOS on my iphone 4s (I know - not a smart move) I am currently still on 5.1.1 and trying to update to 6.1.3 (finally) from the phone itself (not via iTunes) I am trying to downlaod and install the update using Wi-Fi connectivity, but it just wouldn't let me? Kept saying An Error occured while downloading... It didn't give me any error code or any other explanation. It just simply won't update  I know it was silly of me to begin with for not updating for so long, but I don't understand why my phone is rejecting the update? If this is even what is happening..  Also I sent my iMac for repair recently, came back with a Lion (which was what I had on there previously anyway) but it wasn't updated? So I couldn't just open iTunes and restore all my contacts..  AND I am still currently in the process of downloading the updates - but something always happens as well, an error occured that I have to re-download the update, internet drops on and off, etc.  -- The reason I wanted to update was (this is a whole separate problem) my 4s kept crashing the apps, not doing anything out of ordinary - it just crashes everytime i start or a open an app. So I would hard reset my phone (turning it off and on again) and then I would find all my contacts gone. No other entries are gone, just my contact names! All messages and calendar entries are all still there - just no contact names in my address book. ***? After sleuthing here and there, and found no real solution to this problem. I decided to update my iOS because one of the discussion thread I found told me to try that. Heck, why not.  SO I tried uploading and this is where I end up..    Does ANYONE have any idea what the **** is going on? Does anyone else out tehre have the same problem? Surely this is not just me!!

my sound isnt working iphone 4S

My silent switch is not on, ive tried turning it on and off, ive tried hitting the volume buttons on the side and it brings up the ringer volume icon but it doesnt have those white squares under it anymore. none of my apps will play the sound they are supposed to and when my phone rings the sound only comes on sometimes. i didnt drop it or anything either. i went to bed and woke up and it wasnt working. how do i fix it?

Battery life-iphone 4

Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity.  After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours.  I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iphone 4 battery?  My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

Turn off everything except GPS iphone 5

I have a CDMA iphone (Verizon), and I frequently hike using an app that tracks my route with GPS. However, the battery drains completely in 3-4 hours partly because the phone is looking for a cellular network. I tried turning on Airplane Mode, but that also disables the GPS. Of course, I have turned off cellular data and bluetooth, but the phone keeps looking for a cellular (voice) network. I have checked forums and people with GSM phones simply remove the SIM card, but I can't do that since I have a Verizon phone. Is there any way to turn off the battery-draining search for a cellular network when I am in remote areas?

what can i to unfreeze my messages iphone 4S

I'm assuming I sent way to many messages out at once and now my messages won't work. I tried turning off my phone and turning it back on but it won't work. I'm not sure what else I can do to unfreeze it.

iphone wont turn on

my iphone 4 wont turn on. its been on charge for about five hours now. it says its charging because it comes up withthe battery with a lightening bolt, but the battery is off course red. how do i get it to work again? also latelt my phone has been randomly turning it self off and saying it has no battery when it had about 70% before it turned off. in order for it to turn on i have to put my phone on charge and works. i have noticed this when i go from a warm place (like inside) to a colder place (like outside) its starting to get annoying. How do i fix this?

aws unlocked iphone 5

I bought a full price Unlocked iphone 5 from Apple back in January to use on Straight Talk. I had some issues with data on Straight Talk not being reliable and I had to keep turning data off and on again to get a connection. Now that TMobile is supporting the iphone at the same price as Straight Talk I figured i'd give them a try - after all that's what having an unlocked phone with no contrat is all about right? I'm a free agent. So i signed up however i don't get 3G anyhere, and my 4G coverage is spotty (talking HSPA+ 4G not LTE). This is because my $599 unlocked phone doesn't have AWS support.  My question is why won't Apple release an update that will allow my identical hardware to work the way the one would if i bought it from TMobile? It's the same A1428 Model, the ony difference is the software.  I really don't have to have to sell my older A1428 to buy a new A1428 from TMobile just to get it to work when it should have anyway.  Can someone respond as to what Apple plans to do about this? Thanks,Andrew

iphone 5 turning off at 40 battery power

Hi guys. Today when I played music through spotify to my car audio system (through minijack), my iphone 5 turned itself off in the same way it does when the battery is empty. At this point, the battery was at 40%. When I tried turning it on immediately after, the 'connect to power outlet' symbol showed up. I also remember I used the snapchat app at that point. Now a couple of hours later, I could turn it on normally and I have 40% power left. At the moment I'm running iOS 6.1.3 and I've never experienced this before.  Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be related to the amount of power drawn through the headphone jack?  Thanks!

Dropped iphone in water

I was in the bathroom and my phone fell into a bucket that had a bit of water in it. I immediately took it out and my sister blew in a few areas and I dried some holes with tissue and tested to see if anything wasn't working (sound basically. everything was working fine, though the sound was a bit low) and then I turned it off. After maybe 2 minutes we put it in a bag of rice. Throughout this whole event the LED light in the back has been on and it still is. It's been an hour since it happened. Why isn't the light turning off and do you think my phone will be fine in a couple of days? The thing is I literally just went to the Apple store today to replace the iphone I had that didn't let me turn my phone off and on (the power button was basically stuck).

Bluetooth won't turn on iphone 5

Hi there, Have a problem with my iphone 5. When I try and turn on Bluetooth it gets stuck on the turning wheel icon and never turns on. About three days ago my iphone decided to display the incorrect time at first it was an easy fixjust correct it using the clock app-thingy, then it got worse, so I shut it down that worked and hasstayed that way and me and my iphone became friends again.... UNTILI got home to charge it, I put it on the charger and it didn't take. I hooked it up to my original charger - nothingthe computer - nothinga friends charger - nothingbought a different offical charger - nothingshook it - nothingrestarted it - nothinglet the battery drain til it's dead and restarted it - nothingpunched it in the face - hospital visitbought it flowers and choclates - nothingwhispered sweet nothings into it's earpiece - nothingtook it back to where I bought it - nothing, was told to restart it by shutting it down for 10 mins then turning it back on - NOTHING.  Frustrated, I go back to my friends house and attempted it one more time at her request, guest what - it worked, same charger as before but it worked.  UNTILI get home and hooked it back up to my charger, my original charger, my computer - and got nothing ALL OVER AGAIN...  Nothing seems to work with this thing, what's going on??

iphone 4 has very short WiFi range

I have an 8Gb iphone 4 that I bought new in December.  Two days ago, it stopped connecting to my home WiFi network unless it is really close to my router, and it won't connect to my university's WiFi network either.  When I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows that no networks are in range.  It connects to my home router when I take it within four feet of the router, but when I walk to a different room it disconnects and goes back to 3G; I haven't found a router at school to try this with yet.  My phone has auto-connected to both my home and school networks for months now.  I know the problem is with the phone, because my Macbook Pro connects to both networks without any trouble. I've tried turning my phone's WiFi off and on, turning my phone off and on, and turning the WiFi off, then turning the phone off, then turning both back on to no avail.  Any help is appreciated.

I bought iMovie and when I try and download it my phone says there is not enough software available. I know that iMovie takes up 496MB but I have 901MB available so I don't know why it won't download. I've already tried turning off the phone and redo downloading it but nothing is working!

iphone 4 Sound Isn t working

Hey guys, I have a iphone 4,I noticed when I switch the silent button off it doesn't show the picture(symbol) on the screen. No sound when typing, Recieving calls or messages, App sounds (background music etc) . Although i can play music just fine, When i go into my setting > (sound) i can select the ringtones and messages and they play back... Just wont play back when i recieve phone calls or messages.  (I've tried resetting everything, turning the iphone off.... Nothing made a difference)    I'd be gratefull if someone could resolve this Problem

Battery life and unresponsive buttons iphone 5

Hi all, So just got two slightly paranoid questions, but as my iphone 5 is brand new I just want to be sure. Battery lifeSo I had a 3GS prior to purchasing the 5 and I just feel that the battery life is less than ideal. My battery lasts 1.5 days (with my turning off the phone when I sleep). Is this about right? Low to medium usage, i.e. chatting, surfing a bit, checking emails and social media with WiFi on and GPS off and most notification off and medium brightness and 3G turned on. Is 1.5 days right or should it last longer? I am pretty sure my 3GS lasted longer when I first bought it. Unresponsive buttonsI purchased the phone about a week ago. An iphone 5 16gb. I haven't dropped it and this far the only way I have charged is to let it drain fully and charge it back up to 100%. It has worked fine this far but today something slightly odd happened. The phone had gone to sleep and I needed to check something but the home button was completely unresponsive. I pressed it a number of times but absolutely nothing happened. I also tried the top button, again nothing happened. Then I tried holding the top button because I thought that I might have turned it off accidentally. Again, nothing. The little "you need to charge your phone" screen didn't even come up. I might add that the phone had 23% juice at this time. Then I tried to connect it to the charger and the moment I plugged in the phone it came back to life. It has worked fine since. My question is, can anyone explain this? Is the phone broken somehow? What could have caused it? As I said, I haven't dropped the phone at all, and I've only had it for about a week so this seems very odd indeed.

Windows 7 crash Bluescreen when connecting iphone 5 personal Hotspot

Hi every body!  Recently i have noticed that when i want to connect my iphone 5 personal hotspot to my laptop, the moment i plug in the USB cable while the Hotspot is already running on my phone, immidiatly windows crashes. with a bluescreen error. I switched off the hotspot and then connect to my laptop nothing happens and every thing seems normal, but turning on the hotspot is a problem. every time i need to use my personal hotspot i have to reboot my laptop and while its rebooting i connect the USB cable in order to use my personal Hotspot while its ON on the phone. Please Help!

I need help My message app has frozen iphone 4

Yesterday I was texting one of my friends when we got into a text bomb match thing when I sent a really long message like 100,000 characters my phone foreclosed the messaging app and everytime I have tried to foreclose it after hitting the home button twice it pops up with a blank little preview of what the messaging app would look like without any messages or options. Please help me fix this problem I mainly use my phone for texting! What are some possible solutions to the problem??

Why can my iphone 4 connect to my Wi-fi but my 3Gs cannot

My iphone 4 has no problem connecting to my Wi-Fi, nor does my Laptop. My iphone 3gs though does not connect. When under settings, it shows my netwoek, but continually has the turning cog symbol displaying. Any help is a appeciated

I am in South Africa and my only means with communication back in the States was through iMessagea and FaceTime over wifi. They have been working fine for the past 3 weeks and all of a sudden they have both stopped working and say waiting for activation. I am using the same wifi I have been and I have a strong signal. I have also tried turning wifi off, iMessage off, and FaceTime off and resetting the networks, it didn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this? I just don't know why it would be working fine then all of a sudden stop!

Speakers on my iphone 4s are not working

I have not changed anything and my phone has been just fine till today.  Out of no where the speakers stopped working.  I tried turning it off and on and tried a restore.  Can anyone else offer suggestions?

The button on my iphone 4 is stuck and does not work so i can not press and hold the home button and the power button to reboot it. I tried to reset my iphone throught the Settings in General. Once I did that the screen went black with the little loading circle in the middle like if I turned it off and stayed like that for the past 2 hours and it won't stop. it's not frozen because the circle is moving (loading) but it's been over 2 hours and I've tried everything. I'm not sure if it takes that long.

7 different faults-it hardware failure iphone 4S

I've had my 4S since January 2012.  All was well for about a year, and then the fun began.1) When the weather got colder (Less than five or six degrees), the phone would suddenly claim to have a flat battery, and turned itself off.  Plugging in an external battery pack brought it back to life.  Taking it back inside a warm building would bring it back to life again.  2) About twice a month, it crashes, and wipes all my contacts/calendar data.  I started backing up to iCloud, so then it would restore from there, but muddle my contacts' photos up.3) It refuses to sync with iTunes.  It says there's not enough memory.  Sometimes on the phone, sometimes on my PC.4) At least once a day, it loses the ability to join any mobile network.  turning it off and on again usually allows it to rejoin my network (T Mobile).5) Instead of T Mobile, it randomly likes to show my operator name as 000-0000.6) It helpfully closes all my Safari tabs if I minimise Safari and use another app.7) The GPS is failing, which is a real nuisance because I use Nike+ for my daily jog. T Mobile's tech help were not very much help as soon as they realised I'd had the phone for over a year, and was therefore no longer covered by their warranty.  They reckoned it was a hardware failure.  I've purchased Apple Care today, and booked a Genius Bar appointment for Friday.  Does anyone have experience of any of these problems?

My iphone 4S is stuck on sending a text message. It just reads sending and nothing happens nor can I receive any text messages on my phone. I have restarted the phone 4 times, tried turning messages on and off, tried switching back and forth between airplane mode, etc. Nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

i can't activate my iphone 4 after restoring it

I can t connect to my wifi iphone 3G

I'm on my iphone 4S and I can't connect to ANY app that uses wifi, including the iTunes store. I keep getting notifications that I need to check my Internet connection (I have it on my phone) and that my phone wasn't sure if itunes.apple.com was really iTunes' web address (oh come on!) It's storming here where I am in Tennessee now, and I figured that might be part of the problem. But is it?  I've reset the network settings, and it still says it. What could the problem be? I've even tried turning off the wifi and using 4G and nothing happened.

hi all...yesterday i tried to update my iphone 4S using itunes to version 6.3.1 and my phone was on 5.1 firmware initially..everything run well but when the software was installing on the phone it gave error (unknown error -1) and now is stuck in DFU and recovery mode..i am unable to recover my phone back to normal..tried each and every way available on the internet.. i manually donwloaded 6.1.3 and put in the software update folder in itunes folder in C: clicked restore..itune validated the software through apple.com, restoration on the phone started but then again the same error -1...plz plz plz help me am really screwed and tense...thnxx....
