Okay so first my iPhone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iPhone 5 and restored my old settings to the iPhone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iPhone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

New iOS update froze my phone and I had to restore my phone. iPhone 5

I try to avoid updates on my iPhone because it's either hit or miss and after the latest update that was released a couple days ago, my worst fear happened.  It updated then I left it alone to update.  After over an hour I come back and the "connect to iTunes" image appeared and nothing worked.  Once iTunes was restarted it said I needed to restore my phone to factory settings. This is ridiculous and very frustrating.  I'm not going to lie, several of my friends have samsung Galaxy S3's or Notes and they seem way more verstitle and reliable then my iphone.  Any suggestions?

Also, not a good idea to put your personal number on the world wide forum here for anyone to get. The iPhone has never supported bluetooth file transfer. This is a known fact. VZW iPhone 5 will not pick up LTE when s removed and put into Galaxy Nexus then back into iPhone 5

I have a VZW iPhone 5 activated as my main phone, I also have a VZW samsung Galaxy Nexus that I use a sim adapter and swap the sim to. When I swap the sim from the iPhone 5 to the Galaxy Nexus for a day or so then back to the iPhone 5, I cant pickup LTE signal, it just stay at 3G. Although if I put the sim back in the Galaxy Nexus it still picks up LTE. The only way i can get the LTE back on my iPhone 5 is by going into VZW and getting a new sim card activated, in return kills my old sim card. Any ideas or help?? Okay. So this was what happened: I was updating my iTunes library to the latest version. All of a sudden, my netbook crashed and eventually was hanging. So I removed the battery and restarted my netbook. I later found out, my iTunes got deleted. I didnt panic at first since I deliberately deleted my iTunes before and reinstalled it again finding all my files back in the iTunes. But this time, when I reinstalled it, all my files were gone! With this situation, can I transfer all my current files from my iPhone to my new iTunes library? I don't mind losing my music but I just want to safely sync my iPhone to this new iTunes library without erasing my current apps and photos. Hope you guys can help me!

My 16 GB iPhone is just too darn small to hold what I need it to hold. I'm considering buying a used 64GB phone from a coworker, but I'm wondering what will happen to my AppleCare plan. I just purchased the iPhone 5 coming from a samsung Galaxy S3. Where I work, I do not receive cell phone service so I rely heavily on the WiFi to receive emails and iMessages.  I've noticed that if the phone sits for a few minutes, the wireless will shut itself off and as soon as I press the home or power button, the wireless kicks in and I get a flood of iMessages and an e-mail chime.  On the samsung, there was an option to keep the wireless on all the time and my question is: Is there a way to keep the phone connected to a WiFi connection all the time so I don't get a delay in messages and emails? I know battery life will suffer and that isn't an issue to me. I just need it to stay connected so I'm not replying to messages 2 hours later when I pick up the phone.  Thanks,

I googled to no end, searched Apple support forums endlessly and you know what? Not a single simple answer can seem to be given without being redirected to something that simply does not answer THIS very specific question. Is it, or is it not possible to quickly transfer photos DIRECTLY *FROM* and *INTO* the Camera Roll WITHOUT iTunes or iPhoto? Simple question yes? lol. NOPE. Reason why I ask can be simply described in short: iTunes 11.0.2, running iPhone iOS 6.1; Clicking "Photos" from my iPhone via iTunes, gives me ONE single option; "Sync photos from". Tried keeping it real simple. Make a folder on the desktop called iPhone Photos just for quickly transfering photos back and forth and chose to synch from that. 18 photos to test. Just crap from the internet. Nothing major. Know what it does? For one, it takes 3 minutes or so to sync 18 whole photos, which is stupid but whatever. But here's the BEST part, none get sent to my Camera Roll, oh no, it makes TWO entirely new folders under it in my iPhone. One being the one I made on my desktop, and the other is called Photo Library, and get this, BOTH of these have the same 18 pictures lmao. Yup. Why? Oh who cares at this point. I really just do not care. Apple. All that needs to be said. And as for iPhoto. It's just an unnecessary useless program I have no intentions of ever needing. Why? I keep a crap load of various types of photos in organized folders in my Finder, and iPhoto likes making sure it takes 3x longer to do that. It really just does.  Now back on point. What happened to the good old friggin days when all you had to do was DRAG AND DROP?!?!?! I legitimately am getting cancer from pondering this question.  Is there not a way to simply drag from Camera Roll somehow to the iMac, like say a specified folder. And Vice Versa from the iMac straight to Camera Roll? A nice workaround to get FROM Camera Roll TO iMac specified folder is "Image Capture" which does exactly just THAT. Quickly and painlessly transfer STRAIGHT FROM AND TO wherever. This is ridiculous. At this point, I'd pay 50 bucks for a simple app to quickly drag and drop from and to Camera Roll and bam. Done.  Sorry for the book, but this is getting ******** trying to get an answer to this and thought I would deem it necessary to be as descriptive as humanly possible.  Looking for simple answers if possible, but at least descriptive. Windows 7 Laptop and Iphone 4S

I have a laptop with Windows 7 with current version of ITunes 11.0.2.26 and have the IPhone 4S with the current iOS 6.1.3  Itunes is seeing my IPhone, but the laptop is not seeing it properly.  Once the IPhone is connected it will charge and connect to ITunes, but Windows doesn't show the device as having the proper driver.  In "Hardware" setting of the laptop, the IPhone doesn't show up so I can not make the IPhone to show up in My Computer as a hard drive device.  My reason to get this to work is to remove the videos from my phone.  I have tried to use ICloud to transfer to other devices and download, but it won't accept videos just my computers.  I need assistance to get the IPhone to show up as a hard drive, but as previously mentioned the problem lays with the laptop not having the proper driver.  I have done the following corrective measures: Uninstall and reinstalled ITunesI have held the powere and home button on the IPhone while being connected to the laptop.I have looked into registry correction, but the incorrect text is not in the registry.   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to lose these videos because non compatibility issues. If this is going to be on going occurrence I will have to give up using Apple products. Thank you.

Ridiculous store iPhone 4S

I got my very first iPhone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iPhone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! This is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(

Move from samsung to iPhone keep my number iPhone 4S

I currently have a several year old samsung Flyte phone. I am included with my wife's account under the AT&T family plan. My "line" has no data plan linked to it - her iPhone 4S and her sister's iPhone 3 do. The contract with AT&T for my phone/line expired several months ago. I'm thinking about upgrading to an iPhone 4, but I don't want to give up my existing phone number. And, I understand that the iPhone uses a micro SIM card - different that other manufacturer's phones.  I'm pretty sure that I'll need to add a data plan to my "line" - not a big deal. Ideally, we want to add another line to the wife's plan (without data) and give the samsung phone to her mom, who lives with us. But, I do not want to loose my phone number. We want my new iPhone to have my existing phone number and the samsung for her mom to have a new number. Is this possible?

I have 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora icon on screen. I was told to connect my iphone 5 with USB port and worked. But as soon as I disconnected Pandora went out on screen. Only works plugged in now. Should work without USB connected.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car.  How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving!  And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! Right?  Thanks.

I purchased a new samsung laptop with windows 8.  I have an iphone 5 and Im trying to sync the two.  I deleted itunes from my old computer b/c my assistant was taking it over.  When I check anything in itunes it give me a message that itunes will over ride my iphone with what is on the computer, which is nothing.  I cannot figure out how to do this without deleting everything.  Please  help.  Thanks.

Since the ios6.0 update, deleted contacts can't be deleted from the new message case. It is amazing that more people are not aware of the problem and are speaking out about it. As a professor, I have new students whose contacts I input into my iPhone each semester after sending a text mail the contact cannot be deleted from the "new message" cashe. It can be deleted from contacts but remains in the cashe. The only way to delete the cashe is a full restore. Resetting does not even work. Restoring is a horrible way to delete contacts permanently. I have contacted Apple repeatedly. They are aware of the problem but do not seem to be concerned. With each update, I expect the bug to be fixed. I hope to get the attention of samsung with this. I know they could create another embarrassing ad campaign and Apple will resolve the issue in seconds. Apple is not the great company it used to be.

Error en llamada iPhone 5

Hola. Tenía un 4S con el problema de error en llamada. 1 de cada 5 llamadas se cortaban, y aparecía el error "Error en llamada", habiendo cobertura perfecta. Llegué incluso a cambiar el teléfono en apple y el error persistía. Desde Apple me indicaron que saben que el error lo provoca alguna aplicación instalada pero no han identificado cual.Como la respuesta fue rara pensé que era una excusa. Ahora he adquirido un iphone 5 e iba perfectamente hasta que le transferí todas las aplicaciones que tenía instaladas en el 4S mediante iTunes. Y sorpresa, ahora vuelve a dar el "Error en llamada" en el iPhone 5. Lamentable que no saquen una solución a este problema, pues no tengo yo por que estar probando que app es la que provoca el error de las decenas que tengo instaladas. Estoy muy descontento con Apple .

Iphone 5 issues

I switched from an Iphone 4S to a 5 yesterday.  My contacts did not all switch.  The volume keeps resetting to the lowest amount.  When I set the volume to high, it does not set Siri's to high.  I can barely hear Siri.  I used ITUNES for a backup on my 4S.  Most of my apps wouldn't transfer, it said not enough room.  All my songs are greyed out and not playable.  I am using the same ITUNES account.  This is a NIGHTMARE.  All my email settings will not stay.  The programs keep asking for the passwords, even though they have been entered multiple times.  I read the email, then the next time I open the email account it prompts for a password.   I HATE THIS PHONE.

Cannot Restore Corrupt Backup after upgrading to 6.1.3 iPhone 4S

My wife needed to make space on her Iphone because of the many videos she had on it. When she plugged the phone into our iMac, running 10.8.3, and connected to iPhoto to transfer the videos over the upload started as it normally does. However, during the middle of the transfer iTunes interupted and INFORMED my wife that the phone was now upgrading to the newest software version (6.1.3)being as we usually keep our phones up to date with upgrades anyways we didnt think much of it. Unfortunately during this process the software update failed and the phone crashed. We were left with two options "restore from backup" or "restore iPhone." We tried several times to restore from the backup and we received the same error message every time "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or incompatable with the Iphone that is being restored." I went into my library and checked out my backups folder and I saw that there were two new backups there for my Wife's phone. One time stamped at the exact time the phone crashed and one from the last time I tried to restore(after the phone crashed). We finally decided that there must have been a glich with the softwarre download, since it didn't complete, so we decided to "Restore Iphone" hoping that a corrected software would then allow us to restore from the backup properly. So the phone was wiped and reset with the new software, and we still cannot access the backup that we need. Though it is extremely frustrating that the videos of our toddler are gone, it is very important that we somehow find a way to access the information in the non corrupt backup files, her address and phone books as well as past text messages and calendars. I went to a site called iphonerecoveryonline and followed their protocol and I was able to see that all of the aboved mentioned information is still in those backups, but I have no way, with out paying these people $20 per file, to return that info to her phone. I would rather not have to pay to recover this info, but I guess that may be my only option? Any advice, experience or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.
