How did happen iPhone 3G

My wifes iphone took a screen shot of her password screen and she doesnt know how that happened. She was trying to answer a call and it froze. Then the camera app started taking pictures. The last photo was of her logon password screen (less dots). Its stored on her camera roll if anyone want to see. Were wondering what the heck happened to do that? IMac 20" Mac OS X (10.6.2)

How I disable sound when sending text iPhone

My iPhone has been doing this lately and its really annoying especially when all texting sounds have been turned off. It seems this one cannot.Im talking about the sound the iPhone makes when it finishes sending a text.I see no option to turn this off. hello. i just got an iphone to see what the hype was about. as a business man i bought the htc tilt 2. i have clients that i need to send text sms to at given times. now there are a lot of group texting apps out there and none of them do group texting in the way it was ment to be done. you dont have the options to: select all recipients in a group or select 1 2 or 3 etc. in contacts or in groups.every app that i have searched for that has texting or group texting or contact tweaks or contact management dont have this feature. you have to either select the contacts one by one or select contacts one by one and save as a template for later texting. this is 2010 app developers need to get a grip. now being that i am a windows user i chose the htc tilt 2. there is an appp that does this for windows mobile users. and it is called (Skb Group SMS and Scheduler) here is a link to it for a quick peak (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TRLbGTPk4c) now this is the way group texting is supposed to be. if you know anyone who develops apps for iphone grouping and or texting send them there so they can see how it is really done. it wouldnt be that hard to put a link inside of the contacts so you can select as many contacts as you would like to text. my question is they have all of these apps for the iphone and cant make a simple button for selecting the whole group to text or a check box to select the contacts that they want to text? i see that you can select all in a group in a program called groups drag and drop. and you can email the whole group. they missed the boat on that one. emailing is not the biggest thing going, texting is. please help me in this effort to make peoples live better by emailing iphone app developers to make an app that is like Skb Group SMS and Scheduler if they do that then people will be lining up to get it. hit me up and let me know what you think and if you have any ideas or if you know anyone that can accomplish this type of app or if there is one out there somewhere that i dont know about. www.myspace.com/roundtablestudios hp Windows 7

I have an ex-boyfriend who has been calling and texting me. I have asked him to stop, but he has not. Each time he sends a text, thats 10 cents. Okay so I havent lost service, I have 5 bars and 3G in my area...but Im having some serious issues. I was texting several people until midnight, all texts stopped for some reason...at 12:45am I received several texts within 5 minutes, all labeled around 12:05am. I still had a perfect signal (Im sitting at home, never had problems before). Now that our state is prohibiting texting while driving (I applaud that) I was curious if there is a way to assign different SMS tones to different people/groups. I currently receive alerts from various groups, news, amber alerts, etc. The tones are the same if I were to receive one from a family member or friend. If Im driving and hear a tone I specifically assigned to non-family/friends, I wouldnt be as anxious to read it as I would be if it was a text from family/friends. If I could distinguish between them, and I happen to get a text from family or friend, I would pull over if I knew Id be in the car awhile. Otherwise, I could check it when I reach my destination. My Computer not detecting my iPhone PLEASE HELP 3G

Hi. Ive had the iPhone 3G for a little over a year now and Ive synced my phone to my computer numerous times. I hadnt backed up my phone since October because everytime after that, it would take FOREVER, which wasnt the usual behavior, but I disregarded it and cancelled the sync. Today, I synced my phone to my PC and like before, it took about an hour. What my computer didnt do this time, was notify that it found new hardware and ask me what I wanted to do with my Apple iPhone Camera Device. I really needed this to pop up since I have so many pictures that I need to import to my computer. Can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to import my pictures from my iPhone to my computer again and why my computer isnt notifying me that it found new hardware anymore. Ive googled this a million times and found nothing that worked or helped me. Again, please, somebody help me. I have no idea what to do and am in dire need of getting my pictures on my computer. Ive gone to My Computer and it doesnt even show that my iPhone is hooked up when in iTunes, it detects it automatically. Saving an MMS iPhone

I recieved an MMS that is just audio. When I open it up it has a quicktime symple in the middle with a play button and a back arrow and forward arrow on the bottom. Unlike pictures I see there is no way to save the audio file. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible. I want to forward it on to someone else but cant seem to find a way to do that, so I figured saving it to the phone and sending it as an MMS would be the best way. I updated the most recent update for my iphone. Once it had finished updating, it came up with an unknow error. I dont get calls while I am texting iPhone

Is this normal? If I am texting, and get a call, the iphone does not ring or notify me that an incoming call is coming in. I dont know I have had a call until I click the home button and see I have missed a call. Very aggravating!Any way to change this? 17" MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Just upgraded my iPhone 3G to a new 3GS and have given my old one to my Dad. He is delighted!!! The O2 signal in his house is fine for calls and texting but very slow for internet. No problem I thought, we will connect to your home wifi network. Wont work. Phone picks up the network no problem but when the passcode is entered it says unable to join ***** network. error message keep popping up iPhone 3G

Hello, I requested that my carrier completely block all data from my phone. Now I sometimes get a message saying could not connect to cellular network etc. opping up in my home screen Is this because my phone is trying to do automatic updates etc. that require data and is showing this error because of the data block. I would also like to mention that I get this same message when I try to connect to Safari, Mail etc. with no Wi-Fi (because my data is being blocked) but that message only pops up when I try to access data specific progrmas. MMS Photo-Messaging and ATT iPhone

Hi,Over the past few days, I have had increasing problems sending a photo from the Messages (texting) App on my iPhone, whereas I have had no problems before that.The telltale red exclamation circle occurs next to the picture after about one minute of trying: the progress bar in the title-bar of the messaging screen goes almost all the way to the end, where it stops about 1-2 mm short of finishing, and then gives up after about one minute. Sometimes, after 5-6 tries (10-15 minutes apart), the photo will finally go through...Concurrently with this problem, Ive noticed the following: Id get the alert that I have a voice-mail, although the iPhone never rang, and the callers call may or may not not show up on the Recents/Missed calls list. Tapping on the Voicemail button brings up the list of v-mails, with the new v-mail having a blue circle/bullet without a rightward triangle in it. Tapping on it changes the bullet into a circling progress icon, and after a minute or so, the error message comes up, saying that the voice-mail was not accessible. Eventually, some hour or two later, the v-mail would finally download, and I can play it.These two problems having occurred concurrently, I have a strong suspicion that it is not a software problem with the iPhone (so that no amount of restarting would solve the problem), but in AT&T bandwidth, i.e., insufficient network capacity, at least in the area where I live and work: Manassas-Haymarket (in Virginia) and Washington DC, respectively. Has anyone else noticed this particular combination of problems? Thanks, Tristan Intel(igent) MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.6.2)

I have made a new computer for myself but didnt backup my itunes folders from the old one. When I try to sync it seems like it wants to erase everything on my iphone because there isnt anything on my computer. How can I go about this with out erasing all the data on my iphone. I am mainly concerned about the Apps, contacts, and pictures, and all the updates I have gotten for the iphone. Any help would be VERY appreciated P.S. I was happy with the iPhone, until i loaded a new OS on my laptop ... consequently having to reinstall itunes. now the option is to delete everything from the phone or dont sync. Very well thought out! syncing oneway only? brilliant!saw the new option to sync google contacts. so did that, now have everything doubled since i was already syncing google contacts through exchange. not a problem you think, right? just remove the contact that were just added ... thankfully in a seperate group, but no option to remove group (or multiple contacts) no i have to open each contact, edit, then remove. Another GREAT option!Ive read every forum on this site, and all of them say you can only sync with one itunes library. no doubtly because of the oneway syncing. I like to know the genius who thought that one up. So i will loose ALL my apps, including the ones i paid for, all my pictures, all my playlists. I am LOVING the iphone! Thinkpad Windows 7

O2 charging me for iPhone Roaming Data Charges I didnt use 3G

I live in the UK but travel abroad quite regularly.I have an iPhone with O2.I am absolutely obsessive about ensuring my data roaming is switched off on my iPhone before I leave the country as I know about the high costs for international data use.When abroad, I only use my phone for texting and I only use wifi for data requirements.A few months ago I saw some data charges on my bill from when I was in Florida, USA. I knew 100% that I hadnt used any data- data roaming was switched off, voicemail was switched off too. I called O2, told them about it and they simply refunded the charges without a fuss.Just got a bill today with £100 of data charges - mostly showing as one day when in Spain and some charges from when I was in New York too.Once again I know 100% for sure that I had data switched off.I called O2 and they said they stand by the charges. I told them in no uncertain terms that they were wrong, but they were adamant. I asked to be put through to a manager and they put me through to the resolutions department. The woman there told me that the charges were legitimate and I had to pay. I explained that they couldnt possibly be and she said the only thing they could do was a network investigation which will take up to 5 days.Im sure their network investigation will come back confirming what it says on the bill, but that doesnt change the fact that somehow theyve got it wrong. They were wrong before and they are wrong again now.So where do I go from here?Is there an independent body (OFTEL?) I can report this to?Do I have to worry every time I go abroad now that this is going to happen again?Update:Just did a bit of research and contacted Ofcom. They told me I need to get it in writing from O2 that they believe the charges are legitimate, and then I can go to the ombudsman - Otelo if necessary.So Ill just have to wait and see I suppose. Limit of 10 for texting in new OS iPhone

My wife owns a business where she texts her customers constantly. Often with mass texts to 50 plus people at a time. Last night i upgraded my wifes iPhone to the latest OS (I know Im a good 7 months late.) But now, she cant send mass texts to her clients like she used to. When I want to send a picture with a text message I open text, type my message, use the little camera icon to either select a photo or take a picture and then send. The text sends and I can see the text and picture on my phone in the text thread. When my daughter gets it, the image is gone and it sends her to a website to pick up the image. Blob of gray pixels on LCD on iPhone 3G

Sorry for the blurry pictures, but thats the best I can do for now. My LCD screen has gray and pink pixels in the center of the screen and I cant figure out how they got there. The LCD is not cracked nor has any liquid gotten in to the screen. I read on a site that a guy said to use a sharpie end and try to rub this out. It has gotten a little better, but I dont even understand whats happened. Hello,Ive recently not been able to transfer photos from my iPhone picture folder on my computer to my phone. Ive done this before and it worked. Was it an update that has caused my pictures NOT to show on my phone?
