iPhone doesnt send SMS to one contact

Ive had my iPhone for a while and this just started happening, I try to send a text to my best friend and when it says its sent she doesnt get get it or we already are texting and my phone stops sending texts for no reason. This is really announng cause we used to text all the time and its on her that doesnt get the texts. She has a samsung gravity on tmobile Please help! Windows XP

When constructing a text, if it happens to be a long one, (which mine regularly are!), I used to like the fact the boxed area you were writing in only went so far up the page so you could scroll and look at the message which youd been previously sent. This no longer happens and the box youre writing in fills the screen and you cant look at the previous message you had been sent. Is this the case, or am I missing something here and there is a way in which you can still view the previous message? imac Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Lost all apps after update iPhone 3G

I updated my iPhone 3G after the app store informed me I couldnt dowload an app until I had it, but now all of my applications have gone, except about 4! I wiped all me apps off in iTunes, then tried reinstalling them all but although itunes says it worked, I only have 4 apps and the pictures dont match the names. whats going on, and how do I get my apps back? text messages dissapearing iPhone

Hi, I had the very original iphone and just upgraded to the 3gS. I synced it with iTunes and it loaded up all my old settings just fine--contacts, past text messages, pictures etc. My problem is this:When i receive a new text messages, it would often open a 2nd entry for a text conversation with the same person. I thought maybe since the update it got confused, so i deleted ALL my texts and started from scratch. Now when i get a new text, i can see it on my main screen when it beeps and says New text from ____ and shows the message but when i go to SMS, there is still absolutely no messages there. I can send messages just fine, and it will keep the sent message in my SMS tab temporarily, but when i receive i response (which i can read on the initial beep you have new message...) it disappears completely. iPhone 3G Case with Sliding Lens Cover

Ive seen several cases that tout a lens cover feature, but all they seem to be are a clear plastic shielding to protect the surface. This doesnt change the fact that if you touch it or if dirt gets on it, it will make your pictures look bad.Has anyone found an iPhone 3G cover that actually has a sliding lens cover? No Icon to Send Picture iPhone

Looking at the screenshots from the Apple site that show off the ability to send pictures via MMS theres a small icon in the bottom left corner but Im not seeing that on my phone. I rebooted also but still no icon. Everything else seems to be there. Got Spotlight. Got Voice Recorder. But no icon to send a picture via MMS. Dont have it when viewing pictures either. Is there an easier way to add people to your text message than pressing the plus sign each time and scrolling through the contacts then adding, only to go back to the text message screen and having to add another person through the same process each time. Cannot Send Text Messages Unless Text Thread Empty iPhone 3G

Hey Everyone,I recently updated to 3.0 on my iPhone 3G and tried texting some of my contacts, only to find that I could only text some of them.I found the post here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2045721&tstart=120and my problem is similar. Im able to send messages to certain contacts, but some will constantly give me an Error sending message. For instance, Im in Canada, and a friend of mine is on Fido, and I cant seem to be able to text her anymore. She can still receive messages from other people, including my brother, who is shared on the same plan, but has not taken the 3.0 upgrade yet. Hey, must say that I love my iPhone and the new messaging facilities such as MMS and copying and pasting. But you should be able to disable the feature that flips the keyboard on the side! I wish it was included in the settings. I love texting in bed but you cant if the keyboard keeps flipping on the side!!! Any way of disabling it anyway? iPhone OS 3.0

Battery woes after 3.0 update iPhone 3G

Yes I know theres like 100 topic on this already so why no ad another one. I work up today to find 3.0 had installed on iPhone. I browsed the web for about 1 hour and my full 100% battery went down to about 80% percent. I went back to sleep and work up 3 hours later to find my battery had gone down another 20%I went to the gym and listened to music while there for 1.5 hours. On my way back home I set google maps on to guide me home just to see if anything was different there, the ride was about 20 minutes. Now, 20 minutes later as of this texting, I have less than 20% of juice. I never have to worry about charging my phone every day with moderate usage, however Im gonna need a charge soon and I did not even surf the web or play games for hours like I normally do. Apple, this is NOT good. Its funny how apple did not want to add background processing to maintain battery, yet the new update is doing away with battery faster than the PRE. cypher red pill

Id like to give my son our old V1 iPhone ater I upgrade.He currently has a Blackjack II. On his line I have all internet activity blocked...... Dont want any surprises when my bill gets here.If I put his SIM into the old V1 phone will he be able to use it to make calls and use WiFi????I understand that he wont get visual voice mail, but I dont think hed care. so this is just the first in a string of minor issues that is happening and i was wondering if anyone knew what might be wrong with it. the acceleronmeter is not engaging and wont turn to landscape mode. ive tried every possible remedy and cant seem to get it to work. i guess its time for a trip to the genius bar. anyone else have this issue? some of the apps which use this feature such as level apps work fine but still i cant get any landscape mode in safari etc. my pictures wont rotate and niether will my calcualtor. dell dimension 5100 Windows XP

freezing iphone

hope someone can help...i have had my 3g iphone for nearlya year and is great but in the past 2weeks i have had problems with it. It keeps freezing..if i am for example viewing a facebook page it will freeze and will not do anything for ages. Sometimes it will take half hour to unfreeze or i have to wait until the battery runs out. When it freezes i cant turn it off!!!it just doesnt respond. I have also noticed that when using the phone for texting/reading emails/using apps it will take ages for it to open. Several times now i have backed up my Iphone and then later will find the backups GONE. Sometimes it labels them with dates, sometimes it doesnt.I had to take my phone in for a new lcd yesterday and i backed it up and went to the store. Found out i didnt even need to back it up in the first place cause he just swapped the screen on the spot, no exchange, and when i got home... Guess what!? no effing backup files since...NOVEMBER OF 08! so i have none of my contacts or pictures since then.this has happened multiple times on several computers.i am becoming angry. Hello, I am buying an iPhone soon but Im waiting (will explain later).Was wondering a couple questions about the iPhone.with the lowest plan, and texting, the bill comes to $75.However,... -does the GPS turn by turn cost extra?-I also heard that the internet costs extra as well. Even if you picked up a free wifi hotspot.So if those dont cost extra, do they use minutes? Wondering if I should keep my iPod touch (for internet) + GPS or if I should sell them.A couple other questions would be..-Would it be smarter to buy an iPhone now to use as an MP3 player and get service on it later or would I miss out on a deal or something?-Why is there 16gb 3g iPhones on ebay (sucessfully selling) for 600-800 dollars when they are only 300 here at apple.com?And the question Im most concerned about...ATT said they are buying the cellular company centennial. This is when I will get service in my area. Does anyone know when this is going to happen? A date perchance?Also, Currently my location is in the partner coverage zone. The ATT website says if I use my iPhone too much there they would end my contract early. Im guessing I should wait until they buy centennial because of this. The other day I was texting someone then suddenly there was an error sending message then ever since then I cant text anyone, make any calls or use the internet. someone at work told me about unlocking my phone. stupid me tried to do and and now i restored it to factory settings and now i have nothing. numbers,pictures, everything is gone. i went into my phone and tried to erase it from the itunes memory and now its just erasing itself i guess. now im confused, upset and so beyond lost. is there anyway to un-restore it? in itunes it asks if i want to set up the phone as a new one or restore it. so i click to restore it and it wont continue. im not sure what to do. any help is so very much appreciated. I reformatted and installed a new Windows build. I have tons of pictures, contacts and the like within my iPhone. After I installed a fresh copy of iTunes and imported my iTunes music I went ahead and tried to sync my iPhone.When I try and sync the iPhone I am told that it will need to erase itself because it is associated with another computer. I don’t want to lose my contacts or pics, etc. How can I backup all that important information pre-sync? I don’t care about the Music as I already have that backed up.Thank you so much!! Hi All,Yesterday my iPhone 3G started acting up, I get a call failed message when trying to place a call and incoming calls cannot be answered. Every other feature works as usual including texting, voicemail, and internet access. Will not call or receive calls with full signal iPhone

This is my second iPhone 3G (I got this one a month ago) and I am unable to make or receive calls. If I dial a number, the other persons phone rings once, then my iPhone says Call Failed. Using my own ATT s card into an iphone I found

Alright well I found an iphone in the parking lot at school Friday. I first went to the local AT&T store to try and find the owner. It is now Sunday and no one has texted the phone or even called it.So I was wondering if I could restore the iphone to factory settings via itunes and use my own AT&T sim card with the iphone. I already have a plan with AT&T, although I dont have texting or any internet plans. iPhone freezing everyday 3G

I purchased an iPhone 3G in March. At least once a day, my phone freezes when I start to receive an incoming call. In order to get the phone to stop ringing, I have to hold the wake button and the home button at the same time, till the screen turns black and turns off. Once it is off, it takes almost an hour to get the phone to turn back on. The phone has never been dropped, I have very few applications downloaded, and I have not used up much space for music or pictures. I cant find any solutions!! Does anyone have any advice? My students in my school are very shy when it comes to taking there pictures to put on my wall! I have none!
