iPhone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iPhone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iPhone. Recently my friend bought an iPhone too, when i compared our iphones, i found out that his iPhone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iphones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

Canadian iPhone 5 in UK

Hello, I bought an iPhone 5 from the Canadian Apple store a few months back. I have just got back to the UK and inserted my UK sim card. I'm on Giff Gaff (O2) I can still make and recieve calls and texts. But most of my apps aren't working. Nor are any of my browsers. iMessage still works over 3G so i dont understand why my apps and safari arent sending or redceiveing data. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance, Tom

I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue?  I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iphones instead. else having trouble charging their iphone 5

hey! i upgraded to an iphone 5 in october 2012. ive always had the iphones and never had a problem with them before. however, this phone has decided it no longer wants to charge, at first i thought it was the usb so i brought a new one for it. but it didnt charge it either. i have tried using different sockets ive even used my dockinstation but nothing works. the phone is all up to date and shows a message stating 'this accessory is not meant for charging' , anyone else having the same problem?

iPhone 5-rattling phone second replacement coming

hi guys. i can see this is a common issue. i have heard a few different reasons about why this is happening. either it's the autofocus mechanism or the vibrate motor.whatever the reason, this should not be happening on a £600 piece of hardware. the quality control at apple is not what it used to be and when they are rushing to manufacture millions of devices to tight deadlines in china then this is a problem that was going to happen sooner or later.i am of the opinion that this is a fault with possibly more than 50% of all iphones manufactured to date and apple needs to do a product recall. it seems that they have told staff to not admit this as a fault to try and avoid just that.i got a replacement and it arrived, the rattle was slightly less noticable but definitely still there. i just ordered another replacement and will continue to keep doing so until i get a device that doesn't rattle.before anyone says that this is normal and it is SUPPOSED to rattle, that is BS. i have been to the apple store in brighton and tried the display models and even tried a few they had in the back after speaking with a staff member. out of the 12 phones i went through, 2 didnt rattle AT ALL. Now you tell me if that is normal and people should just put up with the substandard product that apple has churned out this time. I say NO, and the more people that actually make a stand, the quicker apple will be forced to spend some of their $600B on fixing this issue.

Fixed my phone but display still doesn't work iPhone 4S

4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay).  Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again.  What could be broken?

Lost Mode Alarm continues-I found my iPhone 5

Hi.  Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into Lost Mode, sent the message and Played Sound.  Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking.  Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!!  What a relief!!  Cancelled Lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc.  HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!!  I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting Lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off.  All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem.  It should be cancelled!   Why does the alarm still go off?  Can anyone help please? Many thanks Susan

iPhone 5 Frequently Crashes to Apple Logo and Screen Lock

I have an iPhone 5 64 GB running iOS 6.1.4 on AT&T. Over the past ~ three days, have noted that the iPhone randomly "crashes".  Could be when I am using an app.  Could be when I am making a phone call.  Could be when it is simply connected to the power cord and haven't touched it at all. The cycle is as follows: Screen suddenly goes blankThe white Apple logo (which typicaly appears during boot-up) appears for 3 - 5 secondsI hear the "chirp" that normally sounds at the end of boot-upThe iPhone lock lock screen then appears Sometimes, when the phone emerges from lock screen, the brightness is about half of what it was prior. I have not been able to isolate this behavior to a specific set of circumstances.  When it occurs during a phone call, the call is interrupted / other party is silenced, but if I swipe at lock screen, the call resumes (the other party notes that I went silent during duration). I have re-started / re-booted the iPhone 15 times.  I have cleared all apps from the cache.  I have disabled all notifications and location services.  I have done a Reset All Settings on iPhone and restored from iCloud.  I have done a Restore from iTunes.  The problem continues. I would say that this crash cycle occurs about every 30 - 60 minutes.  As noted, many times when I'm not even touching / using the iPhone. Have also noted that when not connected to power supply, the iPhone is quite warm, and battery drain is at an accelerated rate of 3x to 4x of "normal", worse than prior iOS 6 related battery issues.  Have also tried all the usual battery saving tricks - wifi is off, GPS is off, EQ is off, etc. Any thoughts before I head to the Genius Bar? Thanks! TCF

iPhone 5 charging problem

Hi. I have a iPhone 5. When I plug my phone In to charge it charges fine but it has to be plugged in perfectly straight. If I move or knock the charging adapter in the phone it will stop charging even though it is still plugged in the phone. The adapter seems like it only can be charged when it is in a certain position. This is obviously a fault. It is not my adapter as I have tried several different ones. There must be something wrong with the charging port on the iPhone. What I would like to know would this be coved under apples warranty?

My iPhone 5 stopped recognizing my USB cable

In the past few nights, my phone would charge if I had the cord in exactly the right place, but as soon as I touched it in the slightest, it would stopped charging. It did one of those charge, no charge things where it recognizes it for a second, vibrates to tell you it's charging and then stop and then start over again (lots of vibrates). Every once in a while I would get a "Charging is not supported by this accessory" notifications even though I'm using my factory-produced cord and adaptor. Then last night it stopped recognizing USB cords altogether. I tried two different cords, two different adaptors, three different outlets, and plugging it into my laptop. Nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions or have encountered similar problems? I would really like to be able to charge my phone before it dies. Thanks. Jason

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iphones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

How I get my outgoing server to work on my Iphone 5

I bought my Iphone 5 from Apple when it was first available. I have had an ATT acount for many years along with an MSN email account. I have had issues with sending email from my IPhone 5 since I have recieved this phone. I have deleted and readded the email application numberous times(sometimes 10 times a day), I have reset my phone a number of times, I have also changed my email password a number of times and readded to both my incoming server and outgoing server passwords. I have spoken to ATT tech support, Apple Tech support and Msn tech support multiple times, they have not been able to help me. I sometimes have  gotten it to work for a few minutes to a couple of hours but as soon as I try to send an email from my phone again it will no longer send an email from my phone. I use my phone for work and this is very annoying as I have to use my email for work.I need help!  I have had iphones since the first Iphone and Mac computers for over 10 years but I am now over it, at this point I would not recommend iphones. I am now at the point of buying a phone that I can use and it will not be an Apple Iphone.

My iphone turned off this afternoon and when i tried to turn it back on again it came up with the apple logo and then a spinning wheel which wouldn't stop. Multiple iPhone 4S issues continuing

I am tired of my iPhone 4S already after suffering through issues upon issues with the device. My screen is having issues now where at a moment's chance it goes dim. I have to reset the device to get the brightness back to normal. I've tried restoring without any luck of this resolving. Another gripe I have is that I'm continuing to have issues with apps like Mail, Safari, and other Apple installed apps just continuously force closing. I've been sending emails back and forth on my iPhone only to have Mail force close and I lose everything in my message. The phone acts sluggish and performs worse than previous 4S devices I've owned. I've had issues upon issues across multiple iPhone 4S devices. The device I have currently is my 5th iPhone 4S and even tho its less than a few months old after it was sent to me after multiple filler iphones of refurb models from the store, I continue to experience issues that make me use my iPhone less and less as it becomes more unreliable with the crashes and multiple restores. My closest store is not within close distance so that's made owning an iPhone with issues difficult as not every thread on the communities forum touch on half the problems I continue to have. Thankfully at least Siri knows where I'm located compared to my other devices where she always thought I was in Pittsburgh where I picked the phone up at my nearest store over an hour and a half away. Now everything just seems to be more of a deficiency with iOS and the hardware than anything. Obviously there must be something wrong with the latest stocks of 4S devices if my issues are continuing. When I restore I'm always setting up as a new device. I'm never downloading or redownloading anything from my Mac or PC. Everything is just redownloading apps from iCloud within the App Store and having a ton of missing photos in my photo stream. I just don't understand what is wrong with my iPhone. I never experienced these kind of issues with my iPhone 3GS so its hard to swallow how terrible the 4S has performed with every single device I keep getting. I'm at a loss on what I can do. Does anyone have any tips I should try that Apple hasn't provided me with to fix or at least band-aid the issue long enough till I can upgrade with my carrier?

Iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

Home and Power Buttons Not Waking iPhone 5

Hello  I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased upon release in New Zealand around December.  Recentlly, more and more often, I will go to check messages or notifications on my phone by pressing the home or power button to wake it and display the lock screen (a simple enough task, one would imagine). However the screen will not show. They phone simply stays black. Sometimes I can press either button again and it wil wake, other times I will need to wait anywhere up to 10 minutes.  I have tried factory restoring my phone to no avail. It is on the latest release of iOS and has had no water damage or major shock damage.  Thanks for any help you can provide,Caleb

iPhone 5 battery drain

I got an iPhone 5 on Friday and the battery *****. I've read every single forum, done everything, reset all settings, drained battery to 0 and then back up, even restarted to factory settings, turned off push, limited notifications, every thing every forum has told me to do. I even went to apple and they were no help at all, telling me my battery was normal. I don't think sleeping with 100% and waking up with 75% is normal, or getting 2 hours if limited use from my phone throughout the day. I have no idea what to do and I'm getting so tired of this. I did not pay 1000$ and wait 5 months for this. I really expected so much more. Someone help me, and give me a right answer, to help me fix this. Seriously getting so ******. HELP!!! I lost all my contacts for no reason, I was sending a text when my phone (with about 80% power) turned itself off, I turned it back on and all my contacts were gone! In my messages it was just numbers, no names. I went on itunes to restore from backup but it wont let me, nothing comes up. When I right click my device the only option is get is to back up, it wont let my restore from back up. The only thing I can do is restore to original settings but I want my contacts!!! Can someone help, I need all my contacts for work!!!!

I don't know if it's a hardware issue, software issue or what. If replacing the screen or other parts would help? Or if the phone is done for? Just really desperate! I don't know what to do! I haven't ever dropped the phone or had any water damage either... Please help!

I cannot get birthday notifications to turn off. Help iPhone 3G

That would be all 300+ connected Facebook contacts. Going through one by one would be madness and I really do not want to disconnect FB from my phone. Is there honestly no way to turn off calendar notifications for birthdays alone?
