my iphone 4 went dead and now has the apple logo is slow blinking on and off when it's plugged into my computer. I cannot stop it. Tried a hard restart but nothing happened.

Everytime I try to use Facebook on my iphone 4, it crashes freezes and closes.  It is extremely frustrating.  How can I stop this from happening?  It occurs when I try to post, scroll through newsfeed, comment, like, etc.  HELP.  (iOS 6.1.3, iphone 4, AT&T)

Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Lost Mode Alarm continues-I found my iphone 5

Hi.  Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into Lost Mode, sent the message and Played Sound.  Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking.  Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!!  What a relief!!  Cancelled Lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc.  HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!!  I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting Lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off.  All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem.  It should be cancelled!   Why does the alarm still go off?  Can anyone help please? Many thanks Susan

Hi. I have a iphone 5. When I plug my phone In to charge it charges fine but it has to be plugged in perfectly straight. If I move or knock the charging adapter in the phone it will stop charging even though it is still plugged in the phone. The adapter seems like it only can be charged when it is in a certain position. This is obviously a fault. It is not my adapter as I have tried several different ones. There must be something wrong with the charging port on the iphone. What I would like to know would this be coved under apples warranty?

In the past few nights, my phone would charge if I had the cord in exactly the right place, but as soon as I touched it in the slightest, it would stopped charging. It did one of those charge, no charge things where it recognizes it for a second, vibrates to tell you it's charging and then stop and then start over again (lots of vibrates). Every once in a while I would get a "Charging is not supported by this accessory" notifications even though I'm using my factory-produced cord and adaptor. Then last night it stopped recognizing USB cords altogether. I tried two different cords, two different adaptors, three different outlets, and plugging it into my laptop. Nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions or have encountered similar problems? I would really like to be able to charge my phone before it dies. Thanks. Jason

My iphone turned off this afternoon and when i tried to turn it back on again it came up with the apple logo and then a spinning wheel which wouldn't stop. I have a iphone 4 and it's always connected to wifi perfectly but a couple weeks it just stop connecing to my home wifi. All my other stuff connects properly but my iphone 4 doesn't, I reset my network settings like one website said and I updated to the latest update and none of them work. iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iphone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iphone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iphone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

iphone 5 won't charge so I got my iphone and didnt really start to have any problems till a couple months ago my charger would charge for a bit then stop so I had to have it in a certain place for it to charge so I figured I would just get a new charger. Same thing a month later with new charger it stopped charging my phone unless when i have it plugged in i press in hard then lift up thats the only way I can get a charge. I did the hard reset and all the others things think they will just give me a new iphone?

I am in South Africa and my only means with communication back in the States was through iMessagea and FaceTime over wifi. They have been working fine for the past 3 weeks and all of a sudden they have both stopped working and say waiting for activation. I am using the same wifi I have been and I have a strong signal. I have also tried turning wifi off, iMessage off, and FaceTime off and resetting the networks, it didn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this? I just don't know why it would be working fine then all of a sudden stop!

The button on my iphone 4 is stuck and does not work so i can not press and hold the home button and the power button to reboot it. I tried to reset my iphone throught the Settings in General. Once I did that the screen went black with the little loading circle in the middle like if I turned it off and stayed like that for the past 2 hours and it won't stop. it's not frozen because the circle is moving (loading) but it's been over 2 hours and I've tried everything. I'm not sure if it takes that long.

Cannot Install Apps Due to iCloud Restoring iphone 3G

Hello everyone!I recently bought an iphone 5 and used iCloud to restore apps to it. The apps are all almost installed, except they won't due to the fact I'm not signed into iCloud. Obviously, I would sign into iCloud, but I have since changed my email and it won't let me edit it on my phone because a restore is in progress.Sorry for the confusing answer, but really I'm looking for a way to stop a restoration, or change my iCloud email on my phone while an update is in progress. Thanks in advanced!

iphone 5 not charging

hello very recently my iphone stopped charging well it was charging but it wasnt charging lol i know what i mean is when i plug in the cable the phone says charging but the percentage of the battery isnt going up so i tryed a different lightning cable still same problem so then i tryed the wall brick thingy still same problem i also tryed my car charger and nothing so a friend told me its my battery so i took it to a repair shop and they replaced it for me and the phone was working again and then at night i went to plug it and same thing it shows charging but its not charging instead of givng that lightning icon on the battery it shows the other icon that indicated that the battery is fully charged. so its pretty much telling me that at 5 percet battery level the battery is fully charged i dont know what to do is this hardware where the phone is telling the battery to stop taking in charge because it thinks its fully charged please help i dont know if i should do a complete restore because i dont think its a sotware issue because even when the phone is off and connected to charger its still not chargeing please guys help me out i need my phone back

I have 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora icon on screen. I was told to connect my iphone 5 with USB port and worked. But as soon as I disconnected Pandora went out on screen. Only works plugged in now. Should work without USB connected.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my Samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car.  How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving!  And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! Right?  Thanks.

What s wrong with my iphone

Ok so, since yesterday afternoon, while i was on my facebook, it suddenly popped out that there's a problem with the connection blah blah blah, but it was still connected to the wifi, so I just ignored it for a while, until i want to use it but i can't, coz every app that needs wifi was just loading & loading and it took forever but i wasn't updating to the latest post like that.. I opened my tumblr, twitter, instagram, imessage and facebook, but it's stuck on the same last post from yesterday. It really bothers me, I reset the network setting for a couple of times, and nothing happens.  If you're gonna ask what carrier i have, It's MTS but i don't have a sim. Yet i can still use it like an ipod.  the push notfication shows on my iphone, like when it's locked and someone message me on fb or retweet something on twitter. Then when i do open that notification, and the app will load then it'll stop.  I also updated it to the latest iOS (6.1.3) a month ago.  What do i need to do??? Need Help.

April 02 I got home about 9am and was trying to use my phone to send a text and notice that I was unable to send one. I kept getting the red ! telling me that my text wasn't sent so I tried making a call without success. I kept getting call failed. So I attempt to look something in the Internet and I would either get the busy icon or the network timed out message.  So I thought my service had been disconnected for some reason so I called AT&T to explain what was going on and to find out if my service had been interrupted without me knowing about it and the cust rep had me power down the phone and turn it back on and test it out and it appeared to be working until I got back home and it started all over again. I found myself having to power it off and on just so I could do things with it. Today I come to realize that this problem seem to only happen when I am home. I don't know what has changed at my home to cause this to be happening. I don't know what to do to fix this problem. Do anyone know what it could be.

Hi  Since i have updated my software version of iphone 4S to 6.1.3 following functions stopped working :  1. WiFi (even i am putting correct WPA key still says incorrect pass key, not connecting at all to Wifi.2. Bluetooth is not working as well, it was working till yesterday with my car bluetooth device and now it cant pair with device. since i have updated the software it seemd like my iphone has lost all the passwords and keys stored in its memory.  Bluetooth symbol near battery only appears when you are in bluetooth option.Wifi doesnt connect automatically to network which are stored in my phone. When will Apple fix this issue as it is very annoying and hard to work with. I am disappointed that apple hasnt tested there new release properly, why everytime a new release fix one bub but create 10 others.  Please update me on if there is any solution available apart from freezer  Regards, A

My iphone 4 stopped charging and won't charge anymore ideas

I was charging it and listening to pandora when my phone started to feel really hot! I couldn't really touch it. The USB port that plugs into the outlet was hot, along with the actual USB plug in. And then the plug that goes into the phone was very hot too, and the bottom of the phone where the charger goes in was hot. So, in long story short, everything was hot. That was the first time I experienced that, and it scared me so I quickly unplugged the cord and it started to cool down. Not it is completely cooled, the phone, and the cord, and when I try to plug it in again to charge it doesn't charge. I thought maybe it was just the cord. So I got a different one, and it still didn't work. I even tried plugging it into the computer, and still no luck.  Some additional information, I was using an extension cord, and was laying in bed. I also have been experiencing issues where the phone would be plugged in, and say that 'it is not supported' or something like that, and would stop charging.  And also earlier today I upgraded my phone system to the 6.1.3  Please help!!!!! Will I have to send it in? I hope my phone isn't completely dead! :(
