Good night;guys, I have a problem and would like some help:I bought it on Amazon, 1 Iphone 5 Unlocked, factory unlocked. The device functioned normally and after an update, it did not take over my chip and says the device is locked (is asking to put a valid chip). After several attempts, I got in touch with the Apple of my country (Brazil), and to my surprise, the search for the serial device, they reported that the device is locked by Sprint and manufactures do not accept support or exchange (The unit has 1 month bought with full price in amazon), telling me to settle with Amazon. I insisted informing them that the unit was purchased unlocked and they also reported that this device is aimed at the European market, it works with CDMA and GSM and Apple Brazil suporPelas just the research I have done and talking to some people, I passed the information that Sprint can easily inform this code (or Imei) not sure which unlocks the device again, but have no information on how to get or do that. I contacted Amazon stating what happened and I'm waiting for a position within it, is to send the code or return the handset. My model is the A1429. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help? Eu comprei o aparelho desbloqueado, pagando mais caro e é justo que possa utilizar ele onde quiser. Entrei em contato com a Amazon informando o ocorrido e estou aguardando uma posição deles, seja para envio do código ou retorno do aparelho. Meu modelo é o A1429. Hi guys i got my iPhone 5 about 2 week after launch and about 3 weeks later i lost all sound clicks from text's, game apps, youtube wouldn't play any videos and it worked perfectly fine when i went to bed wake up in the morning to this. I rebooted the phone and this resolved the issue, the phone was not in silent mode via settings or via the slider at the top of the phone. the phone would be working fine for about 3 weeks then this would happen again same issues as above this went on till about the 14th December and Apple decided to change my phone now its happening again. I am at a lose end does anybody know a fix or heard of this before as i am sure this problem could not happen too 2 different phones ? Thanks

I have compared it with to a few demo phone from different stores, and some friends, and my iphone is the loudest. Anyone else got this problem? The store where I bought it, says it is "normal" that it has to be loud....
Take your time to write a thoughtful comment on a video, hit send, and it's gone, "youtube is not available". It happens frequently on the iphone app yet never happens on the desktop site. This bug has followed the youtube app across multiple phones (OG & 3G), multiple OS updates, and still happens randomly. Not having a feature is better than one that frequently doesn't work, and frustrates, as well as wastes your time...I'm so ready to checkout the latest from HTC I copied this question from an archived thread from 2009. I'm having the same issue. I comment on youtube a couple of times and it's fine, the third time it completely blocks me. It's very frustrating. Looking at the replies from 4 years ago it seems that its definitely the app that has the issue, not the main website. Something to do with capture was the solution last time. Why do I have this issue now, does anyone else have this problem?iPad 3' iphone4sPlease sort it out, it's getting hard to defend iPhone these days!
I have been using this app called +3 to record my rides. Since about iOS 5, i noticed the GPS on the phone started to try to stick to roads when I was going offroad. When I get more than 300 feet away from the road, the GPS suddenly corrects its position and starts to show correctly where I am. When I ride parallel to the road about 200 feet away, the GSP shows me right on the road for the whole time. It seems to me that whoever introduced this "feature" decided to not trust the GPS and let the software decide where I am instead. It seems quite irritating to me as I can't quite tell my route once recorded inaccurately. I have observed the behavior with both my iPhone 4s and 5 with no difference. Has someone else experienced this with their phone?
volume control on iphone not working need helpJust yesterday it was fine but now its not there I have a iphone 4s with iOS 5.1.1The volume button on the side no longer works when you press up or down it just pops up the screen that says ringer and the volume image but wont change the volume. Also where the volume is on apps like youtube is a black box and you cant change the volume or anything. Any help is appreciated.
I was downloading songs from iTunes with my wifi and noticed that it would take up to 16 minutes to download ONE song. As with 3G, it downloads more than one song 5x faster. But uses up my data. Can you tell me what I can do to change this...
I've issue with the sound of iphone 4s, last 2 days, suddenly no sound coming out of the speaker but it is ringing and speaker during calls working well But no sound for example: for the video clips, youtube, games apps, etc. I've restored the iphone but the issue not yet resolved. Hi. I have a iPhone 5. When I plug my phone In to charge it charges fine but it has to be plugged in perfectly straight. If I move or knock the charging adapter in the phone it will stop charging even though it is still plugged in the phone. The adapter seems like it only can be charged when it is in a certain position. This is obviously a fault. It is not my adapter as I have tried several different ones. There must be something wrong with the charging port on the iPhone. What I would like to know would this be coved under apples warranty?
Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! My cable never charges in one position and is intermittent in the other. Is this a common problem , dirt or component failure? How good is Apple at standing behind this cable?

Spyware is very easily accessible and requires nothing from the Apple store, and although I realize some of these posts are several years old-at this point, it is simply misinformation. All one needs is a similar program to the one in the link above and not only can your sms messages be accessed, your calls be intercepted and recorded, but the camera in your phone can be remotely accessed and activated at any given time without your knowledge. As you tap away on your handy little iPhone you love so much, in whatever possibly "compromising" or embarrassing position you may be in at the time, a creeper can be looking you straight in your face or observing your enviornement at their leisure. Imagine the horror in finding out that you were sitting there on the toilet gaming and someone was watching you the whole time or better yet, while you were involved in an intimate interaction while your phone sat charging on a dock on the nightstand next to the bed? How about knowing that every incoming and outgoing communication is recorded and documented for the creep to scroll and read through like a book? This is some scary stuff, and it's been used on me via an encrypted picture message. I've done a full restore of my iPhone and the pc used for backing up via iTunes to ensure that the spyware wasn't then rooted into the pc or the iTunes, and was even told to create an etirely new Apple ID, but aside from this and there being no true scanning software for malware, spyware or viruses for the iPhone-how can I be sure that this encrypted software has truly been eradicated? Is there an antiviral program that I am unware of? I'm not looking for a secure AVG browser, I'm looking for a detect and destroy scanner program. <Link Edited by Host>
Over the past five months, I have purchased over five different charger cables for my iphone 5 which i bought new in December. For some reason, after months, weeks or even days, he latest charger stops working. Sometimes the phone is plugged in and it doesn't respond at all to the cable, other times, the cable only functions when in a certain position. I am so angry at this as I'm spending and will continue to spend a lot of money to charge my phone. Am I doing something wrong? (This was never an issue with my iphone 3 and the cable even worked when the connector head seemed half broken off). What should I do? And also, is anyone else having this issue, because if not, then it must be an issue with my actual phone, no?Thanks
I know of an app called boom on macbook pro, but is there something, whether it be hardware or software, that will allow me to adjust the levels on my iphone for everything that produces sound? so if I watch a youtube video and want it equalized, it will be adjusted to my preset levels, or if I want to listen to pandora, it will automatically be adjusted to my preset levels? Hi folks, Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of Airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting Airplay (youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!

hi, tonight my iphone5 camera stopped working. i am running os version 6.1.3 when i select camera app it opens but appears with the shutter stuck in closed position and nothing will unlock it. i have tried the following: 1) hard shut down phone & restart2) reset phone3) done a restore from back upnothing worked. anyone have any suggestions please? thank you,wayne

So I've had the black iPhone 5 since October and only recently has the power button been a little off. I tried finding solutions for this online and the problem can be displayed in this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4uSROJwU_w Sometimes it works, but more than half the time clicking the power button on the right side will cause it to either not respond or cause it to blink (if locked) or lock then turn back on instantly (if trying to lock and screen is on). Left side seems to work fine but I'd just like to know what the cause is and if it's due to hardware issues covered by the one year warranty.
Since yesterday on my IPhone 4 IOS 5.1.1 in the original youtube App all recently played videos AND favorites get deleted everytime i close the youtube App. Has anyone a solution for this problem?

Hi, Yesterday I lost my iphone 5 which I bought 3 months back... I filled a police complaint, but i am not very hopeful with them. As Indian police will never make a move to find a cell phone. Anyways, Fortunately the "find my iphone" app was there in the phone and the location services were enabled with data. I tried to find it out from icloud.com portal but cell seems to be offline. And on calling the cell it is switched off. The only thing which I did not do in my iphone was to set a passcode. I am not sure how does the app behaves if some one restarts the phone. Is it possible for the thief to erase all data despite the app being active on the phone? Is it possible for the thief to use the phone by reseting it to factory setting without me getting location of the phone? I saw in one of the youtube tutorials that the phone will switch on and it ill try to find the data network, and if it finds data then it will send me intimation and blocks the cell. however, what is the scenario if the thief dont use the data and put on the phone? Or if he uses a SIM that does not have data connection? Can they reuse my phone. Can I do anything to prevent them using my iphone. I am trying to get my phone's IMEI number on tracking but dont know if it works before they reprogram my cell.( if at all they have so much brain). I am running out of usage space. How do I increase the total amount of space I have on my iPhone4S: for things like programs & apps such as, iTunes & more music & like MusicTube & youtube. The only reason I have any space now is because the music that I had downloaded and synced onto my phone from iTunes I had to take it all off. I would really really love to be able to put my music back onto my iPhone. Currently I'm using apps like Spotify, AOLradio, and MusicTube to listen to music. I have updated my Iphone 5 to IOS 6 latest version (6.1.3) last week. Since then, Apple Maps doesn't display maps anymore on screen. GPS position and directions appear but on a blank screen. 3G and LTE aren't teh problem, iut works well with other apps and Google Maps. Is there anyone having the same issue ?
Okay so it pretty much simple. If i play music from youtube and than minimize it, and trying to play button, it just doesnt play.But if i play and it appers on my screen and i lock the iphone, than it play it, without any problem
This is exteremly unbelieveable. My youtube app on my iPhone says the videos were uploaded 43 years ago! I was not even born by that time. Any idea what's going on? I reset the settings and erased content 3 times via the "Erase all content and settings" but this keeps happening.

I really dont want to try the hairdryer and freezer method as im not sure if its safe. Please help!!

iPhone doesn't show charge more than 1%, however working longer then expecting at this amount of battery charge. I was playing several games for about 30 min., captured 5 min. video, watched few youtube videos, everything with turned on wi-fi, bluetooth, location services, etc. What logically means nothing wrong with the actual battery capacity, something wrong with the software. Due to this problem iPhone doesn't turn on, as it probably believe it have low charge, only after several hour plugged to charger (about 4-5) it goes on working again. Things done: Hard reset (many, maybe too many times)Sofware restore P.S. Before software restore, iPhone was turning on quicker then after restore. Hi experts, need some help. I've had my iP4 for 2 years now, mostly trouble free. Recently my sounds have "mostly" stopped working and I just can't figure out why. I've done a lot of troubleshooting so here is what the symptoms are: - Volume up/down buttons do not work, nothing happens when pressed- Silent switch does not work, nothing happens when switched- Lock sound does not happen- Phone does not ring (only vibrates)- Phone does not alert or chime - Some apps audio does not work, but most apps play audio fine (youtube, music, videos, most games, etc)- When selecting ring-tone or alert sounds I can hear the sound, so the speaker is working fine Here is what I've tried- check all settings and switches, certainly not a setting issue- cleaned the dock connector with a brush, it is very clean- cleaned headphone jack, and insert/remove headphones multiple times- wiped all settings and restored to factory settings- updated to latest ios6 firmware- deleted "com.apple.iapd.plist" file using iexplorer, did nothing Seems like I'm just about out of options now! I've been using Nike+ GPS since it came out on my iPhone 3GS, then 4S, and now most recently my iPhone 5. I have been running the same route for years, but I noticed the iPhone 5 was recording a slightly shorter run (not much just about 0.05 to 0.1 mile). When I looked at the map view of my running route it was obvious that the iPhone 5 was not picking up the final few 100 feet of my run where I get to the end of the path and turn around to go back the same way. I compared it to the map records on Nike of the same route I've been running forever and those route traces clearly show the right end point compared other features on the map. So today I tried something else: I ran to the end point of my route and then paused my run and stood in place for 30 seconds and then restarted the run going back. This time when I got home the Nike+ route map showed exactly the right endpoint and the total mileage was correct. So it looks like Apple did something bad with the either the iPhone 5 GPS system probably to conserve battery life. It must only ping the location every X seconds, so if you are on a route and turn around it's going to miss the end point of your route unless you are lucky enough to hit that location at the same time the GPS pings. Note I'm quite sure I ran the most recent iOS on my iPhone 4S before upgrading phones so I don't think this is an iOS or Nike+ problem. I do not claim to understand the details of how the iPhone GPS calculates position (I think it is also supposed to use an accelerometer for error checking and refinement), but the iPhone 5 GPS location is clearly a downgrade from the iPhone 4S. After fell in water of a pool (chlorine water) my Iphone 4S remained working for 4 hours aprox.,even tried to dry it with a hair dryer.Today its working but some loudspeaker functions are not working,i.e. cannot get sound from youtube videos,only earphones working,cannot get sound from some messages.Sound from incoming calls is working good.Aditionally ,because the earphone plug could not be inserted well after a while(some obstruction inside de jack) ,I ve tried to spray with a contact cleaner solution and this solution damaged a part of the display.:-(What do you reccomend to do first?Thanks
I've had this phone for about 3 days, its brand new so why is it having charging problems already? I've read online and watched youtube videos about people experiencing the same problem but have found no solution. If I can't get help here should I go to Apple or Sprint to get this problem solved?
Hello. I want to replace my iphone 5 32gb sim-free with a new one under the worldwide warranty. My phone shows some defects, reboots periodically with screen artifacts. when i plug in my iphone 5 into my laptop it doesnt recognize it or even charge. this has just recently occured as it has never been a problem before. i connected my iphone 3g into my computer and it worked fine. why is this happening? also, my charger has randomly decided to be stubborn and it has to charge in a certain postition but this shouldnt be a problem with connecting because i have it in the correct position. oh. and i just installed ios 6.1.2.... please help!
My iPhone 5 seems to have an issue with its camera, whereby upon starting the camera app, the camera goes as far as showing the shutter screen and sometimes a blank screen instead. None of the buttons on the screen are functional at that point except the gallery of course. Even the front facing camera isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to mend this problem. Yes, I know that it is best for me to go to the Apple service centre and sort it out but I'd prefer if there is any close-to-home quick-fix method anyone know of I can employ? Besides, I've been told that it takes about 14 working days for my phone to get checked and fixed. It's a bit too long for me with university around the corner. So any ideas? So here my iPhone froze or something happened so I procede to turn off and then turn on the device. It loads the Apple showing that it is going to boot back up but then it sits there or freezes there. So I go on youtube and look for a tut and all I found was just to put in DFU mode. I do that and my computer says that it can't load because there's a password and it follows saying that I need to go and disable the passcode. And I can't do that because it freezes at the Apple loading screen. So is the last thing I have to resort to is that I have to get new iPhone?
Hi, I've got a White iPhone 4 16GB Model and recently I've had trouble with it. First it started to drain the battery really fast so i decided to replace the battery but that didn't do the trick it still drained the battery. 15 days after replacing the battery i noticed the phone dumped its own operating system and reverted back to factory settings (iOS 5+ First time setup screen) i set the phone back up again and just left it. after a few months of not touching it, because i got 2 other iPhone's (4s & 5) that i can use i thought i would restore the whole OS using iTunes and hoping that would solve the problem but i cant get far as to loading iOS onto the phone. after extracting the software the phone restarts and displays the 2001 error. Help please. I have an iPhone 5 that experiences slow streaming over Wi-Fi. I would say it’s started from day one and never got better. I currently own an iPhone 3GS, 4S and iPad2 that don’t experience this problem. When I connect to any Wi-Fi network including Apple’s store network, after 5 mins videos played in youtube no longer buffer or buffer very slow with jerky playback. When I switch to 3G it loads with no problems and I am not with the fastest telco. My current download speed at home is 20Mbs and I am not loading HD content. I have don’t heaps of research and tried the following:Re-set my router 2.4g and 5gTired a new router 2.4g and 5gVarious security settings on the routerRe-set my phone and restored (took 4 days)Re-set my phone and tested while in out of box stateRe-set network settings on my phoneTest it at the apple store Finally Apple replaced my phone and that too is doing the same thing, plus I think the battery has capacity issues now. Just taken another step back. As anybody got any ideas as to why I am having this issue with streaming? Is there a fix? Regards,Michael

I know the apps store will not give me an old version,that is why i do not use my Mac or iMac to replace the application however this has also been updated on my Macs. The end result is that, WHEN IT REACHES DATA MIGRATION,THE SCREEN WILL BE BLACK OR LIGHT BLUE BLACK,WITH A WHITE SCROLLING LINE THREAD ON THE DEVICE SCREEN,MEANING MIGRATION IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE. THIS WILL MOVE FOR ABOUT 2 or 3SECONDS,AND IT WILL CRASH. I have tried this several time,i do not mind starting all over again,i just want it to work with iCloud. We can give you feedback,and i praise your effort for not getting tired to respond. This is a good and real customer service assistance of which i really appreciate. Hello, well I have an iphone 4 att 16 gb. The home button wasn't working on it so I decided to replace it and all. It was successfully but something went wrong. As I was putting in the battery back in the end to "test" out the iphone. The little plastic flap with the hazard sign was stuck folded back and I forgot to unfold it when I put the battery back. So I decieded to pull the battery out again. I was gently going to open the battery tab to disconnect the battery and for some reason, the battery tab came out. Now I thought, oh well if I at least put it back into position the battery tab, it would fit in and be sort of "fixed". I plugged in my iphone to the wallcharger, it turned on my iphone and suddenly the ios 6 sign comes on... I use an iPhone 4S now so I haven't really updated this one that I was fixing. Afterwards, I slide to open bar on the ios 6 screen and then the next screen has the "connect to iTunes" image. So I do that, but after I disconnect my iphone 4 from the USB cord, the iphone shuts off. Weird I though and then I connect it iTunes in my computer, but now my iphone keeps turning on with the apple logo then off like less 5 seconds repeatably. This was my 4th time opening up my iphone 4, but now this thing happened I don't what to do really.
Hi guys this thing is driving me crazy, everytime I turn on my iPhone and want to enter an App (twitter, what's, youtube, etc.) it asks me for my Apple ID. I don't think this is normal and it really annoys me, in my other iPhone this never happened. I don't know what to do, I'll appreciate some help. Thank guys.
Is there something wrong with my phone? I get fast wifi speeds like 50Mbps down and 7Mbps up. But whenever I try to load a video off youtube every second it downloads two seconds of video. On LTE it's insanely quick. I'm about to take this this phone back.
