Why Apple doesn't change my iphone in Argentina Why have I to go USA for change iphone 4S

On febraury I bought an iphone 4S but now the wifi doesn't work, this is a common problem in the iphone, but now I am in Argentina and in my country there isn't any place where repair my telephone. I called to Apple to tech support and they told me they could not assist me because they only assist people from Mexico and Canada, and that I had to speak to an authorized service center in Argentina, so I went to the place they told me, in that place I say they can not sorting the problem, that the only solution is to travel to USA to change.Because they tell me that if in legal terms of the warranty states that if Apple so you can make changes determined through some mail? Why not give me that option? I have the right to use my iphone in its 100%, the truth that without wifi and bluetooth is how to use it by 50%.Any recommendations?

Dear All, I dropped my iphone a few months back and ever since it's been in a support case (I bought it 1 day after dropping the iphone 5 to the floor... how cruel can life be). I'm not worried about the dent in the upper right corner (power button). I'm more concerned about sound it makes when you shake it (it had this since day 4 already)... + the fact that the power button is not working anymore (even that I can overcome if needed).Nevertheless I'm worried about the warranty. I live in Europe (Belgium) and have to say that I'm completely disappointed in the service of the store where I bought my phone (an official apple reseller but not an apple store). With that said I rather know my options in terms of warranty other than asking it in the shop (cause they'll argue anyway). It's an official iphone, done nothing fishy with it (only shouldn't have dropped it )

I got my first iphone as a gift the other day (32GB iphone 5 from Verizon). However, the camera app on it does not work. When I launch it, either the closed shutter is displayed, or the screen is completely black and none of the "buttons" (i. e. options and switching between front and rear cameras) work. I have tried completely closing out of the app and doing a restore of my iphone through iTunes, but it still does not work. I have a case, but the lens is completely visible. Any help would be appreciated!

My iphone 4 has just completed my two year contract with vodafone. However in this time my phone broke and I used apple to repair it. Which in fact is actually a switch service. So now I have a different imei number than what I started with. I rang vodafone to unlock my phone, but they say they can't and there is nothing they can do as the phone was not issued by them. i have just had my iphone 4s lcd repaired and black spots are on screeen

i recently dropped my iphone4s,screen didnt smash or marked but wouldn't light up,made all the right sounds.took it to be repaired at local mobile shop and they sent it away to have new lcd and digitizer replaced.  I got it marked and noticed home button had dropped then 5/6 days later 3 black marks/spots appeared on the bottom right hand side of screen??? returned to shop and engineer is refusing to repair as saying i damaged phone......I havent done anything apart from use it as it should be.can anyone shed some light as to why this is happening? many thanks

So a nasty smash destroyed both Front & Back of my iphone 4, and since having them replaced the Wifi signal has been really weak. I have seen other posts about screen replacement having to be done by going through the antenna, so something could be missing, or done incorrectly during the screen repair. Will definately be taking it back to the shop and finding out if It was put back together properly.  In the meantime I was wondering if it is possible to share my Macbook Pro's Wifi (always full signal in my house) directly to my iphone either using USB cable or through bluetooth. It's not been too much of a problem but it would be nice to use my iphone in bedroom using the Macbooks good signal.  Note: The replacement front screen on iphone has a small gap >1mm between the screen and centre metal casing on the left side just above the Silent/Loud Switch, which can be noticed by light leaking through the gap. The metal casing also still has a small dent between the volume down buttons and silent/loud switch, again nothing drastic 1mm maximum

Hello apple support community.My i phone 5 that I recently bought last Sunday (May 5th) has some major issues. The battery life is TERRIBLE!! I have tried to lower brightness, turn off lte, turn off vibration, etc... But nothing is working!!! I exchanged the iphone for another black 32 gig, but event this one is pretty bad. I got 5hrs 20mins of usage, and 7hrs 16mins on standby. This is my second charge on this new phone. Do not buy Apple product in Belgium, there is no support!!! So, here it goes: Three day ago I bought an iphone 5, at a Mobistar shop in Belgium. 700 euros. Unfortunaly, it has a defective screen, light bleeding at the top of the screen. So I went back to the shop, to get an exchange. But no, they refused. They have to send it back to Apple for repair. It will take three weeks. But I can't stay 3 weeks without a phone. And I can't just pop the sim card into an old phone, either: it's a micro-sim, and the iphone is the only one who uses that... Except maybe if I buy another new, top of the line phone... And I don't have the money to do that... So I call Apple, directly: "Did you buy it on our website? Sorry, nothing we can do. You have to go through the operator." So basically, I am screwed. I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone I have been holding back from updating my iOS on my iphone 4s (I know - not a smart move) I am currently still on 5.1.1 and trying to update to 6.1.3 (finally) from the phone itself (not via iTunes) I am trying to downlaod and install the update using Wi-Fi connectivity, but it just wouldn't let me? Kept saying An Error occured while downloading... It didn't give me any error code or any other explanation. It just simply won't update  I know it was silly of me to begin with for not updating for so long, but I don't understand why my phone is rejecting the update? If this is even what is happening..  Also I sent my iMac for repair recently, came back with a Lion (which was what I had on there previously anyway) but it wasn't updated? So I couldn't just open iTunes and restore all my contacts..  AND I am still currently in the process of downloading the updates - but something always happens as well, an error occured that I have to re-download the update, internet drops on and off, etc.  -- The reason I wanted to update was (this is a whole separate problem) my 4s kept crashing the apps, not doing anything out of ordinary - it just crashes everytime i start or a open an app. So I would hard reset my phone (turning it off and on again) and then I would find all my contacts gone. No other entries are gone, just my contact names! All messages and calendar entries are all still there - just no contact names in my address book. ***? After sleuthing here and there, and found no real solution to this problem. I decided to update my iOS because one of the discussion thread I found told me to try that. Heck, why not.  SO I tried uploading and this is where I end up..    Does ANYONE have any idea what the **** is going on? Does anyone else out tehre have the same problem? Surely this is not just me!!

Rectangle transparent shield has appeared blocking taps on keypad iphone 5

A weird rectangular, transparent, shield has appeared "above" any key selected from lock code to apps that blocks any tapping on any keys or keypad.If I tap hard and fast, it might catch but then enters the number, or whatever, multiple times (cause of rapid tapping).  This has happened 6 times since March, where I've had to fully restore factory setting. First time, didn't know had to manually back up apps, dir., etc., so had to re-build it all 1st time. Since, same weird transparent shield appears, then no button will "select" or function until full restore. Because after rapid tapping, hard, one might stick, after 1, 2, 3, Dozentaps, it proves something transparent is blocking (the rectangle appears as a fine point box line hovering above anything I tap). This last time, the full restore put it back, and the problem is still there.Am back on my old 4S, which I kept, as spare (amazingly) until a fix.  Will prolly have to send it in on a slow boat to China, where itwas made, which is gonna be quicker than a repair job, I'm sure. Nothing like this comes up on the forum, any advice is well appreciated.Thank you kindly.

not purchase LifeProof case iphone 5

Less than two months ago, I purchased an iphone 4S 16G, as well as a LifeProof case, which the dealer told me was superior to an Otterbox. It is touted to be waterproof, dirtproof, snow/iceproof, and shockproof. Up until today, I have been quite pleased with my case, though the screen protector does make it a bit harder to to tap the screen. Today, I had my phone in my pocket. When I bent over, it fell out and hit the ground from a height of two feet. It was completely in its case, and I had performed all the checks recommended before using the case. It fell on to carpet. When I picked it up, the case was undamaged, but the entire front of my phone was shattered. It look as though it had been hit by a bullet. The screen still worked, but it was covered with tiny shards of glass. The damage seemed focused around the ear speaker at the top of the phone. I have in the past dropped an iPod touch, sans case, face down onto tile, and the damage was about 4x less than the current damage on my phone. I immediately called Apple, who told me that the warranty did not apply to my situation (though this was not a surprise). I would have to replace my phone, refurbished for $150 or new for $200. I then called LifeProof, at which point I discovered that their warranty only covers the case. They will not refund your phone, though they offered to give me a new case. The person I spoke to told me that he used a LifeProof case, and that his screen had cracked several times while using it. He recommended going to an independent phone dealership who would repair my screen. In short, this overpriced case does almost nothing. To be fair, I have had no problems with the waterproof aspect of the case. However, it will not protect your phone from even the most minor drop that would normally not damage the phone at all. I have seen several accounts of LifeProof owners who put their phone in their pocket and pull it out cracked. This case is not worth $1, let alone $80. For emphasis, I have included some photos of what my phone looks like after the fall. Remember, this was only two feet and onto carpet while in the supposedly shock-proof case.

I had a local repair store diagnose the sudden death of my iphone 4 to continuous charging. As per the details I received, it is not advisable to leave the phone connected to the power supply longer than required to charge the battery 100%. The repair workshop has got the phone up and running after replacing an IC, as well as correcting a loose battery connector. Wonder if anyone else encountered the above. Best,wirefree

iphone 5 keeps shutting off

About a month ago my iphone 5 turned itself off. It does this now a couple times a day and I have to hold down both the menu button and the power button for almost 10 seconds to have it restart. Lately, I go to take the phone out of standby and it shows a power cable conneted to the iTunes logo. I still have to hold down both the menu button and the power button for almost 10 seconds to have it restart. The phone holds its charge and I make sure I am charging the phone everyday. Not sure what it is causing this. This morning when the power cable and the iTunes logo appeared I plugged the phone into my computer and opened itunes. It found the phone, but said it needed to repair and install everything from a previous backup. So I did that hoping that would solve the shut down issue, but it did not. Has anyone heard of this happening. The phone had been working great. Any thoughts?

Okay so i got my iphone 5 for my birthday on Febuary 10th 2013.I was really happy with it until yesterday/early this morning, I was charging my phone when it light up and vibrated giving me a charging error.     Not being very careful today, I dropped my phone and it landed flat on its glass front screen. Dusch! Cracked screen! SOUND BAR SUDDENLY DISSAPEAR iphone 4

It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iphone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named:  com.apple.iapd.plist  is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.
