I'm restoring my iphone 4S on iTunes 11.0 and it's stuck on restoring firmware
My phone won't send picture messages to any phone other than an iphone and when I googled it, the solution was to restore it.So I did. Downloading the software itself took nearly 3 hours, but whatever. My phone restarted, but now the bar is stuck at ~3/4 done and it's on "restoring firmware". It's been this way for over 20min. I use iTunes 11.0 and Windows 7.Can anyone help me out? Would it be bad to reboot my computer at this stage?

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.
I bought an iphone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked
I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iphone, why can't Apple help on this issue? I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. iphone 5 keeps turning itself off
Hi Ive had iphone 5 since it came out, and recently this year, its been turning itself off with plenty of battery life and wont allow me to turn it back on until I have plugged it into wall charger to 'charge' it back up. When its plugged in, it returns to the battery level it was originaly at....30%, 50% for example. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Im going to do a iCloud and computer back up and restore firmware see if that helps?Chris

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me as my wife's iphone completely froze up after synching with the latest version of iTunes. In the end, the only thing she could do was re-set the iphone, thereby of course losing everything. Reconnecting to her laptop restored music and most apps, it seems she has to re-download the other apps again direct to the phone. Now the problem is images. There is an ipod cache directory on the laptop Pictures directory, and in this are folders labelled F00, F01 etc.. and a "Photo Database" file. In each of the Fnn directories is a series of files, called Txxx.ithmb, each of which is about 1,500KB. Doing a backup from the laptop indicates there are about 2900 files overall.Altogether there is about 3GB in this folder, so it looks to be a lot of space. Pointing iTunes to the directory containing all this and synching, still results in zero images being found. She went to the local Apple store for help, to be told these are not the images, but then elsewhere I have read that these are the full files, and this proprietary format contains three different resolution images. If the images taken on the iphone are not here, where are they? Finally, how on earth do we convince iTunes to recognize these files and imporrt them again? Sorry to be thick but losing everything thanks to the latest iTunes was rather catastrophic! Any help/ideas/suggestions greatfully received... The photo files were a mix of photos taken on the iphone and images previously uploaded from the laptop. Cheers Chipontheroad

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! iphone 5 lockscreen green glow
Hey. My iphone 5 is currently on firmware 6.0.2 and there is an apparent green glow in the lower parts of the lockscreen when I unlock the phone and it gets more prominent if the phone has been unlocked after a longer time. The glow is a lot like the screenshot of other users facing the same problem. Now, I saw that everyone was getting it fixed by asking for a replacement. My problem is, the phone was bought in the UK and I am currently in Bangladesh where there are no official Apple stores. How should I ask for a replacement and what should be the procedure for it? Before I purchased my iphone 5 on 12/31 I read a lot of reviews saying how updating the version of iOS from the original one that comes with the iphone 5 has a bad effect on battery life. Because of the countless reviews featuring this complaint, I have never updatd my software from iOS 6.0.1 since I got my phone over 4 months ago in fear of experiencing future battery life problems. 6.1.4 came out a week or so ago and I'm wondering if the battery life issue has been addressed by now. If I choose to update, will my iphone eat up battery life faster? I am very meticulous with closing apps and being able to go over 24 hours without having to charge my iphone. Please advise. Thanks!
Was able to get an HK iphone 5 replacement in Canada
My iphone, purchased in Hong Kong, suffered water damage in Canada and the personnel at the Apple store was unable to provide me with a replacement phone. Their reason is that HK model is different from the North American versions that they carry, hence replacement would need to take place in Hong Kong Apple stores. I am wondering if it came across anyone's situation where they were able to get a replacement iphone 5 in Canada, even though it is not the North American version. Alternative solutions are also welcomed. Thanks!

Following the most recent ios version update, my iphone 5 completely crapped out and had that little usb symbol on the screen. I called Apple...they walked me through transferring all my almost 3000 photos/videos to my computer (obviously not able to do through iTunes/iCloud when my phone wasn't functioning). I asked if everything else (about 250 apps...no music) would be in the most recent cloud backup which was only a couple hours before the phone crapped out. They said yes. I did the restore and only about 30 of my 250ish apps restored! I never saw all my apps in my iTunes for some reason and all the apps that I can see in my iTunes have been restored. I wasn't at capacity for iCloud storage either because it happened a couple months ago and I bought more storage space. I've only been an iphone user since Dec 2012 so PLEASE HELP if you can and let me know if there is anymore inof you need from me to help me troubleshoot. PS=I use a good 30-40 of those apps while I'm running experiential marketing campaigns in the field...one of which is a HUGE campaign I'm managing starting tomorrow. As golfer I would like to use my iphone for distance measuring on the golf course instead of a dedicated Golf GPS device. There are a number of such applications avaliable. The issue is that USGA and R&A (the owner of the golf rules) will render the device (my iphone 4s) non-conforming when its a compass istalled on the device! If it would be possible to reemove the compass I can use my iphone but I'm not aware of any possibillity to do that. Is ther any?! Ideal would be if the (visuable) compass application have to be installed from Apple Store as optional in next OS version!

Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iphone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Issues after 6.1.4 update iphone 5
IS anyone else having issues after the 6.1.4 update? Here is what I have experienced in the last two days. 1- Unable to access a locked or secure network. It asks for password initially. When entered, it is unable to connect. I restart and then go to Settings, find the network and click. I never get a prompt for the password, just "Unable to Connect" 2-Bluetooth. I can after a few attempts to connect my Bluetooth headphones, only after I get a "Failed attempt" a few times. Then only music works, unable to make phone calls. This happens with two different products. A SENA SMH 10R and LG HBS 700. 3- Music play - I found this issue out when trying to figure out problem with Bluetooth. I can start to play a song fine, but if I click on the ">>" or "<< " it freaks the player out and then skips multiple songs or stops play and goes back to the playlist. At first it was doing this with the Bluetooth headphones when using it to make selections. So I deleted the devices and the iphone continued to do it when selecting functions on the screen. Some playlists did it and some don't. Creating a new playlist did not help. Additional Info.Apple Store replaced my iphone on Saturday 5.4.13 because if antina issues. The issues above came after I restored from backup and updated the OS. I have erased the phone 2 times since getting the new phone and restored from back up and rebuilt from Itunes and neither way makes a difference above. What is going ON? Hi guys , i have an iphone 4s its about 3 months old and im having battery issues :fp: iv tried nearly every possible thing out there to solve this but it doesnt seem to work , i have tried full charge and full drain. I have been racking my brain with a wifi issue with my iphone 4s. I cannot toggle the wifi switch to on to allow the phone to search for wifi networks. It seems like an issue with the hardware in the phone. I have done numerous backups and restore to factory settings but the phone refuses to wipe out the existing wifi adress set into the phone and the only way to change this is through the on off function in the phone which I cannot switch on.I cannot restore back to older firmware as even on factory reset it uses 6.1.3 as the OS. I figure this is an apple issue with the phone and needs to be taken back? Barney

After my latest update on my iphone 4 my phone started just shutting down and restarting by itself. I have tried to restore the phone with the latest version of iTunes but now get the error message that iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode. Well that's fine, I selected recovery and when it appears that the recovery mode is going to go through the recovery mode returns an error code. The first code I received is the error 1656, then a 26, then the final attempt I got an error code 21. This phone has never been dropped, mishandled, or taken any physical damage. It was working great before I attempted to update. Please if anyone else has experienced this let me know how you resolved these errors. I have attempted every trouble-shooting step indicated on the Apple support site. HELP!

My third attempt to fix my iphone 4s. I've gone through two phones calls, three associates, and one Tech. support supervisor. The only thing said to me was "I cant do anything". I've explained my problem, as thorough as possible but the only option was to purchase a replacment for $200. I've restored my phone multiple times with zero effect, each with a clean restoration of iOS 6.1.3. If there is a solution to this problem I will greatly appreciate it. I accidentally deleted my iTunes library. How I transfer contents of iphone to new iTunes library
Okay. So this was what happened: I was updating my iTunes library to the latest version. All of a sudden, my netbook crashed and eventually was hanging. So I removed the battery and restarted my netbook. I later found out, my iTunes got deleted. I didnt panic at first since I deliberately deleted my iTunes before and reinstalled it again finding all my files back in the iTunes. But this time, when I reinstalled it, all my files were gone! With this situation, can I transfer all my current files from my iphone to my new iTunes library? I don't mind losing my music but I just want to safely sync my iphone to this new iTunes library without erasing my current apps and photos. Hope you guys can help me!

Mi iphone 5 (desbloqueado de fábrica, comprado en USA a través de Apple en noviembre 2012) no puedo conectarse a la red de Iusacell y "quema" todos los nano sim cards que se le insertan... Sin embargo funcionaba perfecto con la red de T-Mobile. Al comprar el equipo directamente con Apple me aseguraron que serviría para México. Los técnicos no pueden ayudarme. No entienden por qué reconoce por un minuto o dos la red pero no tarda en aparecer NO SERVICE ¿qué puedo hacer? Ayuda ¡Gracias!

Everytime i go to plug my phone (iphon4) in to my computer to my itunes for some reason it gives me a messageThe iphone "ipone" can not be used because it requires itunes version 10.6.3 or later go to www.itunes.com to down load the latest itunes ? like i mean the phone is upddated to the latest update and well there is nothing to update on the phone to that or the computer /.?

Device: iphone 4S (GSM)iOS version: 6.1.3Capacity: 16 GBJailbreak: NoCarrier: TELCELCountry: Mexico Problema con el Volumen:Lo que pasa es que a veces es de que cuando tengo reproduciendo musica / videos derepende se le va el audio al iphone y desaparece el control de volumen, y tarda para que aparezca de nuevo, no se que es lo que pasa o por que hace eso, si a alguien le sucede algo similar y lo pudo arreglar, por favor pueden indicarme cuales son los pasos a seguir para quitar esta molestia. Problema con el Reproductor / Musica:La cancion ya termino y no se cambia la caratula y empieza la otra a sonar, o la cancion se esta reproduciendo y la barra de la cancion (no del volumen) no avanza se queda en 0:00 y la cancion esta sonando e incluso acaba la cancion empieza la otra y la que puse originalmente esta en la pantalla principal. No se si este problema venga relacionado con lo del control del volumen. La verdad si sabe alguien como solucionar estos dos inconvenientes se lo agradecere mucho. Airplay Mirroring and HBO Go Audio Problems iphone 3G
Hi folks, Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of Airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iphone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting Airplay (Youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!
apprarently my iphone 4 att was not configures propertly-apparently upgrade software option not included in settings-general tab. I am still on original 4.3.1v which came with iphone . I need to transfer contacts to cloud-v.5
The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade.
