organize apps in itunes iPhone 3G

When I sync my iphone 4s or my ipad in itunes with the lates upgrade in itunes I don't see how I can organize my apps, to move them from one screen to the other.  I've looked all over itunes as the device is syncing and I see nothing, use to be on the right side and you could drag from one area to the other.  Anyone know?

My IPhone shut off and will not turn back on

SO here's what happened,  I was texting a friend and listening to music on my iphone... Then all of a sudden I get this pop up notification that says "This adaptor is not supported" I didnt have my phone plugged in and then all of a sudden it turned off and will not start back up. I tried the following:Charge my phone for an hourPressed the sleep/power+home button for 20 secondsPressed the home button and plugged it in my computer while doing so Now with that said, I need to know the following:Is there hope for my Phone?And if I have to replace it, can I go to my cell phone provider-ATT and have them replace it ( I have insurance on it) because the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away.  All the advice the better!

Water Damage iPhone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iPhone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iPhone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iPhone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iPhone 4S when the next generation iPhone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Crashing and screen flickering problems. iPhone 4

I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iPhone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iPhone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iPhone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

My iphone 5 loses battery extremely fast

Ok so my iPhone is pretty new I got it like a few weeks ago. It was fine at first but now it loses battery super quick. I charge it over night and in the morning when I unplug it I literally lose a percent immediately and then I check Facebook for a bit and it goes down to 95-93%.Is this happening to anyone else? What do I do about it? I'm running on IOS 6.1.4 and have about 7GB left from my 32GB capacity.

Iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

iphone 4s battery problems. 4 hours of usage

I got my iphone 4s a little less than two weeks ago and I am getting 4 hours of use and 4 hours of standby before my battery is almost dead. It also gets hot while charging or sometime while just texting people. I took the phone to my local sprint store and they tested the battery and said it was fine. I really don't see what else I can do. I turned siri off. I don't have many apps at all. I even exit them all out constantly every few minutes. I've tried everything anyone has said to try and help it but no luck. I don't even get service in my house so I'm rarely ever on the phone (maybe a combined total of 1 hour since I have had the phone)  and the only texts I send are to people that have imessage because those can be sent with wifi. I really don't want to have to send my phone to apple and wait. But because the test showed nothing, sprint will not give me a new phone. What can I do?

First issue Itunes will not sync with iphone 4s

i updated my iphone 4s to 6.1.3 and since then I cannot sync or "drag & drop" any music to my iphone.  I have done a hard reset, restore to factory settings, deauthorize / authorize and pretty much anything else that involves checking and unchecking and as I expecting nothing worked.  Am I missing some little detail because everything thing worked just fine before with itunes that is.  I cannot do any wifi sync since my phone is also greyed out with wifi and bluetooth.  If anyone has any other suggestions please entertain me because I am at a loss here.

Yesterday I was texting one of my friends when we got into a text bomb match thing when I sent a really long message like 100,000 characters my phone foreclosed the messaging app and everytime I have tried to foreclose it after hitting the home button twice it pops up with a blank little preview of what the messaging app would look like without any messages or options. Please help me fix this problem I mainly use my phone for texting! What are some possible solutions to the problem??

Cant find my library iPhone 3G

I just got back in an Iphone after being a droid guy for a few years and I am having an embarassing noob problem, I cant seem to find my library on my phone. First my laptop that had all my music stored on it died so i went to Bestbuy and got a new one, I signed into itunes and was able to get all of my music from the cloud, as far as "the cloud" is concerned i really no nothing about it other than it knows what I have bought and seems to back them up for me. The next week i got an iphone 5, I set it up on my pc and created a huge playlist and dragged it on over. My problem is that when I open Itunes on my phone it goes straight to the store and I cant seem to find MY library, if I go to MORE it shows DOWNLOADED and PURCHASED which contains the songs from the playlist. I dont know if im having a cloud problem, phone problem, or pc problem, can someone stear me in the right direction please.

My charger hasn't suddenly stopped working. I've tried charging via my laptop as well and no luck. The ac adaptor is also making a strange buzzing noise when I remove it from the socket. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Or know of any quick fix?

Transfer photos back and forth to OS X WITHOUT iPhoto or iTunes iPhone 3G

I googled to no end, searched Apple support forums endlessly and you know what? Not a single simple answer can seem to be given without being redirected to something that simply does not answer THIS very specific question. Is it, or is it not possible to quickly transfer photos DIRECTLY *FROM* and *INTO* the Camera Roll WITHOUT iTunes or iPhoto? Simple question yes? lol. NOPE. Reason why I ask can be simply described in short: iTunes 11.0.2, running iPhone iOS 6.1; Clicking "Photos" from my iPhone via iTunes, gives me ONE single option; "Sync photos from". Tried keeping it real simple. Make a folder on the desktop called iPhone Photos just for quickly transfering photos back and forth and chose to synch from that. 18 photos to test. Just crap from the internet. Nothing major. Know what it does? For one, it takes 3 minutes or so to sync 18 whole photos, which is stupid but whatever. But here's the BEST part, none get sent to my Camera Roll, oh no, it makes TWO entirely new folders under it in my iPhone. One being the one I made on my desktop, and the other is called Photo Library, and get this, BOTH of these have the same 18 pictures lmao. Yup. Why? Oh who cares at this point. I really just do not care. Apple. All that needs to be said. And as for iPhoto. It's just an unnecessary useless program I have no intentions of ever needing. Why? I keep a crap load of various types of photos in organized folders in my Finder, and iPhoto likes making sure it takes 3x longer to do that. It really just does.  Now back on point. What happened to the good old friggin days when all you had to do was drag AND DROP?!?!?! I legitimately am getting cancer from pondering this question.  Is there not a way to simply drag from Camera Roll somehow to the iMac, like say a specified folder. And Vice Versa from the iMac straight to Camera Roll? A nice workaround to get FROM Camera Roll TO iMac specified folder is "Image Capture" which does exactly just THAT. Quickly and painlessly transfer STRAIGHT FROM AND TO wherever. This is ridiculous. At this point, I'd pay 50 bucks for a simple app to quickly drag and drop from and to Camera Roll and bam. Done.  Sorry for the book, but this is getting ******** trying to get an answer to this and thought I would deem it necessary to be as descriptive as humanly possible.  Looking for simple answers if possible, but at least descriptive. Hey guys you've probably read my other threads about a bad iphone battery.here is what happened.i bought an iPhone 4 from ebay that had an error 21 ( wouldnt power up unless it was plugged in)i had a bad eSn cracked iPhone 4 with me, so i swapped the battery from my old iphone 4 to the new one. The old battery was working perfectly fine on the bad esn iphone. OK so i swapped it and the iphone with error boot it up! i was happy but then while it was still working it got really HOT while being plugged in, while unplugged still warm though. Batter drained quick and got the Temp warning. Then today it died, i tried it on the bad esn iphone and yes battery died. When i opened the iphone again, the battery had some green things coming from the battery. im guessing because it was over heated.not sure what to do now. help anyone?

My fourteen year old brother keeps figuring out the wifi password in our home. He is not allowed to have it AT ALL, and this infuriates me because now that he has figuered it out YET AGAIN my father might take away wifi all together and tie everyone down to wires..... so... is it possible to block one iphone from using the internet at all hours of the day... like even if he figures out what the password is again can the wifi not accept his iphone as a suitable device? Now before you go on about saying that he shouldnt have an iphone if we dont want him to have internet, we've got it all figured out. He doenst have internet on his iphone, we turned that off and we only allow him to use the phone for games, music, texting, and calling, and so that we can use the tracking device on it to keep him safe, the one problem is that he keeps figureing out the password to our wifi and thus gives himself internet access that he is not allowed to have at all.  SO after you have read my little tale please help me answer this one question: Is it possible, whether through an app or through our wifi, to block him from using wifi PERMANANTLY. Thanks

Location Services icon always on even with no apps running iPhone 4

Noticed last night for the first time; as long as LS are turned on, the icon is apprearing in the corner -- even if no apps are running.  Done multiple resets and memory cleaning, as well as turning off every app in the quick-start bar, but the arrow icon is stil there.  No new apps. We're in the middle of moving, so until I get my computer set up in my new place I can't do an iTunes sync to see if that solves it. Anyone else ever have this?  Any suggestions?

I was playing a puzzle game on my iphone when all of a sudden the screen darkened and went black, I could not turn the phone on or off. it is locked solid.I plugged it in to itunes and I received a message saying it was trying to recover, then I got a message saying you want to restore to factory restings, which I said yes and it ran for a short period and I got another message say could not restore due to error 9. Could someone tell me if this is a hardware issue that need to go back to Apple or is there a quick fix.

I need a calendar app that has a quick add for appointments and events, i need a way to pick a date in calendar  view, then add a event or reminder or todo and even add a note with checkmarks or numbered such as 1,2,3, etc.  And. One with geo location alerts for reminders about stuff as i am near the location of the area where i need to go. i have tried just about every notepad  and reminder app out there some do offer the things I am looking for such as (checkmark ) or some from (Appigo)  but like spring-pad or life topics they have so many options and  really too many choices it takes ten steps to set a reminder on those.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please let me know. Hi!Apologize if this question has been submitted multiple times.  I just got an iPhone 5 within the last few days to replace the lemon of a droid that I had.  I've noticed that as I surf, email, text, FB... the norm, that the phone runs warm.  So far, it hasn't gotten excruciatingly hot, or anything, but I usually turn all apps off to let it cool after I notice.  Is this normal??  Other friends of mine also have the phone but say they haven't noticed it.  Just concerned that it may need to be replaced.

Hello everyone.. I'm very confused here; I own an iPhone 5 which I have on O2. I bought it outright from the Apple Store in Belfast and just transferred my Business Sim to a Nano Sim and use that in the phone. I am going to the USA soon (Miami) to be a leader at a Summer Camp for 9 weeks and need to use my iPhone while I'm over there. I have been researching AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verzion all for prices, but I'm still very confused.. I want to call back to the UK for a low price, as well as use the web for WhatsApp and FB messenger etc. Will not be texting back to the UK. I need to know the answer to these questions: 1. When I put my O2 sim into my iPhone (which was bought sim free) does it lock to O2?2. What carriers will support the UK iPhone 5 for LTE? Would like to try this feature out as Northern Ireland hasn't been hit with this yet (probaby never will until 2040 ffs) I understand Verzion will not work as it is CDMA.3. What carrier would be most suited for using in Miami? 4. What would the best price plan be (e.g. is there such thing as a Sim-Only monthly rolling contract or prepaid plans with only sim cards?) Thanks very much for your time! Josh

iPhone 5 camera not working

My iPhone 5 seems to have an issue with its camera, whereby upon starting the camera app, the camera goes as far as showing the shutter screen and sometimes a blank screen instead. None of the buttons on the screen are functional at that point except the gallery of course. Even the front facing camera isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to mend this problem. Yes, I know that it is best for me to go to the Apple service centre and sort it out but I'd prefer if there is any close-to-home quick-fix method anyone know of I can employ? Besides, I've been told that it takes about 14 working days for my phone to get checked and fixed. It's a bit too long for me with university around the corner. So any ideas? Hi everyone, I did the unthinkable and dropped my new iphone 5. Now the screen slowly comes up with verticle green lines. If I'm quick enough, I can get an app to open, otherwise, it is unusable. Though siri still works. I still have my original iPhone 3Gs. It still works fine, also is AT&T. Is it possible to re-activate the old phone again? iPhone 4S data not working

I have an iPhone 4S, 16GB with Virgin Mobile, and my data isn't working. The phone displays 3G, and I get between 3-5 bars, but every time I attempt to use an app that uses data or when I load a web page, it displays "Could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service". Placing/receiving calls and texting still work, however. This isn't a location specific issue either. *I've tried dialing ##UPDATE# to activate "Starting Service Update" probably hundreds of times, unfortunately it always comes back as "Service Update Failed".  *I've also reset Network Settings, and this did nothing for my iPhone. *I've called Apple and Virgin Mobile but they couldn't fix this issue. Virgin Mobile doesn't have an outage at the moment. Some of my friends have VM, and their phones work just fine. The phone works flawlessly when connected to WiFi.  VM iPhones do not use SIM cards.
