Sms new compose sms already have text in it iphone 5

iphone 5 / factory unlocked / USA purchase..  Whenever i compose a new message (SMS), i already have a text (one of the previous sms that i hv sent to someone) there in the message box. I have tried resending the same to myself and other numbers and it gets delivered aswell. But what is annoying is everytime i have to compose a new message and click on icon on top right corner in message app to create a new sms// i have the text alrdy in my typing box and have to select all and delete it.  And when i click on any previous conversations with my contacts and reply them this problem does not exist. This is only when i click new message compose icon or have to start a new conversation with someone. To me it seems as if some kinda signature is added in SMS but i couldnt find any option for the same. Please advice !!

Problems with iphone 5 home buttonnetwork connections

I have an iphone 5 16GB for AT&T and I've had problems with the phone's home button (not recognizing my click) and issues with wifi connections on multiple networks. The phone is obviously still under warranty, but I have a dilemma. The iphone has a small crack in the upper right hand corner of the phone. This happened a few months ago, it doesn't come close to the screen or anything, but I'm wondering if Apple will refuse to swap my phone because of this. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Playback speed for iphone 3GS-where it

Hi all, I have a few Audiobooks which I listen to on my iphone 3GS a lot and I put a couple more and last night I downloaded them and now they have an echo which it didnt before.  From what i have read I need to change the playback speed but from all the feedback I have seen online there is no icon on my phone at the bottom right corner I can touch to change it.  I have just about tried everything with no luck. PLEASE is there anyone that can help me. I have already lost these books once and have spent a lot of money getting them back.  I will very angry if I cant listen to this now. iphone 4S won't charge when plugged in only shows fully charged symbol but doesn't actually charge.

I've tried plugging it in. At first the phone didn't pick up the cable after it did it showed the fully charged logo on the battery in the corner. But on the lock screen it didn't show the battery filling up. When you unplug it, it's still at 10%

Reminders app no longer works. iphone 3G

I am new to iphone but have used this built-in app before with no problems. Now the + button has disappeared from top RH corner and I therefore cannot create any reminders. Can choose any day from the 7 day calendar showing at bottom of screen but still cannot enter any text on any day.  Can select List view but cannot do anything there either (only 'Done' to return to main screen).  I know that I cannot delete this built-in app but how do I 'refresh'  it so that it can be used?  Must I reset apps to their original locations?  Thanks.

I have an iphone 5 in black but it has yellowish spot on screen.

I have an iphone 5. I got it last Monday April 15th. I got the black one. After the first day I noticed there was a small yellowish spot in the top left corner of the screen. It hasn't went away. Today I am going to call apple to try and get a replacement since its still so very new. But I am also wanting to switch to the white iphone 5. Because I want it to match my ipad. And because I don't like the black as good as I thought I would. Do you think apple will let me? And if they do should I switch to the white?

iphone 5 screen has purple and green glow

I've had my iphone 5 since November and yesterday I saw the top left corner of my iphone turn green , I thought it will go away so when I unlocked my iphone it was still there and after using my iphone it starts to spread and at the moment there is a purple glow in the middle covering most of the screen and when I look at the screen from different angles it turns green. I'm going to take it to the apple store in a few days but just wondering if I have to pay them to get it fixed and if anyone else had this problem.

Can t download an app iphone 3G

I've been having a lot of trouble downloading this one app. I've tried restarting my phone and double-tapping the icon. I also thought about deleting it but when I tried there wasn't a little 'x' in the corner so I can't. Any ideas on what I should do?

Location Services icon always on even with no apps running iphone 4

Noticed last night for the first time; as long as LS are turned on, the icon is apprearing in the corner -- even if no apps are running.  Done multiple resets and memory cleaning, as well as turning off every app in the quick-start bar, but the arrow icon is stil there.  No new apps. We're in the middle of moving, so until I get my computer set up in my new place I can't do an iTunes sync to see if that solves it. Anyone else ever have this?  Any suggestions?

Display trouble yellow spot on iphone 4

Dear Customer Service, I have an issue considering my iphone 4. It was bought 2 years ago, in 2011. Approximately 4 months ago I spotted a yellow mark in the bottom left corner of the screen. The yellow mark gets brighter when the iphone works at full capacity (for example, when I use 3G Internet via Wi-Fi access point). No Service Searching . iphone 5

I got my iphone 5 replaced by Apple yesterday via the express replacement service, but since i got it,im constantly getting the "searching" & "No Service" messages in the top corner.I've tried restoring and setting up as a new phone,which worked for a short while then i got the same messages.I've also tried the "restore network settings" but that didnt work either.any ideas what might be the cause? could it be a fault handset from apple?

My uncle gave me one of his "broken" iPhones. Well when I got home that day I tried to power it on and the battery to wall charger came on the screen so I plugged it in and it stated charging so I left and came back to get it to watch my brother play video games in his room and when I plugged it in nothing happened. I eventually got it to work and one night I fell asleep listening to music on it and when I woke up there was water or something wet on it. The flashlight was flickering high and low like the battery was dying it was hotter than **** and no music was playing. I got up and went to the bathroom, got something to eat and came back and the light was not flickering it was still VERY HOT literally I could not pick it up it was so hot. So I put it on the charger and held the home and power buttons down to try to hard boot it but nothing happened like all the other Times it froze. My sister was playing with it a couple of days ago and banged the back of it into a corner or something and broke the back glass and I would try the rice thing butt one screw is stripped and I can't get it out to take it apart. If you have read all of that and can giver any tips or tricks on how to fix it or if can be fixed. PLEASE!!

I cracked my iphone 4s screen.

I dropped my iphone on the road & it cracked at the upper right corner. Initially it was still working but now i can see only vertical bright lines on my screen. I went to the nearest authorized Apple service centre in Bangalore, India. But they told since i had bought the phone from USA they can't help me service it. It was an unlocked iphone 4s 16gb that my wife got me last year. It is still under warranty but I don't think physical damage is covered under that. Anyway I'm ready to pay for the repairs/ replacement only don't know how. Please can somebody help me!!

My iphone won't charge. What should I iphone 5

It shows that a cable is plugged in, and displays the main colored battery on the screen, but it won't charge. Instead of a lightning bolt in the small corner battery it shows a cable plug in. The battery isn't charged yet (it shows it at 14%), but its not taking any charge. Is this a problem with my phone or my charging cable? And does anyone know how to fix it?

iphone 5 camera not working

My iphone 5 seems to have an issue with its camera, whereby upon starting the camera app, the camera goes as far as showing the shutter screen and sometimes a blank screen instead. None of the buttons on the screen are functional at that point except the gallery of course. Even the front facing camera isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to mend this problem. Yes, I know that it is best for me to go to the Apple service centre and sort it out but I'd prefer if there is any close-to-home quick-fix method anyone know of I can employ? Besides, I've been told that it takes about 14 working days for my phone to get checked and fixed. It's a bit too long for me with university around the corner. So any ideas? Does anyone have a flickering play button on the top right corner?  I got the 30pin to lighting adapter and plugged it to my GTI and i would see the play icon flashing constantly. the iphone integration does not work.  My friends iphone 5 worked just fine when we tried his.  Not sure if its a setting or bad hardware?

Extremely weak wifi on my iphone 5

I bought my iphone 5 online through Singapore apple store.As soon as i openned the sealed package, 2 faults were found.1. There is an obvious dent on the right hand top corner of the phone.2. The wifi did not work. I tried to bring my iphone to different places and searched for available wifi and it just could notfind anything, tried to search with my blackberry, ipad and other devices and it was found. I reset the phone to its factory setting through itunes, but did not solve the problem.I updated to ios 6.02 which says will fix the wifi issue, still did not solve the problem. I discovered that if i bring the device very close to its source (a router) it will find a signal butonly receives an extremely low signal & even if it's connected, it will last only about 30 seconds andit died again. Do you think i can replace it with a brand new one? The thing is i live in other countryand the warranty is not international. Thanks

Clearing Out Download Queue in iTunes iphone 4S

Here's my situation:  You know how iTunes lets you scroll through songs you've purchased in iTunes? Great feature, except there's almost a self-destruct button in there. The "Download All" button in the upper right hand corner. If you accidentally hit that button, the last 250+ songs you've purchased from iTunes (assuming you've purchased that many since iTunes started in 2000-whatever) will get added to the download queue. But they won't download. The phone can't handle a queue that big (at least my iphone 4S can't). They'll be stuck in a perpetual queue, and it won't let you download anything else. It also won't let you play any of the songs on the queue, even if you manually transfer them from your PC or Mac via iTunes.  Normally, you can tap a download and it'll let you swipe to erase it. But these seem to be frozen. I can scroll through the list, but there's no ability to swipe. Plugging this particular issue into Google brings up some suggestions, such as "reset all settings", "reset settings", and doing a restore from backup. But if your backups contain the offending download queue, it's restored as well (and I don't have a backup from before that point, at least one that isn't very, very old).  So I made an appointment for the Genius Bar, and their solution (they seemed to recognize the issue immediately) was to wipe the phone and set it up as new. No problem, except there's no way to backup the SMS/MMS messages. The only method for backing up the SMS/MMS messages is the official backup method. There's no syncing or iCloud whatever for it.  So now, I'm stuck with losing all the SMS/MMS from my phone from the past 5 years, or have an iTunes app on my phone that won't work.  Has anyone else faced this and discovered a solution?

Microphone doesn't work when using headphones iphone 4S

My phone works fine normally. Occasionally calls connect and neither party can hear one another but on the whole it's normally okay. I have dropped my phone a few times, once causing a small crack on the top left hand corner. The problem I'm now having is that whenever I use a headset the microphone on my phone doesn't work. To begin with I thought it was the headset but I've tried a few now and have the same problem. I tested this using the voice memo function on my phone. My voice was picked up better when holding the phone to my ear (with headset still plugged in) and was quieter when speaking into the headset. I couldn't hear myself at all when covering the mic on the bottom of the phone and speaking into the headset. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software problem or how I can go about getting it fixed. Help please!

Can I get my iphone 4 replaced in New Delhi India if it out of Apple's 1-year limited warranty

My iphone 4 is around 2 years old now, and it has been working pretty well. But from a few weeks, I am facing problems in the touchscreen. First, the bottom left corner went unresponsive (making me tilt the phone everytime I needed to insert a symbol). The a few days back the entire left edge of the screen got dead. And today, even the bottom edge of the screen has become unresponsive to touch. So you see, the defect is spreading. Typing on my dear phone has become a pain. I have taken utmost care of my phone and the screen is *scratchless*. I have never dropped my phone. There has been no physical damage AT ALL.I have seen many discussions where the phone got replaced by a brand new one, but most of then have been in the USA. I am living in New Delhi, India and I would like to know if any such replacement schemes are available here. And if yes, are they applicable in my case? If not replaceable, how much will a new touchscreen cost my pocket here in India?

iphone 5 displays silent mode and vibrates without moving switch

I purchased a 32gb iphone 5 - Black+Slate, Verizon from the Apple Store last Sunday.  I am running iOS 6.0.1.  Since then, it has been vibrating in my pocket without any apparent cause.  This occassionally happens when I apply pressure to the upper left corner of the phone, and it has also happened while I have had the phone unlocked as well, displaying the silent mode symbol and vibrating.  I'm beginning to suspect that this is a hardware defect with either the vibrating motor or the silent switch, and want to know if anybody can confirm that this is a known defect or issue.  I am concerned that if I don't address it, I won't be eligible for a replacement phone.  This issue does not concern my ability to determine if the phone is set to silent mode or not, nor my vibrate settings.  This is a vibration that occurs randomly, and transiently.  I have also tried a hard reset, switching from silent to normal mode, and restoring the phone. Should I just have it replaced?

Gap on top iphone 5

Does anyone know the problem, that there is a gap between the plastic frame around the display and the metal frame, you can look into? It is near the right corner on top of the phone.

App Updates on iPhone5iTunes

iPhone5 (iOS 6.0.2) and with the latest update of iTunes (11.0.1 (12)): I used to be able to see apps that needed to be updated through the iTunes apps library (there was a notification in the bottom right hand corner telling me that updates were available and how many) and then select to update using my iMac rather than using an expensive download on my iphone.  This option isn't obvious in the latest release of iTunes.  Is it hidden or am I simply missing it?  I want to be able to download the updates to iphone apps through my iMac rather than using my iPhone5.

My iphone camera shutter won't open

The shutter on my iphone 4 will not open, I've tried all the resets and playing around with settings but it will not work I think it's a software glitch. What it looks like when I open my camera app is a closed shutter and the camera/video slider flashing very fast. I can still click the photo thumbnail in the bottom left corner of the camera app and go to my camera roll and that's it. The camera works fine with other apps that use it. I called apple and since my phone is out of warranty they won't help me. I thought maybe if I clicked restore in itunes it would fix it but I'm not sure if it will erase all my data.  How can I make it work again?  right now I'm fine with ios4 but  I might upgrade later on will upgrading maybe fix it? finally, how can I make a copy of all my stuff in a seperate folder? I want ALL my music, photos, videos, notes etc. in a folder that isn't itunes because  I really don't trust it and I've heard enough horror stories of things getting wiped clean to know I should make a hard/original backup.

Dropped My iphone 4

I dropped my iphone 4 from a high place to a rough surface, and the upper left corner of the metal casing (which is the corner of the headphone jack) is bent. The headphone jack is bent too, and the upper little ring of the jack popped out. The headphone is hardly fitting in, and when I'm talking to someone using headphones, they say it's very noisy and hardly understand me. Also the vibration stopped working for a day. When I realized it's not working, I shaked the phone to see if it is just a loose connection and it worked again but the vibration is too weak, I can hardly feel it. Maybe the motor is stuck inside the bent metal. I can say that it is not possible to repair it, because all the middle metal casing, vibration motor and headphone jack needs to be changed. So the phone needs to be replaced. The question is, should I take it to the apple store? This is an accidental damage but is there any chance that they'll replace it? Do the geniuses do these kind of stuff? Do you think apple will cover this damage? Or should I just forget about it and repair it myself? Thank you for your answers.

Suddenly my network says Dan. Instead of AtT-could my iphone have been hijacked

I'm looking for help- my iphone 4 suddenly says "Dan" in the upper left corner where it normally says AT&T- could my phone be hijacked? It also says Dan under network in my settings,,,,,,, help!!!

Did remote app update take out ability to rate songs iphone 3G

I updated to iTunes 11 today and was promptly asked to update my iphone Remote app as well. I didn't see any reason not to do so so I did. I noticed very quickly after playing around with the new app that there doesn't appear to be a way to rate songs in my iTunes library from the app anymore. It may sound silly but this was a very important feature of the old app to me. I like to listen to music and play PC games at the same time and I would rate songs using the app since it was too cumbersome to minimize my games and rate them on iTunes directly. When I click on the icon on the top corner of the app it takes to me to the current playlist instead of the album/song info it used to before. Is there no new way to rate songs? This *****.

I broke my iphone screen

Ok, so my iphone's screen went all weird when i dropped it today. Not shattered, the screen itself broke in the corner. How much will it cost to fix this, should i go to at&t or apple?

iphone 4s microphone not working

So, my iphone 4s microphone does not work. When i talk to people via phone, i have to use speaker phone. Also, voice memos does not pick up any registered noise. I can listen to music and watch youtube without headphones and the speaker works fine. I don't completely mind the whole speakerphone thing, but i would like to have some privacy if i'm in public. Also, not sure if phone has warranty but screen is slightly cracked in the top right corner so not completely sure if apple would still cover it. If anyone has any kind of ideas on how to repair this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
